Once Upon A Vow

ove story and build genuine connection. The time taken to get to know us, our love story and to so perfectly put the ceremony together to capture these moments, the wider context of our love in today's society and to bring out the genuine joy of the day, made it a truly special moment for us and our families. We cannot recommend them enough to people looking for a genuine, heartfelt ceremony. There statement on their website sums it up perfectly, "crafting personalized wedding ceremonies that reflect your unique love story." Thank you again for making our day so truly incredible!

open house at our venue. After our first conversation Dani already felt like a friend and we knew we wanted to work with her. We scheduled a call to talk more about an English/ Spanish bilingual ceremony. Dani remembered my Maid of Honors name, who accompanied us to the open house. That small gesture showed Dani truly cares about her work. Throughout the wedding planning process Dani was beyond helpful, giving advice when we ran into a problem with the city clerk. She got to know us so well. The ceremony she wrote not only represented us as individuals but also as a couple. She helped us to honor our mothers during our bilingual ceremony. Our guests continue to tell us how amazing Dani was, how well she knew us, and how personalized the ceremony was. We truly feel lucky to have had Dani as our officiant and would 20000% recommend her to all of our friends and family.

ouching and included unique parts of our relationship seamlessly. She absolutely charmed our guests. As a person you will be lucky to interact with, Dani is warm, fun, and professional.

rough all the chaos and craziness of that day, she was calm and genuinely warm presence put us at ease and made our day perfect. If you’re in the market for an officiant, look no further! Take my word for it: book Dani, and I guarantee you’ll cherish every moment. We couldn’t be happier.

orking together with our officiant to create a personalized wedding ceremony, but didn’t expect how profoundly Dani’s thoughtful questionnaires and discussions would positively impact our wedding experience as a whole. We had the unique bonding experience of communicating our love story and putting our feelings into words together with Dani’s guidance, which not only made the whole experience of planning a wedding together that much more sentimental, but it resulted in such a special ceremony that was warm, funny, and heartfelt (and wonderfully delivered by Dani). We could not have asked for a more perfect experience! Once Upon a Vow *far* exceeded our expectations.

ct and all we ever wanted

who prior to the wedding, took the time to find out our stiry and this made our wedding very personal and super special. She also took the time out to put together a very beautiful, Taylor Swift inspired reading for my daughter to read. I honestly cannot recommend Dani enough - just awesome!

never expected. Thank you taking the time to ask the questions you did, with surprising consequences, because we couldn’t have had our day without you. What a magical and heart felt ceremony you performed and it will remain with us for the rest of our lives. Your words of, it doesn’t matter how young or old one may be - when you find a love - keep it. And to have you in the photos as well as the kids, will be forever cherished. Thank you - and trainers win the day in our hearts. 🤣😂❤️❤️

ove story that felt so right and personal. Her questions were thought provoking, deep, silly, and really brought forward the aspects of our relationship we wanted to highlight. She is a masterful storyteller and shining light of a human, exuding warmth and care for her clients and hopping right on board with any idea to run with it. We couldn't be more grateful and recommend this team any more highly!

, she knew from the first video call who we were and what we were about which resulted in her writing the most perfect ceremony for us. Thank you it would not have been what it was without your support and attention to detail. Laura-Anne and Chris Morrison x

e ceremony was which was all down to her. We only had 1 zoom call beforehand and it really felt like we had known her forever. Highly recommend if you are looking for someone to create a bespoke, personal and memorable ceremony.

ular. From the beginning, Dani invested a lot of time getting to know us and hearing our story through three very fun sessions. This resulted in a very personalized ceremony, with lots of fun anecdotes included. The ceremony was so tailored to us, many of our guests thought that Dani was a close friend. She even did portions in Spanish, for our non-English speaking relatives. Dani was also a very helpful and calming presence, walking us and our wedding party through the entire process before guests arrived. We truly could not be happier with Once Upon a Vow. Highly recommended if you’re looking for an officiant to throw away the typical template and perform a ceremony that you’ll always remember!

reated a beautiful speech for our ceremony. Everything far exceeded our expectations and we could not have been happier.

