Moving Music Sound Systems & Photo booths

one of few that listed Afro Beats as a genre of music it’s DJ’s we’re familiar with. I’m African American and my husband is African and music plays a HUGE role in most celebrations - being second most important following the food. Days before our wedding we discovered that our assigned DJ was not familiar with that particular genre and was upfront about it which we really appreciated. As a result, he requested that we send a list of artists and songs that we wanted added to our party playlist. We did what was instructed and assumed the the issue would be resolved. However, we quickly realized otherwise during the reception. The DJ was very nice and did a good job with the ceremony but bombed the reception as he seemingly reverted to a generic playlist of songs typically played at weddings. That DID NOT fare well with our guests and they spent much of the night going back and forth to the DJ station making requests, in addition to approaching my husband and I with complaints. At one point it was obvious that the DJ became frazzled by the number of visits and complaints but remained professional, and tried to fill each request. My husband and I became frustrated but had to keep our cool so that our guest would remain calm, and tried to get on with the night as if everything was okay. We heard good things about this company which leads us to believe the issue had less to do with the actual DJ and more to do with the system used to assign DJ’s to specific groups. Our experience was very disappointing. 🫤

edding) we didn't feel very good about this choice. But it was too late to do anything about it. He appeared rude and arrogant on the phone. He tried to make jokes about how I was "too picky" and continued to brag and tell me TWICE how many weddings he has done and that he is a "pro". I found him to be very full of himself and preoccupied with other things. He often spoke over me and didn't let me finish what I wanted to say. I was very specific that we didn't want many slow songs. Specifically 2 for the whole night. During the wedding, on 3 separate occasions he played 2 slow songs back to back (6 slow songs total). It really killed the mood of the dance floor. He also was rude to my guests who requested songs. The only way he would take a song request was if I personally left the dance floor and went up to him and asked. He did play some of our requested songs, but not all of them and he played songs I have never even heard. I was really excited by this DJ company because of their great reviews, but was really disappointed. On the day of the wedding, right before introductions, my maid of honor went up to talk to him and he went over the order of introductions and toasts with her. She didn't recognize any of the names on his list, and was confused. He had the wrong paperwork and was showing her someone else's weddings line up. He then came up to me to go over it all and make sure it was correct. In my opinion this should NOT be something you bother the bride with on wedding day. He should have had this done, and ready to go ahead of time. Also, no one knew we were cutting the cake. He just started our cake cutting song without saying anything. I had our wedding planner ask him to make an announcement. He didn't lower the music and very somberly said on the mic that we were cutting the cake. Not a single person heard him. Did people still dance? Yes. Did people still have fun? Yes. But I was not super happy.

as a line for it all night. They also put a complimentary photo book together of all of the pictures for us that our guests were able to sign. Both employees were polite, professional, and kept the very busy booth moving all night.

a special photo album for us as well.

rk with and with any changes my husband and I had, Norm was quick to do them! He was lively and played songs! We couldn’t have hired a better DJ!

sts said they had an amazing time, I cannot say enough about how wonderful of a job he did! I (the bride) ended up severely dehydrated and was out of commission for around an hour and he kept the party going to the extent that not many people realized that I was gone! He really put in the extra effort to make it a beautiful, memorable night! I cannot say enough about what an amazing job he did! Thank you Danny!!!

one. We highly recommend Norm and his company!

we wanted and he did a good job of feeling the crowd. He did all the things you would expect from a professional DJ. We didn't want the classic wedding playlist and our "do not play" list was longer and more important to stick to than our "please play" list. We knew what we DIDN'T want so we gave him that list (over 50 classic wedding songs) and my husband and I created a joint spotify playlist of all the songs we liked so he could get a feel for our taste. Dan clearly reviewed that list because all night long he played songs from it. It was so awesome listening to songs we knew and loved at a wedding, and not just the everyday songs you get at every other wedding. the price was good and the service was perfect. I looked around at other places before choosing moving music, and they really offered the most. Especially because lighting was included. I would highly recommend these guys.

rything ahead of time. Thank you for helping make our Wedding perfect!

ed for it! & it was so great!! I highly recommend this company!! So great & reasonable!

ly and they were too busy taking pictures. The photo booth was also very well received and I loved having a book of everyone's photos at the end of the night.

otice. They had everything we were looking for in a photo booth - great props, timely prints and text message gifs of the photos sent to guests right about when everyone was sobering up two days later. Highly recommended!

DJ, photo booth, and uplights. DJ Danny D was our DJ for the night - he was an absolute hit and kept our guests dancing all night! Afterwards, we had so many guests tell us how awesome our DJ was and ask us for his information. The photobooth was being used all night and our guests loved the ability to get the photos sent to their phones and get a copy of their photo strips for everyone! Overall, we're so glad that we chose moving music and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the full package at an affordable price!

ars of experience and a wonderful personality. At one point we needed help applying decorations to the brick walls , getting a little frustrated because nothing we had was working but Norm had Gorilla Tape and that saved us! We also ran out of helium for the last of our balloons and he offered to go to the nearest store and get them filled. I didn't let him but, the fact that he offered was up and above his call of duty. We had an amazing time, he played just about every song I requested and a few I forgot about. . I would highly recommend Moving Music & DJ Norm for your next event.

ng suggestions!! Very polite and cordial!!

