I was looking for wedding planning services as well but my friend had no doubts that the team would be excellent for all services. I had reached out about 13 months before my wedding date and knew in our first call that this would be the right fit. I was planning a fusion wedding - I’m American born, Indian heritage to be married to a Scottish boy - and funded by Indian parents. Navigating the nuances of what each party wanted, and what I wanted was complicated to say the least, but Surbhi was so helpful every step of the way. She took in each of our wants and constraints and level set our expectations on what would be attainable within those requirements. Most of all, I really felt that she was in my court. In the vendor selection stage, she was great in shortlisting vendors based on distance and cost, negotiating many of our costs down. She was even able to help find bagpipers to play in the Baraat which was a really lovely fusion moment with the dholi! In the months leading up to the wedding, she was extremely organized, keeping on top of us about the items we needed to complete - stationery and any custom items - and finalizing everything we needed to with vendors - floral additions, music for all the different aspects of the weekend, and everything in between. I also learned in this period that I inherently hired a therapist because as an Indian bride, that is NEEDED. About four months out, we decided to extend our contract to include the Sangeet as well. It absolutely felt like the right decision, especially since we were working across multiple venues with additional vendors. Come the wedding weekend, Surbhi and her team, Heema and Harsh, were just the best possible support I could have asked for. They truly made it feel like once the weekend started, all of me, my parents, and my new husband and his family could actually just experience and be present without worrying about anything. Of course, unexpected things came up—as they inevitably do—but by the time I learned about them, Surbhi and her team had already handled and resolved them. That, to me, is the mark of an incredible wedding planner. We’re still in the post-wedding phase of debriefing with our friends and family, and every single person I’ve spoken to who attended has said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to (and my friends have thrown some incredible weddings!). From the very beginning, Surbhi brought not only professionalism and exceptional organizational skills, but also warmth, patience, and a personal touch that made us feel we were in truly caring and capable hands. Planning a large Indian wedding with multiple events, working with several vendors, and juggling many tasks can be overwhelming, but Surbhi made the entire experience remarkably smooth. She listened carefully to our wishes, offered thoughtful suggestions, anticipated potential problems, and kept everything beautifully organized. During the planning stages, Surbhi helped us screen and select the many vendors (decorators, DJs, florists, etc.). Her input was invaluable as she had deep knowledge of which vendors would work best for us. She also worked with the banquet managers of the two venues for our two wedding events. She held weekly meetings, discussing various aspects of the events as they came up, giving us much needed peace of mind and confidence that things would go well. She stayed on top of issues as they arose and discussed them with us so they could be resolved in a timely manner. Surbhi helped us stick to our budget while at the same time, getting the best bang for our buck! She negotiated down the price of multiple vendor contracts and offered knowledgeable suggestions to help reduce costs. Surbhi’s experience in planning and managing Indian weddings was a very big asset as she was aware of the many nuances of rituals involved in Indian weddings and her insight was extremely helpful. In the execution stage, Surbhi and her team were flawless. Throughout the weekend, they expertly managed the timeline and logistics, taking ownership of all event materials and seamlessly handling the flow of guests, including unexpected arrivals. During the celebrations, Surbhi coordinated vendors, kept events on schedule, and quietly managed every detail behind the scenes. My wife and I never had to worry, allowing us to simply enjoy this very special time with our daughter, new son-in-law, family, and friends. Another example of Surbhi’s professionalism came during the week of the wedding, when a nor’easter was forecast for the New York area. Despite the uncertainty, Surbhi remained calm and reassuring, closely monitoring the situation and preparing contingency plans for every possibility. Knowing she was ready to act gave us tremendous peace of mind. Fortunately, the storm never materialized, but her preparation reinforced just how valuable it was to have an experienced planner overseeing everything. Surbhi combines meticulous organization with warmth, patience, and genuine personal attention. We always felt that she cared about our celebration as much as we did. Looking back on a beautiful and memorable wedding, we are enormously grateful for everything Surbhi did to make it possible. After the wedding, several of our friends and relatives told us that they not only had a great time, but all the arrangements were excellent.
