Modern Love DJs

preciated Norah’s tentative schedule/plan for the wedding day - it helped me visualize the day and feel more comfortable and confident about the day. On the actual wedding day, I could not have been more pleased that we got to work with Norah. The music was flawless and very responsive to our guests, the dance floor was packed all night, and the energy was perfect! Norah is the perfect DJ!

e floor was filled which was very appreciative. During our vendor meetings, we requested a slight edit to a song for our first dance, and Norah did an amazing job splicing the song together for us, we are very grateful! We had such a variety of songs (rap, country, 2000s punk, etc.) to play, and Norah combined them effortlessly! Definitely book Norah if you want to dance all night and want Chicagoland's best DJ ever! Thank you Norah from Nick and Erin! <3

equipment needed for our ceremony, and even worked with our officiant to make sure the sound and microphone setup were just right. Nora made sure every “must-have” song on our list was included, and she went the extra mile to track down some lesser-known artists that were really special to us, including our first dance song, which meant the world. Throughout the night, she read the room perfectly and matched the energy of our guests and our vibe flawlessly. The dance floor was never empty, and we’re still hearing from guests about how amazing Nora was and how perfect the music felt for every moment. She was incredibly responsive, organized, and an absolute dream to work with from the moment we booked her. If you’re looking for a wedding DJ who truly cares, creates the perfect atmosphere, and goes the extra mile to make your day unforgettable, Nora with Modern Love DJ is the way to go!

uests in the song selection, she really made the night unforgettable and kept everybody dancing and excited all night long. She read the room perfectly and kept the vibes high, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ and MC. Norah is very responsive, receptive to creative ideas, and super easy to work with. And, probably most importantly for a DJ, she has amazing music taste!!! The song selection was just perfect. Truly 10/10 cannot recommend working with Norah enough, she will set your wedding apart and make your night unforgettable!

e were looking for, and she kept the party going. In the planning process, I appreciated how she offered direct and honest feedback about how to host a fabulous party and dance floor. Beyond being an integral part of a very successful wedding, it was genuinely fun to talk to her. She's inclusive, kind, funny, and thoughtful. Please hire her!

enuine presence, and has so much passion for her craft. We knew coming out of that consultation that we wanted to book her, but soonafter realized that she actually was the DJ for my friend's wedding earlier in the year -- so that additional seal of approval instantly sealed the deal for us. Norah was a great communicator and collaborator throughout the months leading up and on the day of. Everything went exactly according to plan -- who can say that about their wedding?? -- and she was a large contributor to that. Norah followed all of my planning documents (I didn't have a planner or day-of coordinator) and was quick on her toes -- despite an ankle injury -- to improve upon those plans as needed day-of, working closely with our caterer, photographer, officiant, her assistant (due to the injury), and family/friends to ensure my husband and I could have an amazing, worry-free day. And of course, she provided the soundtrack for the whole day, using all of my 'must-plays,' none of our 'do-not-plays', and filling in the gaps with crowd favorites. She was such a joy to work with. Thank you again, Norah!

move inside for the last hour at our venue, and Norah made that transition seamlessly, so the party kept right on going. We highly recommend Modern Love DJ's for your wedding, you will not be dissapointed!

d a ton of songs that we wanted to hear and also a healthy mix of crowd pleasers and good vibes that we didn’t have to think about. She got the vibe we were going for perfectly at dinner and on the dance floor. She was also very helpful in getting us to think through what kind of music we would want for the ceremony. Also, as someone very familiar with the industry, she had good advice for helping us navigate things with other vendors we were looking at and we appreciated her experience. The best part was we ended up with a dance floor that stayed full and happy until the last song played.

music—guiding us on which songs would work best for dinner, dancing, and cocktail hour, and making sure all our favorite tracks were played. She even filled in the gaps with songs that matched our vibe perfectly, which kept the energy just right throughout the night. Norah was also incredibly organized and helped keep everything running smoothly. Especially when it came to toasts and speeches. The maid of honor even commented on how much she appreciated Norah giving her a heads-up and keeping her informed on timing. We can’t thank Norah enough for helping make our night so memorable and fun!

d requests and she brought so much to the party. Seriously, it was non-stop dancing the entirely. On top of all of that Norah helped orchestrate our entrances and exits down the aisle and just generally put us at such ease throughout the whole process. A incredibly satisfying experience. Thank you, Norah!

. She made sure she understood what we were looking for, was clear about what she provided, and offered suggestions about how we could tweak her services to make sure we got exactly what we needed. Norah had excellent follow-through and she followed up with us 6-8 weeks before our wedding to make sure all the details were covered. My family is Greek and Norah played two Greek dance songs that got everyone in the room to line dance - how fun! For the rest of the evening, we wanted an epic dance party and our dance floor was PACKED. We had so many people stay and dance until midnight. We had so many people come up to us during our wedding and / or text us afterwards about how much fun the party was and how much they loved our music. We would hire Norah again in a heartbeat. We loved working with her and would strongly recommend her to ANYONE looking for 1) a lovely human to work with 2) a dance party that doesn’t quit!

elpful in creating a playlist that matched both the style of our wedding and our personalities. During the event, she made sure everything flowed seamlessly, from the timing to the sound and music. I’m beyond grateful for Norah and her expertise!

