DJ Kevin Markey is phenomenal. Not only was he extremely quick to respond and communicative throughout the year before the wedding, but he took all of our songs and playlists and worked magic with them. He provided mics, speakers and music for the ceremony, mics for all speeches, uplighting and the photobooth (which our guests LOVED). He incorporated all of the music we wanted, and he did it super well. He understood our vibe and threw in some throwbacks that I was super excited to hear. Even while just sitting at our sweetheart table I was dancing in my chair. His transitions were great and he knows how to read a crowd. Nobody could stay off the dance floor, and I had a ton of guests of all ages tell me how great he was. He was also quick to adapt during the reception when we decided to change a few small things, and he stayed in communication with us and the coordinator all night. We had a multicultural wedding, and he did a great job at incorporating music from both sides. Our families were super happy. Thank you Kevin!!!

Make A Mark Events is a professional DJ, lighting and photo booth company serving all of the New England area. This team of DJs is dedicated to providing professional and enjoyable musical entertainment to every event that they attend. All of the entertainers have extensive resumes in the entertainment world, playing and holding residencies at some of the biggest night clubs in New England, Norwegian Cruise Ships, as well as hosting events all across the U.S. With an impressive knowledge of music across al genres/decades, these disc-spinners are a highly adaptable choice for a wedding party. Make A Mark's Team of DJ's including Kevin, Steve, Travis, Justin aka Juice, Aaron & Vito! - communicate closely with their couples throughout the planning process and the event, paying close attention to details. We know not only how to keep a party going but how to make every event as unique as the couple planning it. We base our sets off of what our clients request and by reading the crowd in front of us at that given moment. From the 70’s to 2000's Hip Hop, to EDM, to today’s hits, we have a full set for every type of crowd. Our DJs are very skilled and have the ability to smoothly blend from song to song. This helps keep the energy constantly moving once we get to party time. Typically we have 1 initial phone chat at the start of the process, directly between you and your potential DJ. This chat only takes about 10 to 15 minutes and is easy and fun. On this call we will ask easy info questions, chat about music for a bit and of course answer any questions that you might have. He understood exactly what we wanted but ultimately let us lead how we wanted our day to be executed. On the actual day, he was able to play music & give us mics for our ceremony, set up awesome uplighting for the reception, and stuck to our playlists & wishes for music. But– our favorite part– was the dancing. Our dancefloor NEVER had downtime – Kevin kept the energy high, got everyone on the dancefloor & kept everyone there for the 2+ hour set. He is a true DJ - he doesn't just press play; he had a true feel for the audience, had professional level transitions, and was inclusive of all ages with his song choices. Another plus is that he was an AWESOME emcee – a natural behind the mic, and made the traditional wedding timeline seem fun. Multiple guests (like well over 10 people) spoke to us during our wedding saying he was the best wedding DJ they’ve ever seen. Justin was an incredible MC and showed serious skill with his music choices and transitions. About half of our wedding party was on the older side, and he still managed to get everyone on the dance floor. We tested his versatility by asking for a real mix — Mexican, 80s, modern, Latin, EDM, and 2010s hits — and he delivered on every genre, keeping guests of all ages dancing all night. So many of our guests raved about him, and even the venue staff, who see events like this constantly, commented on how great the music was. My father-in-law even caught some of the staff dancing along and talking about how good he was. If you need a DJ who’s versatile, incredibly talented and outgoing, DJ Juice is the one to book.

After this meeting, we didn't even send him a must play or a do not play list (although he was happy to take them) for the wedding. We just let him do his thing and it was AMAZING! tress-free. The sound set-up for our wedding ceremony was flawless and so was the music for our cocktail hour and reception! Our wedding was around 85 people and we were worried about keeping people on the dance floor throughout the night, but that ended up not being an issue at all with Steve! He also did a great job MCing and kept a great flow throughout the whole evening. Also huge shout out to Keno, who ran the photobooth! He also did a fantastic job and all of our guests absolutely loved taking photos. It was so nice having the photo guest book to keep afterwards as well! 100% recommend booking Make a Mark Events for your wedding!
