The food is wonderful, and the pricing for everything they provide is so reasonable it surprised my guests when discussing it at how affordable everything was! Nestled in Grand Rapids, OH, Nazareth Hall offers their historic setting as a one-of-a-kind wedding venue for couples. First built in 1927, this estate has been carefully restored over the years to celebrate its humble beginnings. It features 37 acres of picturesque land, with rolling hills, flourishing trees, and lush lawn areas adding to the scenery’s natural beauty. You will have a variety of event spaces to choose from, ranging from a rustic, traditional chapel to an intricately detailed, sophisticated ballroom.
Family-owned and operated, Nazareth Hall is dedicated to providing soon-to-be-weds a romantic atmosphere to create new memories with their loved ones. Its selection of indoor and outdoor spaces can accommodate an array of event sizes, from intimate elopements to receptions with up to 300 attendees. Your ceremony can take place in the down-to-earth, nondenominational chapel, which features stained-glass windows and vintage chandelier lighting for a warm, welcoming aesthetic. If you prefer to exchange your vows among Mother Nature, The Grotto offers a breathtaking backdrop and secluded, tranquil setting in a wooded grove. The grotto itself was first constructed in the 1920s, using coral formations from the Mediterranean Sea, and makes for an eye-catching place for your altar. After your ceremony concludes, you and your guests can move to one of the three onsite ballrooms for your reception. The versatile Ladyglen Ballroom allows your guests to mingle on both the main floor and mezzanine floor, while still having plenty of space to dance. For old-school elegance, The Cadet West Ballroom features marbled columns, brass chandeliers, and large detailed windows for plenty of natural light. Couples that prefer a more minimalist setting can use the Gabriel Ballroom, which has an open floor plan to create any nuptial theme. The Riverview Library is also available for rehearsal dinners, showers, and other pre-wedding events with up to 55 guests.
The team at Nazareth Hall will handle event set-up and tear-down, giving you plenty of time to spend with your friends and family. Full service catering is available in-house, with fully customizable menus to satisfy your unique palate. Onsite accommodations are also available, to ensure that you and your entourage have a relaxing wedding weekend.

- Abby HenleyLead Venue CoordinatorAbby moved from Oberlin, Ohio, to pursue a degree in Event Planning at Bowling Green State University. Since graduating in 2016, she has built a career as the Lead Venue Coordinator at Nazareth Hall, where she discovered her passion for crafting unforgettable celebrations. In addition to working closely with clients to plan and organize their events, Abby takes on a leadership role at the Hall, overseeing office operations and guiding the coordinator team. She develops marketing strategies, collaborates on remodeling plans for the Hall, and fosters relationships with vendors through outreach. Abby also leads the planning of our large-scale events, including the annual Bridal House and Adult Prom!
- Sophie SchroederVenue CoordinatorLocal to the Toledo area, Sophie studied Event Management at Bowling Green State University and began her career at Nazareth Hall in 2018. After years of being a dedicated Hostess and night manager, Sophie was promoted as a Venue Coordinator in the Spring of 2024. If there's a job to be done at Nazareth Hall, odds are she has done it! The passion she has for the wedding industry is apparent in her work. Along with assisting couples, Sophie is the social media expert at Nazareth Hall. She is a jack-of-all-trades who is willing to go above and beyond for her couples. She is the person to turn to for a difficult bustle or when the perfect playlist is needed!

Throughout her years working within the hospitality industry, Maddison discovered her love for all-things planning. She began her career at Nazareth Hall in 2021 and says that it has been the best decision of her life. Maddison's favorite part of her job is building solid relationships with her clients and seeing their vision through from start to finish. In addition to helping her couples, Maddison also helps with the organization and administration in the office, plans our annual Brunches, and keeps the rest of the coordinators sane with her calming presence.

