The BEST VENUE EVER!!! May I say, “I’m in love with Rachel and Gemma”? They are amazing! Also, the scent machine for HVAC! GENIUS! Never get rid of it! It was a requirement for my ...
wedding, so everyone smelled good the entire time! Also, working with the team at MSB was so effortless! Also, Rachel girl! You broke your curse! She handed me a slice of my cake and didn’t drop it! It was a demand of mine and she achieved it with beauty and grace and I’m so glad.
The perk of this venue is you have on-site staff for your vendors or wedding planner to contact for any questions AND the venue is open from 8am-midnight! All my vendors were so happy and thankful for that, so they didn’t have to rush set up or anything like that. The venue itself is beautiful; we had to do a room flip which was so cool how they magically did that so quickly. The furniture that was already there was great and the outside patio was so relaxing for cocktail hours. The restrooms were so clean and the studios for the people getting married were perfect!
Overall, this venue was perfect, especially in case it rained, which it was supposed to, but it thankfully didn’t. Parking was a little crazy for most, but that’s going to be anywhere in a city area, thankfully all parking spots were at least free, so no one had to pay or worry about being ticketed. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone any day!
It was an amazing experience having our wedding at the Main Street Ballroom. We went for a sort've modern take on vintage theme and the interior fit what we looked for perfectly. W...
e also loved that our caterer brought in their truck utilizing the parking spaces in the front, which really made the outdoor patio feel more private and connected to the party inside.
Considering that all vendors are booked independently of the venue, it made DIYing our wedding easier. Scheduling walkthroughs and mapping out the venue floor plan with Rachel was a breeze and Gemma was quite responsive via email to answer any questions you had.
Booking our date was especially easy given that we requested a weekday at their hourly rate. On the day of, Tyler was the acting venue manager and was also great and easy to work with. If we had to do it all over again, we would still choose MSB. Thank you for making our day the best day of our lives!

Getting married at MSB was one of the best decisions my husband and I could have made. On top of the venue being unique and beautiful, the 16 hour rental period allowed us to enjoy...
our day without feeling rushed. The bistro lights and stone walls provided the moody and romantic vibes we were going for. The staff at MSB were very responsive and professional. Honestly MSB was one of the least stressful vendors to work with and made the wedding planning process just that much easier. Our wedding was approx. 185 people and there was plenty of room for a reception and a dance floor.
First off I’ll start by stating that our wedding was absolutely magical in the space of Main Street Ballroom. I was able to live out my dream wedding within those four walls. BUT t...
he experience of dealing with Main Street was less than ideal.
Starting with them asking us to come in and meet with them for an initial meeting which was over an hour drive for us to get to only to ask us what we were doing there for the meeting. Well—- because you told us we had to come in for the walk through.
Next, for the next scheduled visit to the venue again to drive an hour there to have the lady who was meeting us as if we could push it back a half hour. After we told her we had already arrived she came in and told us she was being a couch potato and wanted to continue to scroll…
Next up would be when I was looking to schedule an appointment and had to download their pricing guide. Just beware that their prices are “market price” and they will book couples later in the year for less money to fill up their rental dates. Initially we had asked if we could do a non peak Friday price and they stated no because it would be unfair to their other brides and after this, I think this was unfair to other brides of the 2024 year. If you want to do that, don’t advertise the lesser price for current brides to see.
They also have no flexibility. We were on a VERY tight schedule and I had asked if our makeup girls could come in 15 minutes early while they were turning on the lights and getting our tables set up. They said no and they only rent out by the hour which was $750 but on their hourly rate it is $600. I did not need an hour, I needed 15 minutes. But turns out that they could not do that because our rental time started at 8am and they got there at 8:03 and had no tables or chairs set up for us so the rental technically was not even ready when we got there.
Also, if you do choose to get married there make sure you have a day of that is there all day. They do not sign in any of your rentals unless it comes from their catalog. Also, make sure you ask if anything has been added to rentals because they will not notify you if new stuff becomes available.
Make sure you also ask about all of the rules. There are some rules that are not outlined within the contract that aren’t necessarily a deal breaker but since we did not know about them until the final walk through, we needed to figure out how to pivot last minute.
Also, they do not assist with anything other if something were to spill, or a toilet get clogged. Yet we had a spill and they were no where to be found. Out catering team was there to clean it up. They did say it was their duty to even move the coat rack out from being visible when brides were walking down the aisle yet they failed on that as well as I’m seeing this coat rack in my photos as they come trickling in small detail that most may overlook but was a key point mentioned for me.
Overall my wedding was a dream and it was perfect but if I could have gotten my money back after dealing with them and moved venues, I would have.
We loved the ballroom! It was everything we wanted in a venue and the staff working is fantastic! The one thing we felt could be helpful in the future is for the bridal suite to ha...

