Nellie Sparkman Events

ie is your girl!- Nellie was an absolute DREAM to work with from start to finish. I reached out to Nellie about 13 months out from my wedding for her to design all of the stationery we would have ever needed and I could already tell how professional she was going to be just from that! She made our stationery exactly the way we had asked for and she tweaked it multiple times until we were 100% in love with the final result. We met a couple times in person to stay on track with each other before the wedding day and she always came well prepared and gave us her fullest attention to every single detail that needed to be answered. The day of the wedding when I was in la-la land, Nellie was behind the scenes handling everything that we had previously discussed. She has a way of putting herself exactly where she needs to be in every moment of the day- she rallied our wedding party and our wedding guests to make sure everything stayed on schedule. We got raving reviews from our family about how amazing and professional she was. If you are looking for a wedding planner that shows passion and love for this business, someone who treats you like a friend during your most stressful days with no judgement, someone who is constantly supportive, has great ideas and professional- Nellie will be your biggest cheerleader and your best decision! Once a wildcat, always a wildcat. Thank you Nellie!! Love, Rebecca and Zack P.

ff without a hitch and was nothing but fun for us. Nellie also took care of all of our stationery needs, save the dates, invitations, thank you cards, day of stationery, you name it, she did it and did it all so beautifully! She even created a custom monogram for us that we were able to incorporate into the wedding planning process and continue using it! We could not more highly recommend Nellie and her team for any to all of your wedding planning needs, whether it be stationery, or full service planning, they are the best!

feedback like a champ and delivered stunning day of programs, escort cards, an elevator menu and AMAZING cocktail napkins featuring our dog!! We got so so so many compliments on the napkins! Nellie was so awesome and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. <3

as exactly what we wanted. Thank you Nellie and the full team for making our dream wedding a reality.

al day! She was perfect in communicating and helping us plan each step of the day. She handled all the day of organization, getting vendors set up, moving the wedding party to each spot, making sure everything was in order and handling any day of situations! Would highly recommend Nellie for anyones Wedding! She will help turn your vision into a reality!!

We could not have done this without Nellie. My husband and I are both physicians relocating to Kansas City where he grew up to start our practice. Nellie made our planning experience easy and fun. Despite the incredible stress of having our initial May 9th date rescheduled we were able to seamlessly move all of our vendors to our second date and pull off a fun and relaxing day where both of us could focus on our special day with family and friends. Nellie does not miss a single detail. She will be honest with you, gives the best recommendations, and is extremely easy to communicate with. Plus she is such a sweet amazing person and mother running her businesses seamlessly. Additionally, Nellie owns her own stationary company and we used her talents for all of our amazing paper products/stationary (save the dates, wedding invites, signage at the wedding ceremony and reception, programs, etc). If you are looking for the best wedding planner look no further than Nellie!

ies - where everything is perfect and the couple is enjoying every little minute of the day, not a hair is out of place and the weather is perfect, not too hot or cold. I knew I wanted that for my wedding day! The so called “perfect day.” So, when it came time to start planning our wedding day, I knew I needed and wanted a wedding planner. I knew there would be a vast amount of details to handle, I just wanted to enjoy the day to its fullest. I pitched the idea of getting a wedding planner to my fiancé and being the business man he is, he immediately said, “How much will that cost us?” I said it’s not about how much it cost us, it’s about what they can provide and do for us to enjoy our day that we have waited 14 years for. He still wasn’t sold on the idea and thought we could do it on our own. I said, “Let me call my dream wedding planner and just get an idea of how much it would cost and what all that would include for us. So I did and I immediately knew after my first conversation..I HAD to have Nellie. What I myself didn’t know or realize was how much Nellie truly did and would do for us. She became more like a best friend and not someone that was working for us. I looked forward to every time I would see her and we could talk for hours about wedding stuff, life or our current Starbucks obsession. I can’t even put into words what it’s like to feel so nervous to meet someone and expect them to make all your dreams come true. Yet you don’t even know yourself what exactly your vision is besides clips from bridal magazines and Pinterest boards. But I did know for certain we picked the right person. Nellie was professional from the very first meeting and yet by our last, I was hugging her like a best friend or family. It’s almost 3 weeks post wedding and I’m having “Nellie” withdrawals. I wish I could get married every weekend because it truly was the best day of my life. I had never been more calm than I was on my wedding day. That’s all because of Nellie. I knew now matter what happened that day Nellie reminded me earlier in the week that I was marrying my best friend and that’s all I had to worry about. She had all the details in order and no matter what if something didn’t go perfectly has planned I would never know and to this day I’m 100% sure I’ve never lived and enjoyed a day more in my life. My goal was to be present on my wedding day and I know the only reason I could accomplish that and feel that way was because of Nellie. She took all of our ideas to heart, threw some of her own touches in (at our request) and did what she does best. She did an amazing job making our day unforgettable and left people texting and calling me still 3 weeks later asking about the details and who we used. I will be recommending her to any couple that truly wants to have the “best day” of their lives. Her industry knowledge, connections around Kansas City and her pure heart of wanting us/working her hardest to make sure we had everything we dreamed of and more...literally gave us the wedding of our dreams. Nellie was the best thing about our wedding besides us!

