We had the most incredible experience working with Mountain Sound DJ for our wedding!! We wanted the most epic dance party, and they brought our exact vision to life. We were reall...
y looking for a DJ who would customize the experience to us and they did just that. The dance floor was super fun, energetic, and followed our exact vision. I wanted a dance party that did not play the same stale wedding songs as you hear at every wedding, and they nailed it!!
THE BEST! They made our reception party so much fun. They have an amazing sound/DJ set up. Everyone was so responsive and kind. Brandon was our day of DJ and Erik played sax for...
our reception. Their DJ app was super easy to use and made timeline planning so easy. All of our guests had so much fun! They seamlessly took my hours long playlist and made it into something magical! Thank you for helping make our day extra special!
Couldn't recomend Mountain Sound DJ enough for your wedding DJ. We hired DJ Aeryk who DJed and also played the saxophone. He was INCREDIBLE. He did a great job on the mic making we...
dding announcements and introducing speech givers, but his DJ set was out of this world. We had a fully packed dance floor for the whole night which is exactly what we wanted. They were easy to work with and made the whole process smooth. Highly recommend 10/10
Mountain Sound and DJ Eric had everyone on the dance floor the whole night! They kept the flow of our event moving and made for a magical night
We hired Dakota at Mountain Sound DJ about 10 months before our wedding. We were under the impression that he would be our DJ. About 2 weeks before our wedding we were reached out ...
to by another DJ named Michael stating that he would be our DJ for the event. In total panic mode we reached out to Dakota who reassured us that he would be our DJ and that Michael was going to be there assisting him. We had our meeting with Michael before the wedding and we did not feel like Michael understood our vision, but we felt okay because we were under the impression that Dakota was going to be there for the entire night.
To our dismay, Dakota left after cocktail hour, abandoning us with Michael, the replacement DJ, who was unfortunately not the right fit for our celebration. Despite providing a carefully curated playlist that we had spent 10 months preparing, Michael chose to disregard our preferences. The dance floor emptied pretty quickly and we ended up cancelling our after party because a majority of the guests left early. It was an absolute nightmare.
Dakota failed to adhere to our agreement which resulted in a loss of trust and ultimately crushed our long-awaited celebration.
Our wedding had been carefully planned for an entire year to ensure an enjoyable and memorable experience, but instead, we faced a disappointing reality. If there is one lesson to take away from our experience, it's the importance of having a reliable DJ at your event. Unfortunately, our dreams of a joyous celebration were shattered, and we were left with a sense of humiliation.
To make matters worse, Dakota had the original review removed from The Knot, so we are reposting it. It makes us question what other negative reviews may have been removed. We were completely lied to by Dakota which resulted in a complete let down. It has been about 6 months since our wedding and the devastation has not worn off. We would strongly suggest against hiring this vendor.

end everything perfectly. Even though we were busy during the cocktail hour and dinner (we didn't get to enjoy the music), I had all different types of guests come up complimenting the music. Dakota was the person that give us the idea to do our first dance outside in a unique way and it turned out perfect. The reception was a party with everyone having a blast. One of my good friends during the reception even come up and said "I wish your DJ did my wedding!". Another aspect I really appreciated was it wasn't just a plug and play like some DJs where it feels like a regular playlist. He did a phenomenal job combining genres and mash ups of the songs we requested. I could not recommend Dakota more!!!!

the dance floor all night, and on more than one occasion we had guests sprinting across the lawn to the dance floor to catch their favorite song. Everything went so smoothly, and we couldn’t recommend Dakota enough. Thank you!!
Where do I even start!? When choosing a silent disco for our wedding I was instantly excited, but finding and booking Dakota was the icing on the cake! His communication was great!...
His questionnaire to get to know our music style was detailed and much appreciated. We went with three channels. We created two playlists….. and Dakota was live on the third. And let me just be honest, Dakota’s channel was THE BEST the entire night!!! Music was super important to my husband and I (especially me) and we really didn’t want traditional wedding music. Dakota listened. AND DELIVERED. The silent disco was absolutely my favorite part of the entire night. I danced from the second the music started playing til the end of the night. Thank you Dakota! I’m ready for our next celebration and silent disco! 🥰🥰 Don’t think twice, just book MountainSound DJ! You won’t regret it.

I cannot say enough nice things about Mountain Sound DJ. From start to finish, Dakota was responsive and knowledgeable. Prior to the wedding, Dakota sends a questionnaire which c...
overs everything from song requests to timing to set up. From that questionnaire he creates the perfect reception for you and your guests.
Our wedding had been planned for outside however it ended up raining the entire day so everything had to be moved inside or under the covered patio including Dakota. Even though he was packed tightly under the patio to avoid the rain you would never know it by the quality of his set up and music. Through all the chaos and moving parts, Dakota was just to pleasant and always had a smile on his face. He even helped us to keep things on time by giving us ques for our dances and things which was a huge help.
On top of the rain, our venue also had stricter policies on noise and amplified music. We wanted to be sure we were respective at all times of our neighbors and the noise policy. Dakota did a wonderful job at managing the volume and when it was time to end the music that we never received one complaint.
All in all, I would recommend Mountain Sound DJ to anyone looking for a DJ for their special day.