His culinary journey began at a young age, fueled by a lifelong passion for cooking that led him to study under several esteemed chefs in Northwest Ohio. Our coordinator, Sophie, was amazing and provided us with so much information, helped us through every step of the way, and answered emails so efficiently and quickly! We never had an issue with communication! Nazareth Hall is so accommodating to your vision and needs for you and your guests! We did not know how important it was to have a hostess for our wedding until the reception started! Caroline helped keep us on schedule, came out with hors deuvres for us when we were taking photos, provided us with drinks throughout the night, and helped make sure everyone was at certain locations for photos when needed! Nothing could have ran smoother that day thanks to Nazareth Hall!

Maddison would answer all my questions with a can-do attitude and anything she couldn’t do, she’d direct me to who could. She made recommendations, spent hours in planning meetings, and executed to make my dream wedding a reality. It was such a pleasure to work with her and I am so beyond thankful for all she did to make our wedding day seem perfect. Our wedding was in the Ladyglen Ballroom and not only do the new renovations look STUNNING, but our guests were comfortable and had many compliments throughout the night. Our decor looked incredible and the set-up crew did such a phenomenal job organizing our personal decor along with the venue’s. They made the morning so stress free and hands off! Also, the food was INCREDIBLE. We had bacon wrapped shrimp, spring rolls, charcuterie, and a fan favorite - chicken and waffles as our apps. Our meal was mac’n cheese, BBQ chicken, prime rib, and buttered broccoli. It was all delicious and so thoughtfully placed/distributed. The bar staff were friendly, and serviced all of our guests in a timely manner. Our day of coordinator was Megan. Megan couldn’t have been sweeter and more helpful to my husband and I on our wedding day. It was almost like she could read our minds because whenever either of us wanted a water she’d magically appear holding one. She kept us on time and made sure all of our needs were met throughout the night. She couldn’t have been better to work with! If we could, we would do a wedding at Nazareth all over again.

I worked with every coordinator on the team and every single one of them answered all my silly questions and helped guide us as we planned from almost 300+ miles away. They were able to accommodate us with a private tasting since we are only in town 1x a year, and then never hesitated to answer the phone when I called. We knew the food was good, and our guests confirmed it. There were 2 other weddings at the same time as ours, almost 200 people in the building, and you would have never know it.
This team is incredible. Matty was our day of coordinator and she was always there when I needed her, made sure we were fed and had everything we needed on our wedding day. This team goes above and beyond, literally giving up the pants on their legs for us.
I would recommend this venue to any and every one I come in contact with.
We will even continue to stop in and say hello when we're coming through town.

the Naz Hall team were so sweet and caring. They genuinely want to make your day special, and keep you on track during the big moments. We hid tiny little dragons around the ballroom for guests to find during the reception, and we were so happy the staff was having fun finding them, too. We were scheduled to have our ceremony in the grotto, but due to snow, had to relocate to the chapel, and it was equally if not more beautiful. No matter where you have your ceremony, it will be gorgeous. We also loved that as long as a ballroom or area is not in use for another event, you are able to utilize it for your pictures, so even though we didn't have our ceremony outside, we were able to get pictures there with our photographer. The food was top tier and our guests were so impressed and inspired. We are so happy we chose Nazareth Hall for this special day and will hype them up anytime we get the chance. They did have two weddings that day so having an event coordinator who could speak with the other coordinator was a huge bonus. Also the food- to die for! It was soooo good and was definitely a favorite for my guests. Not to mention the views! Nazareth has so many spots inside and outside that make the most beautiful wedding photos! my list for a couple of reasons. It's a gorgeous historical building and so many services needed to planning a great wedding are in-house: food, bar, ceremony space, reception space, bridal suite and groom's lounge. I used to work in weddings for a florist in town and had done plenty of weddings at Nazareth Hall, and I knew from a vendor's perspective how smooth everything ran behind the scenes. This gave me peace of mind that the entire day would be free of stress and I could just trust in the expertise of Abby and our hostess. I've also been to many weddings as a guest and had only amazing times, great food, and wonderful memories. I can't recommend it enough. As a bride with a very loose vision of what I wanted my wedding to look like, somehow Abby helped my husband and I come up with our perfect day, true to us, simple but elegant, and just all around exactly what we wanted!

