Our wedding day itself was truly beautiful, and overall we had a good experience that I don’t want to take away from.
That being said, communication leading up to the wedding was a...
real challenge. Responses often took days, and at times even months, to receive. As we got closer to the wedding date, even my hired wedding coordinator had difficulty getting timely responses, which added unnecessary stress during an already busy time.
On the wedding day, there were also several service issues. One table was not served cake, and we later found that cake was being eaten by servers in a back room. Is that normal? We also requested that our dinners be boxed up since we had very little time to eat, but our meals were instead thrown away. The servers also threw many of our party favors away while people were dancing. And they also removed their drinks 30 minutes before closing time off their tables. These drinks people had gotten to come back to after dancing. Additionally, the Bundt cakes we provided and stored in the venue’s fridge were never served.
We also had a complimentary hotel stay, which we appreciated, but there were issues there as well. The first room we were placed in had no working fans, and when we were moved to a second room, there was no warm water for the shower.
I’m sharing this in hopes it is helpful feedback for improvement, because I do believe these are things that can be addressed to ensure future couples don’t have the same frustrations. No bride should feel disappointed or stressed about details like this on her wedding day.
Overall, I am choosing to focus on the positives and not let these issues overshadow the experience we had, which was still a good one.

l. It felt like my wedding was just as important to her as it was to me. She also made me feel very comfortable and she was so down to earth and felt like family. Everyone at my wedding yesterday had messaged me after and told me how amazing it was. They set up our decorations for us, set up and set down everything. The food was amazing! the bartender Craig was an absolute gentleman and made sure I (the bride) and my mom got our last drink. We even danced together on the dance floor! He also was so awesome to everyone and also when the groom came up he greeted him with a smile and told him that he was waiting to make him a drink all excitedly. It was so sweet. The staff truly were amazing! J.C. was so sweet and was in charge of setting up the decorations and truly was so charming and sweet. She helped make the room gorgeous and left my mom feeling relieved. Between Emily, J.C., and Craig! It was awesome! Also shoutout to DJ Donny! If you haven’t booked a DJ please book him!
P.S…. Emily went out of her way to thank us for booking with the Marriott and surprised us with sweet treats, champagne, a heart made with flower petals on the my bed, and she also got me Disney bride ears because she paid attention to the fact I love Disney! She is INCREDIBLE!!!
Beware of this hotel and stay far away! We used this hotel for our wedding block and for our bridal party to get ready in. They were very difficult to work with and impossible to g...
et answers from through phone or email. The hotel itself? DISGUSTING. We were from out of town so couldn't see it in person before hand but when we pulled up for our wedding weekend, we were SO embarrassed that our guests were going to be staying here. Especially at the price that they paid for it. We felt horrible and it was too late to do anything. The entire place reeked of mold and water leaks. Everything was outdated and the buildings themselves were very confusing. None of our wedding block stated near each other, there were rooms all over the place and even in different buildings. One building was so far away it was a few miles down the street! What made this far away building even worse was there was no lobby or anyone that worked there, if you had an issue (which we did, we were locked out of our room with the wrong key) you have to wait at least 30 minutes for someone from the main building to come help you. The workers have no sympathy or a care in the world. The restaurants and bars all close very early and there is no common space to hang out in (without getting kicked out by the staff) Marriott should be ashamed to put their name on this hotel! STAY FAR AWAY.
I just got married here on 5/15 after my original venue canceled on us less than 2 weeks prior. They say everything happens for a reason and I believe it because our experience fro...
m beginning to end couldn’t have been better. We are from NY so we went into this whole thing completely blind. Candice Miller is an actual godsend who helped us pull together our brand new wedding in such a short time, and made the wedding itself, and everything leading up to it at the hotel, go smoothly and beautifully. The entire hotel staff and property were also so helpful, friendly, and accommodating to our party of 60+ guests who stayed at the hotel for the wedding week. We had our ceremony on the beach at the Sandpiper (1/4 mile away from the main property) and then an outdoor ceremony on the lower patio of the main hotel pool deck. It was such a blast and our guests raved about everything and couldn’t believe how we pulled off such an amazing wedding in such a short time. I can’t thank Candice and the Marriott staff enough for making our wedding so great!

e to any questions or requests throughout the planning of our wedding reception. Candice made our wedding experience one we will never forget! Every detail of our wedding was well organized and beautiful! I highly recommend this hotel for a wedding or any venue needed! Thank to for Candice and the rest of the team at Marriott for all your hard work and for making our experience so wonderful!!!

king with to plan their special day. She was so easy going and ALWAYS helpful. We saw her a few times over the weekend of festivities and she was always lending a helping hand... even when it wasn't her duty to. I thought she was WAY better than the wedding planner they had hired.
Food was good, staff was always pleasant, rooms were much nicer than expected. I attended prom here about 12-14 years ago and I will say that the event space and furnishings are a little outdated. The rooms seemed like they had been updated.
Great resort overall for a beach wedding offering many things for guests to do.
From the beginning of planning through the day of the wedding, Lindsay Parkin and Candice Miller have been a huge help and a pure joy to work with. They answered a million question...
s and handled everything from sea glass on the tables, to last minute room changes and complete change of locations at the very last minute. Originally planned as a Beachside ceremony and reception on the Covered Terrace, really bad weather moved in and these two and the team at the Marriott moved so swiftly - we were utterly astonished! Our indoor event spaces were gorgeous and our wedding was a huge success! Friends and family gathered at the resort over the Wedding Week from all over the country and the entire resort staff is very welcoming and friendly. We all just had an absolute wonderful stay and event. We are so very, very pleased!

