Walking into Mercantile for the first time and seeing our vision come to life is a feeling we’ll never forget, and we give all our kudos to Beth for bringing the vision to life! Everyone at Mercantile is so welcoming, kind, and informative. Beth is so responsive, easy to communicate with, and truly amazing at what she does. She gave us vendor recommendations which was also so helpful! The atmosphere at Mercantile is like no other! We couldn’t be more grateful to have had our wedding at Mercantile and want to relive the day over and over again! 

olutely amazing. She was professional, organized, and kept everyone informed and on the same page throughout the entire planning process. Her communication was excellent, and she was incredibly responsive whenever we had questions. What I also appreciated the way she presented ideas and options. She made sure we understood what was available without ever making us feel pressured. The venue itself is beautiful and worked perfectly for our celebration. We comfortably seated 165 guests indoors and only needed to remove a handful of tables to create a spacious dance floor. The outdoor ceremony was lovely, and the cocktail hour on the patio with the adorable Susannah bar created exactly the relaxed, elegant atmosphere our kids had hoped for. Burlington also turned out to be a wonderful location for our guests. There were plenty of accommodations and restaurants nearby, making it easy for family and friends traveling from out of town. As someone with a background in event planning, I tend to notice the details, and I can honestly say that The Mercantile exceeded my expectations. The combination of a beautiful venue, exceptional staff, and seamless coordination made the entire experience memorable. Planning a wedding can be stressful, and they eased some of the burden of that stress. We highly recommend The Mercantile to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It served as the perfect backdrop for a very special day, and we are so grateful to Beth and the entire team for helping make our family's special day absolutely perfect.

We received so many compliments on the little touches such as the gallery wall of photos leading to the main reception room (we used photos of our parents and grandparents weddings). Venue aside, our guests that stayed for the weekend absolutely loved the charm of Burlington and that everything was so close (hotel across the street, rehearsal at the local brewery down the block catered by the Italian restaurant at the end of the street, late night bar directly across from the venue for the afterparty). MH is really a destination more than a venue. We worked with a day of coordinator (Hi, Nicole!) who made the whole experience easy and as stress free as possible. She helped us with all of the steps and question along the way and was so sweet and down to earth. We really appreciated all of the staff that helped make our day wonderful. Would 100% recommend Mercantile Hall - I can't imagine a more perfect setting for the start of our married lives together!

The attention to detail that Mercantile Hall brought to the event was exceptional. The bridal suite was so wonderful for the girls to get ready. The photo ops were perfect-both inside and out. Having the wedding outside was gorgeous. The dinner set-up was quaint and beautiful. The space for the dance floor was spectacular. They truly had a perfect day!

urb garden.  We were lucky in April to have a beautiful day to get married outside. We also loved the feel of getting married in a small downtown area. Burlington has many cute restaurants and shops that are walking distance.  The staff at Mercantile Hall were so great to work with. Our wedding coordinator was Beth!  I am not someone who enjoyed making all these big decisions, and Beth was so helpful and made it easy. Mercantile Hall helps recommend lots of vendors in the Burlington area. Each vendor also helped recommend/ refer other vendors in the area. They all work so well together and put together a beautiful day.  First I got my wedding dress at Bon Bon Belle. They are located right above Mercantile Hall. I had a wonderful experience with them. On my wedding day, they helped steam my veil and had my dress hanging beautifully in the bridal suite.  For the wedding, I rented furniture and decor from Gertrude and Evelyn. Susan made the welcome room and head table area look stunning! Renting from her was the way to go! For floral, I worked with Toni at Gia Bella Florals. She was so easy to work with and everything turned out beautiful! Both of these ladies work so well together and have lots of experience at Mercantile Hall. I took a lot of their suggestions and let them do their thing! Highly recommend!  For dinner, we used Smokin Blues BBQ and did buffet style! 100% recommend Emmet and Rebecca! We got so many great compliments from our guests on the food! Everything was so delicious, but everyone raved about the brisket!  We used Mercantile Halls in house DJ! DJ Terry was amazing! He was so easy to work with and tried to make everything stress free for us! We had multiple meetings with him to make sure he had all details perfect for the big day! He truly made our day so special, from the ceremony all the way to the last song of the night! He is so fun and charismatic! He definitely kept the party going all night! I had so many of our guest come up to us during the night and said our Dj was awesome!  We were referred to have our rehearsal dinner at the Liars club in the Window room ! It is walking distance from Mercantile hall which is super convenient. The Liars club was a great place to grab a cocktail and the window room was a great room to host the dinner! We had Zumpanos cater our rehearsal. Everything was delicious!  We also ordered pizza from them as our late night snack! Super yummy pizza!  Lastly, we rented 2 of the nearby airbnb’s for the weekend: The Mart and the Nash! The Mart is the perfect spot for the bridal party to get ready in the morning! Lots of natural light for getting ready with  hair and make up and overall just a really neat airbnb. The Nash was also a super cool building. We rented the Hudson! Perfect spot for the groomsmen to hang during the morning. Both are walking distance to the venue! Also loved that the hotel is a block away from the venue for your guests! Everything is so close which made everything easy!  We had the best weekend and wedding day! We couldn’t have done it without all the staff of Mercantile hall and all the vendors! Thank you so much!

