About this vendor
Makeup By Adele specializes in natural and timeless beauty, servicing the classic bride and women who want to feel confident and like the best version of themselves.
Makeup is my passion. I was the little girl who played with her mom’s makeup - making a huge mess and enjoying every moment of it. Throughout middle and high school, I kept playing with makeup, but now it was something I was becoming good at. I am a self-taught makeup artist and have been in the makeup industry since 2004 (Boy, am I aging myself, ha!). I worked at various department store makeup counters, was an artist for a few cosmetic brands and perfected my craft over the years. Attending FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) honed my eye for color theory and design. In 2008, I started Makeup By Adele because of my love for working with clients - being a small part of their big events brought so much joy.
I believe each makeup application should be customized to accommodate the client and should never change the way a woman looks, but enhance her natural, beautiful features. I work one on one with every client to explore her unique style and vision for how she wants to look on her wedding, special event, or just because! The end result is you: enhanced, beautiful and confident.
I use only the industry's best products and brands such as: Charlotte Tilbury, Urban Decay, MAC, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Tarte, Make Up For Ever, Benefit and NARS.
Looking forward to working with you soon!

Adele was recommended to me by my photographer (who also had Adele do her wedding makeup!) and I am SO happy I was able to work with her! Adele is not only excellent at what she do...
es, but she is a fun, calming, organized, and positive presence to have around during what can be a stressful time. My mom and I (who are not huge makeup wearers) both had trials done with Adele in a studio in Livermore, and Adele took notes and pictures which she sent along to us, including what lipsticks we might want to buy to have on hand. Adele was able to give us a natural-glam look that made us feel fancy but still like ourselves. My mom and I both had small tweaks we wanted to make once the wedding day came, and Adele was incredibly accommodating and absolutely perfected both of our looks!! She was also understanding and professional when my MOH decided last minute that she wanted very little makeup applied at all for a simple look. I could not think of a better MUA for my wedding, I’m so grateful to have found Adele!
Adele was recommended to me by my sister-inlaw who had her bridal makeup done for her own wedding. I was a bridesmaid on that day and also had my makeup done by Adele and absolutel...
y loved it! It was so natural and complementing to my face. When I was planning my own wedding which just happened this past August, Adele was one of the first people I contacted to book. She was able to handle my large bridal party, bringing along a 2nd makeup artist to get through everyone. My trial went super well, it was my first time having a full set of false lashes on and not going to lie, I was nervous. Adele was so sweet and told me to see how I felt an hour after wearing them and she was so right, I didn’t even notice them! Adele showed up on time on the wedding day and was set up to get right to work. All of my wedding party loved their makeup and it stayed on well the entire night! My husband was obsessed with the makeup, as we both aren’t too fond of heavy makeup since I regularly don’t wear anything other than mascara….if that. At the end of the night, it still looked perfect! Adele is the sweetest and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a perfect makeup artist who will help you feel so confident and beautiful on your wedding day!
Adele was so fun to work with. We started our contract over a year before our wedding date, and she was super communicative and responsive to all my emails leading up to the week o...
f. I went to her studio space for a makeup trial and she totally got what I was looking for. My sister and cousin also had fantastic makeup on the day of (they even said they didn't want to cry during the ceremony because they loved their makeup too much to ruin it). So happy to have worked with Adele and can't wait to see the photos!
Adele was purely fantastic. She really hung on with me while I had to reroute our entire wedding due to Covid-19. She was always responsive, informed and personable. She is also so...
talented! My bridal make up stayed all night long with no wear I almost forgot I had any on. She was so kind, patient and on time— which was so important for a day that feels like just about everything can go wrong. Such a reasonable rate for high quality customer service and artistry. Will work with her again!!!
Where do I start with how amazing Adele is? Not only did she flawlessly create a masterpiece on my face for my wedding day, she also had my 4 brides babes and mom looking absolutel...
y gorgeous for the occasion. When I was searching for a MUA for the big day, my mom wanted me to make sure I chose a makeup artist who had experience with “mature” skin. After chatting with Adele and viewing her portfolio, it was apparent she was the best person for the job. My mom was absolutely thrilled with her makeup and wishes she could hire Adele to do her makeup for her everyday (don’t we all). What I appreciate the most about Adele is that she truly operates with her clients wants in mind. During the trial appointment, my makeup was gorgeous but I decided to go for a much more dramatic look for the big day. Adele didn’t hesitate for a second and said “I LOVE that idea- let’s do it!”. I appreciated that she was open to the feedback and that she truly operated with my vision in mind.
I typically don’t have many reasons to justify having my makeup done, but you can bet that I will be finding ANY opportunity to hire Adele in the future.
Adele was perfect in every way. Being a 2020 bride is hard enough, after changing my date (a few times) Adele always made sure I was thought of and taken care of. She made my siste...

