Maggie Swanson Photography

f the shots we wanted with our bridesmaids and groomsmen. In addition to be amazing they are also affordable. We would recommend to anyone that needs a wedding photographer!!

just as professionals, but as people. Their warmth and calming presence instantly made us feel at ease, and their attention to detail and planning ahead of time made our wedding day completely stress-free. They took the time to understand what shots were most important to us, and their organization ensured we captured every moment we had dreamed of (and so many more we didn’t even realize we’d cherish so much!). On the day of the wedding, Maggie and Clay were the perfect blend of calm and efficient. They kept everything moving seamlessly, without ever making it feel rushed or overly staged. The result? Timeless, beautiful images that truly reflect the love and joy of our day. We are beyond grateful for them and truly couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for photographers who care deeply about their couples and go above and beyond to deliver magic. Maggie and Clay—thank you for everything!

ographers! But seriously - they guided us through every pose with ease since we had no prior experience and the photos turned out great. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. If you’re looking for photographers who are amazing, look no further. Maggie and Clay are the ones to book. I would recommend them a 6/5 if I could and have been letting family and friends know about them who are getting married. Truely a treat to have at our wedding. Thanks again both of you. -Christian

each person was positioned precisely. There were some awkard spacing, clothes and other fabrics were not positioned right, just not something I was expecting from a professional photographer. And while they were there, they looked like they were not mentally there and just wanted to get the shots in, so kind of rushed. The pictures came out nice and clear but not the best. If anyone wants to book them, make sure to ask them if the positioning looks good, if anything looks off, etc. I wouldn't mind booking them again, but if I did, I'd make sure everything looks alright.

, creative eyes, and artistic expression is unmatched. In the beginning, my husband and I hopped on a facetime call with Clay and Maggie to discuss our vision for our engagement photos and wedding photos. Without a doubt, they listened to every detail and took note of every one of our requests! They were able to capture an amazing outdoor atmosphere out of a disc golf track for our engagement session! I asked for "in the moment" photos for our wedding, and they did not disappoint! Clay and Maggie captured every photo I listed on my shot list and, without hesitation, sent me a copy of a bridesmaid that I thought they missed (I had 10 bridesmaids, so it was a lot of formal photos to capture, cull, and edit!). Clay and Maggie created a flow of events the day of the wedding that kept both me and my husband relaxed. They were gentle with our timeline so we didn't feel rushed, yet kept us on track and pushed through to be on time throughout the evening. They kept me at ease (which was extremely important to me being a "type A" bride) and let us enjoy our day together. They quite literally captured every "in the moment" photo I could have ever asked for. I am eternally grateful for my experience with Clay and Maggie and would choose them again and again! They were EASILY one of the best decisions in my wedding planning journey.

then for any of your photography needs!

e and I were thrilled to be able to spend time with Clay and Maggie during both our engagement shoot AND our wedding day. They were highly professional, prepared, and got us our photos in a timely manner even in the midst of some big life events on their end. They were warm and fun, and make the photoshoots something to look forward to rather than something to be nervous about. I would highly recommend them!

rst video call to the wedding day. They made us feel at ease, and captured every photo we wanted, plus more. We are goofy and like to have fun, and that came out perfectly in our gallery.

pictures before professionally and were so nervous for engagement pictures, but Clay and Maggie made us feel so much more comfortable and we couldn't be happy with the quality of our pictures. I will recommend them to everyone I know getting married!

here to take our wedding party pictures when our original plan wasn't going to work due to the rain which took a lot of stress off of us! We gave them a shot list of pictures that we really wanted and they captured those and then some that we didn't even think of which we are so thankful for! We can not speak highly enough of Clay and Maggie and we are so soo grateful we booked them to capture our day!

thly and for us to enjoy it. They captured our day perfectly and got all the little moments! I truly can’t say enough good things about them!

nd thoughts we had for our day. He exceeded all of our expectations. The pictures were great. He fit our relaxed, backyard family wedding and we couldn't have been happier with the results.

angles for all the big moments throughout the day. They have the sweetest personalities, and truly made our day special. Would definitely book them again :)

ssion and business is clear and I would absolutely recommend them.

d photos. We love so many that it makes it hard to choose which photos we like best! I can't say how thankful we are to have found such a wonderful pair of photographers. They are the best!

now getting our engagement photos back, it has been absolutely wonderful working with them. We can't wait for our wedding photoshoot! Extremely easy to work with and they are exceptional during the shoot, making my fiance, Tessa, and I both comfortable while taking photos (we don't take a lot of photos, so this was awesome). Clay even brought hand warmers and let Tessa use them (the shoot was in January and it was very cold). Cannot recommend them enough!

