ed us immensely. Julie and Jessica took the most beautiful pictures on our wedding day and we could not be happier with the outcome!! Thank you for everything!! You will not regret booking with Old South Studios!!!

eir photos are magical! I would highly recommend Old South to photograph your big day!
Where do begin! I first met Julie and her team in 2014 when she photographed one of my girlfriends weddings. She has since photographed so many of my friends, and I knew immediatel...
y Old South Studios would be my photography team one day. My husband and I got married September 29th and we came home to find our entire photo gallery waiting! Every. single. photo is beyond what we could have imagined. Dana photographed my wedding and captured the most tender and loving moments between our family and friends and will be memories I will cherish forever. I used OSS for our engagement photos, bridal portraits, and wedding and simply wouldn't trust anyone else to capture such special moments. Julie even showed up on my wedding day on her way to photograph another wedding just to say hello. She is professional, prompt, and a total boss-woman in managing such a phenomenal studio. Working with Julie and her amazing team has been the best choice I've ever made!
I will say right off that Julie Staley and Old South Studios is the BEST photographer you can find! After finalizing on our wedding planner and our venue, The Duke Mansion, the fi...
rst vendor our wedding planner (who has worked as an event planner for over 14 years) said we needed to secure was our photographer, Julie at Old South Studios. Knowing how important it is to have an A+ photographer, my daughter, her fiancé, my husband and I all met with Julie. We knew immediately Julie was the one. She not only does exquisite work, but her eye for picture taking is amazing--she is truly a master at her craft.
Her pictures are timeless (not trendy)--something you can look at in 20-30 years and still love. As important as that was to us, the real thing that hooked us was Julie's personality. She instantly makes you feel like her best friend--and she will take care of you. As busy as she is photographing weddings, she has the ability to make you feel like you are her only wedding! She is available to help you select your other vendors, answer any wedding related questions, and help you with a timeline to make everthing goes smoothly. My daughter truly felt like Julie was her best friend and--made a girl who did not really want to be the center of attention--totally relaxed and happy because she knew Julie had everything under control.
Julie took Emily and Nick's engagement pictures--and they could not have been better. Julie has a way of capturing the perfect facial expressions for both formal photos--as well as informal photos--and takes the stress out of having your picture taken--making it a fun event. Next Julie took Emily's bridal portraits at The Duke Mansion--again PERFECT! She is so organized, knows exactly what to capture and exactly where to capture it. Julie was so professional that on lookers thought it was a photo shoot for a model. She made Emily so at ease--and all the pictures were more than beautiful.
Next--the wedding day! Emily, and especially Nick, were not too sure whether they wanted a first look or not--and after talking to Julie, she convinced them that they would be glad they had a first look. Wow, was she right!!! As a result, the bride and groom ended up having two first looks--one before the wedding and one at the wedding. Nick said he was so nervous before the first look that he could not have imagined having it at the wedding. It was the best decision ever! Julie also captured Emily's first look with her dad--which was ever so special!! All the wedding ceremony and reception pictures were perfect and taken so quickly--no one missed a beat! Julie even made sure to capture night shots with the couple outside in the courtyard, final dance pictures of the couple, and excellent shots of the couple leaving at the end of the night.
We will be forever indebted to Julie and Alyssa for capturing everything perfectly. And to top it off, Julie sent out a sneak peek at some of the pictures the day after the wedding--and she had all the wedding pictures completed and to us in less than two weeks. I would have given Julie and Alyssa 100 stars if we could have. After seeing them photograph our wedding, it is easy to see how Julie is called upon to capture daughters two and three for some families. Julie runs a great business (Old South Studios) and is truly the BEST of the BEST! I can promise you that you will not be disappointed in any way!!!
Julie and the girls at Old South are amazing!! They perfectly captured our wedding and shared our entire gallery in less than a week (while we were still on our honeymoon)! Julie h...

