Must Be The Music DJs

sonable, and quick to respond. He was genuinely helpful as we planned out the music for our big day. Mike mixed and cut songs perfectly and promptly. On the wedding itself, he did an incredible job keeping the energy exactly where we wanted it throughout the night. What really stood out were his lighting and graphics, and the way he balanced classic hits with modern hits, making sure every guest felt the music was for them. Mike's personal touch and attention to detail made our celebration feel uniquely ours. If you're looking for someone who cares about making your day special, Must Be The Music is absolutely the way to go.

n party. He is very responsive to communication, reads the crowd at a party incredibly well. And keeps the party moving.

the best." After spending a year working with him and seeing him in action on our wedding day, we can confidently say they were absolutely right. By the time our wedding day arrived, we trusted Mike completely. We knew that no matter what happened, he would handle it, and that level of confidence is priceless when planning a wedding. One of the greatest gifts Mike gave us throughout the planning process was peace of mind. Wedding planning can be so stressful, but he was the one vendor we never had to worry about. He checked in when needed, guided us through decisions, offered song suggestions when we felt stuck, and made the entire process feel effortless. Mike genuinely cares about his couples. He never felt like "just a vendor," moreso a friend who happened to be incredibly talented at his job. Whether it was helping us shorten (and i mean SHORTEN) our first dance song, flawlessly timing every ceremony and reception cue, or accommodating a last-minute surprise from my mom during my parents' welcome speech, he handled everything with professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm. Mike somehow became the hero of multiple moments without missing a beat. My husband INSISTS the only reason he cried when I walked down the aisle was because of the song choice & timing, so thanks for that Mike. And when my sweet brother, our officiant, completely blanked on the final words to announce us as husband and wife, Mike instantly recognized what was happening and seamlessly started the music, saving the moment before anyone even realized there was a hiccup. On a day when there are a million things competing for your attention, Mike quietly handled so many details behind the scenes that we never had to think about. As for our reception, we gave Mike almost no direction beyond "read the crowd & do your thing," and he absolutely crushed it. The dance floor was packed all night long. Every time we looked around, our guests were dancing, laughing, and having the time of their lives. His ability to read a room and create the perfect energy is honestly incredible. What impressed us most was how calmly and professionally he handled everything that came his way, even challenging situations that could have easily disrupted the night (rowdy plus 1s with no life). Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, rattled him. The music, energy, and flow of a wedding can truly make or break the entire celebration, and Mike made ours. He played such a huge role in making it one of the best days of our lives. We would recommend him a thousand times over! Mike somehow managed to be the MVP of our wedding without ever making the day about himself.

ail was covered. He struck the perfect balance of being highly professional and knowledgeable while still feeling completely down to earth and easy to work with. We felt confident in his hands every step of the way. During the ceremony, Mike was flawless. One moment that really stood out was how he seamlessly extended the music for my grandmother as she made her way down the aisle—no stress, no awkwardness, just pure professionalism and care. It meant so much to us and showed how attentive he is in real time. He also went above and beyond in the most personal ways. He remembered a couple from a previous wedding, played their first dance song, and even danced with them. That kind of thoughtfulness and connection is rare and made the night feel even more special. When it came to the reception, Mike absolutely delivered. He kept the energy up all night, read the room perfectly, and had everyone on the dance floor from start to finish. The party never slowed down. By the end of the night, Mike didn’t just feel like our DJ—he felt like part of the family. We can’t recommend him enough.

dustry, and it truly shows. He was not only incredibly professional and responsive, but also such a helpful resource throughout the entire planning process. During the year leading up to our wedding, he checked in with us every couple of months to make sure everything was going smoothly and to see if we needed anything at all. We also added uplighting, which I absolutely loved. Because Mike has DJ’d at Deerfield so many times over the years, he knew exactly where to place the lights to make the space look amazing. I also loved the detail of being able to pick our design to be displayed on the screen of his DJ booth. Everything felt perfectly thought out. Mike’s main focus was keeping people on the dance floor, and he absolutely delivered. He truly made our reception a party. The dance floor was never empty, and we all had so much fun! We would recommend Mike to anyone without hesitation!

e music was exactly the vibe we were going for during our reception and it was a packed dance floor all night. It was a great feeling knowing we could trust Mike for our music from the ceremony to cocktail hour to the last song of the night! He really brought the energy for the introductions and first dances! Must Be the Music DJs is worth every penny and we HIGHLY recommend for your wedding or event!

