Where to begin?!
Firstly, Caroline is so kind, funny, and authentic. For both our engagement and wedding photos she always made us feel so comfortable (even though we both really ...
dislike having photos taken and don't always feel as though we are the most photogenic!) She has such a creative eye for composition and variety. We never felt like we were looking at too many close-up portraits or not getting enough with full-body or landscape/scenery. She may ask you to do some wacky stuff. Do it. Trust her. The pictures will be worth it a million times over!
For our engagements photos, Caroline even drove a little over an hour to take them at a park in the city we first met in. And for our wedding photos, she came to our home and was even willing to adjust our schedule/invoice when we had to downsize our wedding due to COVID and didn't need her services for as much of the day as we had originally planned. I was VERY anxious the day of our wedding and Caroline was easily able to help me feel more at ease, even acting as sort of a stand-in bridesmaid at times for me when I didn't have any. She had tips and tricks for pinning boutonnieres and wrapping my bouquet, and a tide-to-go wipe when a flower from my bouquet stained my dress!!
Overall, Caroline is not only a great photographer, who is punctual, responsive, and great at her job, but a WONDERFUL person. She is willing to help in any way she can to make sure you are comfortable and that your day will be the best day ever (whether its engagement or wedding!). We certainly hope to continue working with Caroline as long as we are able to for other events in the future :) I will mention Caroline's name to anyone I come across who needs a photographer for any occasion.
We could not be happier with Native Light's wedding photography! The incredible photos speak for themselves, but Caroline's kindness makes it worth writing a review. Caroline was t...
alented, professional, efficient and such a joy to be around throughout the whole process. We were pretty nervous while we were taking our engagement photos (camera shy, anyone?), but Caroline led us through them with so much laughter.
On the day of the wedding, Caroline met me and my bridal party at an Airbnb about 30 minutes away from the venue and still managed to make it to the venue and capture all of the guys' photos prior to the first look. The first look brought so many tears that my fake eyelashes started falling off (kinda funny, kinda disastrous), but without skipping a beat Caroline sent her second shooter to her apartment to grab some eyelash glue prior to the ceremony. Clearly not the role of a photographer, but I am forever grateful for this gesture!
The photos after the ceremony were super efficient without sacrificing any of the personal moments. We have a wide array of photos from our wedding day, which we cherish. Caroline captured all of the emotions we felt. We look at the photos frequently and we are immediately taken back to each moment. I can say with full confidence that you will not be disappointed with Native Light.
Our experience with Native Light Photography and Caroline was so wonderful and our engagement and wedding photography was so thoughtfully captured.
We would encourage you to also ...
book Native Light for your engagement photos. If you're like us, being photographed by a stranger can be awkward but the engagement session gave us a chance to get comfortable with Caroline (and gave us awesome pictures). And come wedding day Caroline felt like like just another familiar face there to celebrate with us.
For our wedding day, we wanted someone who would actually listen to what we wanted and Caroline does just that and uses her skills and energy to make your vision even better. We are so happy with our wedding photography.
One last thing: wedding vendors can sometimes be slow to respond to questions/inquiries but we found Caroline to be incredibly prompt and professional. This matters!
I'm seriously OBSESSED with Caroline and her incredible talent. We hired Caroline after finding her on the Knot and after the first time we met her in person we were convinced she ...
was the person we wanted to share our wedding day with us (If you meet her you will see how warm and fun she is). Although we hadn't planned on it, Caroline convinced us to do engagement photos (they came with our package as a way to work together before the wedding) and the experience was truly amazing - we hiked in Hocking Hills and took photos that felt like "us" and didn't feel forced or cheesy. Her use of natural light is truly amazing. On our wedding day, Caroline and her team were around when we wanted them and faded into the background at all the right moments. They captured everything we dreamed of and made us look our best. I would hire her all over again if I could. She totally got our style and killed it!
Caroline and her team were down to earth and made the picture process easy and fun. Always easy to contact throughout the process and our final pictures look amazing!
I genuinely cannot say enough wonderful things about Caroline and her assistants at Native Light Photography. Caroline did both our engagement and wedding photos, all of which turn...
ed out beautifully. Neither my husband nor I consider ourselves particularly photogenic, but in Caroline's photos you would never know that. She captured us (and our guests) in such a candid and natural way, without making anyone uncomfortable or nervous. The photos are truly stunning.
Even more, Caroline and her team were so discrete. She weaved in and around the ceremony like a ghost--I literally forgot she was there, she was so good at keeping a low profile when catching special moments.
Caroline was just fun and easy to work with and we got an amazing product from her in the end. She was so sweet and went above and beyond her job as a photographer (she went so far as to grab the top layer of our cake and take it home to freeze for us when she noticed that my husband and I forgot it at the wedding venue--I mean, com'mon, what other wedding vendor is that considerate!) I could go on and on, but really it suffices to say that Caroline was worth every single penny we paid her and so much more. Highly, HIGHLY recommend.
My husband and I wanted a photographer that we felt comfortable with, and who would capture the essence of our happiness on the wedding day, and we truly found that with Caroline! ...
She was happy to accompany us to our venue walk through so that she could get fully prepared for the wedding day. Caroline had creative ideas about taking pictures, and made sure to listen fully to what we wanted and to fill in the gaps because we aren't photographers ourselves! On the wedding day, she and her second shooter were present, but not distracting to the ceremony or reception, and we were so thankful that they had the foresight to capture moments that were a blur to us because the day was so busy! We are so happy and satisfied with our pictures, and we got them back so quickly! Caroline is passionate about her work, and is dedicated to creating the best possible experience and product to her customers. So happy with our treasured pictures that capture the memory of the most special day of our lives!
My wife and I felt like from day one that Caroline was worth at least double what she was charging. We already could tell that she had an eye for capturing beautiful, emotional pho...
tos from her website, but then it was crazy getting our photos back and seeing our faces in the photos. Not only that, but we had to remind ourselves that she didn't even have a second shooter! The ceremony happens only once, yet when the bride came down the aisle we had photos of the bride (obviously), my reactions, our parents reactions, and even some of the bridal party's reactions. She has truly encapsulated the memory of that moment forever. I would never recommend anyone else after seeing how great Caroline is to work with! Also I should mention, she's a blast.