Our onsite coordinator was an *absolute joy and pleasure* to partner with throughout the entire planning process. She supported me every step of the way, and she was right there to hug me both before and after I married the love of my life. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made such a difference, and I can truly say I’ve gained a **lifelong friend** through this experience. And the DJ—just phenomenal. His energy and dedication to making our day the absolute best were unmatched. He brought all the vibes, all the expertise, and played the **best music from start to the literal finish** of our day. The entire celebration flowed perfectly because of him, and the dance floor never missed a beat. If you’re considering this venue, let this be your sign to book it. You’ll be cared for, supported, and surrounded by people who genuinely want your day to shine. We could not be more grateful ❤️ 

nd Beth, our planner, was absolutely incredible. She helped execute every detail of our vision perfectly and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. She coordinated with all our vendors, kept everything on schedule, and was such a calm and joyful presence throughout the day. We had an outdoor ceremony that couldn’t have been more beautiful — we received so many compliments on how stunning the location was! We did the highest bar package, which included a welcome drink and two signature cocktails, and added the apple cider upgrade — such a perfect touch for a fall wedding. The drinks were a huge hit with our guests, and they even created a special cocktail just for me as the bride, which was such a thoughtful surprise. Our guests are still raving about the atmosphere, the setting, and how personalized everything felt. We couldn’t have imagined a better experience. If you’re looking for a venue that brings your vision to life and makes your day effortless and extraordinary, this is the place!

nd usage of their outdoor games were overpriced and unmissed. However, things like the camper and the calligraphy that we did not use, were noticed by guests in a negative light. My husband and I had to explain that the camper can be used as an outdoor bar, but was also an heavy extra cost that we did not feel was worth. The unuse of the calligraphy, but instead there was a spotlight on a blank piece of brown parchment paper, and it felt very embarrassing. When these extras are in use, I am sure they are lovely, but when a couple cannot afford or choose that it was not their taste for the big day. The venue can lead to inexplicit shame for us not taking on the extra costs. - Coordinator/Point of Contacts Throughout our experience with Mercantile, we had three different people people being our coordinators/point of contacts. The first one my husband and I enjoyed professionally and personally. Due to maternity leave, we were very understanding as to why we were given a new person of contact. The second person, we were not as pleased with for different reasons. The larger issue that I had was during a coordinator meeting, between the venue coordinator, our personal coordinator (hired outside of venue), and myself. At one point, she began to show a list of things that are offered at the venue, but it was not said they would all cost extra until questioned. With a lot of anxiety already, I was almost in tears with embarrassment and shame when it was exposed that all of them were extra, starting at least $50 to 1,000 or more. I was quick to say to skip the list entirely. This coordinator was also inconsistent with response times, being from one hour to several days. At one point, we were having a conversation about the bar minimum after sending our final count. At first, it was over email and turned into a phone call. We had not met our minimum with 110 guests and had some extra money that needed to be filled. Over an email, I was told one number, and the phone call, she told me a much different number with an unclear reason as to why that was. At first, she gave us two possible solutions. Both of said solutions were either over budget, which a month until the wedding is not what any bride or groom wants to hear, OR did not serve all of our guests that could feel rude to those guests. We came to the solution of a bottle of wine for the bridesmaids and I got to the venue, the groom & men got beer when they arrived, and 11 cocktails during the reception for myself and husband "free" of charge. Somewhere with weeks until our wedding, the venue switched the coordinator for the third time. The reasons for this switch were never explained to us. This person, unlike the last, was very consistent and quick to respond with the majority of the time was under two hours. We did enjoy her brief work with us. Overall We adore our wedding venue and its beauty inside and out for the ceremony and reception. We enjoyed the freedoms we did have and the convenience of the location for both ourselves and our guests. Looking back, our biggest complaints would be the nickel-and-diming with extras, some of which we agree are overpriced. The second being the switching of points of contains numerous times, which other brides and grooms can only imagine the frustration.