ughout the night perfectly. Mike was one of the most complemented details that guests have emphasized after our special day. Choosing Mike was the best decision we made and he is the ONLY DJ that I will be recommending!!

and cocktail hour sounded great. The music flowed perfectly at the reception and he did an amazing job with any announcements we needed (bridal party, first dances, cake cutting, etc.). He really made sure our day was as perfect as it could be. Music can make or break a wedding and our dance floor was packed the whole time! We loved working with Mike and would definitely recommend him!

le to keep everyone on their feet and moving!! He set up microphones so my cousin could sing at the ceremony, took the time to edit our songs that we wanted, and zoomed with us several times during the planning process. He is very thorough and we are so appreciative of that. I have received several compliments for him from my guests. Mike we can't thank you enough!!!  Carlen+Buzz 10/4/2025

xactly what we wanted. Not only were we thrilled, but our guests were too. The dancing didn't stop until it was time to turn off the music. We highly recommend booking with Must Be The Music DJ's. The DJ is the core of an event, and he smashed it out of the park. His equipment was amazing and looked elegant too. Thank you, Mike, for helping us have a perfect wedding!!!!

wedding, he was the perfect balance of fun, professional, elegant, and he read the room perfectly, and made sure everyone had an amazing time. We couldn’t have asked for anything more—he truly went above and beyond!

for music as well as for making others happy. He genuinely made sure we had the best music and played all of our last minute requests! 10 out of 10 stars all around!!

than we could have imagined. We highly recommend Mike!

njoyable. He made all of our wishes come true and went above and beyond with everything we asked. His ability to read the crowd and keep the energy just right made our special day even more memorable. Beyond being an amazing DJ, Mike’s warm and friendly nature turned him into a friend for life. We would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a talented and reliable DJ! You will NOT regret it!!

tive with our planning process, which put as at ease with the stress of planning a large event. We felt like the music/entertainment was in good hands. In the final weeks before the wedding, he helped us pick out our music and special moments and worked to help create our vision by providing input and doing multiple back and forths with song edits and it turned out great. On the day of, Mike was timely and professional. The audio/music at the ceremony was good (Mike uses clip on mics to keep stands/handheld mics out of photos, which we liked). Mike was courteous and put effort into the correct pronunciation and names our our family and wedding party, which was appreciated. Lastly (the most important part), he was a great DJ! We just wanted the dance floor to be full and people to have a good time at the reception, so we let Mike use his best judgement and he did not let us down. The reception was perfect and we received so many complements about the music. We can't recommend DJ Mike highly enough.

the lighting, to the overall entertainment. Excellent. The DJ MAKES the wedding experience and that’s what Mike did. Thanks Mike your the man.

ing with one of our friends whenever we exchanged emails, calls, met via Zoom in the process of planning. He pays tremendous attention to detail and quality, plus he truly cares, and it shows! We knew from our initial meeting with Mike that he was our guy and we had found the perfect DJ to ensure we were going to have a blast at our wedding, we didn't leave the dance floor all night long and so many guests complimented his music choices, the volume of music during dinner/not having to shout to hear one another/the quality of audio during our reception and being able to hear our officiant and our vows. Additonally we opted to add the uplighting package for our venue which we felt made a huge difference in the space and was beautiful! We also really loved how clean Mike's speakers and set up are, they looked great in the reception space and his booth display screen is an awesome special touch. We really appreciated Mike taking the time to shorten/mix songs for us and he was in on a big surprise that my husband planned with a choreographed dance with family/friends. Little did I know Matt was emailing with Mike on the side and he also assisted with that music editing as well! We made a special request to shoutout two family members with a graduation and bday the weekend of our wedding and Mike was all in no questions asked and went above and beyond to recognize them in a fun way. Our day would not have been as special without you Mike, thanks for everything!

e genres. He did a great job of making sure the variety played suited the whole ball room of people & what they like! Mike , we are so thankful to have had an amazing DJ like you run our music!!!

information to us and responding to correspondence. At our event Mike was professional, courteous, and flexible to work with our changing timeline. Highly recommend Mike for any of your musical needs.

