Nathan and Kameryn are the absolute best! We truly couldn’t have asked for better photographers for our wedding day! From the moment they arrived, they brought such warmth and kind...
ness with them, it felt like we’d known them forever. Nathan's infectious smile put everyone at ease and made everyone feel like family right away.
Not only are they incredibly talented behind the lens, but their genuine energy and joyful presence added something really special to our day. They captured every emotion, every little candid moment, and every big celebration with such care and creativity.
Nathan was also such an amazing professional he made me feel so prepared for the day with his detailed schedule and we knew exactly what we were doing throughout the whole day. He truly is there for you throughout the day and him and Kameryn have the best communication that helps everyone on the wedding day!
Our photos are absolutely stunning, but what we’ll remember just as much is how wonderful they made us and everyone around us feel. Thank you for being such a beautiful part of our wedding it truly was the most magical day!
Nate is absolutely extraordinary. In addition to being warm, easy to work with, highly communicative, and professional, his artistry has left us speechless.

y came not even 24 hours after our wedding and we were blown away (as was everyone who had seen the photos).
Nate captured our wedding day and did an adventure session with us on skis! The experience was one of the greatest moments of our life together.
The photos speak for themselves. Can’t wait to see the full gallery when it is ready.
Thank you, Nate! We are grateful beyond words.
After choosing to have an intimate elopement instead of a wedding, Nate was the best decision we made in our whole wedding planning process. There are two places in this world that...
feel like home to me, next to my husband and in the mountains. Nate was able to capture my love for both in his beautiful photos. My husband and I love going on adventures in the outdoors together, and our elopement in the Swiss Alps was our biggest one yet. We are both such awkward and camera shy people, but Nate made us feel so comfortable we didn’t mind being in front of the camera one bit. It really felt like we were traveling with a friend during our three day adventure. Despite just landing and being jet-lagged, Nate moved our elopement up a day because of the rain forecasted for our original ceremony date. He somehow managed to radiate energy throughout the whole day well before sunrise and after sunset. Nate carried all of our stuff and ran up and down mountains just to get us the best photos possible. Although I love nature, I also have asthma which unfortunately means I move slower than most during hikes. Nate was extremely patient with us whenever I needed to take a break and catch my breath. He’s truly such an incredible person all around, and we are just so blessed we got to know him and share some of the most special days of our lives with him.
My husband also ended up hiring him for his surprise engagement photos, since we started wedding planning before his official proposal. We were seriously in awe of how gorgeous and unique all of the photos from both our engagement and elopement turned out. I was worried about how I’d look with all of the hiking we were doing, but Nate made us look SO freaking good, I can’t even begin to describe how many compliments we’ve gotten from friends and family on our photos. He managed to focus both on us and on the surrounding nature, while really capturing our love for each other and the emotions in each moment. He also helped us so much with all of the planning in the months leading up to our elopement. Nate is AMAZING and I’ve been recommending him to everyone we know, and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone reading this!! (Nate, if you’re reading this, we wish you all of the best for your own wedding!!)
There are not enough words to describe how incredible Nate is! We did a local elopement/mountain top vows with him and it was the best experience. He brings so much energy and stok...
e - we wish we could relive the day with him! His photos are mind blowing and he creates a full experience out of the day rather than it feeling just like a photo shoot. You should 100% hire him!
WOW WOW WOW!! I almost have no words! Nate is not only a dream to work with but he makes photo dreams come true! He goes above and beyond to catch the most magical images. You will...

Could not have asked for a better experience with a wedding photographer.. he made the day so much fun and we just get to relive our favorite day through his amazing work. I promise you will not regret your decision to work with him!!