Their staff works so hard providing a clean and beautiful space, and our guests have not stopped talking about how great our wedding was. The food, the drinks, the wait staff, the bartenders, our hostess, etc. exceeded our expectations! I literally don’t have one complaint. People always prepare you for things to go wrong on your wedding day, but I can’t think of one thing that did! If I could choose this wedding venue again, I absolutely would. There’s so many “what ifs” that brides/grooms think about when planning a wedding, but you won’t have to worry about a thing when you book this venue. The staff is so dependable, and quick with responses for any questions you may have and they are very accommodating. They truly brought our vision to life. I remember arriving to the venue and looking at our reception space in awe of how amazing it looked. We had our ceremony in the grotto, and our reception in the Lady Glen ballroom. Both spaces were absolutely beautiful. There is also endless places to take beautiful pictures at this venue. We seriously can’t thank the Naz Hall staff enough and we are truly so happy we choose this venue for our wedding day. It was perfect! I didn't think a day of coordinator would make such a difference, boy was I wrong. She kept things moving and stress free. She saw I was getting stressed and overheated at one point, I immediately had water and something to fan myself with. I would recommend Nazareth to anyone. They have open house events throughout the year where you get to meet trusted vendors, which helped us with DJ and florist choices so much!! Any questions I emailed were answered so quick, and if our coordinator was out of office, someone else would answer us. We always felt in the loop of things, which is how it should be.

It’s in such a good area too with lots of parking, shuttle golf cart service for guests who need it and a day of wedding coordinator that arrives and is with you the entire evening to help you. From the moment we booked with Nazareth, our coordinator Abby was so communicative with helpful tips, their wedding binder that all couples receive, and super responsive to all emails and calls. I had no stress when it came to anything that had to do with the venue because I know they had it handled.
The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect from the start to the end of the night. Every single staff member was on top of it and we got so many compliments on the food, drinks, waitstaff, etc. from our guests. Sophie was the best hostess making sure we were taken care of and happy the entire night.
I truly believe our wedding was a success because of Nazareth! So if you're looking for a stress-free, all-inclusive venue, this is the place to book!

ver a year to plan the perfect wedding. The venue, food, and professionalism of the staff were great! Bella was so detail-oriented, which I needed as a Type A bride, and helped answer every question we had. She was so patient in helping us plan and giving us advice on exactly what we were looking for. Our day would not have been possible without all her help. Regarding the venue, the all-inclusive style venue was exactly what we needed! The building was breathtaking, giving us space for both our ceremony and reception, with plenty of parking for our guests. We also utilized their bridal suite and groom suite to get ready, which was perfect for our vendors to use to help us with our day. There was so much space in the rooms for us to spread out and efficiently get done with what we needed to. Our guests could not stop raving about the beautiful building and the food. The food that Nazareth Hall provides is delicious, easily the best wedding food we have had. Our guests are still talking about how great the food was! On top of that, they did a great job accommodating food allergies, including the bride’s food allergy. The bar was also super practical for what we needed by providing bar tenders and being able to customize our package to what our guests and I would prefer, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We also had the opportunity to rent the guest house on-site, which was convenient for our family and allowed us to have plenty of space to have a “home base.” I could not recommend this place more if you want a perfect, stress-free wedding day.