day went. Without a doubt, she is the BEST. PLANNER. EVER. Nellie was so wonderful throughout the entire planning process and our families loved her. She eliminated all of my stress the month of the wedding which allowed me to be fully present with my husband on our wedding day. She's professional, down to earth, and gave me so much guidance, she referred great vendors, designed our invitations and day-of stationary (which were beautiful and high quality), not to mention, her organizational skills and attention to detail is exceptional. Our wedding wouldn't have been as beautiful as it was without her. She has impeccable taste and came up with ideas that I never would've thought of, and, it ended up making for a spectacular and stunning reception that our guests still talk about. She made my dream wedding come true!! If you want the wedding of dreams without all of the stress, Nellie is your girl!!

d instantly fell in love with her based on her super sweet personality and the perfection of my sisters day. When it came to my wedding, she made it a priority to make our day the best day of our lives with every detail spot on to how I envisioned it. She truly takes the time to get to know you and your family and makes the small things, important things! She truly is apart of the family now. I am honestly sad that not only the wedding is over, but that our time with Nellie is over! I always looked forward to meetings and the energy and positivity she always has with wedding details. I truly could not have done my wedding without her. You can put 100% trust and faith into her that she will always put you and your dream first. She also created my Save the Dates, Wedding Invitations and Thank You cards and they are PERFECT! I am still getting compliments on how special and classic they are! Endless stars and amazing thoughts for Miss Nellie! We LOVE her so much!

She was the biggest lifesaver during the whole wedding planning process. She was able to make my wedding vision come to life and also was able to think of ideas I would of never thought of. Nellie was such a stress reliever and would always respond to all my emails so quickly and efficiently! She went above and beyond with every thing I needed help with/had questions or concerns about. And when the weather decided to torrentially rain on my wedding day, she was the one running out in the rain so my bridal party and I didn’t get wet... now that’s some pure dedication right there!! I truly could not have made it through wedding planning without her! I would 1000% recommend Nellie time and time again to anyone!

ther wedding vendors. She listened to every crazy idea we threw at her and turned them into reality, all while being incredibly mindful of our budget. She even did our Save the Dates, Wedding Invites and Thank you Note stationary! Nellie and her team seamlessly put on the most perfect wedding day with professionalism and ease. No matter your budget or where you are in the planning process Nellie Sparkman Events is worth every penny to help you enjoy every moment of your big day!!!

yond to make sure everything, big to small, was perfect. Her list of vendors, her knowledge, and her experience are unbelievable. She is so easy to talk to and to be around and it was almost like she knew what I was thinking before I even said it. She created the most stress-free day & wedding environment. Not only is Nellie amazing, but so is her team. They are a true reflection of her! I know without a doubt that our wedding day would not have been as perfect as it was without Nellie and her team by our side! I can't think her enough :) If you need a wedding planner, Nellie Sparkman is your girl!!

taking care of everything on our wedding day (and leading up to it), I am not sure how her or her team gets it all done. But it happens. Nellie was 8.5 months pregnant during our wedding and was still there, with her full team making sure our big day was perfect. You cannot ask for that level of commitment, but that is what you get when you ask Nellie to plan your wedding. From day one of our planning process, Nellie listed the To-Do's and outlined the whole process in a way that even I could understand how much work was needed to pull off a large wedding. However, once Nellie got to working, none of it seemed like work at all. She and her team are a national treasure and you would be making the best decision of the wedding planning process to hire her to help. I don't know how we would of done it without her. Truly a best in class wedding planner.

