omehow had absolutely everything covered before we even realized we needed it. Sanja was a LIFESAVER. My feet were killing me from my heels? She had foot-numbing spray. My bustle came undone? She fixed it. It came undone AGAIN? She fixed it AGAIN. A bridesmaid’s dress wasn’t working with her bra? Sanja had a needle and thread and literally sewed it into place. We had a quick room flip after the ceremony and needed place cards put out with assigned seats at every table? Sanja made sure every single card was exactly where it was supposed to be. And the biggest thing was that we never once had to worry about the behind-the-scenes stuff. We didn’t have to talk to the hotel or any of our other vendors about arrival times, valet, setup, or any of the little details that could have easily become stressful. Sanja handled ALL of it. Our entire wedding party kept talking about how amazing she was, and a few of our guests noticed it too. She was kind, calm, incredibly capable, and just always there when we needed her. She made it so that we could actually enjoy our wedding day instead of worrying about everything happening behind the scenes. We are so incredibly grateful we had her there on our wedding day! She was truly the absolute best!!!

Our wedding party kept telling us that Nicole was “worth her weight in gold” and that she was BORN for this role, and we could not agree more! Having someone we trusted so completely allowed us to be fully present and enjoy our wedding day knowing Nicole had everything handled. If you're looking for a planner who genuinely invests in your vision and works tirelessly to bring it to life, without ever taking over, it's Lori. We hired her to plan our wedding, but what we got was so much more than "planning." We had a very unconventional vision — a bespoke wedding at our own house — which came with a mountain of logistical challenges most planners would have talked us out of. Lori never did. She used her deep industry experience and creativity to find a way to make nearly every idea we had actually work, and when something truly couldn't be done, she was diligent about exploring every possible option before ever telling us no. What really set her apart was how she worked with us. At every decision point, she'd bring a range of thoughtful options along with her honest recommendation — but she never pushed. She let it stay our wedding, while making sure we always felt supported and never overwhelmed. She even weighed in on our rehearsal dinner, which wasn't part of her scope at all, simply because she wanted the whole weekend to be perfect for us. And then there was the day itself. Lori did my hair, helped me get dressed, and bustled my gown — things that go so far beyond a typical planner's job description that we still can't quite believe it. She was there for every detail, big and small, with the same calm, generous energy the whole way through. Her attitude, especially day-of, was something else entirely. No matter what was happening behind the scenes, Lori was an absolute joy — upbeat, warm, and steady, and she never once let on if anything was off track or going wrong. She kept the mood light, calmed down the very large bridal parties when nerves were running high, and radiated this genuine excitement for our wedding that never felt like an act — she truly cared. She was the last person I saw before I walked down the aisle, and the sense of calm she gave me in that moment is something I'll never forget. One more thing worth mentioning: every single vendor we worked with adored her. Lori is clearly one of the most respected planners in the industry, and that respect translated directly into our experience — every vendor showed up excited, invested, and easy to work with, because they wanted to be there working alongside her.

his brother’s wedding…then his other brother’s…we were sold. Lori and the Lola team have all their ducks in a row. They have the tools, templates, and timelines needed to plan and execute a successful wedding. But more importantly, they have the many years of vendor relationship-building, the hard-earned knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, and the unfaltering dedication to making your vision come to life that takes your wedding day from special to stratospheric. Of course there are many (manyyy) decisions for the couple to make when planning a wedding, but Lori put in so much of the back-end work to help streamline them for us. Her vendor recommendations were top-notch and our regularly scheduled meetings were as pain-free as they can be for two people who aren’t “into” event planning. The day-of support was critical - I think we would have been 2 hours behind had Lori not be ushering us through the timeline like the pro that she is. Lori also gets an A+ on vibes: she’s like your planning bestie that is your biggest cheerleader or your sage reality check depending on what you need in the moment. She also has a great eye for design, color, florals, etc. and was an invaluable input for those types of decisions. Multiple guests came up to us at our wedding and said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Maybe everyone says that but if it’s true (we think it is!), we have Lori to thank for it. We had the time of our lives at an absolutely stunning ceremony and reception, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