rything that Daniela did was thoughtful, intentional, and professional. From the very beginning, Daniela went out of her way to get to know who we are as individuals, and also to understand our story. From filling out a love questionnaire, to diving deep into our story over multiple video calls, Daniela was able to tell our story better than we ourselves could have once the wedding day finally arrived. On our wedding day, Daniela put together a story and a ceremony that felt personal, loving, funny, relatable, heartfelt, and entertaining. We had so many people ask us where we found Daniela and tell us how they had never witnessed a ceremony as beautifully done as ours, all thanks to her! One side of our family is Dominican, and Daniela was able to gracefully bring Spanish into our love story without directly repeating every line word for word. This made it accessible to Spanish Speaking only guests, and not repetitive for others. More than one person came up afterwards with tears in their eyes expressing how appreciative they were to have been able to take part in the Ceremony because it was also in Spanish. Daniela went above and beyond more than once. Daniela coordinated our rehearsal onsite the day before the wedding. We had more than 20 people in the party, including children and parents, and she did such an amazing job at making people feel comfortable and prepared for the ceremony. We both agree that the ceremony was our favorite part of our wedding. The vibe, the emotions, the story telling... All of this came together to create the most special moment of our lives. We highly recommended Once Upon a Vow and Daniela as an officiant for anyone who is looking! You will be in great hands! -Erica & Neal

htful, and perfect! Thank you again. I highly recommend Once Upon a Vow to everyone!!!

h care and passion, telling our love story in such a beautiful way. Danni even stayed later than booked, taking some pics and helping with our bags. Overall 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Danni

se for our special moment. In the months leading up to our elopement she kept us informed with many wonderful emails and also walked us through the marriage license process! We felt like we had known Dani for years as she was so personable and kind, yet extremely professional. If you are eloping and need an officiant, please choose Once Upon A Vow! Best experience, best officiating, for the best day ever.

g planner putting all the pieces together, an author creating vows that fit us perfectly… she’s EVERYTHING you need!

more as she really brought tears to both of us in her words of our Story

our ceremony was, and we absolutely agree! There were parts of our ceremony that as she was reading them, felt like they were synced up perfectly with our private vows, which was so serendipitous. Leading up to our wedding day, she had done zoom consults with us to get to know who we are as a couple and what’s really important to us. She truly got us in a way we never expected, and in a way we even got to know each other more as a couple throughout those calls! Something also really special to us was that she did parts of our ceremony in Spanish. This meant a lot because my husband’s parents only speak Spanish, so they were able to follow along as well, while also allowing us to add a nod of appreciation to his heritage. Finding someone who could make us laugh, cry, and feel all the feels was so important and she absolutely nailed it. We’re so grateful Dani was our officiant and we’re so happy to call her our friend :)

personalized wedding ceremony. We were absolutely touched by the ceremony she was able to create for us because it really captured our values. Our wedding guests would not stop raving about how lovely our ceremony was. We HIGHLY recommend you hire Once upon a vow.

s so unique and special. Dani took the time to truly get to know us as a couple and ask the deep questions that have you appreciating the journey you and your soon to be spouse have had. The process was very inclusive as well, we got to see a rough outline ... to keep an element of surprise and we could not have been happier. The impact Dani had during our ceremony was incredible. The room was filled with love and our guests left amazed with the work Dani had done. I've been constantly asked how was it that they were able to depict such an amazing picture of our love journey and I have to say this is Dani's superpower. Thank you again for such a memorable moment that will forever be in our core memory <3

hem to learn more about my wife and I. Karla was also gracious enough to throw in some Spanish which made me and my family feel represented and included in so many ways. Thank you Karla, we can't wait to rewatch our wedding videos specifically for the ceremony.

most important days of my life. Not only were they supportive and open to our ideas, but they were very consistent! The day of the wedding we met with Dani and she honestly made us feel like she was family. We felt so comfortable and even though we were in front of strangers in NYC she made us feel like we were the only ones in that moment. She related to us she made us laugh and cry and I instantly knew she MADE that day memorable. We did not want her to leave ! Haha I will 100% recommend once upon a vow to everyone.!

reflection of our values and love for each other. We have received so many compliments on how heartfelt, personal, and joyful the ceremony was. Many of our guests thought she was a long-lost friend! Karla made the whole process so stress free, easy, and fun and her energy helped our loved ones appreciate the ceremony as much as we did. Highly recommend!

d planned and then ended up not wanting to burden them with the task on the big day. Our planner recommended Once Upon A Vow, and we reached out around 11 weeks out from the ceremony. We heard back immediately from Dani, and she immediately got to work. Following one questionnaire and maybe 3 hours together total, Dani put together one of the most beautiful ceremonies and knew so much about our story and our relationship. As a queer couple, we didn't have a ton of ideas for the ceremony itself, and we had so many questions / uncertainty about what we wanted the ceremony to be. Dani guided us through this seamlessly and gave us countless ideas to help shape the story and the event itself. All of our guests complimented Dani and thought she was a family or friend due to how much she "got us." I didn't know what to expect / was unsure about hiring an officiant and not using someone in our "circle," but honestly, Dani was the best choice we could have made, and I am so grateful for her and Once Upon A Vow. Truly the best person, the best officiant, and a must have at any wedding / ceremony.

