Janel and Sami were UNBELIEVABLE. Truly, I cannot recommend Mountain Magnolia Weddings & Events enough.
From the very beginning, they made the entire wedding planning process feel...
so much easier. Every question I had, whether it was over text, email, or on a call, was always answered so thoughtfully. They had the best recommendations, and Janel helped me think through every little detail, from how many candles we needed on each table, to the bar setup, to the flow of the entire day. They clearly know what they’re doing, and having them in our corner gave me so much confidence going into the wedding.
And then the actual wedding day was AMAZING. They had a plan for everything. I genuinely felt cared for like I would by a friend. They wanted me to be present, enjoy the day, and have everything I wanted without having to think about any of the logistics. They even made sure I got cute photos of my champagne tower, which sounds like such a small thing, but is exactly the kind of detail that shows how much they cared. We had a little rain (and hail) and they didn't skip a beating, extending cocktail hour so I could enjoy myself!
They also know Riverbend (our venue) so well, which was such a huge bonus. I was blown away by how beautifully they set everything up, how seamlessly the entire day ran, and then how they packed everything up at the end of the night without us having to worry about a thing.
I felt completely taken care of from start to finish. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I LOVE THEM!!!

d organized. They captured every detail and helped bring our vision to life. We had full trust in them every step of the way and felt like we could really soak up our wedding day because they took care of everything. It is difficult to find the right words to describe how much we loved working with Janel, Sami, and the Mountain Magnolia team, but they truly helped make our September 2024 weddin...
g at Rist Canyon Inn the day of our dreams. We are still in shock by how smoothly the entire day went, and that is all thanks to our team of incredible coordinators! Janel and Sami held numerous check-in meetings with us throughout our engagement to keep thorough planning notes and ensure we were on the right track. They also provided us with super helpful resources, such as budget trackers, processional tips, and a seating chart software. In the gaps between meetings, Janel fielded our many questions with kindness and positivity. The whole team was always so supportive of whatever we chose, but also knew when to give suggestions or vendor recommendations. Jacob and I are both the eldest siblings and the first ones in our respective families to get married, so these insights were incredibly helpful as we navigated a brand new experience. On the wedding day, Janel truly took care of everything. She managed all vendors; made sure our party members, families, and guests knew where to be and when; set up and broke down the decorations so that we barely had to lift a finger leading up to and after the event (including replenishing a massive cookie table and helping with the best man’s interactive speech); and handled everything else behind the scenes. We heard from multiple folks about how awesome Janel was at her role, and we totally agree! We would recommend Mountain Magnolia to everyone, and will so miss working with Janel and her team!
Mountain Magnolia was the most important vendor we hired for our August 2024 wedding at the Lyons Farmette. Four days before our wedding, the Stone Canyon Fire ignited north of Lyo...
ns, prompting the mandatory evacuation of the town and the venue. Within a couple of hours, Janel had secured not one but two (!) great backup venues that were available to host our wedding. She also coordinated with all of our vendors and ensured that they were prepared to relocate to another venue if necessary. While the evacuation order was lifted the day before the wedding and we got married at the Lyons Farmette as planned, I am confident that our relocated wedding would have gone smoothly, been consistent with our original vision, and not added significantly to our overall costs. With that said, we had a wonderful wedding at the Lyons Farmette and Sami did an excellent job coordinating the day-of. Be prepared for the unexpected - hire Mountain Magnolia!

he YMCA in Estes Park. Janel was helpful throughout the entire year and a half of working with her. She always had prompt replies and always made time for a phone call, video chat, etc. She is such a kind and genuine person. She is the best and worth every penny. She always had a vision, and made everything that we had for decor come together perfectly. I trusted her with every decision, and you should too! The night of our wedding, we decided mid reception that we wanted some drapes lifted up so that everyone could enjoy the mountain views - she called the venues team and orchestrated the entire thing - and the drapes were up within no time. I had no idea any of this was even going on. I honestly was having so much fun dancing that I never really saw her, but throughout the night, she still managed to check on myself and my husband, making sure we had something to drink, had enough food during dinner, etc. She was incredible. She made the entire wedding planning process stress free. I was in an entire different state, and she somehow helped me pull off the most perfect weekend and best weekend of our lives. I will forever be grateful for Janel and her team. I highly recommend her and her staff for your big day. I can't thank her enough. She is simply the best.

