Mindy Joy Photography

say enough good things. Our photos are absolutely stunning! Thank you Mindy for all of your time and hard work.

th 100% faith to every single engaged person I know. I cannot speak more highly of Mindy's work, her attention to detail, and the experience she provides on a wedding day. We worked with Mindy for two engagement sessions and our wedding day. And each time, Mindy delivered photos that made us laugh, cry, gasp with excitement, and squeal with joy. Mindy's creative, artistic approach is truly unmatched and provides her clients with timeless art pieces that will be cherished for generations to come. Plus, she captures candid moments that give you a real time capsule of your day as it unfolded. Not only does she have a creative eye for details, artistic shots, small moments, and candids, but she will also provide beautiful portraits that are a true, genuine representation of your day and your relationship. Mindy takes the time to get to know her couples' personalities in a way that allows them to shine in photographs. My husband and I have so many photos that are so perfectly "us" that another photographer would not have captured. Mindy is so invested in the day - she even teared up during my first look with my dad - and makes your wedding experience feel even more special. Every member of our bridal party and family has separately told me how much they loved meeting Mindy and how fantastic she was to work with all day. She had us all relaxed an comfortable in front of the camera in a way I have never experienced when I've been a bridesmaid in other weddings. Taking photos felt less like a formality and more like a fun thing we all got to experience together. We felt that way after our engagement photos as well - not as if we had just done a photoshoot, but as if we just had a fun date where we laughed and enjoyed ourselves. And not to mention that she provided us with sneak previews THE NEXT MORNING and our full wedding album in record time! I cannot recommend Mindy enough. I'd give 1,000 out of 5 stars if I could.

professionalism were unlike any other photographers I've worked with before. I will be working with her again in the future!

going above and beyond to go on a site tour with us prior to our wedding. Mindy made taking photos so FUN, and our entire wedding party adored her and loved her prompts. The couple of photos we have received so far have been incredible and we are anxiously awaiting our full gallery! 500/5 stars!!!

ntire day and night. From the minute we first hired Mindy for our wedding, we knew she was going to be the best, and she did not let us down one bit! We will definitely be hiring Mindy again for photoshoots in the future, and you should too! Thanks again Mindy, you guys rock!

rls. Claire was amazing, the second photographer, as well! They both were an amazing match for our wedding, I'm so blessed we were able to have her!

something looked a tiny bit off. Very attentive and she made me feel so comfortable and beautiful! During the ceremony, I honestly don’t even remember her taking pictures she was so discreet. Highly recommend!

getting married and were so thankful we made that decision. She truly understood how we were as a couple and her photos from our wedding day showed that! Her and her assistant, captured all the moments we had sent a list of prior to our wedding but once we got our photos back I was blown away! My husband and I both thought “when did she capture this and that photo”! Mindy captured so many details of our wedding day from the start all the way to the end of the wedding night. She was beyond amazing! She helped us remain calm and joined in with our entire bridal party enjoying our special day. We just loved that at no moment did we not feel ourselves. One of our favorite moments of Mindy was at the end of the night right before she was leaving, she pulled my husband and me to the side. She ended up handing us mini Polaroid photos from THAT DAY! It is such a unique memory that we have and we loved being able to take those the next morning to brunch to show our families and friends! We are so ever thankful for Mindy capturing our wedding day!

is very reliable and answers any questions you may have in a timely manner. Her photos make you feel as if you attended the event yourself, even is you didn't. She went above and beyond to make our wedding photos beautiful. She provides you with at least one full wedding she photographed, so you get a better idea of her style. When she sent that over to me to view I knew she was the exact photographer we were looking for our wedding. We did our engagement photos as well with her and they were fantastic! She has an eye for photography that is for sure.

r pictures to you - We could not have been more happy to have her for our big day!

this: as a photographer myself, I searched for hours and days to find someone who had what we were looking for in style, documentation tendencies, and eye for the art of photography and a clear sense of humor—Mindy went above and beyond the call of duty. She and her lovely assistant drove through Chicago rush hour traffic to meet us on a summer afternoon/evening along the Chicagoland lakefront. They wasted no time in helping us both relax, get into the mood to be photographed and truly be our authentic selves. We are not cliché, pose-y people, and I truly feel that Mindy documented our pre-marital love in the most authentic, flawless and unique way. Our friends and family were mind blown just by the engagement pictures, and we have them hung around our home, soon to be coupled with wedding day pictures. As for the wedding, we were truly rendered speechless. Mindy and Brian came in with figurative guns-a-blazing—they were present, enthusiastic and genuinely excited to be part of our day. Mindy blended right into my group of friends, the bridal party genuinely interested in being members of her fan club. They worked diligently, quickly, quietly and creatively to help document the most subtle yet arguably most beautiful shots of the day. From the individual portraits, to the first look, to the ceremony, to the dance floor and beyond—looking back through our pictures brought back the heart pounding, adrenaline filled moments, the overwhelmed-with-happiness tears, and belly laughter at some of the things she and Brian managed to capture. She ended the evening with a big hug and handing us a stack of mini polaroids—pictures she had taken THAT DAY—as a momento for the evening. I can think of nothing else we received that made us feel the way those polaroids made us feel. They were immediately shared with friends and family and looked at hundreds of times in just a matter of days—what an incredibly thoughtful, loving and brilliant way to send off your bride and groom. Anyone and everyone who is looking for authentic, beautiful, REAL documentation of one of the biggest days of your life should seek out Mindy Joy Photography. We are eternally grateful for her time, talent, patience, energy and her willingness to share her innate talent and brilliance with the world through her photography.

