About this vendor
MiniDJ is a DJ company creating foot-tapping wedding soundtracks for events in Des Moines, ID. The business provides an affordable alternative to traditional wedding DJs, in the form of their portable MIniDJ system. Renting one of these machines, you can expect a fun night of dancing with total control over your wedding’s music.
The MiniDJ can be rented for a 24-hour period, allowing you to decide when the music ends. The system even includes a number of universal input ports, meaning you can play music from the device of your choosing. Alternatively, you can simply plug in the system, press play, and get down to a pre-programmed setlist.
The MiniDJ team works hard to select the best songs for their playlists, which include genres from disco to rock and much more. Small and compact, it can be fitted into the trunk of a car. Such ease of use allows you to plan music around your big day, not the other way round. You can arrange for a local pickup of your MiniDJ, or have the system delivered and set up by one of the company’s expert technicians.

Booked them a year plus a few months in advance. Im a month and a half out from my wedding and they emailed me saying they can either refund my payment and cancel the contract or n...
ow drive 3+ hours to pick up the equipment. Our original pick up was much closer. Absolutely unacceptable. Do NOT book them. Dont rely on people that so willingly breach the contract.
MiniDJ was perfect for our wedding! We had a moderate sized indoor wedding with about 250 guests and everyone could hear the music perfectly. The sound quality was very professiona...
l and no one knew that we didn't pay for a live DJ unless they noticed my brother running the music. He prepared a Spotify playlist before the reception so starting the music was as simple as plugging in his laptop and hitting play.
Our biggest issue was the two microphones that came with the system. Our officiant and emcee used these microphones during the ceremony and reception and occasionally had issues with the sound cutting out. It wasn't bad enough to be a major issue but was definitely noticeable.
Overall, I would highly recommend MiniDJ. The price is absolutely unbeatable and we had a very positive experience! 250 guests is definitely near the upper limit of guest count, but anything a similar size or smaller would work very well!
It was great, see my wedding wire review!
My fiancée and I were having a small (about 50 people) wedding due to COVID and we were looking to keep the budget in line when we found MiniDJ. What a great system! They came and ...
setup everything for us and there was even a walkthrough video that showed us how to use the system. My uncle did some of the announcements and played our first dance song and it sounded great! We danced for hours and everyone had a great time! A really cool and really affordable option. Definitely would recommend and use again.
We used MiniDJ for a backyard wedding (with covid going on) and it was great! It probably took my brother 10 minutes to pick the music. There was music for dinner and dancing, ever...
ything we needed was on there already. I know you can hook in your phone if you need to, but we really didn’t need that. We used the wireless microphones for toasts and speeches which were really easy to use. I’m definitely glad we picked it, I’d totally use it again.
We decided to use the mini dj system for our wedding because our friend referred it to us. We were looking to save a little money, $800 for a DJ was too much. It was easy to use, m...
y cousin picked the music. It came with a bunch of playlists and he just hooked up his phone to play a couple other songs. We just let it play and everyone had a great time. I will definitely use it again for parties and refer it to friends.
