Lovingston Winery

were able to stay on the property with my wife and bridesmaids in the farm house and myself(the groom) and my groomsmen in the cabin the night before the wedding. this is a big stress relief with not having to drive around the day of the wedding and getting to enjoy the night before with our closest friends. The houses and barn are all very nice and clean. The beauty of the barn with the large fireplace, wood tables, and large barn doors that expose the natural beauty of the vineyard we couldn’t have picked a better spot to celebrate our big day. Needing minimal decorations due to its natural beauty was a huge relief and great for all pictures to be done on property minimizing travel on the day. Tessa and Wes nailed it when it comes to customer service they are always quick to respond and helped shuttle our guests from the farm house where our ceremony was to the barn for the reception. I could not recommend lovingston winery enough for a wedding venue or just a glass of wine! An amazing place with amazing owners!

ssionate the owners are about how special this place is. Tessa was very communicative throughout the planning process; always willing to answer our questions. During our wedding weekend we were so well taken care of. They made sure we had everything we needed and more. It's the perfect place for those looking for a relaxed, peaceful, slow wedding weekend!

venue. They were also very accommodating to us and helpful getting everything set up for the ceremony. I would definitely get married here again.

rience and making your wedding the best day ever! Wineries in this area tend to feel more corporate and not personalized but there is so much room for your wedding vision to come to life here at Lovingston Winery. They allow flexibility that most venues don’t allow at all and truly value what means most to you for your day. We had a perfect fall wedding that made for great photos, memories, and stories that we will be able to remember for the rest of our life. Our friends and family were so impressed about how beautiful and homey this place felt! There are endless ways to make this place unique and the breathtaking views and surroundings only add to the beauty of the wedding venue. You will not regret booking here and also get access to a house and a cabin that allow family members or bridal party to stay on site and to get ready on the day of. This place is truly a hidden gem, and I think anyone who books will see the magic that this places holds like we did <3

ing from Texas and Tessa was accommodating to schedule a tour with us based on when we would be visiting VA. We absolutely enjoyed the surrounding vines and mountain views throughout the property and liked the fact that they only do one wedding a weekend. We also really enjoyed the idea of being able to select vendors on our own to curate the wedding we wanted and not be locked to specific venue vendors like other venues. Lovingston Winery was the first venue we toured, we did tour a few others and during those tours we kept going back to Lovingston Winery. Ultimately, we selected Lovingston Winery for our wedding weekend for this past labor day weekend. Tessa was communicative and informative during the booking and provided us great information. Once everything was confirmed Tessa provided us their preferred vendor list and we started planning from there. Honestly, planning a wedding from Texas to have in VA was a little scary however we were able to lock in some of our key vendors for our wedding through Lovingston's vendor list and then locked in other vendors based on those vendors. The process couldn't have been smoother. Over the next several months Tessa was great at answering our questions and providing additional details as needed. The week before our wedding we were notified rain as a possibility during our wedding, Tessa and our coordinator, Katelyn from Champagne Wishes, a preferred Lovingston vendor, were helpful in providing details of options, we ended up deciding to put a back up plan in action and a tent was built out on the back of the barn just incase. It finally came time for our wedding weekend and it went perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the lodging on site and being able to have everything in one place for the entire weekend. Us and our wedding party stayed at the farm house and cabin while our family/ friends stayed at the local B&Bs, Airbnbs, and hotels. It was so nice to have all of our best friends and close family come in on Friday to hang out before all the wedding festivities got started. The winery being open that afternoon was nice to have as it gave something for our friends and family to do. We ended up having our rehearsal dinner at the farm house the night before and got catering from Vito's, it worked out well. The day of our wedding everything was set up in advanced, Tessa, Wes and their team helped guests with parking and guiding them to the wedding site location along with other items. They were there through all of it. It did end up storming during the reception, the tent was great to have as a prep area and space for furniture to stay dry. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our venue selection for our wedding weekend. Since our wedding we have received so many compliments from our family and friends about how much they loved the venue and our wedding weekend. We highly recommend Lovingston Winery for a venue for a wedding or other event. We can't wait to go back and visit in the future! Thanks again Tessa and Wes for an unforgettable weekend and experience. All photos in this post taken by Rohrback Studios, a preferred vendor by Lovingston.

s with mountain views, the scenery is SO pretty. Not to mention Tessa and Wes’s beautiful design of the new barn - the Tupelo House - and the cozy vibes they created in the Farmhouse and Cabin. Tessa and Wes were communicative from the very beginning, helping us set up a tour, answering all of our questions throughout the entire process, helping us pick the (delicious) wines for our reception, and being super responsive during our wedding weekend. Having the Farmhouse and Cabin on property was such an amazing amenity. Most of our wedding party stayed onsite, and it made for such a fun and relaxed vibe that I would highly recommend - no need to look at extra properties for getting ready or booking transportation for the wedding party! Waking up on site and sitting on the tree swing and walking around the property with my dog, fiancé, and friends, was one of my most special memories from the weekend. The included furniture was awesome and fit our vibe, and the additional rentals they offered were stunning and matched the beautiful taste they demonstrate throughout the property. Being at a winery, you have to purchase their wine for the reception (just like all of the wineries in the Charlottesville area), and theirs are all amazing. I could go on and on about this property and the people. Tessa and Wes have something really special here, and I cannot recommend this place more! Photos by Amanda Owen Photo

erfect. When our day-of-coordinator had to stop working for medical reasons, they were able to find us another coordinator available to take over within an hour. The staff at Lovingston really cares about making your experience unique and magical.

