l. Unfortunately, the service we got did not match that vision.
Hors d’oeuvres were not circulated to the back half of the room, leaving several guests going hungry. Given that we paid $120 per person for the food alone, we definitely didn't get our moneys worth.
And there were additional issues that affected the overall experience. The Mozambique event coordinator was either fired or quit the week before the wedding, and several timeline items were not executed as planned. Vendor meals were not ready at the scheduled time, which pushed back speeches. The bar was serving both the restaurant and our event, resulting in slower drink service than expected for a private reception. Dessert service began much later than scheduled, and by then many of our guests had already left, which meant we paid for desserts that weren't consumed.
When we raised these concerns to the GM, their response relied on limited camera footage rather than the actual guest experience. Their refusal to offer even a partial refund, despite clear service gaps, was disappointing from a professionalism standpoint.
Couples evaluating Mozambique should be aware of these issues when considering this venue for a wedding or private event.

Then we moved upstairs for the panoramic ocean views for cocktail hour and had a raw bar guests are still talking about.
After dinner we moved inside where they have a true reception venue with a band they helped to assemble for a night full of dancing.

in LOVE. So, we decided to have both ceremony and reception at the restaurant. As you can imagine, the food was beyond amazing....our guests couldn't stop raving about it! We still wish we went back for seconds! Everyone who worked that day was beyond helpful and friendly. Kathy, the event coordinator, was a dream to work with. She was not only on point with all of the plans but was so much fun to work with. She made us feel at ease and thrilled to have chosen Mozambique as our wedding venue. We highly recommend this venue and can't Thank everyone enough for an amazing and unforgettable day!