r meet and has a boundless energy and passion for what he does. His sense of adventure and ease make the day fly by and you almost forget there's a camera capturing every moment of your special day!
One of the best and easiest decisions we made was asking Nate to be a part of our wedding day. From the sunrise hike first look until our final picture under the stars, he captured our intimate wedding beautifully. We are forever grateful to him for an adventure to remember and the incredible images to remember it by!
Nate was the first vendor I booked because I did not want to miss out on getting him as my photographer! His work is breathtaking! We brought Nate to Hawaii with us for our engagem...
ent shoot and my husband and I were speechless when we saw our photos! Nate makes it so easy and comfortable to be in front of the camera. His fun and easy going personality makes it so much fun to shoot with him! We can’t wait to get our wedding photos back now!!
Stop looking. Just book him. Short of choosing your spouse, this will be the best decision you make for your wedding process. Nate was everything my wife and I could have hoped f...
or on our wedding.
We first chose Nate just for our engagement photos. To be honest, I was the standard groom who wasn’t into the idea of engagement photos. I thought they were posed, staged, and a waste of money. Nate was everything except that. He was fun, engaging, and had such an eye for the right shot. Our trip to Rocky Mountain National was so fun. He put us at ease the entire afternoon.
It took us about 10 seconds after we got our photos back to realize he needed to be there for our wedding day. We couldn’t have made a better choice. Nate listens. He cares. He wants to make sure you get the wedding photos you want. Too often we’ve seen photographers who are prescriptive. Just click through the photos above. Imagine yourself in them. Now go ahead and book him so you have one less thing to worry about for your big day.
We originally chose Nate for our engagement photos but loved his energy and the way he captured photos so much we flew him out to Chicago for our wedding! Since your photographer i...
s with you the entire wedding day, we wanted someone who fit in naturally with us as a couple and our bridal party and Nate perfectly fit the bill! We laughed our entire engagement shoot and wedding day and just had a blast thanks to Nate’s easy going and fun personality. Our bridal party and guests continue to talk about how incredible Nate was and how much fun he made the day! And I can’t even begin to describe how gorgeous his photos are! He really captures the essence of the moment instead of focusing on everything looking posed and perfect. Our photos bring back such wonderful memories every time we look at them thanks to his technique. Nate is so easy to work with and made it so simple to organize the shoots and locations. I HIGHLY recommend working with Nate for your engagement and wedding photos! Thank you so much for the amazing memories, Nate!
Nate was absolutely incredible! He was so responsive and professional. He made me and my husband feel so comfortable in front of the camera, which is nothing short of a miracle con...
sidering how awkward we are. He has an eye for the perfect lighting and stunning backdrops. He loves a challenge to get the best shot possible no matter the location. Our wedding day was cloudy and overcast so the areas we were going to take pictures had to be altered a bit due to the poor visibility. He was confident that with the cloudy weather we would get even better pictures than with a bluebird day. With his experience and excitement, he was able to capture the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. He was worth every penny.
Wow. My husband and I just got our wedding photos back and we both are speechless. Nate captured our dream wedding exactly how we always envisioned it. If you are looking for an in...
credible photographer, hire Nate - trust me, he will deliver magic! He captured all the moments: the laughs, the cries, the love, and the joy. I will never get sick of looking at my pictures - I look at them all day every day. Not only did he do a great job capturing our day, but he was such a joy to work with on our wedding day - he made sure to bring the energy and made everyone grin from ear to ear. It's a good thing when your favorite pictures are ALL of them (no joke) and you struggle to pick the ones you want to blow up to put in your house. I am so thankful for Nate and his skills. Not only did he capture our wedding day, but we were lucky enough to have him capture our engagement AND proposal!
Nate - Thank you so so so so so so so much, from the bottom of my heart for capturing such an unforgettable day. I have the most beautiful photos that I will treasure for the rest of my life and for that I am incredibly thankful.
The decision I stressed over the most was hiring a photographer. We are from Texas and wanted an intimate destination wedding in Colorado. We were looking for someone whose photos...
captured the beauty of the vast outdoors, but captured the intimacy of the day. Nate’s pictures online did just that! We haven’t received our pictures yet (our wedding was just two days ago, after all), but I felt compelled to share how much we loved having Nate as our photographer. He was amazing directing the day, but never felt like he was imposing on the wedding. He was always on the move to capture the best shots, whether he be running uphill or hurdling the side of a freeway. We managed to steal a couple of hours away from our family and go on a little adventure for some breathtaking shots. He has an amazing energy that is contagious and kept everything from feeling awkward. Our families couldn’t stop talking about how great he was the next day. I can’t say enough good things! Whether you are adventurous or not, whether your wedding is intimate or a big affair, Nate is your guy!