ate(that's on us). However, this is not an excuse for starting a first dance song before the bride and groom our on the floor. We had to tell him to replay as rush to the floor and rather than stopping and waiting for us to get to floor, he just started the song over as we still were walking over. They use a website and somethings were not reviewed, such as a change to the bride's family introduction song, even though we communicated this several times. He did cut the songs correctly. We asked for an announcement that the centerpieces were to be given away and whomever had a chip under there chair won it. This wasn't announced, so at the end we had some people that didn't get an opportunity to get one and others take 3. Lastly, I called the owner and even though he said he will look into he didn't seem to have a concerned or want to try to do anything to fix the situation of feel any real remorse for issues. Also, just something I noticed, our DJ is one of the people who wrote a 5 star review on google.

and kept the night running smoothly!! I would highly recommend him! :)

d beyond with the wedding and ensured everything went smoothly. He also had a photobooth set up that everyone loved. Would recommend to anyone!

ops were so fun and at the end of the night we were given a beautiful photo album with a copy of every photo strip our guests took in the booth throughout the night!

did like was his energy. He kept everyone moving and had a good feel for what to play when. He was also very nice and had a great attitude.

everyone loved it!!

y recommend them.

to booth compared to others I’ve experienced, plus a full photo booth attendant, AND my favorite dj in WNY, DJ Danny D! I worked with him at another wedding we both professionally attended and I hired him for my wedding specifically because he kept everyone on the dance floor all night! People won’t remember your decorations, so make sure they remember how much fun they had... I definitely recommend Moving Music for that!

ging he was with the crowd. Dan was very good with reading the crowd and listening to the requests that we made. As we were loading up our cars at the end of the evening, Dan held doors for us, offered to help....Dan is the type of person you want to do business with and trust your event to.

ncing and playing games throughout the night. We could not be happier!

I are so happy with how the night turned out. Definitely would recommend!

is responsibility. He got the crowd involved and was so personable with all the guests even. I would recommend him to anyone.

backyard wedding that was very DIY and he adjusted to being outside and having to run cords everywhere so that it didn’t effect people walking. He even at one point helped set up our cupcakes on our cake table! I honestly could not have anything bad to say if I tried. He was amazing! The photo booth was also great and the workers for it were polite, professional, and on top of keeping it organized and going!

e final cleanup he was the ultimate pro, funny, calming, motivating, and exactly what we wanted. Norm was so well prepared that he knew more about the wedding plan than we did. I forgot most of it and Norm kept us on pace and plan. We had so many compliments on him that we had to write this review for him. We enjoyed ourselves and everyone had such a good time. He played my playlist, improvised, added some fun mixes to our choices and obliged some appropriate requests. We can’t thank you enough Norm. Keep up the great work!!

and there were people on the dance floor all night long! From the phone meetings to the actual night, everything was perfect! Highly recommend DJ Danny D!!

ecommend!

oto booth was a huge hit. I cant say enough how happy we are with the choice we made. I highly recommend Moving Music over anyone else. Thank you DJ Chuck and most importantly Dan.

sic we wanted, and he kept true to most of our requests. He did cut off our first dance song without discussing it with us prior. Aside from that we were happy with the music the rest of the night. He was responsive to doing only a partial father/daughter dance, and helped us stay on schedule. I would recommend DJ Mike and Moving Music WNY, just make sure you are clear in your music requests, and they will take care of the rest.

cool pictures! We loved that we got a copy of every picture that was taken and they were all glued into a scrapbook for us to have. Would recommend!

p everyone dancing and having a good time! He really did everything to make sure the day was perfect! We also had Anthony for our photo booth, he was great, worked extremely hard on putting our photo book together, fun and social with guests who were going into the photo booth!

He gave helpful suggestions but was not pushy and let us make all final decisions. The night of the wedding was flawless. He read the crowd perfectly and kept the dance floor jam packed the whole night. We even extended the evening and he was the most accommodating! We booked Tony after hearing him DJ a friends wedding last year and we are pleased to say he knocked both weddings out of the park! Thank you Tony!

s on time, made announcements, and took care of a ton of "behind the scenes" items we would have never thought of. Moving Music also did our uplighting and photo-booth and that experience was also incredible. They made us a custom album with all of the photos in it, the attendant was genuinely nice and a pleasure to be around, and the uplighting was perfect. The best part - after our meeting with Chuckie - he took care of everything. We didn't have to think about many of the little details we were after for our event. He was not just a DJ playing music, he was responsible for orchestrating the flow of the entire event, timing, lighting, music, announcements, sound during the ceremony, and most of all - peace of mind.

the Photo Booth. That was a complete success! The photos ..... so funny! I still see the pictures on everyone's fridges. We couldn't have been happier with Moving Music! They are all very professional, friendly and their prices were better than other places. Would DEFINITELY use them again!!

week now to get our contract and submit a deposit. Overall completely unprofessional and unwilling to help us.

lot of stress should have been alliviated. Overall, nice people but not very organized and I really had to work to get them to focus. And mistakes were still made.

he films we featured. Perfect! The music he chose was so on point that the guests figured it out and started games amongst themselves to figure out what movie the song came from. Everything was great with the company; Dan, the owner, had no problem meeting with us when we had questions about anything. He even met with us the night his basement flooded because we had already set aside our time. A FANTASTIC company to work with. They did our music, lighting, and photo booth.
