My partner and I had an awful experience trying to arrange our wedding here. After an hour-long tour of the space where the owner, April, took notes in pencil on the back of an env...
elope, we left a deposit to hold our date and inquired about pricing for two uses of the space. After five weeks of calls, texts, and emails, we simply never got an answer about how much it would cost to rent the space. Instead, we got updates about April's personal life, her desire to hire an assistant, and excuses about why she couldn't deliver us a contract. We wound up booking a different venue that was responsive to our messages. After we informed April that we would be going a different direction, she CASHED OUR DEPOSIT even though we had never signed a thing with her. THEN, six months later, her assistant called us to demand MORE MONEY to hold our date since other couples were inquiring about the space. I was appalled that I was getting this call and was very stern on the phone that we were simply unable to do business because our extremely normal request for a price on the space. Truth believed, I was in such shock that I was getting a call about having a wedding there AT ALL considering I had cancelled six months earlier! I very strongly recommend against working with this venue.
We hosted my sister's bridal shower here with about 40 people. The venue is a beautiful space, and April and her team were so great to work with! From booking to the event day, Apr...
il and her team were extremely responsive and flexible as needed. They made sure the space was clean, set up the tables, and even matched the artwork to the event theme.
I would definitely recommend Mulberry Art Studios!
Our wedding at Mulberry was fantastic! It was the perfect venue for what we wanted. April was great and worked with us through the entire process. Throughout the entire year Ap...
ril was always available through text or phone call. She was generous with her various closets of decor and really listened to the vision we had for our wedding. Did we have to do some setup? Yes, but that was okay with us (and I am a Type-A person) so it worked out. I think that having a binder filled with notes and pictures was helpful, along with a day of coordinator to pull it all together. Our caterer also worked well with April at the venue and everything seemed to run super smoothly and on time.
DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO DO THE VENUE’S JOB!!!! At first this venue seemed absolutely perfect! It’s beautiful and April seemed so lovely and helpful.. It t...
urned into a disaster. From the very start April assured me that she and her crew would set up the rooms for us and we didn’t need to worry about anything but decorating, she assured me that changing the Mulberry room from the ceremony to reception area would be no problem and timely, and she maintained that most of all she wanted my vision of my dream wedding to come true. The day before the wedding when we had arrived to decorate the venue, April had not done anything to get it ready for us. She had not cleaned, not fixed lights that were burned out, no tables or chairs were brought out or set up, and the whole venue was stuffed with all of her junk—random decorations, paperwork, fake plants, supplies, etc. We had to clean out the entire space FOR her, when she had insisted the space would be ready for us upon arrival. It took us four hours (and by “us” I mean my amazing bridal party and family, a total of 14 people) to clear everything out. When I asked her why things were not ready for us, and if she could show us where to get linens and tables and chairs (again, this was her job to do, not ours) she responded extremely rudely and told me I was setting her behind schedule. The entire day she and her staff did next to nothing to help us set up—when it was their job to have cleared out the space for us. In fact, while we were all running around to get stuff done, April asked us if we could organize one of her storage rooms and water her plants. April told us they didn’t set up for us because she knew I had people coming to help me (meaning she expected free labor and for us to do her job). It nearly ruined the whole venue, as we had other things to do that day and almost didn’t even have time to finish decorating the space! April was very rude during the process and one of her staff, James, got in my face and yelled at me at one point, which made the whole day very difficult for me, the bride, who already had a lot on my mind. If we had not had 14 of our own people there to help us it would have never gotten done—and the large amount of people needed to clean up her stuff shows just how dirty, cluttered, and unprepared the venue was when we arrived. The day of the wedding was also a disaster. April had not finished hanging artwork in the ceremony room—and 15 minutes before the ceremony began she was still trying to hang artwork while guests were waiting to be seated, including older guests who needed to sit down. When the room needed to be changed over from the ceremony to the reception, April had originally assured us that she would be able to do so in the hour and a half we gave her during the cocktail hour. April took an extra hour and therefore dinner was set back an hour late (food was cold because the caterer had planned on the original time and schedule we had given them), the photographer had to leave before we finished everything we were supposed to, and there was barely time for dancing because the DJ left at the time originally scheduled for as well. The extra hour April took from us cost us dancing time, photos that we were looking forward to have taken, and guests who were unhappy with their meals. The caterer told us that this is always the case when they work with April. April also tried to blame her lateness on us, and again was very rude.