ongs for us and giving us great guidelines to follow when choosing songs. We met with him a couple of times via zoom and it was very easy speaking with him. He is very personable punctual and all-around a phenomenal DJ before my Father daughter dance with my dad, I gave a little speech on why I choose the song I did. Within that speech, I mentioned how one of Ozzy Osbourne songs would have been also suitable. Our DJ didn’t miss a beat. After we were done our dance, he played a little clip of an Ozzy song and it really got the crowd excited. It’s the little details like this that you will remember forever. You just have to make sure that you choose an experienced DJ. Look no further because this guy is perfect

ion and once we booked our venue I reached right out to him. He was professional, insightful, fun, and had great communication. He made us feel comfortable and confident in his ability as a great DJ. He helped us create a perfect wedding day. He reached out to us multiple times throughout the planning process to check up on us and help us with anything. He was extremely accommodating with my special request to do a mash up of two songs for my father daughter dance. It was a big hit! Our dance floor was crowded all night long and the music was enjoyed by all generations of guests. He played all our must played songs and created a upbeat vibe or the entire night. I spent the entire night on the dance floor and that is exactly what I wanted! Mike was the best DJ we could have asked for and I would recommend him to anyone getting married!

d in with us to see if we needed anything and always reassured us that we were in great hands! My husband and I were very particular about our music selection, providing a detailed list of must-plays and even giving him a playlist to stick to throughout the night. He not only stuck to our playlist but he added his own special touch to it and made it even better. We had quite a diverse wedding from our wedding party to our guests and he made sure that every single guest at our wedding was on the dance floor. We kept receiving compliments throughout the night and even weeks after our wedding about how amazing our DJ was. We selected uplighting in our package as well, which hoisted the entire atmosphere of our venue. He walked us through every step of the process, made himself available for any questions we had, and kept checking in with us to ensure everything was on the right track. He left no detail unattended, giving us total peace of mind. If you’re looking for a DJ who’s professional, outgoing, and genuinely passionate about making your event special, DJ Mike is THE man! We highly recommend him to any couple who is seeking a personalized, fun, and extravagant wedding experience! Antonio and I got married on September 7th, 2024 and it was truly an unforgettable night thanks to DJ Mike. We appreciate you and your services more than we could ever express. - The Echevarrias 🤍

y particular about our music selection, providing a detailed list of must-plays and an admittedly excessive "do-not-play" list. Mike was an absolute trooper, respecting all our preferences while still creating an incredible vibe for our guests. The Afrobeat fusion we requested for the reception was spot on, keeping everyone on their feet. Even during cocktail hour, his song selection was so good that I found myself dancing before I even hit the dance floor! His versatility and understanding of the crowd were unmatched. Not only did he crush it as a DJ, but he also doubled as an outstanding MC. He kept the energy high, the schedule flowing smoothly, and the guests fully engaged. We opted for the uplighting package as well, which elevated the entire ambiance of the venue. On top of his DJ and MC skills, Mike was one of the best vendors we worked with in terms of communication. He walked us through every step of the process, made himself available for any questions we had, and even checked in with us periodically to ensure everything was on track. From song choices to name pronunciations, he left no detail unchecked, giving us total peace of mind. If you’re looking for a DJ who’s professional, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about making your event special, Mike is your guy. We highly recommend him to any couple who wants a personalized, fun, and unforgettable wedding experience!

en being organized and fun-loving, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night. His ability to read the room and play the right songs at the right time was amazing, and it made everything feel seamless. If you want an stress-free, unforgettable wedding party, can’t recommend enough Must Be the Musics DJs.

that to Mike. He made sure things went smoothly, made sure the right music was made at the right time, and he really kept the dancefloor alive. I do not think there was 1 point throughout our night that the dancefloor died down. Mike, thank you for everything. You really helped make our night special.

He was beyond professional and personable. The sheets he provided to pick out our wedding music were easy to follow and made the process a lot simpler. Mike actually cares about his clients and wants the best for them; that shows through his work. You can tell he enjoys what he does for a living, providing the best DJ services possible. There was always clear, constant communication and he was available to answer any questions we had thoughout the process. There was not a song played that we didn’t want played. We would recommend Mike to ANYONE on their search for the perfect DJ. We hope to see him in the future for other weddings we attend—he’s the best!