. It was such an amazing day and a huge part of that was my venue coordinator Nicole! Nicole was such an amazing help & made me feel so comfortable and normal in wedding chaos! She was such a big reason my day went so smoothly and I couldn’t thank her enough. My MOH and I both had issues with our dresses & the amazing ladies at Bon Bon Belle attached to Mercantile Hall came over and stitched us up! Everyone was so so amazing all day! So happy we choose this venue!

Merc offers a lot of different services, such as their event coordinator package that we utilized (HUGE s/o to Stephanie!!) and in house DJ team and we liked having those services all in the same place. The team also worked great with our outside vendors and a lot of them had worked together before, so I really trusted their collaboration and eye to bring my vision to life. The Mercantile Hall staff is a well oiled machine and we were so impressed with the management of our rehearsal and wedding day logistics. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

We booked immediately, and our wedding planning journey would not have been as smooth as it was without their help. We went with the middle level coordinator package, and I would absolutely recommend this as well. We worked with Stephanie, and she ensured every detail was curated to perfection. She knew our entire bridal party and parents (20 people) by name, made sure there was never an empty glass amongst us all, kept my husband and I fed and clear from any hiccups, and made us feel like the most special people with her love and attention. On our wedding day, the entire staff gave this same energy. They were warm and kind to our guests, and had the perfect mix of blending into the background while also enjoying themselves and the party. Our day was PERFECT, and it would not have been possible without Mercantile and their staff. We love you, Merc! We went with Merc Sound because we trusted the Mercantile Hall staff, and we were SO happy with this decision!! We met with DJ Terry first, who spent time getting to know us as a couple, our vision for the day, and the soundtrack to all our important moments. We filled out a detailed workbook, and then he matched us with one of their DJs who fit our vision best. We were matched with DJ Levi, who was super upbeat and really understood our vision of the day. We knew we were in good hands! On the morning of our wedding, we got the news that DJ Levi had a family emergency, but DJ Gray (Nathan) would be stepping in. The DJs had met and spent time going over everything to make our day happen, and the transition couldn’t have been smoother. Nathan checked in with us often to make sure everything was right and key details were being hit. When the dance floor opened, he had a perfect blend of our wants and his creative and professional input. As the bride, he really let me run the show, and we came up with hand signals I could give him from the dance floor so he knew if I wanted a song skipped, to move on, or keep it going longer than the minute thirty timestamp rule we had given. Our dance floor was full all night, and we have Merc Sound to thank for that!

ing to the end! We had some hard times getting back to wedding planning after my husband’s mother passed earlier in the year and the Merc Team was right there supporting us with whatever we needed. They helped us create a beautiful memorial for her on the wedding day. ❤️ I cannot recommend their coordinator packages enough! The coordinator packages are worth every penny, and Stephanie, who stepped in as our coordinator within the last month or so, was a true dream to work with! She answered all of the questions I had and made my wedding vision come true. The in person meetings we had were always filled with laughter and definitely put my mind at ease through the planning process. It was nice to be able to discuss my vision and have their input on things. Stephanie did so much for us not just during the planning process but also the day of. She helped come up with a way to hang one of our pictures that was heavier than expected, made beautiful arrangements with extra items we had and even became a spontaneous seamstress when I needed her most! My bridesmaids and I loved the getting ready suite upstairs! It is a beautiful space, especially to take pictures and has tons of natural lighting! It was also very convenient to get ready there and have a big space to put all of our belongings and hang our dresses. Mercantile also has other add ons and in-house services that just make the day even more magnificent! We had the fire pit and s’mores and the hot chocolate! It was all so wonderful and made the day even better! The day of team was also a wonder to work with! I went down the morning of to thank them all for helping on the day and they were all so kind calling me a beautiful bride and congratulating us on our joyous day! They really helped make our vision a dream come true! We also used Merc Sound for our DJ, and Preston (DJ Alto) delivered a fun experience for all! In general, Mercantile Hall is a beautiful venue that we keep getting compliments on. It’s spacious but also gives an intimate vibe as well. The Merc Team made us feel like family and we are so happy we went with this venue!