ith him fun! He was great at directing us and finding spots for pictures! Our pictures turned out stunning and everyone is impressed with his work! You can't go wrong hiring Nate!
We loved Nate! I was always a little worried when thinking about finding a wedding photographer to capture our rowdy wedding party. I knew we needed someone who was "go with the fl...
ow" and could capture authentic moments when they happened. That is exactly who Nate is. If you are nervous about posing or being in front of the camera -- Nate is your guy. He makes everyone feel comfortable and relaxed while capturing the everyday moments of your life. Three years later, people will still bring up how incredible our photos were. Nate is the best.
Nate is absolutely amazing! He really took the time to understand what my husband and I were looking for and made those visions come true! He was willing to get up at 5:30 am with ...
us to take sunrise pictures! He showed up with so much energy and positivity which made the whole experience so much fun! He is so talented and just a joy to work with!

ce you make for your wedding, other than selecting your spouse to be. His talent is one thing, but it's his charm and energy that really stand out. Nate's magnetic personality with make you feel like you've been friends for years (even though we met and interviewed him over lunch) and bring out the smiles and laughter required for great photos in you and your guests. Our guests commented that most weddings they've gone to, the photographer wasn't memorable. Nate was, and that's a good thing. As far as the pictures we got, they are incredible and bring our memories back to life every time we see them. I don't need to say anything other than that because his portfolio really speaks for itself. Trust his artistic instincts and it will give you memories for life.
If I could list the qualities that we would want in a photographer to join us in our elopement, I’m not even sure we could dream up Nate. He’s an immediate friend with a wildly cre...
ative eye. He emits a light of positivity and excitement that is contagious and has a way of easing you while capturing the beauty of the moments that you can’t see. I will recommend Nate to anyone and everyone, but especially to those seeking an adventure, because there is no better way to elope with a photographer than with someone who is equally excited about your day, and the whole adventure, as much as you are!
Nathan is an absolutely INCREDIBLE photographer. My husband (Tate) & I met him while we were working alongside him at Lost Valley Ranch in Colorado, back in the summer of 2016. W...
hen Tate proposed to me at the Ranch last summer, he had arranged for Nate to be hiding at the top of the mountain, photographing the moment, which I am beyond grateful for now. Later that week, Nate also did a more formal engagement shoot of us, which was absolutely STUNNING. Pictures from both of those shoots are on Nate's website if you'd like to see them. Since Nate did such excellent job with our engagement shoots, we decided to hire him to shoot our wedding last January, and we are so glad we did! As a bride, I really wanted my wedding photographer to be confident in his skills & vision. I wanted my photographer to be clear & concise with my guests & bridal party so they always knew where to stand, where to look, & what to do... Nathan did just that. He wasn't harsh or demanding, but really got the job done efficiently & quickly. He is very direct during his shoots, eliminating any possible confusion, & making him very easy to work with. He is the perfect hire as your wedding photographer. Thank you again, Nate!
I found Nate on Instagram by searching #denverweddingphotographer and was blown away by his work! I loved his editing style, the jaw dropping views, and how he captures REAL natura...
l emotions. My husband and I flew into Denver from NC and hired Nate for bridal portraits (we got married at the county clerk earlier that morning). Y'all. I could not be any happier with how the photos turned out!! There was so much variety in our gallery . Everyone was blown away with our photos! Nate has this amazing energy that just puts you in a great mood! He's easy to get in contact with and answers any questions you have! I loved that there were so many different locations he knew about and we picked the one that gave us that "wow" factor. If you are in Colorado and need a photographer, I 1000% recommend Nate!
Nate was an absolutely wonderful photographer and presence at our wedding. He was fun to be around and not obtrusive at all. He made us feel comfortable in potentially uncomfortabl...
e situations. His pictures captured our special day and so many amazing moments. It was a perfect balance between photos of people we love and contrasts with the backgrounds in the places we took pictures. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer based on his professionalism, presence throughout the day and the way his amazing pictures turned out. He is the best!!
Nate is an incredible wedding photographer! His photo shoots are full of energy and motion which creates pictures that look alive and full. He himself has enthusiasm that is contag...
ious which makes photo shoots natural and so much fun! He has a deep appreciation for the beauty in nature and is up for any and all types of adventures. Yet, he has an eye for detail and will capture all of the moments that you will want to remember. I would and have recommended Nate to all my friends. Our pictures were absolutely EPIC!
If I had to describe the traits that make Nate Shepard an exceptional wedding / engagement photographer, I would point to his generosity and flexibility, his enthusiastic professio...
nalism, and his amenable, cheerful heart. During our two days of engagement photography, Nathan was never anything but gracious, patient, and entertaining. We could tell that he wanted us to enjoy ourselves and that the quality of our photos would come from that enjoyment. He prioritized our comfort, but did not hesitate to guide us so that he could take the best shots possible. From between the bookshelves of a library, to the backdrop of incredible redwoods, to the gorgeous beachfront of Capitola, CA, Nathan thoroughly researched our area and led us to the best spots at each time of day for the highest quality photos. He is an incredible artist, a brilliant photographer, and a loving and gracious man. I cannot recommend Nate Shepherd more highly.
Nate took our engagement photos last fall and they came out SO DANG GOOD. Seriously. I searched pretty thoroughly for what I wanted, and Nate definitely delivered. He took the time...
to talk to us about what we wanted, recommended several locations, and was even flexible when our day came and we got the season's first snow storm (not what we were counting on). The day of he was super encouraging and fun to be around, and powered through some chilly temps!
Everyone we have shared the photos with, including photographer friends, have all been blown away by them! I LOVE that we found Nate to document this part of our lives!
I would highly recommend Nate if you're looking for some not-super-traditional-and-uber-awesome photos, he is one of the best!
We loved Nate! He was fun, professional and did an amazing job with our photos!!
Nate took our family photos and they turned out amazing. He made the shoot so easy and natural. We had so much fun taking pictures with him. He was able to capture the most perfect...