y’ve put a lot of love and thought into the property, and the wine is also incredible! Both Wes and Tessa were great with communication, and they also got married here – so in addition to hosting many other couples, they know this place well! All our family traveled from out of town, so it was nice to have the option for some of us to stay on the property (in the cabin and farmhouse AirBnBs) throughout the entire wedding weekend and not feel so rushed on the wedding day. Some of our best memories were hanging out on the porch drinking coffee together or lounging in the Adirondack chairs sipping wine. Other family and friends stayed at hotels in Charlottesville or other AirBnBs/B&Bs in Lovingston. I also didn’t have a wedding planner, and Tessa was so generous with her time and wedding advice in helping me plan the day. Wes and Tessa set up our chairs for the ceremony and even had some of their crew help carry them back down during cocktail hour so we could use them again for dinner. The barn, called the Tupelo House, where we held our cocktail hour and reception, was beautiful. The weather was perfect with a light breeze, and the giant barn doors allowed plenty of airflow without the need to rent extra fans. I also loved that they offered farm tables, chairs, and a bar as part of their wedding package (among many other perks). The whole wedding weekend was absolutely perfect, and I cannot recommend this space more!

smooth and wonderful! The venue is truly beautiful and our guests raved about the beauty! The new barn is gorgeous and this is the perfect venue for someone wanting to have a garden party or rustic themed wedding. My husband and I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful winery to have their wedding at. The wine is also phenomenal!

to make your day go absolutely smooth. Tessa was always very responsive and understanding to any questions/concerns. Tessa and her kindness was one of the biggest reasons we chose this venue. Of course, the views and the vineyards are beautiful and make for a perfect backdrop for a wedding. The venue has two places on property for the entire bridal party to stay on site for two nights! In all the venues we looked at this was the only one that offered this and it was so nice after rehearsal to hang around with the bridal party all in one space. This was one of our favorite features of Lovingston Winery. If you aren't certain on the vibe of the ceremony you want... there are multiple locations on the property that work for a ceremony site. As for the reception space... the new Tupelo House is absolutely stunning and perfect for hosting your reception. My wife and I cannot speak highly enough about this venue and Tessa is truly a remarkable person who truly cares about you and wants your wedding to go smoothly and how you envisioned it. If you are looking for a beautiful, unique, and perfect place to get married, we could not recommend Lovingston Winery enough. The wine is good, the people are good, and the views are amazing.

ernoon to find Tessa and Wes already at work setting up the arbor and ceremony space as we had requested. They were happy to even make minor adjustments the day before to match our vision. From the day we toured the venue to the end of the wedding, they were incredible to work with! Tessa made herself available over email or phone calls as often as I needed to talk through plans, questions, or brainstorm ideas. The Lovingston team helped set up many things for our wedding day and even provided wine pourers for dinner on our request. The barn had just been finished the summer before our wedding, but we couldn’t have been happier with the space. It was elegant and peaceful, making it easy to invite our families and friends into the space. One of our favorite things about this venue was the access to the space included! We got to arrive on Friday and use the house for our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner (for a small number of people). Then we stayed on property the night before the wedding and enjoyed the well kept cabin for the men and farmhouse for the women all morning until the wedding. We did choose to pay extra for the winery to be closed on Saturday morning (wedding day) which provided some relief from the hustle of setting up in the morning. We were very happy with this choice! Overall, Lovingston is a beautiful venue! Every detail is well kept and pleasing to the eye. The team was so helpful and took extra steps to make sure our wedding day happened as plans. Communication was excellent and they were very willing to hear our ideas and consider what we wanted for the day! We loved Lovingston and would recommend to anyone looking for a space to enjoy their wedding weekend!

ekend is a game changer— they are so intentional in helping out with your day and making sure you enjoy it all! Couldn’t have imagined our day anywhere else.

tic job remodeling the farmhouse and cabin! The barn was just being built when we booked but we knew with Tessa’s vision it would be as beautiful as the rest of it! Wedding was March 16, and the weather was perfect…..everything was perfect! Please don’t hesitate to book Lovingston Winery for your wedding or special occasion. What sets it apart is you get the whole place for the whole weekend…..and Wes and Tessa are fantastic to work with! Thank you for helping to make my daughters dream come true!

e knew we had found a special place. It was not hard to imagine our daughter’s wedding under the gorgeous oak tree standing tall in front of the 1900’s farmhouse. Being able to stay at the farmhouse during the wedding weekend, added so much convenience and precious family time together. The luxurious bridal suite was a highlight for sure, providing peaceful rest for the bride and excellent lighting for her to get ready. We fell in love with the entire property so much that we held the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception all at Lovingston Winery. Tessa and Wes are personable and eager to assist guests in any way. They promptly provided anything we may have forgotten, seamlessly filling in gaps we had overlooked. We look forward to visiting Lovingston for events in the future. Highly, highly recommend this venue!

