We booked Lovesick for our wedding party in October and it was the best decision!! working with Jon and his team was smooth from the beginning, and they answered all questions and kept us moving on a nice timeline to make sure we were ready or the big day. We wanted to make sure we curated different vibes for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing and they executed fantastically. The dance floor was packed all night and they incorporated a bunch of different types of music seamlessly to make sure every guest was "heard." I can not recommend working with Lovesick enough for your event!! They nailed it and are a huge part of the feedback we've been getting on the wedding

From our very first video call, we knew we'd found the right person. Choosing a wedding DJ felt like such a high-stakes decision, but after that first conversation, we were completely at ease because it was clear that Doug was an incredible listener, clearly cared about us having the best possible experience, and had deep knowledge of how different musical genres land with a multigenerational crowd. That first impression set the tone for everything that followed.
I am a musician and very picky about how things sound. I can easily say that the technical side was flawless. The sound system and microphones worked perfectly all night, and every guest could hear clearly during the ceremony. The volume was easy to talk over at cocktail hour and dinner, and the dancing was appropriately higher volume without ever being too much. Not once did we hear a moment of screechy feedback during any part of the event, even when people giving speeches stood very far from the microphone; we were impressed given how often that goes wrong at events.
What really set Doug apart was how thoughtfully he wove our musical choices into a cohesive arc for the whole evening. He opened cocktail hour with a beautiful song that matched the tone and dreamy landscape of our garden venue perfectly. Dinner had a great variety of music that still felt completely cohesive, and we could feel the energy building slowly and intentionally as the night went on.
Doug also was calm, supportive, and creative with last-minute changes. When we decided on the wedding day to add a special entrance moment for us during the dinner, Doug had the perfect song ready to go — and it ended up being one of our favorite moments of the night. All of the planning meetings beforehand made everything so easy — when it came time to wrap up our first dance or the hora, Doug already knew exactly what we wanted and had telegraphed how we could communicate subtly to him to transition from one moment to the next.
The dance floor was where everything came together. Doug's song selections kept our older relatives engaged all night while our younger friends were raving about the playlist too.
There was one special unscripted final moment that went above and beyond our expectations: Doug worked in a special slow song near the end of the reception; getting to slow dance with my partner while our friends spontaneously lit up the room with their phone flashlights is something we'll never forget and created some of the best photos of the night.
We are so grateful we had the chance to work with Doug and would book him for any event again in a heartbeat.

In my opinion, the dance music makes or breaks a wedding, and Lovesick truly knocked it out of the park! Without the grooms asking, the DJ had the forethought to end the night with Born This Way, and all the guests surrounded us and started jumping up and down, and we will remember that moment forever. We ended up hiring Lovesick for both Stills and DJ and we couldn't have been happier. Jon + Jason take amazing photos that perfectly captured our day and were totally on board to forgo typically portraits. Keenan was our DJ and he absolutely nailed it. We were very particular with the music and provided over 12+ hours of "inspiration" which he perfectly distilled it into a balanced cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing mix. 100/10 would recommend Lovesick to anyone who is getting married in Philly or beyond!

ome of our preview photos back, we don't have a single complaint only an ecstatic review. As people, they are the kindest, most fun people who were so easy to get along with, and really listened to what we wanted and the vibe we were trying to bring. As people who feel very awkward taking posed photos and being the center of attention, they made us feel so comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole process and were able to capture our day EXACTLY how we pictured. During the planning process and mapping out the day they offered us some great insight and suggestions on how to structure everything and keep things flowing and laid back like we wanted. They honestly kept me so much less stressed throughout the wedding week and wedding day! On the actual wedding day, literally almost every guest came up to us RAVING about how awesome they were. Personally, as a guest at a wedding (and I've been to alot) I've never been so wowed by the photographers to feel so inclined to tell the couple, so that's saying a lot. Also, everyone has been asking us when we are getting photos back because they are so pumped to see them. In terms of the DJs, again during the planning process.... AWESOME. Completely in line with helping us make our day not feel like a typical wedding with the same boring songs. We gave them a pretty extensive playlist and the way they mapped out the flow of the music and genres throughout the reception was perfect. Great vibes during the meal and kept all my dancing people on the dance floor towards the end. In the middle of the reception we looked over at our table and noticed they had laid out some polaroids of some of the best moments of the day! It was so cute and thoughtful! My husband cried. It just shows their attention to detail and how much they truly love and care about what they do. Also, we decided we wanted to run into the ocean after the reception and Jon did not miss a beat. He was ready to go with a go pro and swimsuit and was right in there with us. Like come on, what photographers are doing that? Jon and Jason even hung around and waited for us to go back to our place and change to get some sunset photos. Literally, above and beyond. Our day would not have been the same without them and we could not be happier with the experience.

ched out to the team regarding DJ services for my reception (or as I wanted to call it 'Drunk Prom' because I wanted absolutely nothing about the day to feel 'wedding-like') because I thought I had already found my photographer. However, after chatting with Jon for all of about 30 minutes, I had immediate regrets and canceled with the previous photographer that same day. From the process of reaching out to the team initally, to our therapy session phone calls, to actually meeting the guys and have our stylized photoshoot, to the day of Drunk Prom, I never once felt weighed down by a single planning step with these guys. From the minute I started planning this party, at a venue that absolutely did not fit my style whatsoever, I knew Jon and Jason were the guys to help give a 'F U' to the standard venue wedding photography and add the edginess that naturally felt like ME. The only point docked goes to Jason for his complete lack of awareness to musical genius, AKA Thirty Seconds to Mars. Seriously Jon, Jason, and Keenan were incredible. Their work is far beyond top notch and the vibe they brought to the event was just far beyond our expectations - special shout out to Keenan for showing up to Drunk Prom ready to rock with his mohawk and all. They knew we wanted an edgy vibe and wanted a way to intertwine our love of rock and metal music in the event without scaring guests off and they absolutely nailed it. nearly a year later, we still get compliments from our guests that was the most fun "wedding" they're ever been to and honest to God, it was all because of the LOVESICK team. Drunk Prom would have been nothing without them.

