Makenzi Laine Professional Makeup Artist

nlike myself. Makenzi made me look and feel my most beautiful-self; she doesn't alter the way you look but truly enhances features and how you look naturally. Thanks for making me look and feel my best, Makenzi!!!

oms, grandmas, and bridesmaids- was so pleased. She did my hair and make up for the rehearsal and wedding and I felt so effortlessly beautiful and still comfortable both nights. She listened and understood exactly what I wanted even though I wasn't the best at articulating it and she was such a joy to work with. Could not recommend her more.

mom, and my husband's mom, as well as a bridal hair & make-up trial beforehand. Makenzi and the staff she collaborates with are so meticulous and do everything to make each person feel beautiful. She is inclusive of all hair textures, skin complexions, and genders. My mom was nervous to have her hair/make-up done since she doesn't often wear make-up. Makenzi and her staff took such great care of her, and now my mom can't stop raving about the experience. As a bride, I was looking for a vendor who highlights natural beauty and elegance. I have a fair complexion, so I try to avoid heavy contour and strip lashes and often have to be careful not to overwhelm my face with color. Makenzi created a look that was equally stunning in-person and on film. She matched my skin tone perfectly, knew to use taupe rather than blonde for my brows, took the time to apply individual black/brown lashes rather than a strip lash, nailed a soft orange-red lip, and created the most elegant chignon despite my crazy layers. I felt so beautiful and truly myself. Highly recommend!!!!

put together. She is also the kindest person and so much fun to be around - I had the best time with her at my trial/rehearsal dinner/wedding day!! She is truly the best - I highly recommend!

that had women's freckles still visible with light foundation on. From her portfolio, I basically knew she would be great, but she was still happy to do a trial for me before booking, and since I didn't live in Austin while wedding planning, she was willing to do the trial on my friend. My friend (who is an esthetician and knows a thing or two about beauty) was raving about Makenzi through text during the trial. When I did my own trial closer to the wedding (9/24/2022), she was wonderful. We actually spent 3 hours chatting! (But don't worry, she is punctual and on-time during the wedding day without feeling rushed at all. We just had a great conversation during the trial haha) Makenzi made sure to let me know that she could make any changes to the makeup or hair that I wanted, even if I made the changes on the wedding day. She is happy to make you look the way you want to look on your big day. She calmly and happily did my eyeliner 3 times to make sure it was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better makeup and hair artist and I would highly recommend Makenzi Laine for your wedding!

one looked natural or glam depending on what their preference was but the key component is that they all still looked like their beautiful selves. There were some folks in our party with anxieties about hair and makeup but Makenzi eased all of those and everyone left feeling and looking amazing. I had Makenzi do my hair and makeup for a trial, rehearsal dinner, and wedding day. Each time was so amazing and exactly what I wanted. I ended up deviating from my trial hair on wedding day and Makenzi was so calm and flexible about changing it. We also did something a little funkier for the rehearsal dinner and she was just as up for that as she was for my more natural look on wedding day. I truly have never felt more beautiful and the makeup looked so good in photos! Loved her so much and highly recommend.

usually wear a lot of make-up and my concern was looking like it was caked on). They nailed my look and exceeded my expectations. Not only that, but every single bridesmaid was BEYOND thrilled with their hair and make-up. And they weren't sugar coating it for me. We were all over the moon and felt confident and beautiful. We did have a seasonally hot wedding day and this team was so great at touching us up last minute and selecting make up that would last. I was drenched by the end of the night and my make up looked honestly, too good! I highly recommend booking Makenzi and her team for your special day!

mpathetic to my situation. She wow'd me in our trial, but somehow the final product on the wedding day was even more amazing. I have never felt so beautiful and got so many compliments. My husband thinks he doesn't like a lot of makeup, but he was in awe. Not to mention the hair was absolutely flawless - and she read my mind in giving me exactly what I wanted without having a clear idea myself. Do yourself a major favor and book Makenzi!!

essional artists were amazing! I would highly recommend Makenzi and her team to be your hair and make up artist!