s. The second thing my mom said to me after I got engaged was "get a wedding planner", so that's what we did. It was the most pivotal and important decision we made. Nellie has relationships with vendors throughout the KC area and made it clear she was serving our best interest when she made recommendations. Her ability to convey our vision to our vendors was amazing. Ideas and requests that we couldn't even put into words were executed to perfection thanks to Nellie. The cadence of communication was great, her empathy for a stressed-out couple was so appreciated, and the level of how much she cared made it feel like she was actually a part of our family. At one of our meetings, she took extra time to run through decisions we'd already made with my mom just to settle her worry. If you want to feel like you're cared for, listened to, important, and taken seriously, you have to have Nellie. I think back to my day and wouldn't change hardly a thing because Nellie got it right the first time. One last thing, she coordinated our day - everything - while 9 months pregnant. If that's not an extraordinary amount of dedication, I don't know what is.

iquette, etc. She is delightful to work with as well as her staff. She made it happen. So glad I stumbled upon her, bet decision I ever made!!!!

lped me plan my wedding. She also helped with my invitations and day of prints and signage. If she hadn't, it would not have been such a success. I was blown away by her organization, her knowledge of the industry, her connections and her overall understanding of what it takes to pull off an amazing event with every detail in place. Every question I had, she had an answer for. Every suggestion I needed, she had someone in mind. Every worry I had she set at ease. When it came to the day of coordination, I could not believe how well everything was taken care of. She was taking care of things behind the scenes that you couldn't even imagine you would have to handle. Because of Nellie, I was able to relax on my wedding day and not have to work at all. I had complete confidence in her the entire time and she did not let me down. My husband is a harsh judge of work ethic and he was blown away by Nellie. The woman is impressive. The stress of a wedding can really get the best of a bride. Without Nellie, I don't think I could have made it through. She is such a kind person. I will be forever grateful for her and never forget what she did for me. When planning your budget, she is the BEST money you will spend. Trust me she worth 10 times more. Hiring Nellie is one of the best decisions I have ever made.

into practical, beautiful reality, and helped keep me organized throughout the process. I cannot say ENOUGH about the day of my wedding- everything ran smoothly and I was never stressed. A few things (apparently) went awry, but I never knew because Nellie and her team made sure everything was PERFECT. She kept me happy and calm...and even sewed a groomsman's pants who split before the ceremony! I mean, come on! Nellie teared up when I was walking down the aisle and I could truly see how much she loves her job and how much she cares about her brides and the whole process. It was truly the best day of our lives and we could not have been happier with Nellie- 10/10 would recommend.

help! Throughout the planning process Nellie was organized, resourceful, and attentive. She is full of great ideas and has a myriad of vendor contacts around the city. She and her team had everything covered the day of so I didn't have to worry about a thing. I am SO grateful for her phenomenal service!

was easily available whenever I needed to talk to her, had great communication and was very timely. She and her team worked so hard to make our day incredible. I have and will continue to recommend Nellie Sparkman Events to all!

& cards and gift signs). She was creative, quick to respond & a pleasure to work with! We were SO happy with all of our stationary!

rganized and on top of it gal that can handle making phone calls, arranging vendors etc. Turns out planning a wedding is A LOT of work ;) and a whole lot more than phonecalls and a really good checklist. Nellie was all of these things and then some. She went entirely above and beyond being just a coordinator. Nellie not only single handedly helped me in designing beautiful and simple stationary all facets of the wedding, but from day one became my right hand gal. When I didn’t know something (literally, so many things) she was right there promptly and willingly to reassure me or answer any and all questions I had. She prepared a timeline well in advance with me and shared with all vendors while continuing to keep it up to date as things changed (as they do!) From the countless chats over coffee, vision boards, a million questions and texts, back and forth emails and edits, Nellie made sure our day was as amazing and easy as we had hoped, and just how I had envisioned it in my head. We were able to enjoy every minute thanks to Nellie and her fabulous team. I couldn’t have asked for a better planner, friend, designer, and coordinator. We love you, Nel! Jess & Jordan

e, you do! Can’t imagine doing it without Nellie! We also used Nellie for all of Olivia’s Save the Dates, wedding invitations, programs and more. They all were beautiful!! Thank you Nellie, again for all you did to help make Olivia’s wedding day so very special. I can’t believe it’s been almost a year!