xing and fun. She captured great poses photos and so many fun candids that we will cherish forever. She somehow got so many ceremony photos without us even noticing her up there. She knows how to find the perfect places for photos ops and really uses light beautifully. Mindy Joy has exceptional communication with clients and makes your day perfect and stress free. The turnaround time for the photos on flash drive and print release was within two weeks. We love our wedding pictures.

le with our vision, but also very involved in suggesting ideas. Her direction was great, but she was also able to capture these candid shots that made for beautiful moments. The process was very comfortable and a lot of fun as she and her team are very down to earth. The turn around time was quick and our photos are gorgeous!

he event, and so much fun to work with on the day of - all of our guests fell in love with her, too! She got our photos to us very quickly, and they could not be more perfect. Mindy is the perfect mix of organized and laid back, professional and fun. I would recommend again and again!

he wedding, many previous brides were so quick to give their biggest words of advice-- "Enjoy it, it goes by too fast". They were right. The day absolutely flew. In less than two weeks (12 days, to be exact), Mindy delivered our entire wedding gallery to our email. Every single picture is perfect. They're unstaged, completely beautiful, and showcase our raw emotion. As most brides do, I poured my soul into the details of our day, ensuring each variable was totally and completely "us". Now, I have Mindy's gorgeous work to help me relive the perfect day, over and over again. Mindy is so fun, makes you completely comfortable, and has such unbelievable skill in capturing beautiful candid photos. She even held my hand and helped me through an emotional part of the day. I will cherish her work for the rest of my life. Send her an email. Do it. Sign the contract. Right now. It's the best decision you'll ever make.

around all day and with such an important job as capturing your wedding day- you need someone who is fun, friendly, professional, organized, and laid back. Mindy and her assistant were so fun to be around and the pictures turned out truly amazing. She captured emotions that we feel again every time we look at the pictures. Worth every penny. Hoping we can use her again for something!

htforward, covered all my wedding photography desires, and provided printing rights in the package price - a detail I did not find with other photographers. Mindy answered all of my questions quickly and helped me manage the wedding timeline. On the day of the wedding, Mindy wove herself into the wedding so she was not intrusive, yet able to photograph all the moments. She captured the small details of the wedding without even being asked, whether it was the guests’ emotions, the decorations, or the little glances between me and my husband. She continually communicated with me and listened to any special requests. At our location after the wedding ceremony, she used her experience and expertise to find unique locations to take pictures. All of my wedding party (12 people) individually pulled me aside to say that they loved Mindy; they loved that she was fun, willing to listen, and wanting us to be relaxed. I knew while taking pictures that the pictures were going to be unique, special, and natural photos. Wow, was I impressed when we received our pictures! I was blown away with how we could relive each emotion of the day. Overall, booking Mindy Joy Photography was one of the best decisions of our wedding. We now have beautiful, natural pictures that truly portrayed the spirit of our wedding. Thank you so much Mindy!

and let me tell you Mindy is SPECTACULAR! From our engagement shoot to our wedding shoot, we both knew that she was going to capture everything we wanted and more! Not only does Mindy capture the the most smallest detail in every shot, she tells a story with photography. I am so glad my husband spent hours finding Mindy, because she was the perfect person for the job. Mindy will go above and beyond (and even in water) to capture a shot. We are so grateful to have had Mindy by our side throughout our wedding and cannot wait for her to capture our future life events!

hotographer. My husband and I found Mindy Joy Photography by searching for local wedding photographers for Rockford. We looked through portfolios of several different photographers, but her work stood out. Mindy’s portfolio showed off her unique perspective, her creative eye, and the originality required to give each client a unique experience. We called and set up a time to meet, and we were blown away by how friendly and easy to work with Mindy was. The more we got to know her, the more we knew she would be the perfect person to help us capture our special day. Mindy is an expert at what she does—from the first meeting, through the planning process, and throughout the entire wedding day, she offers guidance and professionalism through out each step. She even helped us schedule our wedding day in the best possible way to use our time efficiently and to get all of the shots that we really wanted. Mindy went above and beyond what we could have asked for in our wedding photographer. She truly exceeded all of our expectations. She even laid down in a puddle to get a shot she wanted! You truly could not find someone who is more talented, dedicated, and passionate about her work. For us, Mindy wasn’t just the photographer. She was really a part of the wedding. She interacted with us, our wedding party, and our families with so much kindness and authenticity, and she truly captured our wedding day in a way we never could have imagined.