. The winery is so magical & I have no doubt that 2024 couples will be pleased once they book with Lovingston!

being able to stay on property all weekend and feel like it was a wedding weekend instead of a wedding day. Super communicative and responsive in all aspects of working with them. Could not recommend them highly enough

ole wedding party stay on site which made the weekend so much smoother. The Tupelo House (event barn) is absolutely beautiful and such a fun place to dance the night away. Tessa and Wes were kind and helpful the entire time, and Tessa was so gracious with my many emails asking about small details for other vendors. They made us feel so welcome and valued, and we're so grateful for all of their help in making our day so special!

ly stayed to the grooms home, just down the path you never have to leave. The grounds are amazing as you have the Vineyard as a backdrop, the chef on site gives each person at the rehearsal dinner a choice of two amazing meals, and that is even made more amazing with their new barn for the reception. You cannot go wrong by choosing this venue at Lovingston Winery.

unday and were able to host our rehearsal dinner there with friends and family. Tessa and Wes were helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process but especially during the wedding weekend. They were able to loan us last minute items we forgot to pack and were willing to help move chairs from the ceremony to rehearsal area during cocktail hour. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. We are looking forward to going back and renting the cabin for weekend. Overall, the wedding package was affordable, and we would do it all over again!

homey, and the outbuildings add a nice mix of quaint and rustic. It’s a great option for having the whole bridal party together but traditionally separate. The owners were on-site, helpful during set-up and available for challenges or questions. I definitely recommend Lovingston Winery for the perfect Hallmark wedding, or any other event.

weather was absolutely perfect, and our guests loved it. We got countless compliments on our location + venue choice. But most impactful to us was the owners. Wes and Tessa are such a beautiful couple and so wonderful to work with. They were more than our venue’s owners, they became friends and encouragers to us throughout our wedding planning, and were so incredibly helpful on the day of. We can’t thank them enough. They truly treated us all like family, and were more than happy to help us in any way they could. You can truly see their hearts for serving others, and it elevated our whole experience beyond measure. I’m a VA wedding planner/coordinator, and I can honestly say that you will have a hard time finding a better venue in Virginia. I’ll be recommending the Lovingston Winery to everybody I know. If you’re still reading this, it’s your sign to book your wedding here :) With love, Will & Cait Parker <3

e with the property and the owners right away. Tessa and Wes were so supportive, helpful and caring through the whole process! We are so thankful to them and their willingness to be a part of our wedding :)

d to be amazed. The winery and the views of the mountains were unmatched but the family is what made the experience beyond our wildest dreams. Tessa and Wes and their entire family took such good care of us from logistics to decor to being our cheerleaders and holding our hands every step of the way. Our wedding day was the absolute best day of our lives and we could not have done it without the Lovingston team! Thank you all so much for taking such good care of us, you all went way above and beyond anything we could have dreamed of!

Tessa were extremely kind and helpful throughout the process. They were there to assist and help direct all the aspects of our big day. They were also so flexible in catering to our needs and wishes and making the last minute accommodations to make our day perfect. We couldn't have imagined our wedding at any other venue. I recommend this venue to anyone who considers it.

rom the season. The on-site accommodations are well-appointed for most - if not all - of your wedding party. The nearby bed and breakfasts and house rentals are plentiful, and the location is in a great spot situated between Charlottesville and Lynchburg. We will be having our wedding here in fall 2023 and mostly planning it remotely from the DC area. I preemptively wrote out approximately one thousand questions for Tessa. She quickly responded to my first inquiry, even on a Sunday evening, when venues typically don’t send out responses on Sunday or Monday. We quickly scheduled a call and she called me on time. She answered my barrage of questions with far more detail than I anticipated, from ceremony sites to accommodations and logistics. It felt like I was talking to family, which in a world of frigid wedding commercialization, was exactly what we were looking for. She even followed up with a laydown of what we discussed with additional photos - so much appreciated. After weeks of contacting venues and being on the fence agonizing for days over this one or that one, it took one short conversation with my fiancé to determine this was everything we had been looking for after speaking with Tessa. Start to finish, it was barely more than an hour between when she and I first spoke and when I called her back to say we wanted to book the winery, and less than 24 hours after I had found the place. Tessa is also confident enough in the venue that she’s planning her own wedding there as well. I believe that says a lot about the place, beyond what the visuals show. And did I mention, their wine is award-winning? If you are doing a winery wedding and buying it in bulk, you don’t want the distracting moment of the day to be how bad the wine was. Zero worries about that here. I am incredibly excited to get to have our wedding at this venue. If you’re even curious, try contacting them to see if it’s the right fit for you!
