Mountain Laurel Catering & Events

urel was via a form on their website. We appreciated that the form asked detailed questions regarding dietary restrictions, budgets, and the vision for our wedding day food. Based on the form, the Mountain Laurel team was able to curate a menu designed specifically for our day, including all details from cocktail hour to our late night snack. This was so helpful, especially as we had a 2-month turn around for our wedding- it eliminated the initial back and forth between us & their team. Their staff was professional, flexible, responsive, and receptive to any feedback given. Mountain Laurel provided all of the staff needed to attend to tables and bars and it was all included in the price! Throughout every step of the process, there was an individual willing to help us figure out whatever was needed to ensure our wedding day ran smoothly. All of the food and drinks from the start of cocktail hour to our late night snack (provided by Mountain Laurel as well) were phenomenal! We may be biased, but it might’ve been the best buffet food we’ve ever had! We’ve received so many compliments from our guests on both our food and drinks following our wedding day. Our menus were fully customizable to fit a desired budget, Tommy (bar manager) created his own recipes for our signature drinks (PHENOMENAL), the food was delicious, and the staff was outstanding. In the chaos of the day, my only regret is not eating more! Mountain Laurel is fully focused on their client on that specific day and it is evident in their excellence.

For most brides, catering is one of the most stressful parts, but for me, it was the easiest. The team at Mountain Laurel makes you feel like part of the family, and the food really speaks for itself.

friendly, accommodating, and professional and did whatever was needed to make our event truly wonderful. I unfortunately didn't take pictures of the food because I was too busy enjoying it. Thank you MLC!

ssed apps and a mashed potato station for our cocktail hour, and then followed that up with a full buffet of some of our favorite foods for dinner. Everything tasted great and there was plenty of food. At the end of the night they had trays of left over food to take home with us. The stay was super friendly and fun, they definitely fit our vibe. We took a few minutes to ourselves after the ceremony and they staff had apps and drinks ready for us. They were very attentive throughout the night, keeping drinks in our hands and constantly asking if we needed anything. We brought our own deserts, but the staff was gracious enough to cut cakes and put out cookies for us. They handled all the clean up and moved all of the leftover alcohol out of the bar and into the on-site Inn we were staying at. We cannot say enough good things about MLC and we highly recommend them going forward.

) and Jes was extremely helpful with any question I had, no matter how big or small it was. I'm so happy they were our caterers!

en away from cocktail hour and from dinner much too quickly. As someone (and the bride) with dietary restrictions, this was not appreciated as the food I could eat was taken away without checking to see if I was finished. I specifically requested a mashed potato bar during cocktail hour, and this was taken away before I was able to get a bowl. The head server also denied the request for me to get a bowl. When I brought up my concerns with the service the owner never apologized, made excuses, blamed other vendors, and gaslit me. When emailing with the owner, she called me by the incorrect name and was unaware of the details of my event (I live out of state and this was repeatedly addressed throughout the process of setting up a tasting and meetings, details she claimed she was unaware of by the end of my wedding). Even though I did not work directly with her in setting up and organizing my wedding, she is the owner and should get informed on the specifics of an event specially when responding to concerns and questions.

for our wedding meal and landed on the idea of tacos. Mountain Laurel made our vision come to life. They created a taco and fajita bar for us with selected meats and so many different toppings. The tacos were phenomenal. Our appetizers were also to die for. Grilled cheese and tomato bisque shooters, caprese flatbread, and a charcuterie board. We also chose to get our cutting cake and desserts from them and they were all delicious. The bar service was great too, especially considering we had a large crowd. Mountain Laurel was also helpful in choosing and setting up our China and linens which looked fantastic! We have received so many compliments on our food since the wedding. We have zero regrets about choosing Mountain Laurel as our caterer and would recommend them to anyone!

s amazing! ML has so many great options for food. We had no worries and they are very self sufficient to help bring you ease at your event. Highly recommend!

the wedding day, they absolutely exceeded our expectations - both with the food and service. Our guests literally cleaned their plates and we're still hearing about how awesome the food was! We also had a pretty specific signature cocktail list, and the bartenders made everything perfectly. They kept the food & drinks going efficiently throughout the night and we couldn't be more appreciative! 100% would recommend. THANK YOU!

we’d be eating there every weekend. The attention to detail and commitment to quality definitely puts them high above the rest!