ts along the windows and ledges to compliment our theme, and surprising us with stunning bride and groom seating it was elegant and lovely. The talents of April and her staff are unmatched. Thank you for a most wonderful wedding!
April and her staff were kind and helpful throughout the entire wedding planning process. The flexibility with this venue is unparalleled - almost every aspect of our event was han...
d tailored (drinks, menu, seating arrangements, time frames, etc.) and April went above and beyond to accommodate each detail and adding in her own suggestions so nothing was forgotten or overlooked. She acted as our “unofficial wedding planner” to ensure our day went smoothly. April collaborated with us to help create our special day - it was certainly a joint effort and we could not have done it without her. Although we, the couple, were admittedly laid back, April handled our “bridezilla” family members with ease.
On the day of the event, there was nothing to do but enjoy it because April had taken care and thought of every single detail. Her expertise and knowledge in event planning and her unique venue had our guests raving after the event. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you April! I would highly recommend this vendor if you want help in creating a vision for your event; Mulberry Art Studios will make it spectacular and unforgettable.
My friends got married at Mulberry Art Studios and it was such a beautiful and unique venue. They were able to host their rehearsal/dinner as well as the wedding and reception all ...
there in one weekend, which was convenient for everyone involved. So many wedding guests complimented the venue and art.
April was incredibly helpful in the planning process, and really brought the bride and groom's vision to life. She made sure everything went smoothly from the time my friends chose the venue until we cleaned up the day after the wedding. It was impressive how much was included from the studios at no extra cost -- art, linens, candles, centerpieces and other decorative items. I would definitely recommend Mulberry Art Studios!
My friend and her husband had their rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception at Mulberry…and it was beyond perfect! The building itself is beautiful and has SO muc...

April and her team were amazing and helped with every last detail, which was so helpful to the bride and groom. The staff is so friendly and they all were so dedicated to make sure everything ran smoothly. I loved that the bride & groom were able to pick art pieces from April’s inventory for display during the wedding…I felt like it added a personal touch. I also was astonished by how many candles, linens, and decorative pieces they had in their inventory to use for the big day! April was definitely a go-to resource and it was obvious that she genuinely cared.
If you’re thinking about using any/all of this space for a wedding, party, gathering etc…then do it! You won’t be disappointed.

re incredible especially during the planning process. Anytime I would call with questions or ask to stop in to review plans, April and her staff were extremely helpful and made themselves available. The staff made sure that everything was cleaned up Friday night and set up for the Saturday wedding. We were SO happy with our experience before, during and after. April is so kind and wants to understand how to provide the best experience for her customers. You can tell she loves what she does.
The venue itself is beautiful with hardwood floors and beautiful brick walls. The lighting is whimsical and being able to pick out your art makes each event unique. They have a TON of candles, centerpieces, silk flowers, table numbers, serving dishes, and decor to use and no extra cost for your wedding, which can be a huge cost saving and convenience. I loved not having to purchase, transport and then figure out what to do with every little thing after the wedding. There is also a wide selection of linens in the basement to choose from.
We had 85 attendees at the wedding that fit very comfortably in the space. You could definitely comfortably fit more than 100. We loved the downstairs space so that our elderly guests could easily get from room to room including restrooms. The upstairs space is also beautiful with a similar look and exposed brick walls. There is also a spacious bridal suite upstairs with beautiful natural light.
I would most definitely recommend this venue for weddings, parties and gatherings. Thank you to April and the Mulberry Staff!