She was so incredibly helpful for this type B bride who had no idea what she was doing! If you're on the fence about the coordinator package, do it! The extra meetings you get are so worth it and they set up your wedding beautifully. Can't forget the bartenders... I heard nothing but the highest praise for our bartenders throughout the night and even the weeks after our wedding. They were fast, nice, fun and made sure everyone was well taken care of! I can't say enough about this venue. They truly made my wedding day the day of my dreams ❤️

He did an excellent job at playing music that we suggested while keeping the dance floor full and making appropriate announcements as needed. We got the coordinator package through Merc and had Nicole as our day of coordinator. She was seriously the best through every step of the way including the in person and phone meetings we had with her throughout the planning process and all of the emails and questions that we had along the way. On the day of, they set up the venue exactly how I imagined it and everything was so beautiful. The bartenders and all of the other staff were also so amazing. Everything went perfect and I thank the Mercantile Hall team for that. Their communication and professionalism was 10/10.

My coordinator, Stephanie, took all my boxes of decor and even a box of random stuff I liked but didn’t know where to put it to use and turned my wedding into exactly what I was envisioning! Everyone went above and beyond down to creating my little brother a new boutonniere with my extra flowers because his was lost, and allowing me to use a welcome sign stand because mine wasn’t working! As the bride they really make sure the day is about you and there isn’t anything to do besides get married so we were getting drinks brought to us while we were eating, anything I needed to be held or to find they’d do it, answering my 100 questions an hour, and more! My coordinator also spoke to all my vendors and figured things out as needed which was such a stress reliever. I received SO many compliments on the venue choice and multiple people said it’s one of their favorite wedding locations they’ve ever been which is such a great compliment!! If you’re debating between The Merc and somewhere else you should 110% choose Merc!

was not what we were looking for. Mercantile Hall was the perfect blend of rustic, industrial, vintage aesthetics and it's nestled in the cutest small downtown. All of the staff we worked with went above and beyond our expectations. Stephanie, Jess, Levi, Eric to name just a few. We purchased the Premier Coordinator package and it was well worth the price! Our coordinator Stephanie had our decor displayed beautifully and kept the day running smoothly. Eric and the night shift team had everything packed up and ready to be picked up the next morning (part of the premier coordinator package). All in all they really gave us the perfect day and I am so grateful for Mercantile Hall and staff!

The add ons that my husband and I chose made the day extra special. From the bridal suite upstairs for my bridesmaids and myself to comfortably get ready in, to the outdoor camper bar, to having access to the bag boards and s’mores pit at the end of the night- no detail is overlooked and you and your guests are sure to have an unforgettable experience. ersonalize the space to make it feel even more special for you on your wedding day. We loved that our guests could stay inside and show off their dance moves or go outside for a quieter environment. All of the staff at Mercantile are so helpful and willing to answer any questions you may have while going through the wedding planning process. We had a perfect day and definitely would recommend Mercantile Hall to any future couples to celebrate their love!!!

what you want. We chose an outside ceremony which it turned out to be a beautiful perfect day and worked out beautifully. We also chose to have a heavy app "dinner", and not have guests in assigned seats - just an open flow which turned out fantastic. Mercantile Hall was extremely accommodating for this request and we greatly appreciated it. The venue is stunning and you can keep your decor to the minimal side, which is really nice. However, if you do choose this venue I highly recommend Gertrude and Evelyn - Susan was so wonderful to work with, had really reasonable prices and she does the set up and take down! Mercantile Hall also offered great partners for food (we chose Tuscan which was OUTSTANDING) and offered a lot of great idea's like flowermoxie for doing our own flowers, pizza partners in town etc. We also had an open bar, and although it was a little pricey - by a lot of these other options (limited decor, great food partners, doing my own flowers) we were able to fit it into our budget. The in house staff was excellent the day of and so accommodating. I did not have a wedding planner or day of coordinator and did it on my own with my best friend and groom and it did go smoothly. My only feedback was the in-house DJ which is why this didn't get a 5 star. There seemed to be no communication or review of what our plan was prior to the day of. We had an hour meeting about exactly what we wanted prior with the manager of the team, we also filled out a workbook, excel spreadsheet of exactly what we wanted and did not want and a word document and provided it to the team and the day of I was stuck answering very simple questions that were all laid out in those documents. While he was super nice and easy to work with - I thought for the price we paid for the in house DJ to play was extensive, I would have just created my own playlist and played it for what ended up happening. BUT it doesn't take away from how wonderful the venue truly is, I would just consider not doing the in house option.