My husband and I got married here on December 3rd, and we had the most amazing moody luxury winter wedding at MSB. All of the managers at MSB are so communicative and helpful, and ...
I can't thank them enough for all of their help with my wedding planner (Terry Kaye Events) to help ensure our wedding day would be perfect! The venue space is absolutely stunning and I love that you get the entire venue for the WHOLE 16 HOURS! I mean that is so unheard of with wedding venues! It made the flow of my day a breeze because we really had no time constraints since we could get ready at the venue anytime. I also loved that they provided chairs, tables, misc decor items, etc. that other people used in their weddings and are free to use if you want! I can't recommend MSB enough for a wedding venue for any time of year!
MSB was so the perfect venue for us! We live so close to Main Street, so that was definitely a selling point. The venue is a blank slate with lots of charm! Dog friendly!!! & the s...

ed. The patio was beautiful and a great space for cocktail hour. Over time, we worked with Emily, Rosie, Sara, and Rachel. Emily, Rosie, and Sara were really helpful and easy to work with. Sara handled AM set up and worked very hard, was helpful in solving small issues that arose, etc. The number of tables available on the website and actual number didn’t match, but Sara handled it quickly once we pointed that fact out. Rachel was difficult, often rude and unprofessional. At our first appointment with her, she was wearing pajamas and feeling ill, didn’t want to leave the table to show our MOH and event coordinator around. We had planned to have fake snow at the exit, outdoors, which she refused to do. Finally, after some back and forth, we clarified that our contract did not prevent it. She finally agreed but required that we have a power washer come (even though this was just soap) the next day. She told us there would be water access, which turned out not to be true. Also no one from the venue was there when he was there cleaning despite their insistence that he handle it next day. During the evening, Rachel seemed more concerned in policing our guests than managing the event. Some guests were unaware of the no self serve policy and Rachel was overly aggressive and rude with them. She walked into the dressing room without knocking and saw a few bridesmaids drinking champagne that they had been earlier in the day. She told the bridesmaids that she was “disappointed” in them for drinking but that she wasn’t going to take it away. She then took seltzers from some attendees and wouldn’t allow them to put them in the car, which was being loaded with the leftover alcohol. Overall a great and beautiful venue if you don’t need to work with Rachel.

s missing from other venues. So don’t let the price dissuade you! The team there is extremely professional and helped make our day run so smoothly. Our favorite parts of Main Street were the variety of styles inside (and outside!) for photo opportunities, the bistro lights, and the two getting ready suites. I would recommend couples to encourage guests to ride-share or give clear instructions on the alternate parking lots in the city because the lot right outside does fill up quickly with other visitors. We loved Main Street and highly recommend it to everyone!
We had our December 2021 wedding at Main Street Ballroom and we cannot recommend it enough! Kate and the entire MSB crew were amazing. The venue is gorgeous, its 16-hour rental per...
iod(!) is unheard of, and all the included chairs/tables/arches/easels saved us thousands! We are so thankful that we went with MSB.
We recently held our fall 2021 wedding at Main Street Ballroom. I am not even sure where to start because everything was so perfect. The Main Street staff was helpful, kind and ver...
y responsive whenever we needed anything. The venue was such a great value for the money spent and time we were allowed to use the space. It was by far the largest window of time (8am - midnight) out of any other area venues we looked at.
The venue does not have many restrictions and there are no required vendors. This was also a huge plus for us as it allowed us the freedom to use the vendors we wanted to use.
Leading up to the event, Rachel was VERY helpful with answering all of our questions and helping us make the best decisions for our big day.
On the day of the event, the staff was helpful in setting up the ceremony chairs and doing other things around the venue as needed. The staff was polite and helpful and stayed out of the way when not needed.
The onsite bridal and groom suit was also very nice in getting everyone settled for the day.
If you are looking for a unique venue with an open canvas to customize to your style and personality while also wanting a friendly and helpful staff without breaking the budget and an all day rental (!!!), Main Street is the place to be!!

eriors, and we absolutely made the right call. The staff were flexible and communicative throughout the planning process. Because MSB is already so beautiful, we ended up saving a ton of money on décor. We also saved money by providing our own alcohol and caterer, rather than going through a venue approved caterer as many venues require. Everyone at our wedding remarked on the gorgeous setting and we loved getting ready in the bride’s and groom’s rooms! If you want to take first look photos, we recommend going to the Patapsco Female Institute, which is just around the corner.