ined! She was very flexible when COVID changed our original plans and is such a warm, caring person. We loved picking out artwork for our wedding and being able to customize based on our theme. There are also closets full of candles, vases, and other decorations that really helped pull everything together. We also rented our linens from April (she has every color you could possibly imagine!) and some beautiful dinnerware to match our colors. Our guests really enjoyed the venue and we got many compliments on how unique and beautiful it was! We definitely recommend choosing Mulberry Arts Studio for any event you’re planning!

they made our big day perfect. April is someone who goes above and beyond to help you and see everything you want. She helped me take my vision of what I wanted at my reception into a reality. Our reception was beautiful and everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. She was extremely hopefully with my family members who helped my husband and I because we wanted to do most of the things ourselves. They are affordable and for the service they provide, I highly recommend.

then April took us on an amazing journey that would end with our big day. April's attention to details as will as her vast variety of wedding supplies and years of experience was not only mind-easing but bought things to mind for us that we wouldn't have thought for ourselves. We had relatives traveling several thousand miles to the wedding, and we were dealing with numerous logistic challenges. If Mulberry had not been so accommodating and helpful, the day would not have been the great occasion it was.
I highly recommend Mulberry Art Studios to anyone looking for a unique and supportive location for their wedding.

My daughter’s wedding was two weeks ago and we are all still on “cloud 9” remembering what a magical night it was. April and her “crew” took care of every detail to make sure Abbey’s wedding was everything she ever dreamed of and more!
My husband and I renewed our vows in July of 2019 and had the most beautiful time at Mulberry Art Studio! I love April and all of the staff at MAS ❤️
As the 5 star rating says, "The best EVER!", and I could not agree more, (I wish I could give them more stars!). I cannot thank April and her crew enough for taking my visions for...
our wedding day and making them come true (and for just being so awesome). From the second I walked into Mulberry and met April, I knew we had to get a date on the calendar for our wedding ASAP. April is one of a kind and she is one of the biggest reasons we picked Mulberry. My husband and I saw many venues, but once we met April, we were sold. She made us feel so comfortable and there wasn't anything we asked of her and her crew that they either didn't get done, or try their hardest to make it happen. Not only was there so much that Mulberry had to offer, but they were accommodating and made us feel special.
They were very responsive and available and it was truly the best day, and Mulberry played a huge role in making our day go as smoothly and lovely as possible. Our families just kept saying how beautiful the venue was and how kind the workers were. The day and venue was truly magical. I would HIGHLY recommend Mulberry Art Studio to anyone who is looking to have the wedding of their dreams :).
First I’d like to say thank you to April and her staff for taking me under their wings. Working with Mulberry was more than just a wedding planning experience. I immediately felt a...
t home since we walked through the door. April is a true visionary. She was able to take our ideas and bring them to life, making our wedding the most romantic day ever. Every time I visited Mulberry to work on planning I was greeted with snacks. They really know how to keep the bride happy. Amongst hospitality, Mulberry offered a wide variety of linens and decor which we all know can be hard to worry about. For an affordable price you’re able to rent these items. The selection of art available for your event is phenomenal. April collects many pieces over time, so there’s many sentiments attached to each piece. Mulberry has a menagerie of vintage vibes. The old elevator and the bakery vents are two very unique components within Mulberry. If nothing previously mentioned makes you fall in love with Mulberry, then the gorgeous canopies will. As soon as I saw the canopy with the chandelier in The “Mulberry Room” I was in love. We knew that this was the place. I don’t think I’ll ever come across such a place with such amazing individuals any time soon.