We have received more compliments about the venue than you could imagine both during and since the wedding. 10/10 recommend getting the day of coordinator package. Racheal was our coordinator and I was blown away!! When I saw all of the decor set up, it was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. She was there for us every step of the way and responded to any questions we had in a timely manner. Racheal literally only had to ask me one question the whole wedding, otherwise she took care of everything and did it so seamlessly. Mercantile Hall staff also cleaned up all of our decor which is priceless. They even took care to wrap all of my vases and package everything so it wouldn’t get damaged on the way home. Trust me when I say that you NEED to get married here!

We just had a baby in March and she gave us a diamond ring shaped rattle and a Just Married bib for the baby! So cute!! All in all this venue is amazing and beautiful and I can’t recommend it enough!

The location of Mercantile Hall is perfect with many photo op spots in and around the venue, a lot of parking for all of your guests, and many hotels/short term rentals to stay at that are just blocks away from the venue. We have nothing but great things to say about the venue and their staff for helping make our day amazing.

My first impressions of Mercantile started before we even went on our tour. They sent us a confirmation the day of and told us where to park. If that was any indication of how well their communication is, I was impressed. Destiny was our tour guide, and then we were able to have her as our day-of coordinator, which she was FANTASTIC at! Halfway through the tour, I knew this is where I could picture getting married! It's the perfect space for an intimate wedding! The communication throughout the year was phenomenal, and any questions I had for Destiny, she answered all of them in a timely manner! She was so helpful! I loved all of the add-on options as well, which I know they've expanded since we toured. I loved that they were upfront about the cost of things and payments throughout the year! I'm so glad we added on the Bridal Suite - it's stunning and such a great room to have the entire day! Mercantile just really makes your life easier when it comes to planning a wedding! Our wedding still feels like a dream, and I cannot thank Mercantile enough for being so wonderful. Mercantile is a hidden gem! It was better than we could've ever imagined!

e already had planned with our wedding, and as soon as i toured Mercantile Hall, i knew this was the place we had to get married at. Racheal was our event coordinator and she was WONDERFUL! She communicated so well, answered all of my millions of questions, and made my vision come to life the day of better than i could have imagined. The way Mercantile operates made everything run so smoothly. I had SO MANY friends and family who are already married to make sure you scarf your food down cause you will barely eat that day and the day will go by in a flash, but i truly did not feel that was the case. My husband and i got our full meal, dessert, and even drinks. The venue is so beautiful and especially at night! I wish i could relive the day all over again. I could go on forever about how much i loved Mercantile Hall, as well as the experience of getting married here! I promise you wont regret it 😊

dinator, Destiny, was incredible! She was there for every step of the way with us & our day wouldn’t have been as amazing without her. She was professional, organized, & went above & beyond in so many ways! Every staff member was helpful & committed to making it a great day. We will always remember this day & are so grateful to Mercantile Hall & their staff for making it perfect!

to communicate with and flexible with my schedule when I was in town for additional tours and meetings. The venue is absolutely stunning and very thoughtfully laid out. It easily held our 125 guests without feeling cramped. The indoor space is beautiful with the old brick and wood; there are lots of options for customizing the interior to make it personalized to you. The outdoor space was my favorite and was perfect for our ceremony. The venue is also near several parks and other great photo spots for you and your bridal party. Their fees were on the higher side for venues that I looked into but they were transparent about pricing upfront (ie let you know about their service fees and minimums or if something was an upgraded cost - there were no surprise add on fees). With that being said, the Mercantile Hall team was excellent, professional, and made sure everything that day ran smoothly. We utilized their coordinator package, getting ready suite, bartender w/ Susana rental, and DJ; this really streamlined the planning process and all of them did an excellent job.

tly like the pictures online. But what really made our experience incredible was our Event Manager Destiny. I can’t tell you how easy she made the wedding planning process for us. My favorite part about working with Destiny was her extremely fast communication and organization. She responds to your questions quickly so you’re not sitting around waiting on answers. The planning process was straight forward, easy to follow, and clear. We are still getting compliments to this day about how beautiful our venue was. I would recommend Mercantile Hall to everyone! 10/10 experience.