uldn’t have trusted anyone else with photography on our wedding day! My husband and myself cannot say enough good things about them! We recieved our entire wedding gallery back less than two weeks after we said I do! The images are flawless and we couldnt be more pleased with their work, personality ( they make you very comfortable in front of the camera), and they were always early!
Highly remcommend Old South Studios you can definitely count on them for your special day!
I wish there were more stars I could give Julie on this review. From the minute I walked into her studio, I knew we were in good hands and where we needed to be. She was wonderfu...
l to work with during my daughters bridal portrait session. She spent so much time with her and paid attention to every detail that day. We couldn’t be happier with the portraits. She communicated with us often, helping establish a very detailed time line that was so important for the day of the wedding. And on the day of, she worked so very hard to get tons of amazing shots. We had 8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, two flower girls and one ring bearer. She kept the group organized and moving to get all of the shots we wanted but still made it fun. When we were overwhelmed in the moment, she helped us refocus. I am so grateful for that. She is an experienced professional and anticipates things we had no clue about. She and Alisha did a great job through the wedding and reception of capturing many special moments for our family to treasure. I told my younger daughter when it comes time for her to get married, we will plan around Julie’s availability. If you can’t tell, we think she’s pretty amazing.
Julie, you are THE BEST! You bring an energy that is so uplifting, makes you feel right at ease, and allows you to know that you are in great hands. You go above and beyond what an...
y photographer would do. You make the day to run perfectly smooth. You have a magic touch at being able to capture the best pictures of little kids even when they refuse to stay still! Our pictures turned out beautifully, and I would recommend you to anyone and everyone! You seriously feel like family, and I feel like I not only walked away with hundreds and hundreds of beautiful memories that were captured in amazing photographs, but I also walked away with a new friend! You are the best around, and keep doing what you do! God gave you a gift, and you sure are blessing people with it!

even emailed me a list of other vendors she would recommend. From the beginning Julie made me feel like I was her only bride. She is super responsive, creative, organized and kind! We went with Alisha to photograph our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. She also did my bridal portraits. Alisha IS THE BEST! We loved getting to work with her prior to the wedding. We even did some fall pictures with Alisha. She made us feel beyond comfortable in front of the camera and made sure we looked 100%! We received the link to our wedding photos less than 2 weeks after the wedding! We got to enjoy looking at them on our honeymoon. We were absolutely wowed by how beautiful the photos were! Alisha captured so many beautiful moments without anyone realizing she was even there! Pictures last a lifetime and I am SO HAPPY we went with Old South to capture our big day!
100% your go to photographers. The perfect day lasts 24 hours but the photos are forever.

. Alisha was the perfect fit for us. She made both my fiance and myself so at ease throughout our engagement session. My bridal portraits were TO DIE FOR - I could not have asked for more. Everything exceeded my expectations!! xoxo

who take over after the photographers come back from the event. This means that you get your photos back so quickly. We got our wedding photos back after just 2 weeks! She recommended the perfect photographer for us- Lindsey. We worked with her on our engagement photos and on our wedding day. The pictures came out better than we ever could have hoped. Lindsey captured our romantic vision perfectly. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. I cannot recommend Julie and her staff enough!
Old South is absolutely amazing!! Julie is so easy to work with and will respond to you very quickly. I found Old South on instagram and knew I wanted them to capture my wedding!...
Their pictures are amazing and I was so excited to receive mine. Alisha and Alyssa were our photographers and they were so professional and made sure to capture EVERY detail. No need to look anywhere else, these ladies know what they are doing! Everyone complimented on how amazing our photos turned out! Thank you Old South for letting me relive my day through all these photos!! -Rebecca

es when I was nervous . They were amazing.
Julie was so bubbly and fun to work with and of course extremely professional.
I promise you this is what you want in your photographer. You want someone who can make the stressful wedding planning fun and carefree, while being able to completely trust that they will capture the wedding pictures you've been dreaming of your whole life (or pinning on pinterest for the last few years :) ). Not once was I ever worried about our wedding photography after we booked Old South.
Jason, my now husband, is not big on taking pictures at all and after our engagement session the first comments he made were about how comfortable Alisha made him feel. Alisha was so easy to work with in front of the camera. From engagements, to bridals, to the wedding day she NAILED IT. Not only do I love ALL of our wedding pictures but I'm in awe of her talent and creativity with a camera.
Lastly, I cannot tell you how many guests at the wedding came up to Jason and I after the wedding and talked about how great Alisha and Aleta were during the reception. They were literally everywhere. They captured so many precious memories and were present in every moment, whether we were cutting the cake or Jason's grandfather was getting down to Nelly on the dance floor.
I cannot speak enough positive, vibrant words about OSS. We are still reliving our day through all our pictures on a daily basis and our wedding was almost 2 months ago. Thank you Julie, Alisha, Aleta, and Old South Studios for making our day so special and providing us with pictures we will treasure forever.

Julie! We could not be more thrilled with our decision. She took my daughter's surprise proposal, her wedding portraits and her wedding weekend! Julie is the ABSOLUTE BEST at what she does! This should be the first vendor you chose! She makes everyone feel comfortable, she is extremely professional and such a dream to work with! She is a MOM and she takes care of her brides with that same sweet, thoughtful motherly instinct! She captured every moment of the day and you can sense the love in the portraits she captures! We received links to all the photos extremely quickly and she writes the most beautiful blogs about the event! OUTSTANDING COMPANY!!!! LOVE THEM!!

having their picture taken. The pictures from our reception came out so well and they really took great shots of our guests for us to share with them. Since our wedding in October I've known a few couples who have gotten engaged and I've recommended they use Old South as well. I hope this review reaches those who are looking for a photographer for their upcoming wedding. Old South WILL NOT disappoint!