il was patient and helpful throughout the planning stages. She met with all of my various vendor contacts and helped everyone with their part of the special day. From getting in early to set up, down to the flexibility of the event breakdown, you can truly plan and design your dream wedding in this space. MAS is nestled in the heart of the west side of Lancaster and a short walk to anything downtown. Our guests had a great time and from day 1 of planning to the big day, April and her team had my back every step of the way. They are creative, fun, hardworking group that really love what they do! Thank you for sharing in our big day and making unforgettable!
My husband and I had our wedding at MAS in April. We were on a limited time schedule, but April and her team were more than willing to work with us. She offered honest thoughts, id...
eas from previous weddings, and suggestions on the best room setup, decor, etc. We loved that we were able to choose the art pieces to be displayed on our day, and that the studio had so much character to begin with. Unfortunately, due to some rain we were not able to take the rooftop pictures that she allows, but we were thrilled with the idea. April and her team were very flexible and easy to work with!
Me and my wife got married last November and we were looking for someplace that had character, was classy, and a venue that neither of us had been to yet. Mulberry Art Studios was ...
all that and more. From the minute we walked through the front door, April dropped what she was doing and gave us a tour right away of the facilities. Throughout the process of planning the details, April was very flexible and willing to let me and my fiancé arrange the Louis Gallery and the main room for the reception pretty much whatever way we wanted from the paintings on the walls to the lights around the posts to the table and chair layout. The overall price was very reasonable in comparing it to other options for venues we had looked at previously. April was able to add and drop various aspects of the building package as a whole to accommodate us in making our wedding the most unique and special day possible. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to hold events from baby showers to wedding receptions. April can cater to your exact event needs and make it as unique and personalized as you want it.

he white brick walls! It was beautiful and did not need much decorating! We also used the Louise gallery for appetizers which was very nice! One thing I would improve is the staffing. We felt like there could have been more staff to help run things on the wedding day and set up, though it all worked out and we were very pleased with how smoothly our wedding went! We are grateful to MAS and felt they genuinely wanted to make our day special!
My wife and I got married at Mulberry a few months ago and I can't stress enough how much of a delight April was to work with. She demonstrated absolute flexibility throughout the ...
entire process. No idea we presented got any kind of push back. Instead, April provided ideas on how we could accomplish what we wanted. I would 100% recommend Mulberry to anyone desiring a beautiful, stress free wedding or event!
Having our daughter's wedding at Mulberry Art Studios Labor Day Weekend was everything we dreamed of...magical, enchanting, romantic and unforgettable. Guests when leaving told us ...
it was one of the best weddings they had been to.
April, her staff and the incredible diverse art collections, decorations, antiques and the insane number of table decor to choose from helped make this special day happen. April's event expertise and ability to details we didn't even think of was of a tremendous help or better put "was the icing on the cake". Thank you Mulberry Arts Studio from the bottom of our hearts!

Our wedding in June 2018 at the Mulberry was the perfect day! April and her team are amazing. April was very hands on and helpful all the way through the wedding planning process. ...
She was really excited about all of our ideas, super supportive and helped us bring it all together. The space is absolutely stunning and being able to customize the art on all the walls to fit our vibe and theme was invaluable. This venue is truly unique and beautiful and April was like the fairy godmother of our artsy rock n roll wedding.

g and you could tell from the first time she said hello she had a passion hosting events at Mulberry. then some. April went out of her way to make our wedding day a dream. My husband and I were particularly taken with a specific artist that April had in the collection. We requested all of the artist's pieces in the reception area. Unbeknownst to us, April contacted the artist and was able to secure several new pieces from the same artist to be displayed in the cocktail area and hall. It was a wonderful surprise and very indicative of how April goes above and beyond for her couples!