. I would highly recommend her for anyone who wants to look amazing on their wedding day/rehearsal dinner!!

wedding day and for various preceding events. She’s also a sweetheart and I suspect her empathy allows her to connect with what her clients really want, rather than plastering on a painted face. Best in the business!

e the absolute perfect hair and makeup for our wedding that was natural and beautiful. I received so many compliments for it. My hair and makeup stayed all day with a very windy day! Highly recommend makenzi and her team! She has such a special gift and very talented. Her and her team were also so fun to be around the day of the wedding

re commenting on how much they loved their makeup and hair compared to other weddings they’ve been in. They were so kind and fun and handled our motley crew very graciously, hahaha.

re of me, my mom, sister in law and cousin so professionally and made us look and feel gorgeous! I loved how light weight my make up felt and how long it lasted. I was so in love with my hair style that I hated that it needed to come down eventually (lol)! I would pick Makenzi over times over to be apart of my big day. She is very talented, knowledgeable and delivers "Quality" work! She was/truly a gift! . You WILL NOT regret letting Makenzi be apart of your big day....I promise! Thank you!!!!

up done, and she took the anxiety of that right out of me. She's a true artist!! We did a trial together which allowed me time to really think about what I wanted. I felt so comfortable in her hands, and come wedding day I was just walking on cloud nine. I will refer her forever! Highly recommend <3

ot to work with her twice for my bridals and on my wedding day. I LOVED my hair for my bridals but ended up making a last minute change on the day of to keep my hair out of my face a bit more. She was so adaptable and kept me at ease on the day of! Also, she's just soooo friendly. Book Makenzi for your wedding!

enzi celebrates everyone’s uniqueness and highlights it for the better. I LOVED my wedding hair and makeup. Makenzi is beyond sweet and professional. She makes you feel so beautiful in your own skin. tures, and dancing. She is also so kind, professional, and fun and put me at ease during my wedding day. Can't recommend her enough!

and has a wonderfully calming spirit about her. I would highly recommend Makenzi to anyone for anything, Thank you!

ll five of the other women in my party were thrilled with theirs as well. And they are a tough crowd to please! It was important to me to balance feeling like myself, but also wanting long-last makeup that would photograph well. Makenzi nailed the natural look. Her perception and kindness make her so incredibly good at what she does! This woman will bring so much joy and ease to your wedding day.

ay, with the flu causing insane dryness, and my period coming and causing a terrible breakout. I was convinced I couldn’t possibly feel beautiful, and cried to my fiance and best friends about it. Enter: Makenzi. She made me feel like myself again, and no one could tell I had the flu or any breakouts. I felt so beautiful and felt like myself - like the positive, carefree, and NOT vain woman my fiance wanted to marry! I was so impressed with her talent and her understanding of my insecurities. I can’t say enough about her! I found her because I fell in love with the makeup at a friend’s wedding, as the bride and bridesmaids looked flawless. They still looked like themselves, no cakey foundation or overly done eyelashes, but just looked beautiful and radiant. I booked her immediately for my wedding the following year. Her prices are comparable to any artist, but her skills are far above! My bridesmaids and mom were ALL happy with her and her team’s work. She brought in three additional artists to help out, as we had 11 women to get ready. Wow did she choose a great team! They were all friendly and incredibly talented. I had my dog with me and they were all animal lovers, too :) BOOK HER!

r stories about brides and bridesmaids that have had to totally redo their hair and makeup. Makenzi was amazing!!! All of my girls look beautiful and so did I! She is a true professional and very good at what she does! I could not have been any happier. Thank you for helping making my day perfect!!!

he first time I wasn't self-conscious of having my photo taken but everything stayed put the ENTIRE night. I received so many compliments and my husband who claims to hate makeup was a fan as well. She is talented and probably one of the nicest people in the world as well. We had a good time during what could have been a lot more stressful part of the day, pre-ceremony prep, but Makenzie was sweet and accommodating if I had to jump out of the chair to go handle something. If I ever need professional hair and makeup again, I'm not going anywhere else.

tanding what I wanted and making it happen. She also did an amazing job on my hair! Highly recommend.

t, but she is also a great listener and was an absolute delight when it came to having help for getting ready for my big day! Thanks Makenzi :-)

engagement photos and on my wedding day. She listened to what I wanted and gave me a unique look. I cannot rave enough about her.Definitely book her for your wedding day!

this mom feel lovely. She got me to wear false eyelashes, as I have so few, and I was so worried they looked fake! No one knew! My hair lasted for days. My family said I looked like I hadn’t aged. Makenzi is both talented and sweet! Highly recommend her!

ng too much on, but we all felt really natural with just a little glam and photo-ready feel! Makenzi really listened to what we wanted and nailed it! She also has the best vibe and I felt like she was just another of my girlfriends hanging out. Highly recommend Makenzi!!