ndow, so that we would have plenty of space and time to get ready and prep. We were originally planning for around 150 guests, but when the pandemic hit, Kate was so wonderful about letting us downscale so that we could still use the space for our ceremony - with only our officiants and immediate family present and most of our guests attending virtually.
Amazing venue! Beautiful without anything added ! Amazing price

ired with the string lights and chandeliers make a beautiful starting palette for any design vision. The bridal suite and grooms room were perfect spaces for us to get ready in, and we could stay separate the way the venue is laid out. It was AWESOME to have the venue from 8AM to midnight.
You are able to bring in any vendors you want which provides freedom and flexibility.
The space can handle a lot of people, but make sure to think about your floor plan and dinner preference (buffet or formal). We fit 190 in the bar room for cocktail hour with the barn doors closed, but it was very tight. We had a formal seated dinner with that number in the main ballroom, with plenty of room for a dance floor.
Communication with the venue managers is quick and consistent throughout your planning process and day of managers are very helpful and available to you the day of your event.
A little more expensive compared to some others, but the full day window, flexibility of vendors, unique charm of the venue, and positive helpful staff make it 100 % worth it!
Highly recommend this venue!

ant to personalize it for your big day. The staff is all very helpful in answering questions thoroughly and timely. The full day rental is a huge stress reliever, and the extras they provide fit the space perfectly. Highly recommend for a venue choice!
When I first visited the space I loved it so much I didn't want to leave. This venue is a beautiful blank canvas that can suit any style. It's an added plus that the venue has cafe...
lights, chandeliers and lots of furniture free to use! And two pretty awesome prep suites. You really get your money's worth with this space. The whole MSB staff was super friendly and helpful through my planning process. The owner, Kate is awesome and our event manager, Jess, made sure our vendors had everything they needed on our wedding day. Thank you Main Street Ballroom for being a beautiful backdrop for our special day!
10 stars.

mmunicated with our wedding planner to ensure everything was all set, prepared for and double checked on everything it needed to be done before our special day. On our wedding day, I cannot say enough about this beautiful flow throughout the day. The coordination between the MSB staff wedding planner It's in the heart of Ellicott City which that makes it even more a blessing. Highly recommended if you want to use your wedding, visit the venue first and you will love it! Thanks to all of the MSB to make our wedding a beautiful experience!

ceremony. The building itself is great for picture taking. The window of time to be onsite is great and the staff are friendly and kind. It was a pleasure having my ceremony and wedding here.
I don't even know where to start... We of course had no idea what we were doing getting into wedding planning, but we started with looking into a venue. Once we decided to go with...
MSB, they made the process as easy as possible. It is no joke when they claim to take out some of the restrictions and general hassles when it comes to having a wedding. Getting into the venue at 8am and having the space until midnight (however we didn't need it that long) was wonderful. We did soo much ourselves and the thought of other venues having only 2 hours prior to the ceremony to set up just boggles my mind. The managers and coordinators were extremely helpful whenever we had questions about our day. We were also able to have the rehearsal at the venue the night before, which was incredibly helpful for planning! The space was gorgeous--urban, rustic, and industrial, so pretty with the stone walls and the bistro lights (which were there to use free of charge mind you!). We were able to make the space our own with hardly any restrictions. We had a lot of handmade/DIY things to hang and set up and when I was trying to figure out how to set them up, the manager for the day completely took care of it; his words, "don't worry we will find a way to do it and it will be done how you want it." HOLY music to my ears! It was also nice to have the bridal suite to use for getting ready with my bridesmaids! It's a beautiful space back there as well. The only issue we had, was we felt like communication could have been a little better as far as updates to the venue. However, we still had a fantastic experience and I could not recommend MSB enough to future couples. The venue is still new and MSB has done a lot of updating along the way to make the venue better and better, but we hadn't known there was an expansion on the venue until the planning was too far to budget for it--I believe we just weren't on the email chain. And there was a beautiful bar and a few other pieces of furniture that we did not know we were able to use. It worked out great because the bar was much prettier than the one we rented! However, if we even knew just one day for the wedding, we could have cancelled our rental and kept the money. Another thing to keep in mind is that the venue is somewhat bare and they don't provide trash service, so you need to pick a caterer that can help with that! Really, really loved this venue and I'm so happy my husband found it for us! BEST. DAY. EVER.
This venue was the perfect backdrop for my big day. There is the perfect mix of rustic and industrial touches that come together perfectly in this space. I also loved that the venu...
e served as a blank slate that allowed me to envision and build my perfect wedding. Since this is a newer venue, there were a few instances throughout my planning process where the venue’s standard/additional offerings changed, which caused a few headaches on my end where I had already reserved vendors. Overall though, I wouldn’t have a changed a thing and would highly recommend this venue.