erfect! Everyone loved her and her amazing work. We all had a great time! Words cannot express how much we appreciate all of her kindness and guidance during this journey! Dani personalized our ceremony based of a questionnaire and information she gathered when we met virtually. It was truly a beautiful surprise to stand by her and hear her say our story in the personalized ceremony. Many guests thought Dani knew us for years! Many were touched by it all and most importantly, my husband and I truly felt the moment so real and the love beautifully. We owe that to Dani. Everything went amazingly well and we cannot express how appreciative we are for everything that Dani did for us! We HIGHLY recommend Once Upon A Vow to anyone that needs their services.

date three times! Our first date was booked for July 25 2021. We were finally married June 14 2022! Throughout this time Dani was extremely helpful and understanding! She made the wedding side of our visa application stress free! When it came to the day and ceremony, Dani was AMAZING! We couldn’t have hoped for anything better! She had listened to everything we had said and incorporated it into the ceremony! Our families were shocked at how amazing she was!

- to the reorganization of our elopement many times due to covid - Karla was always there! We eloped from the UK and Karla was super helpful and officiant at providing information and answering our questions, we felt so at ease! On the big day we were so pleased to finally meet her in person, and her words touched us so much! Our children were welcomed with open arms to join in our ceremony, they also loved her! KARLA - Thank you again - so so much! You will forever be part of our Wedding Day!

al session where she asked us questions about our love story. We had a blast revisiting our cherished memories and sharing them with her. Although some questions really made us think, they were critical to her getting a personalized ceremony created for us. It was well worth it. We had an inter-faith, multilingual wedding where we blended our Mexican and Jewish heritage. Dani did an amazing job combining our story while honoring traditions that echoed our upbringing. The ceremony felt elegant and made some of our guests tear up. We wholeheartedly recommend Dani for your wedding, she will truly make your wedding feel special and one-of-a-kind. -Claudia and Paul

zing with personality that fit exactly with our style. She was a total pro while being fun and brought the most positive, magnetic energy! Could not recommend her enough. <3

you'd known for ages. We did an online call initially where we told Dani about us and our relationship and got to meet her initially. From there we had endless support in applying for the licence and even when I had a last minute panic that I might not have the right details, Dani was more than happy to have me send it all over and reassure me. On the day of the ceremony itself Dani was there waiting for us, and she just radiated the happiness we felt. The vows were beautiful, so much more than the traditional and felt so personal and the ceremony itself included so many of the details and information we'd shared during that initial call and was so us it was perfect. After the ceremony Dani stayed with us a while for some photos (she let us have a photo with her) and even carried my bag for me, whilst making sure I was Ok in my by that time, painful shoes. If you are looking for someone to give you a personalised beautiful ceremony, look no further, added bonus of how lovely Dani is. Thank you Dani! <3

Dani made us feel at ease straight away and done the perfect job shaping and conducting our ceremony. We could not have wished for anything better it was truly amazing. From planning in 2020, having to postpone for 2 years, waiting not knowing if our wedding would even go ahead due to the pandemic Dani was there for us throughout. From updates on how things were in NYC, watching how Once Upon A Vow adapted weddings around the pandemic, to posting a beautiful Instagram story on what would have been our original wedding date in May 2020 right up to our wedding on 24th March 2022! Dani has always been so friendly, supportive, personalised, fun, full of ideas and very responsive. We eloped from Scotland, UK - so were unfamiliar with the marriage process in NYC - Dani made this so simple. She gave us step by step guides on how to apply for our marriage licence and everything else in between right up to getting married and sending off our completed marriage license. No question was silly and Dani responded swiftly with all the answers. Our ceremony was beautiful, we could not have asked for anything better. The way in which Dani tells your love story and conducts your ceremony was so special and we will cherish this forever. Dani took the time to get to know us as a couple and crafted this in to something beautiful. We cannot thank Dani enough for this. We are in awe of your work and will be forever thankful for everything you done to make our day so perfect. Thank you so much, Riah & Steven

