DO NOT HIRE! The bride spoke to him months in advance to her wedding in May 2024. He had the date available and agreed to do her wedding. She emailed him the song list, per his req...
uest, many times and had no response. Between the bride & the bride’s mother, they got hardly any response from him. He kept saying he’s “old school” and doesn’t do contracts or invoices, just to hand him the money the day of the wedding. The bride’s mother even offered to meet somewhere BEFORE the wedding to give him money or Venmo him. I spoke to Al 8 days before the wedding, he told me the exact thing “I am old school so no contract or invoice”. It didn’t sit well with me but many reviews said he was great! Spoke to Al AGAIN the following day, now 7 days before the wedding to confirm he got the song list via phone call. Texted him the song list and bridal party order as well. He confirmed via message he got the list and would be working on it. The day before the wedding in the morning, I received a message saying “I have all the songs ready to go”. He requested the announcement order for the reception, I sent it and he responded “perfect.” I texted one more time, around 5pm saying a last minute song change and he responded “okay.” Now it is the wedding day, ceremony starts at 2pm. At 1:30pm, no one has heard from him. I texted him asking “Are you here by chance?” And he responded 3 minutes later asking “where?” And then another message making absolutely no sense, just seconds after “How does cotton wood float, how does it stay in the tree until it's released. How don't I see it in the tree before?”. I responded with the bride’s name, location, and ceremony time. And absolutely no response. I called him twice and no answer either time. Voicemail box was full. The photographer at the wedding knew who he was, reached out to his significant other, who said he was ready the night before & she would reach out to him. The photographer went to reach back out to the significant other & saw that she got blocked via social media (as she reached out via Facebook messenger). He NEVER showed. He NEVER called. He NEVER texted. Absolutely nothing.

While Allen allowed us to pick most of the music, he also did a great job selecting gap-fillers and making the whole night flow. He was discrete, but always present. He made sure that the event moved from point A to point B smoothly. Most importantly, Allen was flexible and adapted when circumstances called for it. A number of my guests expressed to me how great the DJ was!

6 PM. Cheryl, my niece, her mother, and some other family members made the 2+ hour trip here to our house to meet with Allen. At 5:23 PM on the 14th, which is the day he was supposed to meet with us at 6 PM, he canceled via email. Couldn’t even make a phone call. 37 minutes before he was supposed to be here. Absolutely no way to run a business. So much time wasted on our end thinking we had a DJ lined up.
