The Love Jones Band was crucial to making our wedding so perfect. The band was incredible, from playing at the ceremony to the reception itself. The musical selections were so good...
and kept everyone on the dance floor having a great time, much more than we have seen at most weddings. Our guests have been raving about the band. They also said it was great to see a band that really seemed to be enjoying themselves rather than just doing a job. We join them in those sentiments.
We also were so pleased by the way the evening flowed so well and the band was an important part of that, keeping the event festive and important but not pressured with announcements. We wanted a very relaxed feel for the wedding reception, and it happened! Lots of folks came up to us and said the evening seemed to evolve organically with no stress or pressure on the wedding party or guests and that made it such fun. We are so happy we selected Love Jones Band to play at our wedding and can’t imagine a better choice!
AMAZING BAND!!!! From the moment I first started talking to Mark he was extremely accommodating and easy to work with. We had a first dance choreographed to a youtube video versio...
n of our song and asked they play it exactly as the video and they did it PERFECTLY!! They had everyone on the dance floor all night long (even people that I've seen normally not dance at weddings at all). I continue to get complements on how awesome the band was and how much fun it was. Love Jones truly made my wedding day amazing. If you are thinking about booking them, do it. You won't regret it.
From the very first conversation with Mark I knew we should book the Love Jones Band. We were invited to see them play and then we went to a few more showcases of other bands that ...
same week but we kept comparing them all to LJB. Mark, the band leader, was great to work with and really accommodated everything we asked for. Even some last minute requests for ceremony music were accommodated and the ceremony music was exactly what I wanted. For the reception the band was absolutely amazing and we got so many compliments (and still are getting compliments) about how great the band was. They really got everyone up and dancing the whole night. Can’t thank them enough! So happy we had love jones band for our wedding day!
I was hesitant to book the Love Jones because they do not have as many reviews on The Knot or Wedding Wire as other bands do. As soon as I began emailing with Mark, the band leader...
, however, I knew the band would be a good fit for us. Mark invited us to come see them perform live and we booked them the next day. The Love Jones absolutely killed it at our wedding. When I was upstairs during cocktail hour (before our entrances), I could hear them playing and I actually thought it was the pre-recorded song--seriously, they sounded that good. They worked with our "Do Not Play" and "Please Play" list, including downloading a number of songs that we requested to hear during their breaks. I have never had more fun dancing in my life, and our guests all raved about them afterward. Don't hesitate, just book them! Thank you Love Jones for giving us the best night of our lives.
The Love Jones Band played at our wedding on 7/29/17 and we couldn't be any happier that we decided to book them. They were absolutely incredible the night of our wedding. The da...
nce floor was packed the entire time. All of our guests commented on how the band made it impossible to sit down !! They really know how to read the crowd and keep the party going. Definitely one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning!!
Live music at the wedding with an amazing host, who knows how to control the crowd and keep everyone on their toes, now that is a rocking wedding party! RIMAS FILMS had filmed a we...
dding at Park Hyatt Washington DC and the music for the party was covered by The Love Jones Band! The band had each and every wedding guest on their feet dancing away. Singing a mix of wonderful songs, which the happy newlyweds new by heart, the Love Jones band was a wonderful entertainment tool, anyone would enjoy to have for their wedding!
A band was a must for our December wedding and hiring Love Jones Band was an awesome decision! Our dance floor was never empty! I danced all night! They played a lot of new music (...
which we loved) and mixed in some awesome classics! All of my early communication with the group was easy and detailed. Once we decided to book them, the communication and process was smooth. Love Jones Band learned the song for our first dance and did a wonderful job recreating it. My family is very musical, many who play instruments of their own and some who currently plan in bands, all of them were very impressed by the musicality of Love Jones Band! As our cocktail hour was a huge amount of food we wanted to have a dance set prior to dinner. Love Jones Band was flexible with us and the schedule for the night and was very easy to work with! I spoke with a number of agency bands at the beginning of my band search and each time I felt as though I was being sold a product and did not know its real value. (When I wasn’t ready to book a band the agent, who was not a member of the band I was looking to book, would lower the price or add another product to the deal.) My experience with Love Jones Band was the opposite, it was genuine, attentive, and caring. Love Jones Band is filled with talented musicians who enjoy what they do and care about making your event the best it can be!
Love Jones Band was spectacular. From the low-key tunes at the cocktail played on the sax and the piano to the high energy dance songs played during our wedding reception, Love Jo...
nes was simply amazing. Everyone was up and dancing the entire night. The perfect blend of oldies and new age music was played. Gary was such a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. Not once did I have a worry about how things would go at the wedding. Gary paid such close attention to detail and helped ensure that I was comfortable with the flow of the night so everything went smoothly. I would absolutely recommend Love Jones Band for your next event -- you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you Gary and team for a wonderful night and a rockin' party!!
You are crazy to not book The Love Jones band as your wedding band right this minute! They truly made our wedding! Gary was so easy to work with and helped plan every detail. He ...
was able to give our cocktail hour the romantic feel that we wanted and then carry that throughout dinner, and then the band really got EVERYONE on the dance floor for the rest of the night! I highly recommend using The Love Jones Band for both your cocktail hour and wedding reception!

ere so much fun! They are worth every penny!
The band was great to work with and did an amazing job. I would definitely get them again!
We hired the Love Jones for our wedding in October, 2010. They were amazing! Gary, the band leader, did a wonderful job with the planning process, which was all done via email and ...
phone. We hadn't even heard them play live prior to booking them, but relied on the positive reviews and sound clips posted to their website. We originally found them via a search program. The reception went very well- they were able to time things perfectly. A good cooridnator really makes a difference to making a reception run smoothly.