ded to me back in mid-2019, and we established a great working relationship during and after my makeup trial. She was then so accommodating when I unexpectedly had to move my wedding date twice due to Covid. Adele is beyond professional and so quick to respond to communication, and she's amazing at what she does! She helped make me FEEL like a bride on my wedding day, and my makeup was so beautiful! I appreciate that she listened to my requests and feedback, while melding that with her professional expertise so that she created a look that was flattering and to my liking. Her open line of communication via email leading up to the wedding, and her presence the day-of, were welcome and needed. I'd hire her again in a heartbeat! Thanks Adele!
How do I even start this? Adele is the best makeup artist there is. Not only is she extremely talented at what she does but she listens, has a calming presence and is a true profes...
sional. I hired Adele for my elopement on 9/19/2020 - she was so great with communication throughout the whole process and made me (and my family) feel completely safe during Covid. I am someone who is very picky about makeup, I don't wear it very often but Adele made me feel like myself but better - which was exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. I can't recommend her enough. She is someone you want to be around on your wedding day.

ul, especially with COVID happening! She did makeup for me, my 3 bridesmaids, and the mother of the groom + bride. Everyone loved working with her!
I tend to wear little to no makeup, so having a full face of makeup on was quite a lot for me, but Adele eased me into it. Her makeup application really did make me feel like an enhanced version of myself! Whether you are a person that wears a lot of makeup day to day or little to none like myself, I would highly recommend her! I am very much looking forward to working with her again next year at my big reception!

es that were through at us, including the cancellation of a few bridesmaids. She was beyond understanding and worked with me during a very stressful time. It was my pleasure working with her for my wedding. If you are in search of a make up artist that is not only amazing at what she does but is an incredible human, choose Adele. Thank you again! :)

es you feel like you’ve been friends for ages! I was honored to have Adele do my makeup for both my engagement shoot and my wedding makeup plus 4 bridesmaids and my mom. Needless to say I felt like the most beautiful version of myself and have the most stunning photos that capture that for the rest of our lives. I highly recommend Adele for her makeup expertise!!

her because of how obviously sweet she was and how well she communicated. I think her prices are pretty standard for the area and I definitely felt like her services were worth the price. She also gave me suggestions for hair stylists she loves working with as I was struggling to find someone I liked who was available. I would definitely recommend her!

Adele was professional, kind, efficient and made me feel beautiful on my wedding day! Highly recommend.
Adele was amazing. She did my make up for my engagement pictures, guest book and wedding. I would totally work with her again, as well as refer her to others (which I already did ....
Haha). I am not the make up type girl and I felt bad for not knowing what I wanted. But Adele knew exactly what I was looking for. I told her I wanted a natural look with subtle boldness. I ,instantly, was comfortable around her. She was funny and easy talk too. She also was supportive and very team oriented, especially when a unexpected hiccup occurred. Unfortunately, a few days before my wedding , the hair stylist couldn’t do my wedding. Adele found solution and handled it all with my wedding planner. All my bridesmaid loved her and her work too. She was very professional. She was timely on her email responses; created the timeline for hair and make up; and on time on the wedding day. During the wedding day, she was the point person on who was next. She and the other women worked very well together. Adele took all of my stress away during the make up and hair . I got to enjoy the moment. I appreciated her hard work and getting to know her. I am looking forward in working with her again.

She is fun to be around and we all enjoyed having her join us in the suite the morning of while we all got ready. Our gorgeous makeup lasted beyond the reception and photographed perfectly. I would highly recommend choosing Adele for all of your makeup needs!
Adele is THE best makeup artist I’ve ever met. I’ve been in several weddings, and have had my fair share of makeovers for formal events. When I first started looking for someone to...
do my wedding makeup, I didn’t think I was going to have strong opinions about it. I got my makeup done for my engagement shoot, and was disappointed that I went to that person, because I was not happy with it. I ended up re-doing it all myself. At that point, I went to my florist, Laura Roda Ahmed, whose taste I trusted, and asked if she had any recommendations. She only gave me one name, and I had a feeling that meant I didn’t need another one! Boy was she right. I reached out to Adele, and she promptly responded and got me all set up for a trial. I went to meet her and LOVED everything about her. From her insane talent to her personality, we just clicked. When I looked in the mirror, I wasn’t expecting to see the best makeup I’ve ever seen on myself. I felt the most beautiful I had ever looked and that’s not an exaggeration. Shortly after, I emailed her asking what products she used on me so I could buy literally all of them, and she thoughtfully wrote out a personalized regimen for me. Adele is so organized, professional, and talented at makeup. I’ve always felt a bit self-conscious about my skin, yet she found a way to make me glow; I got so many compliments on my makeup. I wanted to look like myself, but enhanced, and she nailed it. One of the first things my husband said to me at our first look was “you look so beautiful…and your makeup looks amazing!” Needless to say, I was confident on my wedding day, thanks to Adele!
