What truly sets Melissa apart, and what has made me be a client of hers for over a decade, is her overall presence. in every sense. Her calm, reassuring presence grounded me during the most emotional moments, and I genuinely don’t think I could have made it through the day without her. Her attention to detail is exceptional—she noticed things I never would have thought about and made sure everything was perfect, from the way my makeup photographed to how it held up throughout the day. My makeup was flawless, natural, and exactly what I envisioned. Beyond her talent, she brought a level of care, warmth, and professionalism that made the entire experience unforgettable. She made me feel confident, beautiful, and completely at ease. I’m endlessly grateful for her, both as an artist and as a friend. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

favorite make up artist in NOLA. Her talent, professionalism, and calming energy are unmatched. She has such a remarkable eye for artistry and precision and she knows exactly how to enhance each person’s natural beauty in a way that feels effortless, timeless, and true to who you are. Melissa actually did the makeup for my sister’s wedding nearly ten years ago, and to this day, Melissa can recall the tiniest details from that day which says so much about her care and attentiveness. She is deeply invested in every person she works with and it shows through her professionalism and the passion she pours into her business. Melissa is responsive, organized, thoughtful, and is always five steps ahead, anticipating anything that could arise so the day flows seamlessly. On my own wedding day, she was patient, kind, and so accommodating even when curveballs were thrown her way. She makes you feel as though you are truly a priority, not just the client of the day. It felt like spending the morning with lifelong girlfriends who were genuinely rooting for me.  I am so grateful to have had Melissa be a part of my wedding day. She truly went above and beyond in every possible way. If you’re looking for someone who is not only unbelievably talented but also genuinely caring and professional then I cannot recommend Melissa enough.

ht decision booking her for the wedding. She knew exactly what I wanted and made me look even better than I imagined on my wedding day. My makeup lasted all night and photographed beautifully. She also made getting ready so relaxing and fun for me and my bridal party. I would recommend her a thousand times over — book her!

erfect for every bride to be. On top of that, Melissa is so warm and charismatic that it makes the process of getting your bridal makeup done such a fun and sweet experience- really one of the most fun moments of my day! She also provided me with the perfect bag of mini supplies for touch ups to use throughout the day. I can't recommend her enough, and can't wait to get my makeup done by her time and time again!

p but also knew I didn’t want to do my makeup myself on my wedding day ( didn’t need the stress!). So I took to searching for an artist that would make me look like myself but was better. I happened to see Melissa’s work as one of her brides was featured on a wedding IG account and her makeup was stunning. I immediately set out to book and was able to get a trial run for my engagement photos. From the minute I walked into Melissa’s studio for my trial, she felt like my long lost friend. She knew exactly what I wanted and achieved the most perfect, airbrushed look of my life. I enjoyed time with her so much I ended up staying an extra 45 minutes just yapping. On my wedding day she arrived first and helped center me as the week had been very stressful given some weather situations we were not prepared for. She became friends with everyone in the room and did the most amazing looks on my mother in law and my mom. My mother in law has the most gorgeous blue eyes and Melissa made them pop and has converted her to wearing eyeshadow. She made my skin look like porcelain and gave me the best makeup look of my life. And my makeup lasted 11+ hours without a dent or smudge! Through tears, sweat, dancing and many hugs it looks just as perfect at 3 am when I went to wash it off as it did upon first application. Melissa is an amazing vendor and her artistry is top tier and she’s an amazing person to have in the room on your wedding day. Hire her you won’t be disappointed!

open to changes the day of — exactly the kind of artist you want by your side during a big, emotional weekend. Working with her was easy and fun. She brought calm and kindness into a very busy environment, always checking in on me when I was stressed, making sure I was comfortable and feeling my best. Her attention to detail and clear, professional communication made everything run smoothly, which meant the world to me. Beyond her warm personality, her talent is unmatched. She has a gift for enhancing your natural beauty while still giving you that elevated, glowing look every bride dreams of. Everyone was in love with their makeup — especially my mom, who couldn’t stop smiling about how beautiful she felt. Melissa is one of the best in the business, and I’ll continue to recommend her to every bride, event, or photoshoot I come across. I’ve found a trusted artist I’ll be going back to for years to come. Thank you, Melissa — you were such a special part of this big moment in my life!

consultation and completely understood the assignment! I felt like me but elevated. 10/10 recommend!!

earsal dinner and wedding day, Melissa delivered flawless looks that were exactly what I envisioned—actually, better than I ever imagined. Her talent is truly unmatched. One thing that really stood out to me was her deep understanding of photography and lighting. Melissa took the time to explain what she was doing and why, ensuring every detail would translate beautifully on camera. As someone who doesn't have a background in makeup, I really appreciated how she educated me throughout the process—it made me feel so confident and cared for. But beyond her artistry, Melissa brought such a calming, joyful energy to the day. Brides often don’t realize just how much time they’ll spend with their makeup artist on the big day, and I feel so blessed that I got to spend that time with Melissa. She felt like a lifelong friend from the start—easy to talk to, uplifting, and full of warmth. On a rainy wedding day that could’ve been chaotic, she helped keep me grounded and smiling. I’ll genuinely miss seeing her, but I already know I’ll be hiring her again the next time I need makeup in New Orleans. If you’re looking for a makeup artist who is not only incredibly skilled but also understands the bigger picture of how your look will photograph, and is an absolute joy to be around, I highly recommend Melissa. You will be so glad you booked her!