I felt so comfortable from start to finish and had no worries when it came to the music, intros, etc on the big day. Had multiple people comment on how good the selection was!! The energy was top notch and the equipment was A+. You were absolutely phenomenal and I can’t thank you enough for making our day so special!!!

f the party everything was seamless! There is no need to look any further for a DJ for your event, Mike is the answer!

f my entire wedding planning experience. As soon as I reached out to him I could tell how truly passionate he was about ensuring that my special day was perfect. He was always quick to respond and checked in frequently over the almost year in-between booking and the date of our event. Mike also created perfect custom cuts of songs that absolutely made our big day that much more personal and memorable. People are still talking about how much fun they had weeks later and I truly believe that was mostly because of the awesome music!

s also kind, caring, and fun! Creating incredible optical displays, perfectly complimenting the couple’s style, and providing the perfect amount of energy, Mike truly made the evening so very special. Mike quickly felt more like a family member or friend, rather than someone hired to entertain. Truly could not have asked for a better DJ for my daughter’s wedding on October 11, 2024.

Great audio during the ceremony, great song choices in cocktail hour and perfectly executed our must plays and other announcement requests during the reception. He is great at reading the room and keeping the dance floor busy even for a Sunday wedding!

t above and beyond to ensure we had the best wedding day ever. Our guests were on the dance floor from start to finish. He provided quality mics during the ceremony for anyone who had a speaking role. The day was literally flawless. Highly recommend his services!

d helpful throughout the process. Our friends and family have all had great responses to the music and atmosphere!

ors running around with crazy headsets. All in all though, the production value left a lot to be desired. There was a microphone on a stand during the ceremony that nobody, including the bride and groom and various guest speakers, were close enough to to be sufficiently audible. During the reception, the groom's party exited and re-entered the room 3 times because the DJ couldn't get their entrance music to work. The crowd literally started cheering "no music!" and clapping for them to just come out. While it was a great time and a beautiful wedding, all the money in the world couldn't secure them the carefree and issue-free experience that we had with Mike. There was no distracting microphones, no problems with cues or queued music... everything just worked great and we didn't have to even think about it. So while we were both certainly satisfied with the service, this weekend solidified our belief that we made a great choice in hiring you. We're stoked and continue to be stoked with your performance. Thanks again for being, above all else, a supremely reliable dude. We won't hesitate to recommend your services in the future should the situation arise.

ones for ceremony, vibes were all 10/10. My wife and I cannot recommend Mike enough!

to hire Mike. I highly recommend him!

o throw them a reception style event, a 'Happily Ever After Party', a few weeks later. The whole event was planned in about 3-4 months. Mike was great from the moment we first contacted him & he kept the night fun & casual (which is what we wanted) for all our guests. Highly recommend Mike!

were over the moon. He was very thorough during our zoom calls and ensured that every detail and song we wanted to hear were included in our day. He made our parents feel special on the day with the song dedications to them from our "please play" list, and kept our guests on the dance floor all night. 1 month later and we are still getting so many compliments on the music! Mike always reached out when he said he would, and made us feel so special leading up to, and throughout our day. We truly could not have pulled off the magic that we did without his help during the ceremony with the instrumentals and flowing all the way to our final private dance. Hands down the best DJ around!

ceremony, he worked closely with our officiant and venue staff to ensure a flawless flow of events and crystal sound and mic setup - watching a video of our ceremony, I can hear my vows so clearly and I wasn't even mic'ed up (my husband and officiant were) but everyone could hear me!! His uplighting is a MUST!!! It truly changed the night and got everyone (of every age) onto the dancefloor. Mike created an environment filled with excitement, joy, and energy I will cherish forever. I will ALWAYS recommend Must Be the Music because he made our night unforgettable!!

keeping everyone on the dance floor all night long. He even played our special song, making our first dance unforgettable. He also did an excellent job with custom edits to songs for extra special moments during the reception. Additionally, his responsiveness and flexibility throughout the planning process made everything run smoothly. On the day, Must Be The Music DJ's were a key part of making our celebration unforgettable. Their setup looked fantastic, adding to the overall ambiance of the venue. We truly appreciated his professionalism and ability to adapt to the vibe of the crowd. Mike brought an energy to the event that elevated the entire celebration. His ability to read the room and keep the party going was commendable. We're grateful for his contribution to our special day and would recommend his services to anyone looking to create a lively and memorable wedding reception.

ng even more personal. He was so friendly, went out of his way to come out and direct the bridal party prior to being introduced at the reception, comes dressed to the nines and adds a personal touch by adding our names in our wedding color to his DJ setup. He not only played a terrific playlist during each part of the wedding day but does the initial leg work behind the scenes to make our song choices work, even trimming our first dance and parent dances down from 4 minute songs to much more tolerable 2.5 minute songs flawlessly. I highly recommend Mike!
