Monika did a fantastic job of capturing our wedding day. She has an eye for the unique captures. The reason for 4 stars is due to a couple of things, but not reason enough to bypas...
s hiring her, as she is definitely a fantastic photographer!
One issue was not capturing the key picture that had been spoken about on repeat and planned throughout of all bridal party and family in black with the bride in white. We'll never be able to capture again. She did explain this being on the planner to gather folks, but as the photographer, we'd have expected her to work with the planner. Additionally, we didn't receive many photos initially and had to go back to ask for all of them, and in doing so, then received the shots we'd hoped were being captured. I will say, and something that our families and even other vendors had noticed, was the amount of time spent with the men (hundreds of pictures) vs the gals (much less and proven so upon receiving the full spread. It's something to note when hiring, that you call out if it matters. Our men didn't want to be photographed for literal hours, meanwhile, the gals and mothers were wondering where the photographers were at different points.
Overall, when hiring, just go through your day making sure you're calling out where you want her and what shots you're wanting. We failed doing this, as we expected her to know, and that is partially on the planner, as we realize. Again she is great photographer, energetic and keeps things moving.
Monika is freaking amazing. Hands down the best photographer in Kansas City, our engagement photos and wedding photos are sooo good and we are obsessed. She's so fun and easy to wo...

e of wedding pictures I wanted and she absolutely delivered. I wanted clean, crisp pictures. I didn't want super warm over filtered pictures. I wanted real. Our engagement session was perfection. Wedding day was perfection. We were not doing a first look so we had to squeeze a lot of pictures into a smaller time frame. We were also behind on schedule, but Monika and her second shooter-which was also phenomenal, were able to make it all happen. You're wedding photographer is not just that but also like a coordinator. She played a huge role in my day and making it go smoothly. I give her 10 stars..not five.
We had worked with Monika before and immediately knew we wanted her to be the one to capture our big day. She was so much more than a photographer. After a dress malfunction in the...
morning set us behind, she was not only our photographer but she also put on the hat of planner/being the one to keep us on schedule. With all of that on her plate she still produced amazing photos that we are going to cherish for the rest of our lives. She truly captured the joy and the love we felt that day. We will absolutely continue to use her for our big photo milestones throughout our lives.
If I can recommend one thing for your wedding, it’s to book Monika. I was SO picky when vetting photographers and I couldn’t have made a better selection for our day.

ofessional - I am a control freak and working with Monika truly let me relax and enjoy my day. She got every shot I wanted & most importantly basically created my day of timeline & kept us on track the entire day.
She’s SO FUN - this was very important to me because my husband is not a photo guy & he genuinely enjoyed every second we spent taking photos with Monika.
I never felt like we were taking photos on our wedding day. I felt like we were just running around the city having a blast with her. You will NOT regret booking Monika for the biggest day of your life. She is truly the best.

s professional, friendly, and incredibly talented. My dream photographer!
Monika has a such keen eye for capturing candid moments and emotions, which truly brought our wedding day to life in the photos. The images were beautifully composed, edited flawlessly, and truly reflected the love and joy we felt on our special day.
Not only was Monphotograhy a pleasure to work with, but she also went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and ensure that every detail was captured perfectly. She was prompt, organized, and made the entire photography process smooth and stress-free.
I would highly recommend Monphotography to anyone in need of a talented and reliable wedding photographer. The memories they helped us capture will be cherished for a lifetime. Thank you, Monika, from the bottom of our hearts, for capturing our love story so beautifully.
WE LOVE MONIKA SO MUCH! From when we first talked after booking, engagement shoot & day of, she made everything so easy and fun! I personally don’t like being “cheesy” in pictures,...
and she did everything to make us comfortable and natural! Nothing about it was cheesy! She made us laugh, we were ourselves and honestly feel like we found a friend in Monika because of how comfortable we were with her. On top of that, she sent us teasers THE DAY AFTER the wedding and left us speechless! She’s so talented and has the best eye! I’m normally a planner and have to have everything laid out, but we let Monika take the reins on the day and let her stop the bus whenever she wanted!
Monika photographed our August 2023 wedding at The Oliver Building in Kansas City, and I would totally recommend her!

