Mic was the photographer at our daughter's wedding and he was great! He is a true artist. Every photo was done to take advantage of the background and the people in the photo an...
d show it at its best! His prices are reasonable and his assistant also takes additional photo from other angles. We would use him again!
Mic was great to work with. After chatting with Mic and his wife Susan, my fiancé and I knew Mic was the right photographer for us. We had a great time working with Mic on our enga...
gement photos. They turned out amazing and he had them to us faster than expected. When it came time for our wedding, we knew that Mic would capture every moment and he did! From the bridal party getting ready to the groomsmen walking down the aisle - he caught all of the classic moments. It's evident in his pictures that his many years in the business are why he is so good at what he does. Hiring Mic Smith is the best decision we made to capture our wedding.
Mic and Susan have an eye for light and capture the best “moments” in your wedding. I’ve only seen the “first look” which Mic offers on Facebook, and I cannot wait to see the rest ...
of the photos. He was on time, professional, not bossy, and “hands off”. My family was worried he would be running the show but that’s not his style. As a “photo journalist” he wants you to act natural, do what you would normally do, and if he needs to you step back into perfect light he will let you know. Most of the time, you didn’t even know he was there. He and Susan follow up promptly with email requests, and he even took the time to fill out 30 questions I had to make sure I was selecting the perfect photographer. Well worth the money, you will be happy you went with Mic Smith.
We LOVED Mic, He was able to capture our special day exactly how we wanted. His pictures are the most bright, crisp, and vibrant pictures I have ever seen. Not too pushy, but stil...
l able to direct & create fun poses/pictures. Would recommend him to anyone!
Mic and his wife took great pictures at our wedding! It was a small venue and he managed to get intimate and large group pictures with ease. He took us for a walk down some histori...
c streets in downtown Charleston for our couple pictures and they are just beautiful. The pictures of the dancing and festivities are my favorite. Mic managed to fade into the background and catch wonderful candid shots that are timeless.
Mic and his wife Susan did a fantastic job capturing our wedding day! They were on time to get photographs of all the important moments from getting ready to the reception and eve...
rything in between. They were very personable and even gave my Mom a ride to the ceremony when we ran out of room in one of the vehicles! The photographs are truly outstanding and provided us with memories of a life time.
In my opinion, choosing a photographer (aside from the venue) is the most important decision. Mic Smith surpassed our expectations when he shot our wedding in May of 2012. We cho...
se him because we liked his photojournalism style and his ability to capture the moment instead of taking only staged photos. I think that he might be a bit of a magic man, because he was able to capture the emotion of each moment at the exact moment it happened. My grandmother could not be at our wedding due to health problems, but she said she felt like she was there because of his photos. He was very professional, reasonably priced, and most importantly his pictures were stunning. I’d recommend him to anyone and everyone.
Mic did a fantastic job on our wedding day and wedding day photos!! I am in love with awesome photography and photojournalism. After planning my wedding 600 miles away from Charles...
ton, I was able to find Mic's services online.
He captured every fantastic moment of our wedding day from the tears I shared with my father before walking down the isle to the anticipation of kissing my husband and being pronounced husband and wife.
We knew from the beginning that we didn't want a videographer and after receiving our pictures from Mic we were 100% correct.
My husband and I highly recommend Mic Smith and his team! My wedding would not have been complete with out his services!! He is our dream photographer and we look forward to using him in the future for family events and portraits!

Mic and his wife Susan were great to work with. They captured all of the special moments and we didn't even realize that he was there for most of them. The photographs that we took...
on the beach at sunset (per Mic's suggestion) were absolutely gorgeous and will be such a special treasure for years to come. My only regret of the day, was that we didn't hire him for a longer amount of time (we only did 6 hours). We were able to see our pictures on his website only a week and a half after the wedding! I would highly recommend Mic to anyone getting married in the Charleston area.
Hiring Mic Smith was one of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding in Charleston, SC. He photographed a good friend's wedding a couple months earlier and when I saw th...
e proofs I knew he was the best man for the job. He was PHENOMENAL! He took more than 400 pictures of my big day and managed to capture all of the most important moments. I don't know how he did it! He was professional, thoughtful and was a great asset who was able to provide suggestions of best background for pictures. Outside of taking breath-taking photographs, his pricing is amazing. I am blown away at what we received for his price. I would recommend him to anybody!
I would recommend him to anyone!
I absolutely loved working with Mic for our wedding. We were married 2 years ago in June and I am still getting compliments on our photos. I would highly reccommend using him! T...
he photos had a journalistic style but were timeless... not a lot of this trendy editing that is starting to pop up everywhere. They were truly one of a kind!
Mic and his wife Susan did a great job at our wedding. He was very easy to work with pre-wedding (which you will find is VERY important), and was also very quick to get back to me...
and answer all of my questions in detail. The day of, he did an amazing job of always being there to get the shots, but yet not in the way, in fact, we didn't even notice he was there, but he always was! He worked very hard to capture our memories and special moments and we were more than pleased with him. Would recommend to anyone!