ally was in and out as we were setting up the room, and she was super helpful and friendly. Our servers, Linda, Sue, Maria, and Denise were fantastic during the reception. If a problem arose, they handled it quickly and with great service.
I will say that the weekend was not without its issues, but whatever issues did arise were handled quickly, efficiently, and friendly. The staff at this resort is unbelievable. Everyone was friendly, 100% willing to help, and never batted an eye if I was a little frazzled and anxious about any problems during the course of our wedding. The staff is what made this a 5-star review rather than a 4-star.
I just want to mention two issues we had:
First quite a few of our guests had a difficult time finding their way to the beach ceremony. We were told there would be someone helping to point guests in the right direction, but that didn't happen. We had friends reading during our ceremony and they nearly missed it because they could not find their way from the hotel to the beach. Signs pointing the direction would be a big improvement.
Second, we had our welcome dinner on the covered patio, which was beautiful. However, there was no real separation barrier to alert other hotel guests that this was a private party. They had two signs, but the area was so large and open that strangers kept wandering in and out. The hotel staff was great at letting them know they had to leave, but it meant that we kept having to stop what we were doing in order to let the staff know that someone needed to be told to leave. Perhaps in the future they can rope off that event area, as it was not cheap to rent and we expected a bit more in terms of keeping it separated. I will say, Sue the catering manager was absolutely fantastic in helping us to remove unwanted guests. She went above and beyond!
Overall, this was a beautiful place for our wedding weekend and I feel confident that we will return to celebrate anniversaries in the years to come.

nue to the day of! on the day of my Wedding the hotel was very organized and anything that we needed the staff was very helpful. I would recommend this location for a perfect wedding! the location is beautiful, if you are wanting a beach ceremony.
I got married in November 2014 and held our wedding reception at the Hutchinson Island Marriott in Stuart, FL. Candice was my main point of contact there, and she was fantastic! ...
A super positive, professional event planner, Candice was extremely responsive and helpful whenever I had a question or budget issue. The serving staff was also very friendly and responsive to our guests' needs. The food was better than typical wedding food; we had a choice of vegetarian, chicken francese, or fresh catch mahi mahi. Everything was as we hoped and I am very happy with the Marriott.

like a VIP. Wedding staff before, during and after were amazing. Had a 'glitch' in the post-event billing but it was resolved. So make sure you double check everything. Any request made the weekend of the event was done quickly. I want to re-do it all over again and I wouldn't change a thing!!
THEY DID A GREAT JOB! IT WAS ALL AND EVERYTHING I PICTURED!!
beautiful location. great quality and service.
I used one of the wedding packages that includes a sit down dinner, cocktail hour, and several vendors for one low price per guest. The service was amazing, the setup was flawless ...
and the bar served excellent drinks! Everyone commented on the location and it was really convenient to have guests book their room right there without having to drive from the reception :) LOVED IT!
I got married in Stuart, but did all the planning from San Francisco. Most of our wedding guests came in from out of town, so we knew we wanted to reserve a block of rooms locally....
Having grown up in Stuart, I knew the only option in town for nice hotel was the Hutchinson Island Marriott. I wanted out of town guests to have the real Florida beach experience, and that is exactly what the Hutchinson Island Marriott provides. The group sales coordinators Sharon & Annette were very helpful and had our room block reserved very quickly, and allowed me to do all the planning over the phone making it easy for an out-of-town bride. They provided a discounted rate, and an online link for guests to use for reservations. I also reserved an oceanfront suite for myself and some of my bridesmaid for the night before/morning of the wedding and for my husband & I on the wedding night. The oceanfront suite was beautiful with a wrap around porch and panoramic ocean view. The service was excellent. When we arrived at the suite on the hotel night there was a bottle of champagne on ice and chocolate covered strawberries with a thank you note from Annette & Sharon. I would highly recommend this hotel for brides/grooms and for guest room blocks!
I was impressed with this hotel from the beginning, but as our wedding day got closer, they were even more amazing that I could have imagined for the following reasons:
1)To beg...
in with, I was planning my wedding from Texas, so Amanda was very accommodating when I could make the few, short visits out to discuss plans.
2) They worked with our budget and made a fabulous menu. The food was delicious! I also loved the waiters and waitresses. They were professional, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to be a part of our special day.
(The total budget was $15,000, and we ended up with about 1,000 left over).
3)The staff was wonderful to my guests. Everyone was from out of town, and we blocked of lots of rooms. Everyone felt like they were well taken care of
4) The ceremony was planned for the beach, and I refused to worry about the weather. Fortunately enough, the staff was watching the weather for me. Without my knowing, they set up a backup room for the ceremony because a huge thunderstorm was rolling in. We were able to have a quick ceremony outside before running back to the hotel for the reception.
5) Our outside tables got soaked, but the staff made a great space in a room down the hall from the main banquet room, and everyone was able to stay nice and dry. Once again, they did this without my even knowing!
6) Once the reception was over, and my husband and I headed to our suite, the hotel staff made a special space with chairs and tables outside under an overhang where my family could continue to visit.
7) They did all the clean up! I was incredibly worried that my poor parents would be stuck doing all the cleaning, but our decorations and everything were placed neatly back in the boxes they came in, so all my parents had to do was put it in the car and head back to North Carolina.
Thank you so much, Marriott for all of the hard work you did. You probably did even more than I mentioned here, and I don't even know about it.