They have an eye for getting neat shots, and they make sure to photograph every detail. Looking through our pictures, it felt like we were there all over again. Most couples have to wait months for their pictures, Old South had our pictures back to us 11 days after our wedding. ELEVEN!
After your first meeting with Julie, you won't look back! Old South is the way to go! Really, stop looking and hire them!

nd her feel comfortable and confident. Not only is she highly organized, reliable and professional, she is a genuinely wonderful person. She will also fix your veil when it gets crooked, learn the names of your bridal party and family. climb on tables and chairs, or lay on the ground in the mud to get the best pictures, and she does all of these things because she cares SO much about her brides. Julie and Alyssa photographed my engagement pictures, bridal portraits and wedding. God has blessed them with so much talent. I would recommend Old South to anyone who is searching for the BEST wedding photographer.

could have imagined, they were delivered so quickly so we didn't have to anxiously await them. Not to mention these girls are so much fun to be around and know how to make you feel comfortable behind a camera! I also really appreciated the help of the vendor guide we received. It made us so much more comfortable in making decisions for which vendors to partner with. I can't say a negative word about Old South Studios. I would highly recommend them to any bride searching out there!

de to choose Old South Studios to capture their priceless moments. They were one of the first vendors I selected in my planning process and were nothing short of a blessing. In retrospect I realize I had no idea what I was looking for other than photo quality when searching for a wedding photographer (boy, was I wrong). Once I met the ladies at Old South I realized they were doing far more than taking pictures. They became the my lens to one of life's greatest and most intimate events. I trusted them whole-heartedly and in the aftermath, the pictures spoke for themselves. We got them back 2 weeks after our wedding!! That is unheard of!
Without question, they provide the most outstanding customer service of any business with which I have ever worked. Period. Their organization and responsiveness is superior. If you have a question or concern, it will be answered instantly. Their payment process is smooth, easy and assists you with your planning and budgeting. Above all, their warmth, fun-loving personality and genuine approach makes them more of a friend at your wedding than a vendor. So, I promise- you won't regret it!
If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Between Julie's incredible assistance (and awesome advice!) on the front end to Dana and Allison's finished product, it was a dream working...
with Old South Studios. Julie was so responsive that not 20 minutes had passed between my completing my inquiry on their website to her calling and reaching out to me! I believe the best part about Old South is they are not just merely photographers in the moment, but they want to help you tell your story in the most all encompassing way. They do this by taking the time to get to know the people on the other side of the lens and I believe this is something that sets them apart from any other photographer I've ever worked with. Our big day FLEW by and the next thing I know, we're on our honeymoon... All I could think about after the gifts were unwrapped and the vacation was over, was that I HAD to see our photos to be able to relive the day in all its glory! And sure enough within two weeks, our album was through editing and the finished product was absolutely stunning! I cannot rave enough about how wonderful our experience was with Old South Studios - I'm so thankful to them for their passion in what they do as well as for them merely being a joy to work with. I 1000% recommend them!!

d her team also did an amazing job capturing the most important moments! She was also someone I could turn to for advice on anything needed. I have received so many comments on how beautiful my pictures are ("they look like they are a magazine spread!")!! Book her, you will not regret your decision; she works MAGIC and is the sweetest, most calming person you will meet!!
The weeks leading up to the wedding, Julie helped create structure around family portraits and were willing to hop on the phone to finalize any last details. Alyssa and Dana were ...
great to work with too. Old South staff is so personable, easy to talk to, they were willing to be flexible when things didn't go according to plan and we had no control, and were so incredibly creative with our shots. n the shoot and there was definitely not a dull moment. At my bridal shoot Julie again did not disappoint. I loved so many of the images that it was really hard to decide on which one to use for a canvas. Finally, our wedding day. 6 months prior to our marriage my husband lost his mother. The day was bittersweet as she was not there to share in the joy. Julie made sure to capture the little moments and things we did to remember his mother on this day. She even came up with a beautiful idea for a balloon release as we exited the church. The pictures of this are so beautiful and moving. Once the tears were wiped away she moved on to catching candid images of guests dancing and having fun. At sunset, my husband and I did one more private session with Julie outside and these shots are amazing!
When I look back at our wedding day there is so much that is a blur (and it was only 3 weeks ago!). The images Julie captured are the only way to look back at our special day. For this reason the wedding photographer is one of the most important vendors. We could not be happier that we found Julie! God has truly blessed her with amazing talent.
