We absolutely love Mimi's! We originally went for a tasting to have them cater our wedding and the experience was exceptional. It's an intimate and beautiful space and Mimi and Iskra were both so warm and kind and made us feel so welcome.
We ultimately went with someone who was familiar with our venue, but we loved them so much and knew we wanted to include their food, so we had them cater our rehearsal dinner! It absolutely did not disappoint, all of the food is amazing. It was a huge hit (even with the pickiest of our family members who went back for seconds/thirds) and we were so happy to share the incredible food with our friends and family.
Mimi and Iskra were a pleasure to work with and I can't recommend Mimi's enough!

While they have a wide range of options, if you are looking for a vegetarian menu, Mimi's Hummus is an especially excellent choice. We wanted to keep things vegetarian and vegan since we are both vegetarian, and we were so impressed with the number of dishes that were available.

We so appreciated the personal attention to detail and the very customized approach that Wen-Shuan offered us from the initial tasting through the event itself; she worked with us closely to make sure every detail was not only executed perfectly, but also right for our particular event, and she was flexible about the particular limitations of the venue we had chosen. The prices were very reasonable, and we felt expertly guided without feeling pressured. Our guests raved about the food, which was delicious and also well suited to a wide range of diets, and I can report the bride & groom happily ate the leftovers for a week. :) If I had to plan the wedding all over again I would go straight to Mimi's, no question.

and did a truly fabulous job from the initial planning stage right through to the event itself. We worked with Wen-shuan, their catering manager, and she provided amazing attention to detail and very consistent and proactive communication over a 9 month planning period. Always willing to make menu suggestions, adjustments and revise quotes, she also prepared detailed plans for seating, event flow, etc... We felt like we were in the hands of a true professional, which really helped minimize our stress leading up the event.
Mimi's was particularly great at customizing their menu to our guests' dietary needs (adjusting certain items to make them vegan, clearly separating/labelling dishes to accommodate allergies). Above all, their food is just so delicious. We appreciated that they specialized in a particular type of cuisine -- middle eastern/mediterranean, which we love -- and did it very well. Really tasty and varied options, but also not heavy, which was great for dancing that came later :) We had numerous unsolicited comments from guests raving about the quality of the food, which made us very happy. Wen-shaun and her talented staff ran the event incredibly smoothly -- everything regarding the food and beverages, and transitions between different parts of the event, was simply taken care of and my partner and I could just relax and enjoy the moment.

nt above and beyond my expectations through all of our communications. They handled all of my specific request with attention and efficiency. Jessica, in particular, was so easy to work with when I was devising my menu with its many dietary restrictions. Their menu is perfect if you have guests who are vegan and gluten free and plenty of choices for the meat eaters. If there was something that they didn't offer, like decorations, she found a way to provide multiple options for me. I highly recommend them!

They're such pros that I didn't even know the power went out in our garage where they were cooking until the next day! They worked it out. And the bar setup inside and outside was really beautiful and elegant. We couldn't recommend Mimi's more, and on top of it, Tess was a joy to work with throughout the days leading up to the wedding. ok care of all of the rentals and handled the rental requests from our DIY bar setup as well. All of the logistics were handled perfectly, and we were able to enjoy ourselves during the day of. Most importantly, the food was amazing! Everything was just as good as it was at the tasting, and we got lots of compliments on the food in the following weeks.

Secondly, they were able to handle all of the food, bar, rentals, and staffing so we didn't have to deal with any of it, and they had really reasonable (for NYC) prices on it all. Lastly, the food turned out so well! Coming from a middle eastern family, we were impressed by the quality and variety of this food. For a couple with lots of veggie friends and friends with special dietary needs, we were able to serve a delicious buffet that had interesting food for everyone without relegating vegetarians to the bland "veggie" option.
We would totally recommend you work with Tess and Mimi's if you can swing it!

- The Planning: Tess coordinated with us, she was very calm and clear all the way through the process, and patiently answered whatever questions we had, no matter how silly or small
- The Day Of: The food and staff arrived on time, and did exactly what was needed. No stress on our part at all, and the waiters were friendly and pro.
- The Food: very very good, everyone appreciated that it was something a little different than standard #weddingfood but it was cozy and hearty and even our most finicky relatives loved it.
- The Price: very affordable, especially in the world of New York caterers, where some won't even return your calls unless you lead with $200+ a head.
I'd heartily recommend Mimi's. The people there are very warm and down-to-earth and made us feel sane about our wedding. They delivered a really special menu at a decent price, and the food was one of the things our guests said they liked best about the evening. A real gem!

We loved all of the incredible food and drinks from Mimi's, and our guests gave us nothing but positive reviews for the amazing food and service throughout the wedding. Not to mention that we didn't find any other caterer that included as much service, or as great-quality food, for the price that Mimi's was able to offer. We could not be happier with our choice to use Mimi's for our wedding!

Our primary contact and manager for our wedding was Tess, who was incredibly helpful throughout the process She was always available and responded rapidly when we had questions. It was an absolute pleasure and stress free experience working with her! She was amazing at getting our vision and elivering an incredible experience the night of.
The whole team was amazing the night of, and absolutely everyone RAVED about the food and the drinks (from the coffee to the mixed drinks to the beer and wine that Mimi’s helped us select). We even had a few "I never remember wedding food, but I'm still thinking about the kebabs and the hummus!”:)
We also loved that we can now visit one of Mimi's restaurants around NYC for more delicious food that will remind us of our special day. This is very special.

ouse to help us plan the lay out and menu. Becca was enthusiastic about our ideas providing us with suggestions to enhance table arrangement and overall flow of the party. I met Mimi at the restaurant on Cortelyou and fell in love with her! She is a chef to watch! On the day of the shower, Becca, Mimi and another assistant came over the house with food, serving pieces, plates, large coolers for drinks, etc. and started working immediatelly. Quickly and quietly prodigious amounts of food were assembled, cooked and beautifully plated. The food was truly amazing:delicious, healthy and FRESH. I am still dreaming about the mackerel sandwiches. Dessert was scrumptious and clean up was quick and thorough. Without a doubt, Mimi and company delivered everything contracted and more. The bride-to-be and guests could not get over how delicious the food tasted. Thank you Mimi's Hummus for an unforgettable luncheon.

tastings through other catering services but none of them held a candle to Mimi's delicious food. We had several guests with restricted diets (e.g., vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.), and none of them went hungry or were disappointed. Mimi's staff was incredibly helpful through out the planning process, and we were able to cover food, wine, linen, and dish rentals within our budget. Our food was served family style, and the service was beautifully provided. Additionally, I hand-made the majority of my wedding decor, and Mimi's staff set up the room beautifully and exceeded my expectations. If you are looking for fresh and healthy food to provide and impress your guests, hire Mimi!

We felt like they were our partners in the event, and when it came to the day of, they took care of everything. They were also so nice and accommodating to our guests. They are wonderful people and total class acts. Highly, highly recommend.
