I had come across Martin McCrea Couture years ago as my top choice for a wedding dress. When I got engaged, I was excited to start the process of ordering my dress. Ordering fabric...
samples is easy and is a nice way to see just how gorgeous and high quality the fabrics are. I knew I would need a custom size for my petite frame, and Marty was easy to work with in helping me with sizing. The dress was ready quicker than I'd expected and fit perfectly. Her styles are beautiful and timeless--perfect for my simple yet elegant wedding vision. After all those years of dreaming of a Martin McCrea wedding dress, I wasn't disappointed with my choice.
Marty was so incredibly compassionate - when a design didn't work out because the silhouette was just not as flattering for my shape, a new one was suggested and sent for me to try...
. Marty's designs feature romantic lace embroidery, ethereal sleeves, and a timeless silhouette. One thing I forgot to mention an another site where I reviewed Marty - despite the reviewer below, Marty was nothing but professional, prompt, and an absolute delight to work with.
Martin McCrea was extremely unprofessional and put me in a huge bind. In an email she had said she will ship out the dresses tomorrow. A week later I tried to contact her but she i...
gnored me. I tried contacting her again 3 more times and they were all ignored. 3 weeks later I finally heard from her and she never sent out the dresses.
This whole situation with her became extremely stressful and now I am in a huge bind because of her unprofessional ways of doing business.
Just be careful. I went through alot of pain and I would not want to see any brides have to go through this.
I couldn't find what I was looking for at any of my local bridal shops. I was very reluctant to order my dress online but finally decided that it was the only way that I was going...
to get what I was looking for. I contacted Martin McCrea and they sent out the dress the same week. It was little big so I had it pinned and mailed it back. I received the dress back within a month and it fit perfectly. This was an excellent experience and I received so many compliments on the dress.
Marty is a truly inspired designer. She has great dresses for brides who don't want to look like an ice cream sundae. And if you live in Tucson you can call her and go by the sho...

My dress was PERFECT!!! I was very hesitant to order a dress online but would not hesitate to order again from this couture. Marty communicated with me and my dress fit me to a tee...
, as if I had tried it on at a shop. So many peopl commented on how different and beautiful the dress was. It is beautifully made and I know I will be able to wear it again.
I can't express how perfect my dress and experience getting it were. I wanted a southwest/Kill Bill/Tombstone type wedding, but still wanted a classy dress (vintage just wasn't wo...
rking out...too many long sleeves). I'm from the East Coast but had my wedding in Arizona b/c I love it there so much. So I searched online for dresses in AZ that might have a vintage/western feel. One of the first ones I saw on Martin McCrea's site is the one I actually got. I LOVED her designs so I scheduled a visit to Tucson to try some on. Her shop is basically a design studio b/c she does most biz online (with a GREAT return policy BTW). Fabric, dresses, sewing machines everywhere, but totally cute and a nice lil area for me to try on stuff. I ended up with a classy/somewhat modern simply dress and a beautiful english lace over coat that gave it the western/vintage feel. I bought a size 'small' and it was perfect, the only alteration I needed was a $20 strap adjustment that I did back home. Selection is just right for someone who knows what they want, I think I tried on 5 dresses and my first instinct won. Needless to say everyone loved the dress and coat and I got so many compliments. This style might not be for everyone but if you like what you see on her site go for it! You don't need to go to Tucson to buy, order online! You'll also see that her prices are great!
I had an issue with my first dress and with 3 weeks to spare I contacted Marty to make me a custom "Emma" Dress. She was backordered on the lace for that style and suggested the "E...
ssence Dress" She stayed on the phone with me until she had my exact measurements.. and as promised it arrived in 3 weeks.. a week before my wedding. I felt so beautiful and so proud to have such a custom couture dress from Martin McCrea. The dress made me feel like a 1940s vintage bride. It was so beautiful with the most beautiful lace. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Marty!!!
I was so thrilled with the constant contact they were with me, and purchasing a dress on line is a challenge. But when the day it arrived, I tried it on and was so delighted, exci...