ountless comments after the wedding about how amazing the food was, how perfect the portion sizes were (not too big that you were tired but not too small that you were left hungry), how friendly and accommodating the wait and bar staff were, our guests couldn’t get enough! We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to actually eat our meal during the wedding and all I have to say is that whether you are vegetarian or not, the polenta is a must try item. Jes was so kind and helped us through table setting discussions and helping my aunt with the cake set up the day of. It was so special that we were able to include my aunt (who is not a professional baker) in our wedding in that way and MLC made that seamless. The french fry bar was amazing at the end of the night and the appetizers were delicious. I love that MLC took the initiative to bring us some snacks right after the ceremony while we were taking pictures so no one got cranky. I could go on for days but there is a word count. If you are on the fence about MLC, we would say take the leap, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you so much to Jes & team for making our day so special and making it feel like we were the most important people on the planet that day!

correct. Throughout the planning process Ally was so responsive with all my questions and was really helpful with recommendations as well. During our tasting everyone was so nice and the excitement of wedding planning finally started to set in. On the day of our wedding, everything was perfect. The linens were exactly what we imagined and the FOOD!! My biggest wedding regret is that I could not eat more. All of our guests have been raving about the food and desserts for weeks. The bartenders had such a great energy and our guests commented on how funny they were. We had buffet style entrees, but the staff made sure to serve my husband and I at our sweetheart table and they were so sweet. I absolutely cannot recommend MLC enough!!

ons to choose from to surprise your guests with! Our donut wall was an absolute hit! The team was absolutely wonderful the day of our wedding and made sure my husband and I had a drink in hand and food right away! For someone who never gets excited about wedding food, this caterer 100% changed my mind!

d is outstanding and their service is top notch. We are thrilled that they were part of our day. Our guests kept telling us how impressed they were with the food. Thank you so much for making our day so special with delicious food!

as we tasted everything. They were also extremely accommodating to allergies and the food the day of was fantastic!

d was. I also love that they do the late night snack bar. You cannot go wrong with this caterer!

fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with MLC. They were a dream to work with — especially Ally H. Ally worked with my now husband and I to curate a menu throughout the day that was true to who we are — including the ordering and managing of all tabletop rentals. She was/is a rockstar and made something pretty stressful seem very manageable. Our guests RAVED about the food — and these were/are some very picky New Yorkers. MLC will truly bring your vision to life — whether you need Italian hoagies for a sentimental family moment, a cannoli-inspired dessert, a purple birthday cake for a family member, or a robust list of specialty cocktails. If you book MLC, make sure to include their pierogies at cocktail hour! They’re out of this world. MLC was the first vendor we booked after reading some rave reviews and they did not disappoint. From the first phone call, to our tasting, to the day-of — they did everything they could to make sure we were heard, and that our wishes — no matter how wild — became reality.

created our custom menu and we barely made any changes. We had a plated meal and it was served hot and quickly to our guests. Everyone raved about how delicious it was! I was completely blown away and I can’t thank them enough. The staff was also so kind and welcoming! Especially Ally! I cannot thank that kind woman enough! I definitely annoyed her with countless emails and she was so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. They say wedding food is mediocre at best, but not when you book these guys! THANK YOU!

elpful, and thoughtful throughout the entire planning process. Our rep, Ally, was absolutely amazing to work with and so patient with us as we were trying to decide our meal selections and table layouts. Day of services at the wedding were fantastic. They were attentive and kind, making sure that not only just me and my husband, but all of our guests and VIPs were cared for the entire day. The food was outstanding, and we're still receiving compliments from all of our friends and family. We also used Mountain Laurel for our wedding cake and dessert, and it was delicious! Cannot recommend them enough. They really go the extra mile above other catering companies that I've encountered at other weddings.

cated to making your day a success, and genuinely kind human beings. I had multiple issues last minute during my wedding month with guests dropping out of the wedding and they always were there to help me, and always were flexible with me allowing my day to be a success. Their organization keeps your wedding on the perfect timeline and I never felt confused or unclear with what I needed to do. All of my guests raved about their food, their incredible bartenders and drink service. Everyone said that they never were waiting for food and nobody left hungry! They brought trays of food for my husband and I and we never felt underfed ourselves throughout our wedding day. They are an incredible company and I would recommend them to anyone!

ood was fresh and delicious, and many of our wedding guests said it was the best food they had been served at a wedding ever! We also utilized their bartending staff and heard great things from our guests about them! Meanwhile the other employees were so mindful of me that I didn’t even need to go to the bar, they were willing to bring me a drink wherever I was. If I had had the time, I would have gone around and thanked every employee individually because of how impressed we were.