ght as easy and fun as possible for us. He put in an extensive amount of time to talk to us, get to know us personally, and really dig into our musical taste. His music selections were a fantastic blend of our specific recommendations and other songs that perfectly fit the vibe. He always played the right song at the right moment and you could tell he was smartly watching the crowd and responding to what they were reacting to in real time. The DJs were super adaptable to sudden changes in circumstances (it started pouring 15 minutes before our ceremony and we had to shift inside) and there to make helpful announcements and keep the flow of the night perfectly organized the whole way, while fading into the background ideally during the rest of the party. When we lost the script for an announcement we wanted to make, before we could even look for it.. he was there next to us with it pulled up on his phone, thinking two steps ahead about what we would need and how he could be helpful, even though he didn't need to. He really went above and beyond. All our dealings with Lovesick were great and we can't recommend Adam or Lovesick more highly!

1) was familiar with a wide variety of genres (from classic rock and 80s hits to current pop and EDM)
2) would take into account specific songs we wanted played but also could put together a perfect playlist based on minimal guidance of a general vibe or genre
3) was a true professional that knows how to play the right songs at the right time in the right order and make everything flow well together
They met all of this criteria and more.
In the weeks running up to the big day, we did multiple check-ins to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted and understood the day-of schedule. They also coordinated well with our venue and coordinator to make sure there were no unwelcome surprises the day of.
We had Jon & Doug on the day of the wedding, and the timing of different songs, the transitions, and overall way they were able to include many of the songs on our list along with others that went well with our vibe and preferences was incredible. They also got some family members dancing we never thought we would ever see dance in our lives. I couldn't recommend Lovesick more!

and during the planning process we had a few planning meetings that were about an hour each but it was honestly great since Lovesick takes time to get to know the couple and your music preferences. Adam and Ryan absolutely crushed it on wedding day!!! My now husband and I are of mixed cultures and I wanted Lovesick to incorporate both some American and Indian music on the big day and they did an amazing job at it!! Soo many people told us how good our DJ was after the wedding and I remember just loving every song that was playing, I never wanted to leave the dancefloor. s such a great experience. Jon is a firm believer in you don't have to do something just because it's a typical wedding thing. He helped us create the wedding flow that we wanted. On top of that, he was really receptive to all our music selections. Our dance floor was full of people the whole night. What stands out most about our wedding reception was our dinner playlist which reflected the music we enjoying cooking to; it made a big dinner feel so intimate to us. Jon also ended the night with a cover version of first dance song that we absolutely love. We would recommend Lovesick to everyone!

Jon helped us tremendously to plan the music and create specific vibes and atmospheres for the various aspects of the wedding, including the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. It was truly a collaborative process where we ended up creating the perfect musical soundtrack for the day that will be in our memories forever!
What drew us to Lovesick was passion for music and focus on the couples that you do not find with other event DJs. My husband and I did not want a MC, but rather a music guru who could perfectly compliment the emotion of the day. Within the first few minutes of speaking with Jon, we knew we found that match. Jon’s expertise in these events was invaluable, and we could tell immediately that he would fit into the vibe we created. Jon also made a comment that truly resonated with us- he called himself a human Pandora and said that he wanted to know my husband and I as music lovers in order to perfect our soundtrack. Little did we know that this focus would lead to a playlist that was beyond perfect, with not one bad song.
In working with Jon, my husband and I learned more about ourselves and each other as we listened to and talked about the music that we wanted to hear. This was such a fun experience for us, and led to many playlists that we listened to at home and throughout the months leading up to the wedding.
For the ceremony itself, Jon was amazing in coordinating the music- finding some obscure songs that we selected for the ceremony and special dances, and ensuring that everything from the timing and the version of the song was perfect. Jon also gave us invaluable advice on how to break up our vibes and make various parts of the evening distinct and interesting to our guests. We through Jon a challenge in hosting a smaller wedding with a wide age range, and Jon was able to create a playlist that we not only loved, but that our guests also raved about. From the dancers to those who were enjoying other parts of the venue, everyone commented on how awesome the playlist was and how great of a DJ Jon and team were.
Finally, we cannot thank Jon enough for working with our other vendors to allow the night to flow seamlessly. Jon kept us on track and hit all important moments in the night without my husband and I ever having to worry about the schedule or timing. This was a huge relief to us and allowed us to be fully in the moment with our guests. Overall, Jon and team far exceeded our expectations and provided an invaluable service to us throughout the planning process and wedding. We cannot thank them enough for providing such a perfect soundtrack that still evokes such powerful memories of this most magical evening.

the wedding for me was one of the most important parts of our wedding. The time and effort Adam spent getting to know us truly made us feel heard and understood. We were able to feel comfortable in trusting Adam to make our day perfect. I had a specific vision for myself walking down the aisle and our first dance with regards to the music. Adam was able to work with me to make sure that each second was exactly what we dreamed it would be. During the wedding, we could not have had more fun dancing the night away. It was incredible to see even people who never dance, get up on the dance floor and let loose. I can’t begin to share how many of our guests continue to rave about how incredible our DJ was and how much fun they had all night. Where his talents came into play was the dancing/reception music.
