disappointed that many of the music preferences we discussed beforehand were not followed. We provided a must-play list, along with plenty of examples of the type of music and overall vibe we wanted for cocktail hour, dinner, and the reception. Unfortunately, NONE of the songs or artists on our must-play list were played, and the music during cocktail hour and dinner did not align with what we had requested. We even had family members ask for the genre to be changed a few times because some of the music, such as rock songs during dinner, did not feel appropriate. While the music toward the end of the reception was better and got people dancing, we wish the music had been more consistent throughout the entire evening and that our requests had been taken into consideration. Given the price we paid, we expected a much more personalized experience and greater attention to the details we discussed beforehand.

g. We requested that the DJ wouldn't talk too much but didn’t even try to hype up the crowd and on the dance floor. We had guests go up to request songs and the DJ either didn’t play them or have them on his own playlist. Lots of guests were upset that their requests were not being played throughout the night. We only had 2 slow songs played back to back at the end of the night. Only the cupid shuffle was played and got people on the dancefloor (we did request this song), however there are multiple other group dance songs such as macarena which could have been played but were not.
The audio guestbook was disappointing as well, as it wasn’t communicated that we had to set a voicemail prior to the set up for guests. Our cocktail hour was from 4:30PM to 6:00PM. My husband and I didn’t get to the reception hall until 6:00PM then we were told to set the message. If this was communicated prior, we would have made time after the ceremony to have it ready for guests. At the end of the night half of the audio messages were from a wedding show and not even from our wedding.
We also had the mirrored photo booth, this was super fun and a lot of guests loved it! However, the flash drive in the photo album was empty. We also had a slideshow and monogram. The slideshow was perfect and loved all the transitions. Just a heads up with the monogram, if you do the slideshow, the monogram will not be shown until after the slideshow. DJ Jake and Photo Booth operator Dave were both friendly and nice.
After the wedding we contacted Pam with our concerns. She worked with us and resent the audio files and all of the photo booth pictures on flash drives. As well as refunded us for the audio guest book as we added that onto our package.

t with me with my questions and forgetfulness. We found out our DJ was Alex and had a meeting with him a week out from our wedding. Just from our phone conversation we knew he was going to be great. We even changed some stuff up 5 days before the wedding and he had no problem with it! The day of the wedding he was SO great. He was conscious of our do not play list. For the Father/daughter dance we danced to queen and went into AC/DC. Alex made it flow so well and told me to give him a nod when I wanted him to invite everyone else to the dance floor. It was perfect! The dance floor was packed the entire night and guests raved about it! Alex also came up to me at the end of the night asking what we want our two last songs to be and I’m so glad he did. We were able to share one last song with all of our friends surrounding us. Alex made our day absolute perfection. If you can, request Alex for your DJ!!!

I got a lot of complaints from my guest about the rude comments he made and I was also told that he was not engaging with the audience or entertaining in anyway. The photobooth was such a hit! Honestly that never stopped having someone in it. It was probably the biggest hit at my wedding. We got the "Magic Mirror" booth and it was so easy and fun to use! The photobooth stayed open all night long until the end of the wedding and even at the end the photobooth guy was taking pictures with us!

After our first few attempts at communicating with Matt's DJ Service, we were a little worried about booking with them. We had some questions about costs, booking, etc and emailed ...
them to get the answers. Instead of answering the questions, we were directed to look at their website. This was not a helpful response because we had already viewed it and that was the reason we had lingering questions. We tried to call for clarification and got a similar response. We felt like we were kind of pushed off because we only wanted a DJ for our wedding and didn't want to book a full package with a photo booth, lighting, etc. Eventually we did decide to book because we were running short on time and Matt's DJ was recommended by our venue. I'd be lying if I said we weren't a little worried and didn't know what to expect because we had such a hard time with communicating when trying to book! However, when our wedding date came closer, our DJ (Dave) contacted us for our consultation and put all our worries at ease! He was amazing to work with! Dave was open to all our ideas (we wanted to have a surprise bridal party dance), listened to what we wanted to play/not play and even had some great suggestions. After our phone consultation we were so relieved and knew everything would run smoothly on our wedding day! When the day arrived, Dave went above and beyond our expectations. We had some last minute changes to our bridal party (3 people had dropped out so we had to rearrange) and Dave was flexible with everything we threw at him. He did a great job letting our guests know what was coming up and was willing to jump right in whenever we wanted an announcement made or a change to the schedule. Dave played a big part in making our wedding day better than we could have imagined. We can't thank him enough! The only reason I gave them 4 stars is for the frustration prior to booking - otherwise Dave would have earned them a 5! So if you are looking for a DJ, book with Matt's DJ, but make sure you request Dave!!