s-country wedding, so they worked with us to arrange a tasting at a time that worked and responded to all our emails incredibly quickly. No question or comment was too small. When the day itself came, the food was amazing and guests couldn’t stop commenting. They made sure that we were eating and well taken care of, as well as all of our guests. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

nens, and much more. The servers, bartenders, and other staff members were kind, friendly, and efficent. Our guests are still talking about how good the food was! I would suggest hiring them for your wedding or event!

one was taken care of and happy. BTW the short ribs melted in my mouth… Compliments to your amazing chef! Thank you for your professionalism!

absolutely loved. They covered everything from welcome drink stations, butlered appetizers, a charcuterie table, dinner, and desserts! At the wedding itself, their staff were incredibly kind and helpful and made sure the wedding party got to enjoy all the cocktail goodies as well. 10/10 recommend!

wait long for drinks. The number of plated options they had to choose from was WILD. They gave us really good advice to help us finalize the menu! It was DELISIOUS. To this day, our friends still talk about our apps. The GRILLED CHEESE AND TOMATO SOUP SHOOTERS really stole the show! My husband and I are HUGE foodies and they did not disappoint one bit! They even brought apps and drinks to my fam/bridal party after the ceremony as we took pictures so we didn't miss a thing. The service was truly above and beyond every step of the way. All of the tables and ancillary tables look amazing. They were so easy to work with, super responsive, and very kind. 1000000000% recommend to anyone! Jess Mosser IS THE BEST.

ting with them beforehand, where they were very attentive to our needs and preferences. They did a great job of making sure that the menu overall reflected our story. The presentation of the food at the wedding was beautiful, and the service was top notch. We were blown away by how attentive the staff was to us and our guests throughout the evening, as well as their ability to cater towards multiple different dietary restrictions. We couldn't have asked for a better caterer for our special day. Thank you, Mountain Laurel Catering, for making our wedding unforgettable!

ng for a caterer, we wanted to make sure that we did not have the “typical” wedding food. We wanted people to be full and satisfied when hitting the dance floor. Mountain Laurel knew exactly how to do that. All of our guests were amazed with the different entree options that they had - the Short Ribs are still being talked about in households up and down the east coast. Everyone tells you to remember to eat on your wedding day and Mountain Laurel made sure of that! They brought us our own separate tray of hors d'oeuvres that we ate before meeting our guests in cocktail hour. When it came to dinner, they made sure that we had our meals first and kept checking in on us to make sure we were well fed. We are so grateful and happy that mountain laurel was apart of our special day! Jess Moser was amazing through the whole process from start to finish and made sure our vision came true!

ttentive the day of. They made sure that we didn’t miss out on any of the amazing food. They even delivered us a plate of the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres while we were taking pictures. The food was incredible!!! Our wedding was about a month ago and guests still tell us how much they loved all of the food at our wedding. We are so thankful for everything they did to make our day amazing, and we can’t recommend them enough!!

weekend long tell us how much they loved the food, particularly the short ribs and our grilled cheese shooter appetizer. The fact that people raved about it days later, you know it's good! They were extremely accommodating to allergies and dietary restrictions as well. I'm vegan as well as a few of our guests and there weren't any problems finding appetizer and meal options in their vast menu to accommodate. As well, they were able to tweak individual plates based on allergies. Our guests really appreciated this. Ally was great to work with. Although some communication took a few days to hear from her (months out from our date not days out), once we heard from her, she was super accommodating with all our requests as we changed the menu more than a few times up until two weeks prior to the wedding. The main problem we had came from the Bartenders. If we could give just the bartenders 0 stars we probably would. We had signature cocktails for our wedding in which we practiced and perfected the recipes at home a dozen times prior to providing them with the recipes. The alcohol quantity we had purchased was based on them following our recipes and using the amount of alcohol per cocktail we had instructed. We did not have liquor available for guests outside of the two cocktails to chose from. The Bartenders decided to use their own recipes and ignore everything we had set out for them. They over poured everything to the point that they ran out of liquor just after dinner service, meaning that guests could not get cocktails following dinner or the rest of the evening. Most of our additional ingredients, however, were returned to us (bitters, simple syrup) as if they hadn't used them at all and just poured straight liquor into our drinks. We also had a few guests tell us that the Bartenders were complaining to them (our guests!) about us and running out of alcohol. It was extremely unprofessional and not something a bride and groom want to hear. We happened to attend a wedding two weeks after ours in which MLC also catered and we saw the same problems from the Bartenders. Their signature cocktails were not executed how intended, the liquor drinks were filled to the brim with liquor with barely a splash of mixer, old fashioneds were made with club soda, and the one male bartender was complaining to us about not knowing how to make the cocktails. If it were possible to have outside bartenders, MLC would be a 5 star vendor. However, our terrible experience with the bartenders brings down their rating in our opinion.