s above and beyond to make sure every detail is covered and planned for. She thinks of every detail and things I did not even think of. Janel communicates with all vendors, comes to venue walk throughs, kept me organized, after each meeting gave me a to do list, and much much more! She removed any type of stress on the day of our wedding, and it was seamless! After the wedding, she returned a few items to my vendors, and I didn’t even know she did that until I reached out to the vendors telling them I no longer have their items (lol). To my surprise, they said Janel returned them. She also had my wedding dress, to my surprise, I did not know it was missing. She is a saint and a savor! Do not hesitate to hire Janel and her team!

you though every step on the day of is something that every couple should have on their wedding day.
The detail-oriented nature of the planning process, from online seat diagrams to vendor communication, greatly reduced the work load on us as a couple. All of this was complimented with amazing in-person meetings where we were able to ask all of the questions and were always met with kindness and support.
On top of that, there was always a contingency plan for anything that could go wrong, which removed any stress on us during the wedding day about weather.
We can't recommend Janel and her team at Mountain Magnolia enough. They were truly a life saver, went above and beyond and felt like close friends by the end of the wedding.
Plus, our dog really liked her and she was able to make sure we could include our pup in the wedding day.

el and Sammie were and how much they enjoyed their helpful presence. Choosing Mountain Magnolia was undeniably the best investment we made for our wedding day. Janel is the only person that we worked with pretty much from day one. The value she brings to working out every intricate detail of your wedding is unmatched. I am not sure how our wedding would have turned out without her aid. We feel so lucky to have found Mountain Magnolia!

Janel is magic. It was important to us to work with someone who is supportive of the LGBT community and could handle our niche details, and Janel did so much more than that. From ...
day one, she has caused us to feel so stress free and supported. From all of the many small details, to advocating for us with other vendors, to being available 24/7 for last minute changes, to the big details.. She has everything covered. In meetings with other wedding professionals and in meetings with our own wedding party, I often found myself literally looking at and to Janel for answers and she was not only willing, but happy to offer her help when we needed her (which was quite often!).
Janel was our Team Captain on our team and we couldn't have asked for a better leader. We adore her and will recommend her to all of our friends.

available to me six+ months before the wedding for any questions or concerns. Her communication with my husband and I, our vendors, and everyone else involved was on point. Her responses are always quick and she follows up on everything she says she will. Scheduling meetings with Janel was a breeze through her Calendly link. OH and on my wedding day, it rained (poured), and Janel adapted so that we were still able to have the most beautiful day. I absolutely loved working with Janel and Mountain Magnolia!
Being an event planner myself, I didn't initially think I needed a wedding planner, or at least I underestimated the value of a wedding coordinator, particularly in the last month ...
leading up to my wedding. Despite some reluctance of being assigned a third-party wedding planner by our venue, Rist Canyon Inn, for our June 2021 wedding - I couldn't have been happier with the pairing. Janel balanced me out, and I sure appreciated her expertise, directness, attention to detail, timeliness, and organizational approach. Planning, coordinating, and implementing a wedding is so different to the other community events I lead, that I was so grateful to have Janel's insights, patience, and affirmation. When she challenged us, it only improved our experiences and outcomes. When she supported us, it made for ease and enjoyment. She never really took over, she merely steadied and supported us, and dealt with vendors in ways that really made a difference. Her work the day of the wedding particularly made it better, as she was a very engaged fly on the wall. I imagine she did more than we will ever know the day of, and I would highly recommend her and Mountain Magnolia Weddings & Events to anyone.

Our wedding day went so smoothly and we are so grateful for Janel and the mountain magnolia team!

n, attention to detail, and professionalism is second-to-none, and many of our guests asked where we had found her! Through the lead-up to our wedding, she had the foresight to ask all the questions we needed to think about ahead of time; in addition, she created to-the-minute schedules for the day so we knew where everyone was supposed to be and when. She seamlessly communicated with all our vendors to make our vision come to life and spearheaded the set-up and take-down of everything. Everything went incredibly smoothly thanks to her, and she is super fun to work with, too. If I ever plan another large event, I know who to call! Thank you, Janel!

hankful we decided to have one, and we truly lucked out with Janel. Her experience, organization, and communication made our day stress-free and exactly what we were hoping it would be. She met with us several times before the wedding, and she provided countless recommendations during the planning phase. And of course she was wonderful during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. Several members of our families and bridal parties were impressed with Janel and asked, "Where did you find her?!?!" We strongly recommend Janel to anyone who may be considering a planner for their wedding!