that can come with taking direction directly from the bride and groom - and their various friends and family members. At one point, I saw her busing tables, and she even moved our decor around to various places at the venue to make sure we had the perfect shot for our various moments throughout the evening (like our donut cutting). Not to mention that her actual job was as our DJ...which she was incredible at. She cued up all of our requests perfectly, kept the dance floor rocking and rolling until midnight, and didn't resort to gimmicks like the Cha Cha slide to keep people moving. I stayed on the dance floor all night. You can tell Norah loves what she does. Norah is also just an great person: she made us a little disco ball ornament, which she sent us after we officially booked her, and made a donation in our name to a local food pantry. It's the little things. We loved her - thank you, Norah!

big day. On the day she DJed the pre ceremony cocktail, the ceremony, and the reception flawlessly. We had a lot of little unique moments(from heartwarming to silly) and she nailed each one. We are so thankful for Norah for making our wedding day perfect!

onnection, and with Norah (who came highly recommended and with tons of experience from highly, highly-rated Toast and Jam), we immediately knew we had the right person to DJ our wedding. It’s a beautiful thing to work with a vendor who doesn’t just care about doing a good job as a professional, but seems invested in your wedding being wonderful, magical, and important to you. Norah was warm, funny, cool (but not in an intimidating way), and deeply passionate about music (in which she has deep and excellent knowledge and taste). She felt like “our people.” We immediately liked her as a person and wanted her in charge of our party. We also really loved the idea of supporting an independent, women-owned business. We booked her shortly after our first Zoom call with her and remained thrilled with our decision throughout the process. Ahead of the wedding, Norah was clear and organized and gave us a very doable timeline to send her must-plays and don’t-plays. We had some unique live music moments at our wedding, which she was beautifully supportive of, and (without our asking) she volunteered to bring extra little things to help out, such as extra music stands for our guitarists. My husband and his mom planned to do “The Twist” as their first song, and Norah gave us the great idea to have 20+ designated friends ready to charge the dance floor on her cue and then to segue into dancing for the night. That idea kicked off our dance floor with such high energy that stayed full all night. At the DJ table, Norah is a beautiful blend of sweet, sassy, and a “warm demander” (as we say in teaching). My mom later called her “firm, but in a good way." Exactly what you need to get 120 tipsy guests seated from a cocktail hour! She was also warm and personal. Norah sweetly told the story of surprise my father-daughter dance song as an introduction to our dance as we went on the dance floor. My dad was moved to tears. And then there was the dance floor. The dance floor! The first part of the night was 5/5 excellent, with crowd pleasers galore and a nice blend of genres and speeds. The end of the night, though, was just so epic. We had joked in our welcome toast that "in the words of the great Rihanna, we found love in a hopeless place." (We met in June of 2020.) When the dance floor was really going, Norah played that Rihanna song, which we had not thought to request, and everyone went crazy and circled around us and cheered and danced their butts off. Man, what a moment. Guys. You have no idea what it feels like to have all of your closest friends -- across your whole life -- cheering around you as you dance and hug your life’s love. It’s a hell of a thing. Norah is a true artist of beautiful moments. I kept finding myself saying, “shoot! I can’t leave the dance floor -- it’s another banger!” She read the room and rode the energy of the crowd all evening, from a pair of friends who had just met doing the Wobble, to massive circle passionately belting “what’s going on!?!” to 4 Non Blondes. It was amazing all the way through the epic ending. Encircled by our friends and family, we belted and swayed and floated our way to the end of an epic, dreamy wedding night. Norah is the good stuff. We would rebook her any time. Can’t recommend her enough. We love you, Norah!

during the planning process and Norah totally incorporated everything we asked. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!

e, mics, and speeches. Her experience shined through—she knew the venue inside and out and made sure everything went smoothly. From the planning stages to the day of, she was incredibly communicative and attentive to our needs. We and our guests loved her, and she had an amazing ability to read the room and adjust the music accordingly. On top of all that, she brought an infectious, fun personality that made the night even more special. Worth every penny, and I would recommend her to anyone needing a fantastic DJ!

ands-on, our goal is for you to do nothing but eat, drink, dance, and hang out with your guests." Norah was so easy to work with, and she got to know us, and our style of music. The night was flawless. I felt zero stress working with Norah, she is was so positive, and so professional. The music was exactly what we wanted and I was able to just eat, drink, dance, and hang out with my guests. Highly HIGHLY recommend Modern Love! Thanks, Norah!

absolute BLAST on the dance floor. A wedding is a once in a lifetime event and some vendors made me feel rushed in making decisions or didn't give me all of the information, but not Norah. After meeting with her, I knew the night would flow just right. When the last song played the dance floor was still full. My favorite part of my wedding by far.

and guests from across the globe on the dance floor. If you want a fun reception, you’ve found your match!

ersonable, loves music, and wants you to have the best night of your life!

ars later people are still talking about how they have never danced so much at a wedding. You should hire her!!

long. She met with us on zoom before the big day to go over timing and helped us figure out aspects of our wedding we hadn’t even considered(she really is a pro!). I didn’t have a wedding coordinator, I did it all myself, but it is because of my amazing vendors that the day went so well. They worked together, communicated clearly with me both before hand and day of, and made sure everyone had fun. Norah has the BEST taste in music and the vibes reflected my husband and I well. All of my friends agree I had the best DJ ever… the dance floor is what people remember most from my big day. Thank you Norah!

ry good hands if you have her for your wedding!