. They are so much fun to be around and have a great energy. When we did our engagement pictures, we spent so much time laughing and enjoying the time we had. We got our engagement pictures back about 3 weeks after we took them. During our wedding, it was so nice to have both Clay and Maggie there to capture 2x the moments. Maggie was so much fun while my girls and I were getting ready and I know the boys liked hanging out with Clay too. They were totally on it with all of our requests and made sure we got every shot quickly and efficiently. We got our wedding photos back right at 6 weeks after our wedding, and they are ABSOLUTELY dreamy! Our families and friends have given us so many compliments on them as well. I know we will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives, and we are so happy that we choose Clay and Maggie for our wedding and engagement pictures.

ndor 😂 My main desire for our wedding day was that it felt very natural, not very scheduled or staged, and that my husband and I just got to be in the moment and not pulled off for pictures or poses all the time. Clay and Maggie were like ninjas, blending in with our bridal party, joking around with our families, and capturing those natural moments we wanted most. They were super flexible on timeline of the wedding day, letting us pick what was important to us and then taking care of the remaining details so we didn't have any extra decisions on our shoulders. Our pictures are so natural and raw and perfection; they capture our joy and excitement to a freaking tee. We just purchased our first home and we can't WAIT for Clay and Maggie's work to be the first thing our guests see when they walk in the front door because you can bet your bottom dollar we are hangin' our photos EVVVERYWHERE. Thank you Swansons!! -Han & Mac :)

ow beautifully our wedding photos turned out. I wouldn’t have changed a thing - & Clay and Maggie took care of it all! Highly recommend Clay Swanson Photography.

e whole wedding day - went with the flow and also directed when needed as well as being very creative and professional. We love every single photo & they gave us so many to choose from. I would definitely recommend because we'll look back on the photos our whole life- we are so happy we invested in professionals.

nuine, kind, and fun! My husband and I are not super comfortable in front of the camera, but during both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day, Clay and Maggie helped us feel like naturals! In addition to providing us with INCREDIBLE engagement and wedding photos, they went above and beyond to assist us in planning the timeline of our wedding day. I would recommend Clay and Maggie to anyone who is looking for photography services for a special event. My husband and I will certainly be working with them again in the future!

beginning and were very patient with us when planning our engagement shoot. During the actual wedding they were fun, easy to work with, and I felt like they went above and beyond. The photos from our wedding turned out phenomenal, as well. The only frustration was their lack of communication towards the end. I don’t think their lack of communication happens with all their clients, because they were great at the beginning. They had life get in the way, which we understood. I would still recommend these photographers any day, but I would just recommend to communicate on both ends!

g pictures. My husband and I loved their previous work and editing style so much, we didn't have a single worry. On the day of our wedding they did a great job directing us, the wedding party, and our families and the pictures turned out incredible! Highly recommend if you want one less thing to worry about!

odating and always had our best interests at heart, not to mention the engagement and wedding pictures were AMAZING! They were super easy to communicate with, and we could not have imagined anyone better for our wedding photographer!

me out so natural and stunning. I cannot wait to see our wedding photos!

have such an eye for photography, AND they are super fun and easy to work with. No awkward moments or lags during photos - they always know exactly what to tell you to do while making it seem so natural. And of course, the end results are phenomenal. Would highly recommend!

the shoot. Which made the shoot go very smooth. They made such a good team. Contact them. You will not regret it!

presence felt and they did just that. Through COVID-19, Clay and Maggie were by my side through it all. They were in constant communication and always were there to answer questions and give advice, even beyond photography. Their pictures turned out breathtakingly beautiful. They truly are The sweetest couple out there. They traveled to St. Louis for my wedding and their expertise, quality of photos, and professionalism has gone unmatched to other photographers I interviewed to capture my day. Extremely reasonable, they should charge more! They are so incredibly talented and amazing at what they do. Blessed to have had them as a vendor for my day. 💕

perfect for our personalities. We are absolutely in love with our pictures and will have a number of them hanging in our home.

nd Clay are super personable and make you feel so comfortable! I can’t recommend them enough!

turned out amazing... we really can't wait for the wedding day!

o plan and stressful the day of, but having great people like Clay and Maggie there to document the day and make you feel like you’ve known them forever, just makes the best day even sweeter. Thank you both!!! We can’t wait to have you guys document more of life’s biggest moments in the future!

ay. It was so easy to have them be a part of our day and they fit right in with the rest of our crew - Clay even got a couple of ping-pong games in with some of my groomsmen! It was super fun to work with such a professional, punctual, and well-versed photographer.

lawlessly on our big day and created such a comfortable, fun atmosphere for photos. We can not recommend them more!

captured us perfectly. Having two photographers on our wedding day was important to us to ensure as much of our big day as possible was captured. We just got married last weekend so I haven't seen the photos yet but I have no doubt they're going to be perfect. Clay and Maggie felt like friends and every shot felt comfortable and easy. Thank you so much you guys!

t we wanted but clay and Maggie came with their own ideas and they were AMAZING! They knew how to direct our crazy crew in such a polite way and were amazingly friendly and very easy people to work with. We could not have asked for better! Can’t recommend them enough!

special day. They did our engagement pictures and our wedding pictures and we love all of them!! Both Clay and Maggie have this amazing artistic eye for photography. We couldn't be happier with our photos! Definitely recommend these photographers to anyone and everyone!!!!!!