ial. My partner and I went into this process looking for something basic to mimic a City Hall ceremony (in lieu of going to city Hall due to the high demand and worrying we would not secure an appointment.) From my initial interactions with Dani and Karla, we knew their vibes were a good match, so we sealed the deal immediately! What I was not expecting was the incredible care and communication that Karla put in to learning more about us to then craft such a perfect officiant speech and vows. Her check-ins leading up to our wedding day were well-timed and made us feel totally prepared and excited. I thank them both very much for being a part of our wedding and going above and beyond to give it a personal touch along with mountains of enthusiasm and excitement for us :)

us and face a snowstorm to get us married if needed. Not only that, but Karla went above and beyond and performed a beautiful ceremony, half in English and half in Spanish. She made sure (even on short notice) to learn about us and our relationship and include all of those little and meaningful details on the ceremony. She made us feel so special that we really can’t express how thankful we feel to have connected with her. We can’t recommend her highly enough!!

12-12-20 in front of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree...which was postponed due to covid and rescheduled to 12-12-21. From start to finish she went above and beyond. We met with her in a coffee shop to answer some questions and so she could just get a feel for what we were looking for, the conversation flowed like we knew each other for years! She made us feel so warm and comfortable with the whole experience and I couldn't wait for her to perform our ceremony. The attention to detail was outstanding and her enthusiasm was a shining light having to plan a ceremony from Florida. As the date got closer, she sent an outline of what she was going to say and sent us instructions on getting the marriage license. It was all a very painless experience and I have to give that credit to Daniela! As the day arrived, we had a couple hurdles with location, and she actually went out early and sent us pictures of alternate spots. In the end it couldn't have been a more perfect location! She even surprised us with some additional details in the ceremony that we didn't even remember mentioning to her and it melted our hearts! Not to mention the extra personalized touches and nods to my favorite Christmas movie Elf! I would choose her over and over again!!!

or. "how did you meet her, she knows you two so well!". Welp, I didnt know her. I knew her as the wonderful officiant who married my sister and brother in law back in 2018. She is so calming and certain of herself and it makes everyone in the room feel at ease and as a family. We wanted a love story as our ceremony. We didnt want religion at all, but we do believe in how energy and the universe connects us, and she made us feel so connected and loved in this ceremony. We did a beer mixing ceremony which was her idea and SO FUN!! I also wanted to incorporate my mom in some way since my dad had the opportunity to walk me down the aisle and have my first dance; so she suggested we do a ring warming ceremony, which was BEAUTIFUL. If anyone is looking for a good vibe, loving human who can tell a love story while legally marrying you and your best friend - please please PLEASE consider Daniela from Once Upon a Vow. <3

Karla had us fill out questionnaires to get to know us before we met over video chat. It was such an organic conversation with her getting to know our story and what made us the couple we are. Once we received the outline for the ceremony it all felt so real and it was beautiful. A perfect blend of English and Spanish without sounding repetitive. She captured our sense of humor and importance of family. I thought I knew what to expect for the big day. I WAS MISTAKEN! Karla snuck in some gems that had everyone laughing and crying and really making the ceremony personal. You could feel the work she put into making our day unique and special. I can't stress enough on how perfect she made our wedding day.

iant or not. Well, I cannot tell you how beyond thankful I am that we not only decided to have one but that we found Once Upon A Vow. From the first email exchange, Karla was incredibly friendly, warm, and supportive. Answering any questions we had and offering advice. When it came to the day of, to say we were blown away by her speech would be an understatement. From just the email exchanges alone, she managed to craft a speech that encapsulated our relationship and values in such a way that it left our family members asking if we had known her before the wedding! They couldn't believe this was the first time we had met in person! Her words were touching, hopeful, funny, and so beautifully poignant. She helped ground us in a way that allowed us to truly appreciate this wonderful, intimate moment we were sharing while also connecting this personal experience to the larger universal realities we all share. I cannot recommend her enough and we cannot thank her enough for helping make our day truly memorable!

eedback. Our ceremony was bilingual and she made it really inclusive. Our guests legitimately thought she was a good friend of ours because of how personal our ceremony was. We’re so lucky to have had her on our special day!

capturing our relationship and personalities (seriously, it's like she knew us for years!). She had us genuinely laughing and tearing up during our ceremony and radiated positive energy and warmth. We can't thank her enough for making our day so special and meaningful. She was also so helpful with answering questions about logistics and communicated everything really clearly with us. 100% recommend!

pictures! She met with us multiple times to learn about us and our story and made the ceremony so personalized our guests thought we wrote her speech for her. It honestly felt like having your best friend officiate your wedding. She made our day more special than we could have imagined.

easy to communicate with, and so lovely and easygoing - and they helped made our wedding flawless. <3