helpful in answering my million emails, giving us advice when needed, and giving suggestions for different requests we had. She is so kind and truly was there to make sure we had the best day possible. From the first meeting to the last meeting to the wedding day, my expectations were blown out of the water. The venue is beautiful and the tour they give you shows each little space and how it's been used in the past or what it's possibilities could be. We opted to have my bridesmaids and I stay on property the night of the rehearsal dinner and cannot recommend that enough. The place was clean, 20 feet from where we'd be getting ready, and had great accommodations. For the day of, we chose to have our ceremony in the chapel and cocktail hour/reception in the Cadet West Ballroom. The evening was romantic and classic, which was exactly what I wanted. The food all day was to die for - if you're getting ready on property (highly recommend) you HAVE to get the beignet breakfast platter. Our day of Hostess, Caroline, was incredible. She catered to us from the first moments of our rehearsal dinner to sending us off with warm wishes. I cannot recommend her enough because I know she's a big reason why the day was so successful. Our wedding at Nazareth Hall was better than I ever expected my wedding to be and my husband and I are so grateful to everyone at Nazareth for making our dream a reality.

Very communicative about every step we needed to make, clear about the pricing, and great to bounce ideas off of. Chef Eric worked with our dietary restriction and turned out such an incredible meal, people were talking about it all night! And our day of coordinator, Carol, was the best in the business. She was on top of every minute detail. Making sure our wedding operated like a well oiled machine. The team they have at Nazareth is outstanding. They take so much of the stress off of the actual day. A well placed investment in making the day as special as it can be.

I even remember something came up for the final planning meeting, but they communicated once aware and coordinator Abby was still able to accommodate for us. I was so appreciative! Bella was also just so sweet and friendly, and her attention to detail made me and my family feel so assured and confident. The same goes for our day of hostess, Emma. She was such a sweetheart and was there for my husband and I for all of our needs for the day. The bar staff was wonderful and fun, and oh my lord the FOOD😍😍😍 I still have guests telling us how amazing the plates and appetizers were - and our wedding was in October!! So delicious - shoutout to the kitchen staff!

First off, I want to highlight the staff. From start to finish, the staff (M...
addison N especially) helped us through each step of the way, they go over things you might forget and they are also just there for support. They answered all of my random questions in a very timely manor and if anything was amiss they corrected it immediately. During the wedding the coordinator (Madds) and bartenders/servers were absolutely lovely my friends and family had nothing but glowing remarks for all of them.
Second, the venue itself. The grounds are well taken care of, you never have to worry about a mess, they cleaned up the leaves around the Grotto for our ceremony, the shuttle was a lovely addition to help our guests get to and from our ceremony and GD its just gorgeous! I could not have asked for better weather on my wedding day and I think it was all because of the Nazareth Hall magic.
Third, the food and drinks. Oh, the food is just delicious. It was beautifully prepared and once again, I heard nothing but great remarks on the food from guests. The drinks were also amazing. We decided last minute to add signature cocktails (Old fashioned for the groom and Butter Beer for the bride) and it really added some more whimsical-ness to our enchanted forest themed wedding.
All in all, I had the most wonderful day with my favorite guy and got to share this special moment with the folks at Nazareth Hall. If I were to get married again (which I don't plan to lol) I would get married at Nazareth Hall again. Thank you guys so much for everything!

There was never a time that I felt stressed during our wedding planning because our coordinator at Nazareth helped us through each step! She always ensured that we had specific things booked by certain times in our planning. The amazing staff didn’t end with our wedding planner/coordinator, the waitstaff and day of coordinator were also amazing! I never felt like I was forced to pay for things we didn’t need and the food was amazing! Nazareth Hall is 1000% the best wedding venue in the area! We have had nothing but positive experiences here!

Our event coordinator, Abby, was absolutely incredible and is so easy and fun to work with. She answered all of our questions quickly and helped guide us through some of the tough decision making, and later on Madison who helped us figure out the crazy last minute details. Finally, our wedding hostess, Caroline, was our saving grace. From keeping us on schedule throughout the day to fixing my falling out hair and more, she really helped the day run smoother and we don’t have enough words to thank her.
You can clearly see that the employees at Nazareth have a true passion and talent for their jobs. We’re so glad we picked Nazareth Hall as our venue and can’t wait to recommend it to our future engaged friends!

Myself and family/bridesmaids couldn’t have pictured not staying there the night before and it gave us so much room and comfort getting ready there.
