Tony Lackie was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end, and we could not have been happier with everything he brought to our wedding day.
Tony handled music for our entire day...
, including the pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and every transition felt seamless. He understood the different atmosphere each part of the day needed and adjusted the energy perfectly as things moved from one moment to the next.
The ceremony music was especially important to us, and Tony absolutely nailed it. My bridal entrance song was timed perfectly, and all of our special dances, introductions, and important moments throughout the reception went exactly the way we had hoped. Having someone so attentive and experienced handling those moments allowed us to simply enjoy them instead of worrying about cues or timing.
He was also an excellent master of ceremonies. Tony kept everything organized, made announcements clearly and naturally, and helped the evening flow without ever making himself the center of attention. He knew when to bring the energy up, when to let a moment breathe, and how to read the room throughout the night.
And when it came time to party, he was incredible. Tony knew how to keep the dance floor going and could move between different styles, generations, and moods without losing momentum. His transitions were smooth, his music choices were great, and he genuinely knew how to build a set rather than simply play songs one after another. Our guests had an amazing time.
We also added several extras through Tony, and we are so glad we did. The uplighting completely transformed the reception space and added so much atmosphere. The photo booth was a huge hit with our guests and stayed busy throughout the night. We also had a projector and screen displaying photos of us during the reception, which added such a personal touch to the room and was exactly what we had envisioned.
What impressed us most was how much Tony handled throughout the day while making everything feel effortless. Between the music, ceremony cues, reception timeline, announcements, lighting, photo booth, and projector setup, there were a lot of moving pieces, and he managed all of them beautifully.
Tony was professional, prepared, easy to work with, and genuinely wonderful to have as part of our wedding. He helped create the atmosphere for so many of our favorite moments and kept the celebration going exactly the way we wanted.
We would recommend Tony without hesitation. He is an excellent DJ, a great MC, and someone who truly understands how to read a room and create the right energy for every part of a wedding day. We are so grateful he was part of ours.

Our ceremony was outdoors, and Tony and his team set it up perfectly with seamless microphones, speakers, and the exact music we wanted. Throughout the night, Tony kept us right on schedule and made sure every single detail we wanted was included.
Our reception was absolutely perfect. The sound system was incredible, the lights created an amazing atmosphere, and the dance floor was packed! He was very professional and wanted to make sure we had the best experience. We loved their use of a client portal where we could easily upload songs and work on a timeline. We were also sent emails throughout the wedding planning process of checklists to help keep the planning on track. Our DJ wasn’t Tony, but we enjoyed working with Scott! My only suggestion was we felt some of the songs lingered and we would’ve liked a little more mixing of songs. But overall we would definitely recommend Northern Beat Entertainment!

f my questions and explain the process -- that meant so much to us because in the beginning of wedding planning, we were unsure of what we were doing and Tony made us feel so confident. His online planning tool was great, because we could all collaborate on it together. As we got closer to our big day, we honed in our playlists for the ceremony and reception, and Tony had so much expertise in how to shape each moment to be memorable. For example, right when we kissed and said I do, he played the chorus of our favorite song as we happily walked down the aisle. He was an awesome host for our entire event, emceeing a reception that moved along at a perfect pace, and keeping a playlist that kept everyone on the dance floor! My husband and his family are from Argentina and he played the perfect mix of American and Latino hits. He was so friendly, so personable, and had so many great ideas. We got his ceremony + reception package which I am so thankful for, because everyone at our outdoor ceremony could hear thanks to his awesome sound equipment and microphones. Speaking of audio, his system was able to be utilized by our videographer as well, and as a result our wedding video captured crystal clear sound of our vows and ceremony. At our reception, Tony provided lights which really added a festive ambience. Tony is worldclass. dancer! (That's not to say that my dancing was good, but his music definitely inspired me to dance.) Tony has a really easy-to-use online system to help keep all requested songs/timeline organized, and he also offered a few suggestions. We met with him multiple times - in person, on Zoom, etc - before the wedding, and after each meeting, we always felt confident that he had everything under control. We booked Tony back when he was first starting his DJ business, and it's been so cool to watch his company evolve over the past couple years! We also added the photo booth that he offers, and it was a huge hit all night! He provided a good variety of props and signs for people to take photos with, photo printing was quick, and we got digital copies of all photos taken throughout the night. During wedding season, there was sometimes a long delay in response, but we always got a reply in the end. Thank you Tony, for all of your effort and work put into our wedding, and for sticking with us when we postponed due to COVID! For anyone looking for a DJ/photo booth, I strongly recommend Northern Beat Entertainment!