k circles I am super self-conscious about them and was worried about having my makeup done but, she had all the tools and I had nothing to worry about. My makeup has truly never looked better than on my wedding day! I cannot thank her enough! I was lucky enough to work with her again at my two sisters weddings! She is a gem of a human and the sweetest most caring person! It was such a JOY to get to work with her!

d for my wedding. She’s professional, always on time, friendly, and truly incredible at her job.

e first email we connected on. Not only is she so knowledgable, she really took the time to know exactly what me, my mom, and my mother in law were looking for. She just nailed it!

W!!!

. She is so professional and business oriented, yet she is also so much FUN and so kind! She is a friend to us now. She completely transformed us on our wedding days, but we still looked like ourselves. She has a true gift and is so knowledgeable in this space. You will not regret working with her. We cannot say enough amazing things about Melissa!!!

wanted but she made sure it stayed on all night!!!! She is truly so talented and I could not think of anyone I would have rather had do my makeup for my wedding!!! She is who you want for any big event (or literally any day you want to feel special)!!!!

e feel calm, supported, relaxed, and beautiful… before she even applied one thing. I don’t know if I would have been as present and relaxed as I was without her there. Oh, and my makeup!!!!! Perfection. I felt timeless, and clean, and like the prettiest version of myself. Also, I danced and sweated and my dress and shoes got ruined but my makeup stayed perfectly. Hire her. Don’t think twice . An exceptional makeup artist and an even more exceptional person

sweetest human who is amazing at her job. So many people consider themselves makeup artists but very few people truly are artists. Melissa is an artist through and through. She hears you out and understands the look you’re going for. She is someone you want on your side your wedding day especially if you’re looking for that classic bridal glam look on your wedding day. She made me feel like ME however more glamorous for the big day. Every photo I took that day I looked so glamorous and stunning. I could stare at my wedding photos for days. I am so grateful for Melissa’s amazing work.

For my bridal portraits, it was raining, and my makeup stayed absolutely perfect despite the Louisiana humidity and rain. The night of our wedding, my makeup stayed from the morning all the way until after the reception ended at midnight. I got so many compliments of my makeup, and that’s all thanks to her! She is the kindest soul who truly loves her job and helping everyone feel their best. She is truly a professional on every level and she is a master makeup artist! I can’t recommended her enough!

e on my wedding day. She always got back to me very quickly and is very professional. She also felt like a good friend and all the bridesmaids agreed. We had the best time with Melissa and I would use her again and again. Amazing and we learned so much about makeup so made it very fun for us. Love her!

did it flawlessly for my wedding and reception. I am still in awe of the job she did every time I look at my wedding photos. She is also so friendly and easy to work with. I cannot recommend her enough!

pplication had me feeling beautiful all night.

he was so professional and took her time with every application.

s to respond to every email in a timely manner and she answered ALL my questions before my big day. It’s difficult to find a MUA who is both professional and a true artist. Melissa made me feel GORGEOUS. I didn’t feel the need to change one aspect of the look she gave me for my wedding day. My bridesmaids looked stunning and we didn’t have one complaint among the group of (often critical/opinionated) girls! Everyone’s makeup held throughout the ceremony and 4 hour (sweaty) reception with no flashback in any pictures which astounded me. It’s hard to get a makeup that looks consistent in iPhone pictures, Polaroids, and professional pictures — but she did it! 12/10 recommend Melissa because she will listen to you and follow your vision to every detail. she’s worth every single penny.

ans heat without feeling heavy or cakey! Thank you so much, Melissa!

elissa managed to make me look like the best version of myself and I was so happy with my makeup! Just as important as her work in the chair, I watched Melissa go ABOVE AND BEYOND for my friend (the bride) out of the chair. She continued to serve after her duties were done, making sure everything was perfect for my friend. This extra work did not go unnoticed. Melissa is an absolute angel and any girl would be lucky to have her on their wedding day team. 10/10 reccomend Melissa Vaccaro!

nt is beyond comparison. She takes away all the blemishes/ flaws and effortlessly enhances your natural beauty and best features. She can also deal with a wide range of makeup styles and successfully achieve whatever style it is that you'd want. Melissa was easy to communicate with over email during my Covid wedding, and she just needed the details as early as possible before the big day in order to create the best POA. She was a very important piece to my wedding planning puzzle, and I would not have felt as confident on my special day without her. You will not regret your decision to have her be part of your day, too, and make you feel the most beautiful you have ever felt!

l, and friendly! She was such a delight to have there on my wedding day! I cannot recommend her enough to anyone planning a wedding (or anyone wanting their makeup done)!

gularly so I was nervous getting my makeup done however, she calmed me down and made me feel beautiful! I wanted to make sure I looked like myself on our wedding day but Melissa made me feel comfortable and assured me that everything will be okay and made sure that I loved the look. Coming from someone who was so scared and worried, I only had one trial and loved it. I went back for another event and then the wedding. highly recommend Melissa for any of your makeup needs. She is so talented!!! I will be going back!!!