he quality and style of her images stood out in a crowd of wedding photographers. We were looking for a photographer that was able to capture beautiful pictures in a venue that doesn’t provide a lot of natural light. Monika’s vibe aligned exactly with what we were seeking. After meeting with her, it became clear that we had found a great match, both in terms of style and personality. The connection and ease we found with her shows through in the final product. We are generally very awkward and not pros at posing in front of a camera. Monika knew exactly how to make us feel like we were just hanging out with a friend. We received our “sneak peek” just days after the wedding and they are everything we expected and more! Jeremy and I can’t thank you enough!
Monika was AMAZING to work with! We loved both our engagement photos and wedding photos. She has a way of making you feel so confident in front of the camera, even when you think ...
you're the most awkward couple ever! She's so fun to work with because she'll have you do some unique prompts/ poses and you'll think "I'm going to look so awkward in that" and then she'll show you her camera and you're like whatttttt I look amazing!!! She actually made us love getting our pictures taken, which we didn't think would happen! Her editing and style is very natural and candid, exactly what we wanted. 10,000/10 would recommend working wither her!

aptured beautifully and flawlessly. Monika's dedication and passion for her craft truly shone through, making our wedding day even more memorable.
Monika has an unwavering commitment to getting the perfect shot. I was amazed when she laid on the floor of my venue just to capture a unique angle that turned out to be one of my favorite photos. Her creativity and willingness to go the extra mile truly sets her apart.
Beyond her undeniable talent, Monika's energy is infectious. She exudes a genuine joy that lifts everyone's spirits and helps create an atmosphere of pure happiness throughout the day. Her presence alone enhanced the overall experience, and she effortlessly connected with us and our wedding party and guests, making everyone feel at ease in front of the camera.
Monika's professionalism and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of her work. She seamlessly blended into the background, ensuring that she captured all the candid moments and emotions while never being intrusive. Her ability to anticipate and capture the essence of each special moment is truly remarkable.
I wholeheartedly recommend Monika as a wedding photographer. She is a true artist who pours her heart and soul into every shot, and it shows. Her exceptional talent, boundless energy, and unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding results makes me so excited to call her in the future for all our milestones. Thank you, Monika, for immortalizing our wedding day in the most extraordinary way!

is also really intuitive and captured our relationship perfectly. She didn’t force us into a mold that didn’t feel like us; instead, she truly got a feel for who we were as a couple and our photos feel so genuine and authentic because of that. She also found the perfect photo spots for us! As someone who can be pretty awkward in front of the camera (and was honestly kind of dreading being in front of the camera all day) I am still shocked by how easy and comfortable it ended up being thanks to Monika’s skilled directing and easy going attitude. Book her- you won’t regret it!

ng all the photos we wanted for our wedding day. She is true artist taking us to secret spots and going with the flow to find the best lighting within Kansas City to take some beautiful shots of us and though she may make you do silly poses- roll with it, the photos turn out so beautiful. Currently we have only received teasers within a few days of our wedding and I am IN LOVE. I have received so many compliments of what brief (but many) photos we've been given and I cannot wait to see the rest! All I can say is- hire her. She is so worth it. :)

My husband and I are not the most comfortable in front of a camera, but Monika is so kind and down to earth. She made everything fun and easy! for every opportunity that we could. Save the dates, wedding website, photos around the house, we even used one of our favorite pictures she took as inspiration for our cake topper! On our wedding day, Monika really listened and advocated for us to make sure that we got the special pictures that we wanted. Similar with our engagement pictures, we are obsessed with all of our wedding pictures and I just can't stop staring at them and remembering our beautiful day. Thank you Monika for capturing such wonderful times in our lives!