to what I was going for and happily made any changes as we went along. The morning of my wedding, she was such a calm and peaceful presence as she helped get me ready! On a morning that could be very stressful, I felt totally at ease that I would look my best and I could trust her. I completely felt I still looked like myself even though I don’t wear much makeup on a daily basis - Makenzi gave me the perfect natural glowy look. Not only did I feel amazing and confident on the day, but I also loved how my hair and makeup looked in our pictures! On your wedding day you want to feel your best and Makenzi made the process for me so easy and stress-free. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a hair/makeup artist for their big day!

did my H&M trial, I knew, without a doubt, she was perfect for me. Not only is she so sweet and professional but really listened and understood what look I was trying to capture and made it happen! I was so impressed with my H&M trial that I booked Makenzi for my bridal shoot as well , and she was just as impressive and wonderful as before. Every time, my hair was incredible and my makeup was flawless! I can’t thank Makenzi enough for the absolutely STUNNING job she did for my wedding hair and makeup. It was exactly what I hoped for and I felt confident and beautiful as any bride should on her wedding day!

aid that had their hair done loved everything she did and Makenzi really just made me feel like a movie star. I would recommend her to every friend I have over and over.

f the best for my hair and makeup artist. Knowing this would be one of the most important days of my life, I wanted to look my very best - like me, but better. I decided to put my face (and hair) in the hands of Makenzi Laine. From the moment we met I knew it was the right decision. Her positivity and cheery personality is contagious, she made me feel beautiful when I was fresh faced before we started, and drop dead gorgeous by the time we were finished. She is someone that makes you feel comfortable and confident in your own skin - but creates magic that literally made me feel more beautiful than I ever have. We scheduled a trial run and it went wonderfully, but being picky I had some slight changes I wanted to see with my makeup, so she booked me for a second trial without hesitation. It was perfect. Makenzi made it clear that this was MY day, and her feelings would never be hurt if I wanted her to change something, so I never worried that I wouldn’t be happy with the outcome. If I had to do it over again, I would choose Makenzi every time. She is not only a beautiful person inside and out, but she’s talented beyond measure. She is knowledgeable about her craft, and brings out the natural beauty and confidence in her clients.

thers above of the way she works and they like her style. I could not have chosen a better artist than her! I was so incredibly comfortable and loved the beautiful job she did on my wedding day hair and my make up. I felt beautiful and confidant! How every bride should feel!! She has no problem with working with you on exactly what YOU want. She is so sweet and easy, and she is not the least bit offended if you ask for a change. I did a trail session with her first so I would know what I was gong for on the big day. She is SUCH a professional!! My wedding day came, and although we had no worries about how my look would come out, (we already knew that ), as I was getting HAMU done all of a sudden we heard thunder. LOUD thunder. Then the clouds rolled in. My wedding was all OUTSIDE. I stayed calm and honestly just ignored the weather, praying for it to pass. Makenzi and her team doing my bridesmaids HAMU did not say one word about it. I cannot tell you what a difference that made in me staying calm!! They just kept on working and staying positive with me. I felt like they were best friends that just knew me and could read me! She is such a joy, and so talented and I would recommend her to any happy bride that wants to feel beautiful !

she did my makeup in a way that made me feel my most beautiful while still looking like myself and feeling natural.

s!

kind, and positive and she listens carefully to what you want and is willing to make changes to get it exactly how you want! She made my mom look so beautiful and young, even with no prior trial! And as a bride I love how everything turned out! I wanted a natural look that enhanced certain parts of my asian face and work with my long heavy hair and she did so well! I would say if you are an asian bride looking for someone able to enhance your asian features and work with asian hair, then definitely grab up Mackenzie before she is booked!

and made me feel so relaxed on my wedding day - I felt like i was just talking to one of my friends! Everyone raved about her and I honestly have absolutely zero negatives to say. She's the best!

g effect on everyone. And the girls looked so beautiful. Everything was done exactly how we wanted and everyone was so happy! Thank you so much. Highly recommend Makenzi and her team.

looked so good. In fact, she made my whole wedding party look fabulous as well. Not only is she extremely talented and made me look my best, but she is so sweet -making me feel confident and beautiful on my big day!

l as my hair for my wedding and everything turned out beautifully. She was able to create the perfect glamour bride/glamour waves - look that I visioned. I showed several photos of different ideas, and with the first hair trial she nailed it! She's also the sweetest person ever and so easy to work with, which is a bonus!