bout him that just makes you want to be around him. If you have a moment to look at some of the other work that he has done (besides weddings!) you will know what a world-class citizen he is and just know you're being well taken care of by someone who just loves life, and loves learning about people - he even took the time to learn our family members' names on our wedding day to make family photos a little smoother. Nate even scoped out our mountain venue at least twice before our big day (that I know of!!) to find amazing photo opportunities nearby to make the best use of our photo time with him. We just can't thank him enough for going the extra mile and for making us feel like we were the only people that existed each time we had a conversation with him. Truly a special human being and so grateful to have had our story captured by him.
When it comes to Nate, I feel that there are so many things I could say to express my thankfulness for him and his talent. There are truly few things in this world more important a...
nd special than having the memory of a picture. Not even that, but a beautiful picture. Nate took my husband and I’s engagement and wedding pictures and I cannot even begin to tell you how many compliments and love we’ve gotten from people about them. We have hung, printed, shared, saved, everything to our pictures.
Nate was energetic, fun, willing, and so creative with! He captured the part of my heart that is completely nature and Colorado mountains while capturing the biggest part of my heart which is my love for my husband. I recommend Nate to anybody and everybody!
Nate, I can’t say thank you enough. You are incredible and I am so thankful you gave Paul and I such beautiful pictures to hold onto.

otos are even better than we could have ever imagined! They are exactly what we were hoping for in our elopement photos: authentic, story-telling, powerful, and full of emotions and love.
It was absolutely awesome working with Nate and we feel so lucky that he was there to capture those moments for us!! This is not only because he's just simply good at the art of shadow and light, but also because of his great personalities that made the experience even better! We'd definitely recommend him!
Nate did a phenomenal job all around. His day-of presence was very organized and kind and the pictures turned out -‘naINCREDIBLE! We love Nate and would recommend him to anyone.

be at interacting with the whole wedding party, family, and other guests to capture great moments. I have been in 4 other weddings and don't remember anything special about the presence of the photographers. Nate stood out as a photographer who added enthusiasm, warmth, kindness, and fun to the day. I know the photos will be wonderful, but I also know Nate already made the wedding experience even better. Book this guy!

g about the new lens that he was so excited about, and I randomly asked him, “hey Nate, if I get married soon, will you shoot my wedding?!” Well fast forward a few months and my now-husband proposed, so we had to call Nate! He did an incredible job with our engagement pictures in the Rockies, so incredible that they were even featured in Couture Colorado magazine!!! And when our wedding weekend rolled around, he completely blew us away. It is one thing to photograph well, but pair that with his fun personality and personable demeanor, and you’ll get more than great photos, you’ll get a great experience. By the end of our rehearsal dinner he had already memorized all the names in our wedding party and house party, as well as family and our officiant’s family. His organized photo list made large group family photos painless. He had bridesmaids do “popcorn storytelling” to get genuine laughing photos, instead of the standard fake laughing photos. We can not say enough good things about this photographer and friend! Not only are his individual photos amazing, but Nate is able to capture your story- everything from the formal poses meant to frame, to all of the candid moments that make up the amazing memories of your wedding day.