nderful April and her entire crew were throughout the entire wedding planning process and especially the actual wedding day.
I fell in love with the space years before at my cousins wedding and knew I had to revisit Mulberry when I was looking for a venue for my wedding. After looking at 6 venues in total, I knew I had my heart set on Mulberry and we decided to go for it.
We knew we wanted our Cinco de Mayo wedding to have lots of pops of color and sparkle, and April made that happen with her extensive selection of linens and decorations. I made multiple trips to Mulberry so I could show different family members the space and to also play around with decorations, linens, vases etc, and it was always super easy to schedule these meetings with April and her crew. They were always willing to accommodate my needs.
If I would do it over again, I would choose Mulberry Art Studios again and would 100% recommend them for your wedding or any other event you would have!
April was very helpful in connecting us with vendors who were right for us. We got to choose our own caterer, DJ, florist, and bartender. Any fees were clearly listed and were not ...
unreasonable. We choose Mulberry Art Studio because of its flexibility, but also because there are multiple rooms full of pictures, candles, vases, table cloths, tables, and couches available to every bride for her to express her own creativity. We look back at our wedding with much joy and with out regret. April helped creativity and organization meet. Her assistants were all also very helpful and generous.

y that put our NYE wedding over the top. Every planning session the staff were so attentive, and they made a point to get to know us and our family. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful, and one of a kind. They're reasonably priced... April literally talked me out of spending more money on certain things because she didn't want me to look back and think I didn't need them. (If you're planning a wedding you know that's unheard of) Bottom line... they care about you in a way that goes beyond customer service.
I loved everything about our wedding, and that wouldn't have been possible without the staff at Mulberry.

y asking about table sizes and received an automated email back saying they had closed. Enter panic mode. We found Mulberry just a few blocks away within a few days and we were fully booked, paid and out of our panic mode within a week.
April was wonderful to work with, particularly when we admitted that we had very few opinions as far as decor, she made an absolutely beautiful wedding out of our very few suggestions which is really something we were happy about! April also gave us a list of forger nearby venues to help us choose a dj, florist, etc
One of the employees, Lena, who I spoke with often, was absolutely wonderful as far as taking my many panicked phone calls, letting me in for measurements and choosing options, and giving me an idea of where to go and what to do.
We ended up having a family member do our flower arrangements for us, they were able to come in the day before to work on the flowers until nearly midnight, and to come back in the morning to finish up everything.
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with an owner willing to help you through every step from seating charts to flower placements, this is the place for you. We had an absolutely amazing, unforgettable wedding and we highly recommend this venue to all of our friends and family.
I enjoyed everyone we worked with at the Venue. It ended up looking better than I ever imagined it could, and ran very smoothly.

My fiance and I got to meet with April Koppenhaver, the founder and director of MAS, and her one of her assistants, James, back in late January of 2017. April took her time to show us the entire space (including the fully functional elevator that is originally part of the building) and provide us with the rich history of the building. We instantly fell in love with the space and wanted to make MAS our wedding venue as soon as possible. We decided to get married on the first Saturday of October, so we knew we had to act quickly!
April is incredibly insightful, detail-oriented, kind, and full of energy! From day one, she compiled notes about our likes/dislikes, choices in colors and inspiration/theme. She helped us prepare a wedding that reflected our cultures coming together and blending harmoniously. She showed us her list of recommended local vendors in the area – this was very helpful as we used a few from her list. April has collected a wide variety of paintings over the years and makes them available for couples to use for their weddings. This was a wonderful way for us to personalize the space! They also have a massive collection of items for centerpieces and wedding decor. This saved us time and gave us the opportunity to play around with different ideas.
Our wedding day was INCREDIBLE! April's team worked well with our vendors in order to make our timeline flow seamlessly. My guests had a wonderful time celebrating and dancing the night away.
April and her staff were integral to the success of our wedding day. It was a pleasure to work with them. I highly recommend Mulberry Art Studios for couples looking to create a fun and unique ceremony.
Thanks to April and her staff, our wedding day was perfect! Everyone I came into contact with was so kind and helpful. The planning process was thorough and stress-free. If you're ...

The personal connection and commitment we experienced with April and everyone at Mulberry Arts Studio was something we didn't find else where.
