Mclaughlin Photography

im was very open to our ideas and provided great feedback/suggestions. He even went to our wedding location a few weeks prior to scout out some great spots for photos and get an idea of when the lighting would be best, which was incredibly helpful as we were traveling from out of town (and the importance of lighting was one of the last things on our mind!). It was very comforting to know that we were working with someone with the array of experience Jim has. After a few conversations, we knew we were in good hands. Wedding Day: Jim seamlessly incorporated himself into the day's events where we barely noticed he was there, effortlessly blending in amongst our family. He was very flexible with our time schedule as we scrambled to organize ourselves, lent a hand (and an experienced eye) as we prepared the ceremony space, and was courteous of social distancing / COVID guidelines. He perfectly captured all of the shots we had requested, along with hundreds more, ensuring every moment of our wedding was captured from formal family photos to candid ceremony shots. Jim really paid attention to a few compositions we knew we wanted, making certain they were perfect and that we could leave knowing they would come out great. His creative eye captured exceptional photos in each area of the property which resulted in an array of different yet equally spectacular shots. Jim’s demeanor created a relaxed atmosphere - he had our family laughing allowing for real smiles to be captured, rather than those awkward staged ones. Post-Wedding: Jim turned around our photos in record time for us to review. He was very accommodating as we requested different edits (such as filtering and removing clutter from the background) and went above and beyond for those photos we knew we’d be looking at decades later. Jim is professional, responsive and was a calm, pleasant presence for this stressed-out bride. You will truly be missing out if Jim is not a part of your wedding day!

rom getting ready all the way to our bubble exit. He is super friendly and made everyone feel comfortable during portraits. We loved his awesome suggestion to take a group shot of everyone at our wedding and it is now a cherished image that we LOVE. We are so happy that we chose him to photograph our best day ever!

with young kids and snapped some precious pictures of our flower girls and ring bearer. He also does well with pictures of the elderly. We have some great photos of my husbands grandmother which we will cherish for years to come. We also loved the pictures he snapped of our guests and ended up sending everyone a picture of themselves from our wedding in our thank you cards. You get all your pictures on a flash drive which is very convenient for storage. Overall we were so happy we chose Jim as our photographer.
