My husband and I were lucky enough to have been the first wedding at Moodys on Mill St in April of 2023 and although I am incredibly bias as the owners are my wonderful aunt and uncle, the hospitality, flexibility, and experience are unmatched. The following weddings since have been a great testimony to our experience.

Moodys on Mill St is a wedding venue located in the Iconic Farmer's and Merchants Building in Bayfield, CO, established in 1911 for the Farmer's and Merchants Bank. Our venue is located on historic Mill Street in Southwest Colorado, in Bayfield, Colorado. We are just 15 minutes from downtown Durango. This quaint venue offers a casual and rustic environment. Unique to Moody's venue, we offer a bridal suite located in the venue, as well as a three-bedroom, two-bath house adjacent to the property for your stay. This gives the bride and the groom separate spaces for the night prior to and wedding day preparations. Moody's offers extended stays up to four days before and after your wedding for the ultimate experience. We are here to take the stress out of your wedding day.

    I guess you can say this is my second business adventure in my life. My husband and I owned a Powersports Business for 25 and recently sold it. By the grace of GOD, we purchased this beautiful building and I started my new business adventure. I love and enjoy customer hospitality. My elderly father and I have transformed the outside courtyard to a elegant oasis. It took a couple years to complete, but we are satisfied with the end result. My dad nicknamed me "Moody" when I was a young child after his best friend, Ken Moody. Anyways, the nickname stuck and I named my venue as a loving gesture to my dad. He has been a huge inspiration to my venue, building benches, remodels and lots of memories. I look forward too making your wedding celebration a rememberable occasion. I promise to go above and beyond your expectations.

d the owner is so kind and helpful I didn’t have to worry about anything! Weddings are also very expensive and she was affordable! I also recommend renting the house it was perfect for the wedding party and getting ready!

ty to bring our vision to life. Tables and chairs were provided, and we brought in everything else to personalize the space. We used lots of twinkle lights, which made the venue feel even more beautiful and magical in the evening. Tonya was easy to communicate with throughout the rental process, which made planning simple. The house next door is also an Air B&B that can be used for a staging area for the wedding party or for guests. I felt the price was high for what the space offered, but it was a great location in Downtown Bayfield and we were able to have Bottom Shelf Brewery cater as they were just down the street.