a true expert in her profession. She is also super personable, kind and made the day so much fun! I highly recommend Melissa!!!

everyone feel welcome and comfortable while getting ready. I can’t recommend Melissa enough!

stened carefully to each woman's makeup preferences and made sure they got what they wanted -- for example, my mom likes very low-key makeup, and Melissa nailed it, while other bridesmaids wanted full glam, and she nailed that too! I felt so beautiful on my wedding day and my bridesmaids have not stopped talking about how it was the best makeup/glam they've ever had done (so many throwbacks posted on social media :) ). If you're looking for a professional, respectful makeup artist and just an awesome person to be a part of your wedding day, hire Melissa and your expectations will be exceeded!

ry careful about sanitation between each application. She takes her time on each person and makes sure that everyone looks their absolute best. When you are finished, you’ll look like the best, most awesome version of yourself. I loved my makeup applications so much I started going to Melissa for my eyebrows. I have a standing appointment to shape and tint them and I never miss. Melissa is not only great at the artistic parts of her job, she’s super friendly and easy to get along with. Great eyebrows and great conversations! Can’t wait to be back in the chair!

I’m not sure other makeup artists would do... she taught me all the secrets, tips, and tricks of wedding day makeup. She sat down with me and my makeup and taught me step by step how to do my wedding day glam. She not only did this for me but also for my mom who wanted to have an idea of how she’d like her makeup to look so she could relay that to the makeup artist at our resort. When I say step by step, I mean that. She took the the time and really cared that I understood and felt comfortable with all of the information. I felt totally confident with all of the guidance from Melissa and pulled off my wedding day glam all by myself. Melissa is truly a gem in New Orleans. Highly recommend over and over again.

out of the park every single time. Even on the days she had to do my makeup early in the morning, it stayed in place until I washed it off that night. She managed to give me full glam without ever making me feel like I didn't look like myself. Several of the ladies in my wedding party had never had their makeup done before and they all loved it so much. She's also incredibly friendly and so easy to talk to. I never felt awkward in her studio and when she was in my bridal suite, everyone loved her so much. She makes an effort to get to know everybody in her chair and it is so easy to just open up to her and I honestly felt like she was just a friend doing my makeup every time. Melissa also really cares about your skin, not just the makeup she's putting on your skin. She was always very sanitary. She considered your skin type before choosing certain makeup. She chose colors that worked best with your complexion. I knew I was always getting a custom experience with her. Do yourself and your wedding party a favor and hire Melissa. She will bring out the best in everyone and you'll enjoy getting to know her in the process.

ime. My whole bridal party looked so stunning, and the makeup looked effortless and beautiful in photos! Melissa is also so kind and the most professional. We loved chatting with her throughout the day, and she perfectly balances getting her work done while taking time to know the ladies. Melissa, I've never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day - thank you for everything!

amazing, and my makeup lasted 12 hours +. Sadly I had to postpone my wedding to November but I’m hoping she’s available this fall and will be booking her for any of my other events in New Orleans!

atever you have going on, Melissa cares so much about the outcome and you feeling good throughout. Her makeup applications are flawless! She keeps in mind the occasion and location and applies makeup knowing that you'll be taking photos all night, or sweating the night away. You'll always be so blown away by her makeup that you won't want to take it off at the end of the night. Book her for any upcoming events you have! Seriously.

eet and welcoming as well.

NOLA for a trial run, but she was still able to create the exact look that I had envisioned for the day. You will not be disappointed if you book her!!

ids loved their make up as did I. My fiancé even commented how great all of the bridesmaids looked. Everyone looked themselves but better. Feeling like yourself on your wedding day is important and Melissa can deliver whatever it is you need to help you look and feel your best. I only wish we lived closer to NOLA so I could work with her more often.

pricing. I've never been unhappy with my makeup, yet she always still makes me look like myself. Love getting my makeup done by Melissa!

th someone that is alway on time and efficient. She has a team around her that are equally incredible and it is obvious she took her time to hand pick and train each person to her standard of service. Some artists have one style they're good at, but Melissa is extremely well versed in anything I've ever asked her to do. I've never met anyone even remotely unhappy with her services. Contacting Melissa for your biggest moments will not be something you regret!!!

come of their look... let me tell you I had ten bridesmaids and EVERY SINGLE ONE of them felt stunning!! She had to bring two extra artists which honestly made me nervous because sometimes the extra artists are not as good, nope!! Melissa was orchestrating every look and her assistants were amazing. Some of my bridesmaids were even saying they felt prettier than they did on their own wedding day 😂 it goes without saying that I felt like Kim K myself. If you are on the fence about your MUA, stop and book Melissa!!

during my trial and on my wedding day. I also really appreciated that she asked for feedback and to review photos of the makeup from the trial in order to make any necessary tweaks. Melissa was the perfect mix of professional and warm. My bridesmaids and I had such a fun time with her while we were getting ready and we felt so beautiful. I couldn’t imagine not having you there with us! She is a true artist and her work reflects this.

de!