some more Pinterest ideas to, and she was a perfect fit for our wedding! She is so sweet but she knew how to get the job done and make my pain in the butt husband look at the camera and smile instead of being the hardest groom ever to photograph! Monika got us our photos so quickly and I had expectations that it would be awhile as she was SWAMPED with weddings back to back to back. Monika was amazing!

f my freak outs about the timeline of the day. Gave us vendor recommendations and has such a quick turn around time for photos. The day of, I put everything in her hands with 100% confidence knowing she would kill it. And she did. She makes you feel so comfortable during the photos. g it. Mon made both of us relax and genuinely have fun with the process. She was so fun, so spunky, and SO relaxed, even when dealing with the craziness that was my family and florist on the wedding day. After both our wedding and engagement shots my husband and I couldn't stop talking about how great she was, how much we loved our pictures, and how Mon is someone we'd like to be friends with. You won't go wrong choosing her.
She made us feel comfortable and allowed us to share our ideas and she made it happen. Thank you so much for our amazing engagement photos we will forever cherish.

een a wonderful person to work with. Looking back, our wedding photos still make me feel like the most beautiful bride on Earth. Monika captured each important moment, everything we would have wanted, even the silly little things like my father-in-law getting down (literally falling) on the dance floor! On top of that, our engagement photos were even featured in EA Bride Magazine! Monika is reliable, punctual, super laid back and easy to work with, reasonably priced, and worth every dang penny. She now photographs many of my friends and family based on our experience. I just can’t recommend her enough!

e nothing but praise for this photographer! To touch on some of her qualities: easy to work with, professional, talented, prompt, but more importantly is her artistic style! She is so much fun to work with, she immediately puts you at ease when she’s shooting! She has an eye for posing you in a way that looks beautiful and natural, but she also captures amazing spontaneous memories that aren’t staged throughout your event making her the perfect photographer for beautiful portraits and those organic moments! You want both and she gives you both!! Her style is very refreshing and I keep coming back!! You’ll be so happy you trusted your memories with Monica, I know I am!
Monika has photographed my wedding and all my family photos! She captures every moment and makes them look beautiful! Happy to have her the last 6 years!

t pictures with her and had such a fast turnaround to getting photos back. We LOVED our engagement pictures. Nick and I had a few ideas of where we wanted our pictures to be done, however Monika had a few suggestions herself and they were amazing. We had an absolute BLAST doing our engagement session.
Having such a great experience during our engagement photos, Nick and I were very excited to work with Monika again on our wedding day. We opted to have two photographers before the wedding/during the ceremony due to the guys and girls being at separate venues getting ready. Monika brought in a great second photographer, Courtney who did such an incredible job working with the guys in our wedding. Monika arrived to the venue that morning to take several pictures of us getting ready. Again, Nick and I had a few ideas of where we wanted pictures around town, Monika made a few other suggestions that ended up turning out so well!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALL MY WEDDING PICTURES! I'm having a hard time narrowing down what pictures are my favorites. The turnaround time for the photos was very quick as well, considering how many photos we ended up with.
Monika was extremely professional throughout our entire experience with her. I felt very comfortable just letting her do what she felt was best and the pictures are all wonderful.
I highly recommend choosing MonPhotography for your wedding day. I know I'll be calling her again to do family pics!
Choose Monika for your wedding or you will be sadly disappointed! She's incredibly talented, works with you on everything, patient, kind, fun, I could go on and on. Not to mention ...
I was obsessed with our engagement pictures! I literally can't stop posting them because they are the best. We shot in multiple locations, multiple outfit changes and she brought out the best in my husband to be. Before the end of the shoot, the once reserved man was up for anything. He was getting into it, and it's because Monika knew how to work with him. They are pictures I'll treasure forever. We just had our wedding last week and I can't wait to see the wedding pictures. We had bad weather on the wedding day and she was incredibly patient with our Motley Crue of a wedding party. She made the best of everything. She was concerned with my happiness and my husbands. She's a wonderful, fun person to boot so you can't go wrong. I can't count how many people have asked who did our pictures because they are THAT good!
