Awful experience, all of my friends and I were denied from purchasing alcohol because our IDs are vertical (despite that we are all 23 years old). The waiter told me that it’s rest...
aurant policy to prevent teenagers from using fake IDs but this is ridiculous. As someone who works in nightlife, I can assure you that 99% of fake IDs are horizontal IDs. Matter of fact, I have never confiscated a vertical fake ID. So not only is their policy preventing legal adults from drinking, but it’s not even stopping underage kids from drinking. If you are the manager or owner responsible for this policy, you’re genuinely an idiot. I mean, seriously, instead of buying an ID scanner, or taking any other sensible steps to stop underage drinking, you decide to practically ban all 21 and 22 year olds from drinking because most haven't updated their drivers licenses?
The Lorelei was the perfect venue for our wedding reception.
We wanted something quaint, intimate & scenic; and that is EXACTLY what we got!
Erik and Rob were both so amazing to ...
work with and really made the planning stress free! The staff during the evening of our reception were accommodating, helpful and pleasant in every way!
Wonderful!! We held our wedding and reception at the the Lorelei after having been there many times before. If you want to have an absolutely beautiful wedding with top-notch food ...
and service that is still affordable, do yourself a big favor and talk to the good people at Lorelei in Islamorada. I cannot stress how great Lorelei was. An event planner was not in our budget, so I planned everything but was a little worried about the "day of" logistics. Lorelei's staff are experts in event logistics! They helped us with some decisions and as good as they were with the planning suggestions, they were even better with the execution. They moved tables and chairs for 100 people literally in minutes after the ceremony, and by all accounts the food fantastic. They made life easy. I am a bit of a control freak but went through the whole evening without a single worry or concern. Highly recommend!!!
Bob's Bunz was awesome as a wedding cake vendor. Gloria managed the whole process and was extremely quick to respond to all questions with helpful information. We ended up deciding...
on a key lime and funfetti wedding cake with coconut buttercream filling and key lime buttercream frosting, with white chocolate seashell decoration. The cake was delicious and a big hit with our guests.
We also purchased key lime and white chocolate cookies as a wedding favor, which were incredible - we had a few bags left over, and I continued to enjoy them for more than a week after the wedding - they actually got better with age! One regret of our trip to Florida is not actually visiting Bob's Bunz in person. We will definitely go next time we're in the area!
My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at Lorelei in March 2016. We had actually never eaten there prior to our rehearsal dinner but multiple people recommended...
this location to us. We are so happy they did because everything exceeded our expectations! The food and service were excellent and you can’t beat the view. We were outside on the beach in a private area where we were able to watch the sunset during dinner. Everything was very casual and all of our guests had a great time. My contact person was John and he was very easy to get in touch with and always answered my emails in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
We recently hosted a destination wedding in the Florida Keys. Supportive of our choice, the grooms family chose to host all guests; for the rehearsal dinner. Longterm visitors, and...
now residents of Islamorada, we encouraged them to check out the Lorelei Restaurant. The event was memorable, and the food was delicious. We especially loved the conch fritters! The Lorelei set up a separate location, and bar service, for our special event. Staff was specifically assigned to cater to our needs. Tables were nicely decorated, and food was replenished frequently. We have always enjoyed the food, at Lorelei, having brought our children for dinner since the early 90's. As retirees, we frequent Lorelei for their happy hour experience and spectacular sunsets! It is also our "go to" dinner spot when hosting out-of-town guests. Lorelei did not disappoint for our special dinner; and I am glad the groom's family agreed with our recommendation. All guests extended their evening, beyond the "planned event"; enjoying the sunset and live entertainment. And, of course, the sunset was spectacular!!! Couldn't have asked for anything more!