tion was seamless. I wish I could have gotten every single person's name to shout them out and thank them personally, but I did get Tyler's and he was beyond incredible. Truly out of this world. The hospitality he delivered with such genuine kindness and care left us speechless. Every guest raved about how insanely attentive and nice every single person working was. Every single person on the team went above and beyond to look after us. The MLC team truly made the day even better. I could write a dissertation on how insanely delicious the food was as well. In addition to raving about the incredible service, the food was the talk of the evening. From start to finish every single bite of every single item was phenomenal. We had guests declaring it was not only the best wedding dinner they've ever had, but some of the best food they've ever had, period. We've been getting sweet messages all weekend raving about it and people wishing they could eat their dinners all over again. It was perfect.

ely responsive and made planning stress free. We also had many wedding guests say it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had! 10/10 would recommend!!

ur food needed to be top notch, and not just the cocktail hour. And let me tell you mountain laurel delivered. The crew was also fantastic to work with. We knew from the beginning that we wanted to have a raw oyster bar at the wedding and they made all of it happen, with oysters from PEI. I am still dreaming of that rosemary focaccia bread with the lavender honey butter.

delicious as the primary offering. They were extremely professional, a pleasure to work with, and brought in top notch staff. I would definitely recommend them for your event and hope someone else local does so I can eat their food again.

letely personalized custom wedding menu to fit our exact reds and specifications. Not only was the presentation beautiful but the food was delicious! Money well spent and would definitely rehire or recommend to a friend!

and presentation were beautiful. Servers were attentive and professional. Bartenders were friendly. We highly recommend them and would hire them again for our next event!

nd. They were patient and gracious and the food was literally amazing. I come from a family of New York Italians, so high quality food was very much expected, and it was certainly delivered! Jess M. was wonderful to work with and everyone we interacted with was great! Guests were so pleased with the food!

olutely amazing and I heard from so many guests that we had some of the best food they've had at a wedding (especially those cheese steak eggrolls). But considering that the day was a blur to me and I barely remember eating, what I remembered most was how kind and responsive the staff were, from the moment they got there. We had staff check on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, and there was so much attention to detail. Overall their entire team was amazing to work with from the day we signed the contract to the end of the wedding day, I honestly could not recommend them enough!

ests. Especially to the wedding couple. They made sure we always had a drink in our hand and provided us with our appetizers while we took pictures. Their attention to detail and making sure they hit every detail to make our wedding day special was fantastic. And the food?! Everything was absolutely delicious. Our guests could not stop talking about their meals and the delicious whoopie pie bar. I would definitely recommend that anyone planning a wedding or event should use this caterer!

rom our guests on the food for our wedding. I literally want to hire them for another event or even just hire them for a private dinner because I am still craving their appetizers and delicious meals. Highly highly recommend!

ed to cater our wedding. They were responsive, helpful, and understanding throughout the entire process. They made a custom menu for us and let us make any changes needed throughout the planning process. Jes was so helpful and easy to work with! I had a lot of questions and she was always available to answer. Most of all, the food was DELICIOUS! Our guests were raving, especially about the cheesesteak egg rolls at cocktail hour! People have such negative connotations about wedding food and MLC proves them all wrong. Food was hot, delicious, and presented beautifully. People came up to us saying how impressed they were with the MLC staff and how friendly they were. I have absolutely nothing to complain about and would hire them again in a heartbeat. If you're reading this and looking for your wedding caterer, trust me and go with them!

day of our wedding so much- they were the most attentive that day out of the whole process working together and that was something we were thankful for.

nu. The food was delicious and the service the day of was incredible, we couldn't have asked for a better catering staff!

h and their staff is very professional. They cook the food on site and everyone is served a hot, fresh meal. Highly recommend!

estions and requests in a timely manner. The service at the wedding was wonderful. The food and beverages were everything we hoped for and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend Mountain Laurel for your wedding!