onnected and a down right JOY to work with! Not to mention her graphic design and monogramming skills are through the roof! She became more than just a wedding planner throughout the entire process not only to me but to my family as well. I can’t recommend Nellie and her services enough! From planning, to timelines, to vendor coordination, to personalized monogram design, to song mashups, to designing and creating save the dates to wedding invitations and every other paper detail in between, you will truly walk away with the most personalized experience. She makes your day and your vision unique to you and your soon to be spouses style all while making the process fun and enjoyable! Nellie becomes a true friend and you will walk away from your day feeling stress free and extremely thankful that you hired Nellie!

ner, you should! And it should be Nellie! She went above and beyond to make sure the entire weekend went as seamless as possible and it did! There are so many little things that go on the day of your wedding that you don’t think about and good thing we had Nellie to not only make us aware of all those details but also execute them all perfectly while you’re getting ready for your big day! Could not recommend Nellie more!!

becomes a reality. Along the way we learned that Nellie comes highly recommended, is very well known, and highly respected within the wedding world in Kansas City (I'm sure in other states too). People love to work with her and her team. Nellie and her team were very professional the night of and made our wedding day seamless. Investing in Nellie will be the best choice you make in your wedding process, trust me. We loved her so much that she was booked to plan my sister’s wedding even before my wedding day. Nellie ensures that she takes on the stress of wedding planning so that you can enjoy the process.

ree. She took everything (chargers, signs, table numbers, etc) to the venue for us the week of and we did not have to worry about anything. She communicated with all the vendors and made sure everyone knew when to be where. My sister got married 9 months earlier and my mom was running around doing little things the entire wedding day and I did not want my mom to have to do that at my wedding. A coordinator may seem like an easy thing to cut when budgeting for a wedding but you will 100% regret not having her on your special day! I can't say enough great things about Nellie and her team! I am so so happy we chose her as our coordinator! :)

d! I would recommend her to everyone!

all of my expectations were exceeded x a million. My jaw dropped when I saw my invitations. I would 100% recommend Nellie to any bride. Nellie was able to take my vague directions and create a beautiful masterpiece... I cannot thank her enough!!

) and Nellie was more than accommodating to make sure our day went off without a hitch. All of our invitations, programs, seating chart, welcome notes, and menus were all done by Nellie and looked STUNNING! I received so many compliments on them. As someone who gets overwhelmed being the center of attention and being assertive with others, Nellie made sure that everyone was where they needed to be and everything was running on a smooth timeline. She is a wonderful person and so passionate about the work that she does. I could not recommend her more!!!! :)

redible organizational skills, constantly calming presence, and attention to detail! I was the first one in my family to get married and I live in Chicago, so to say we were a little stressed out to be planning an out of town wedding was an understatement! We had no idea where to start, what to do, who to contact, who the “good” vendors were, how to plan a budget, or how to personalize the day for us. Within 10 minutes of talking to Nellie she completely understood what we needed and all those worries went away. Nellie was there with us every single step of the way and far exceeded our expectations! Not only did we spend countless hours on the phone but every time I came in town Nellie made it a point to meet with me and get as much of the planning done as possible. She always made me feel like I was her number one priority! She even met with my dad and talked to him over the phone on several occasions when he wanted to be involved in the planning process! :) Not only did Nellie’s planning skills amaze us but her creativity and eye for making the day special to us is something we will always be grateful for! Nellie custom designed a BEAUTIFUL floral shield monogram for us which she helped us incorporate into our invitations, programs, menus, koozies, seating charts, cotton candy tags, and welcome letters. Everyone at our wedding couldn’t stop talking about how flawlessly everything was tied together and how beautiful it was! I even had two friends tell me they liked it better than their own weddings! I honestly can’t say enough good things about Nellie Sparkman Events. My mom calls her our “wedding angel” and I couldn’t agree more! As my new husband and I look back on the day we know NONE of it would have been possible without Nellie. We will be forever grateful to her and her amazing team! THANK YOU NELLIE!

culous attention to detail, to her ability to listen and execute the "dream", Nellie brought the calm we all so needed. Thank you, Nellie!

n and was happy to give her opinion when I asked for it. She made my pet peeves hers, ensuring that all details that were important to me were important to her–executing them flawlessly. Even as last minute changes came up, she was able to quickly adapt and provide solutions. I could not have asked for a better wedding planner.

n our wedding, but she also designed our save the dates, wedding invites, shower invitations, and etc. We didn't have one worry on our wedding day and we were able to enjoy our day and spend time with our guests while she handled all of the small stuff. We have recommended her to anyone who asks, and even to who aren't even engaged. 🙂 We hope you choose her!

l. She doesn't just help you plan and execute your wedding, but she fixes things when the go wrong. No one thinks about bringing a fan to put under your dress... Nellie does! Everyone needs a Nellie!

l the vendors, to making sure no detail is missed- she was there. We also used Nellie to design and print our save the dates, invitations, place cards, and programs and she did an AMAZING job. I shared a couple ideas with her of what style I liked and she took it and ran with it. We had nothing to stress about on the day of the wedding because we knew Nellie had it all taken care of. I can't imagine how our day would have gone without her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

mere days before the big day) and was just an overall joy to work with and be around. From the moment I met with her, I knew she was (the other one) for me ;-) I felt completely at peace on the big day and was able to relax with my bridal party and just soak in everything that was about to happen, all while Nellie handled vendor arrivals, set-up, timeline, etc. I will be recommending Nellie and her team to EVERY bride I come in contact with, as I truly believe she contributed to our wedding being such a success! THANK YOU NELLIE! I appreciate you more than you will ever know <3

o. She is someone who is easy to talk to and incredible at communication/organization. She will never make you feel silly or stupid for asking questions, even if you e-mail her multiple times a day. She also took care of all of our wedding prints (menus, programs, etc.) and they were absolutely beautiful! We got so many compliments on them! She far exceeded my expectations and I couldn't have been any happier having Nellie in control of our wedding weekend! Book her now!!! :)

ading up to my wedding, there were so many things I was behind on. Nellie sat down with me and not only took on all of those things, but also took on many items I hadn’t even thought of (i.e. bar signage, wedding programs, welcome table, and social media design such as a snap chat filter and hashtag). On our wedding day, I knew I had absolutely nothing to stress about because Nellie and her team were on it. Every little detail, every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for a better planner, and am so grateful that we picked Nellie to help us throughout our wedding planning. I would recommend Nellie and her team to absolutely anyone!

whole process. The best part was the day of and not having to be pulled so many different places. Nellie was able to talk to all of the vendors and made sure everything ran smooth. Nellie also made our invites, programs, save the dates, and seating chart. We LOVED them!!!

with our other vendors to make it a reality. Our day went off perfectly (if there were problems, she handled them without burdening me with them!) and I know I have Nellie to thank for that. I can't recommend her enough!

is responsive, organized, professional and so friendly. She helped me stay organized and provided guidance throughout the whole process. I had so many emotions leading up to our big day but stress was not one of them, I knew our big day was in great hands. Nellie made sure our day went as smooth as possible and was always right there when I needed her. The men forgot to bring their boutonnieres with them to pictures, Nellie ran them to us. My sisters dress broke and Nellie was right there to fix. She took care of every problem I knew about and I'm sure more. I can't say enough wonderful things about Nellie. I am so thankful we chose her to execute our day, it was everything I imagined and more.

to us, giving us emotional support and advice when needed. During my engagement season I was online looking for a wedding planner and came across Nellie's work. I really liked her style so I gave her a call and set up a meeting. My fiancé and I were SO impressed right away. Within ten minutes of leaving the meeting, Nellie had already contacted the wedding venue we loved and had set up an appointment with them. We knew she was the one we were going to be working with for the biggest day of our lives. We trusted her. My husband and I knew planning a wedding would be a lot of work but we didn't realize the magnitude of it until we started looking into all the details. Fortunately, we had Nellie by our side every step to help us with finding the perfect venue, decor, cake, entertainment and so much more! We had the BEST team working for us and so many of our guests complimented us saying it was the best wedding they've been to and I couldn't agree more! The day of the wedding was just flawless and Nellie made sure everything was perfect. She was always very prompt with emails/texts and if there were things we forgot about, she was always 10 steps ahead of us. She's very detail oriented and will go out of her way to make your vision come to life. I honestly don't know what we would've done without Nellie. She is an absolute gem! We highly highly recommend her!

ne to be there the day of our wedding to help make the day run smooth and seamless...Events By Nellie made that happen! Nellie and one of her lead coordinators, Becky, did a great job of contacting me a month before the wedding to organize and coordinate every last detail! The day was absolutely perfect and I attribute a lot of that to Nellie and her team. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator who is passionate, kind and can get any task done I would recommend Events By Nellie.