People constantly mentioned the attention to detail, and one guest even highlighted that the most impressive thing about the wedding was not the extravagance but rather all the logistics, how everything operated so precisely. All that praise is due to Michelle, Kristy, and the entire LOLA team. Our wedding was four large events in four separate venues and numerous smaller rituals, involving over twenty separate vendors. Yet, nothing fell through the cracks. On our wedding ceremony day, we were faced with torrential downpour and unpredictable weather. From the beginning, our biggest desire was to have our ceremony outdoors. Michelle and Kristy worked tirelessly, fighting for our dream to somehow make that outdoors wedding a reality, coming up with some brilliant ideas with the help of Lori. See, they didn’t take the easy route of just sticking with the rain plan. They cared a lot. We can’t stress this enough because you can’t figure that out by looking through portfolios or interviewing planners. It is found in all those moments where Michelle and Kristy picked up on one of our discomforts and gave us some quiet space, where they understood what we wanted (sometimes even better than we ourselves realized), where one of them would dive to the ground to look through their bag for a pair of scissors or to help place dance shoes on the bride right before she had to go onto the stage, where they literally helped rig an important décor installation when a venue installer did not show up. Michelle and Kristy helped us build a team of all-star vendors and venues for our wedding. They have the best connections in the Chicagoland area, but it never felt like they were pushing anyone on us. Instead, it really felt like they were understanding our needs and guiding us to the vendors that best fit those needs. They would always give us a list to choose from and never influence our decisions unless we explicitly asked for guidance. They helped handle all the communication with these vendors so that we did not get stuck with small details and logistics that were unimportant for us. There were so many conversations that happened in the background between vendors, venues, and LOLA that we thankfully did not have to join. As decisions started to mount, Michelle and Kristy were extremely organized and helped keep us on track with a planning timeline and a plethora of spreadsheets. One of the best testaments to their level of organization was their four separate minute by minute timelines. Our families never run on time, but that weekend, everything ran like clockwork. On the day-of, they were everywhere all at once, in the hotel, at the venue, working with our family, working with vendors. They knew exactly what to escalate to us and which things to handle themselves. That week, we got to know more LOLA members such as Nicole, Lori, and Sanja who were invaluable and helped make it a whole team effort that put LOLA’s best values on full display. Our wedding week, despite its intricacies, felt flawless to us. That is thanks to Michelle and Kristy’s impressive work ethic, battle-tested experience, relentless pursuit of perfection, and simply their desire to make our dreams come true.

She never once made us feel like a burden, even when I had a million questions. She truly cares, and you feel that every single step of the way. Beyond everything she handles logistically, Michelle is simply a joy to be around. She brings such positive, fun, easy energy that made the entire experience enjoyable. We looked forward to our calls with her, and my family and wedding party all loved her. She was such a joy to work with that we were genuinely sad when the planning ended, but we know we’ll stay in touch far beyond the wedding. And on the wedding day… I cannot emphasize this enough… Michelle made it possible for me to fully enjoy every second. I did not stress about a single thing. She handled every detail, every transition, every vendor, every question before it even got to me. I got to be present on my wedding day because of her. That is the biggest gift any planner can give. Michelle is one of the hardest workers I’ve ever met. She is committed, reliable, creative, and truly wants your day to be perfect. She goes above and beyond in ways you don’t even expect. She took our vision, elevated it, and created a wedding day more beautiful than anything I had imagined.

hter was working full time and attending night school, and I was out-of-state, so I chose full planning services. Such a great decision. I would recommend full planning even if you live in Chicago. Michelle got to know my daughter and her fiancé (and me) and she made this a fun process. Michelle was patient, incredibly organized, efficient, and professional. The bride and groom did not have a firm vision for their wedding (and neither did I, to everyone’s relief). Michelle was terrific in helping explore and develop their ideas to include a gorgeous outdoor ceremony, fabulous flowers, and unique personal touches. Michelle’s expertise invaluable in finding the venue, helping us select and meet with terrific vendors, and find a great band that rocked the night. Michelle’s organizational skills were key to managing the guest list (around 250 invitees, with different guests attending different pre-wedding events), preparing timelines for the planning process, arranging guest transportation (including for persons with limited mobility), and keeping everyone organized on the wedding day. She patiently helped us with etiquette questions and how to thoughtfully acknowledge loved ones who had passed and were deeply missed at the wedding. Cheers to Michelle and LOLA! She made this look easy! The wedding could not have been more beautiful or more joyful! We are very grateful.

The engaged couple was too busy with work and life to be able to do this on their own. After interviewing a few wedding planners, they decided on Michelle from LOLA Event Productions. It only took one meeting with Michelle for my husband and I to realize this would be a worthwhile expense for the wedding. Michelle wowed us with her organization and planning skills. It was great for us as parents to understand the timeline, budget and possible options for creating a wedding that the couple would be thrilled with. Michelle really took the time to understand the couple and their personalities. Throughout the process she presented to couple the decisions that had to be made and options that could meet what they were looking for. She was careful not to persuade the couple one way or another, unless she really felt strongly about an option. On the day of the wedding and quite honestly the entire weekend, we were all relaxed and did not worry about any of the details because we had a timeline with details in hand from Michelle. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend with our family and friends which was so important to us. For the couple weeks following the wedding we basked in the “afterglow” of a beautiful ceremony and celebration for a beautiful couple. We could not have done this without Michelle!

Her reputation among Chicago vendors is well-deserved. She is easy to communicate with and responsive across multiple channels (regular meetings, email, text, phone call). She is very organized, and with good attention to detail. If any difficult personalities came up during the wedding planning process she handled them with professionalism and grace. No questions or ideas were ever dumb - she simply explained how something look in action so we could make the decision. She understood our vision completely, and helped us connect with talented vendors that could execute the vision within our budget. Throughout the planning process, she could foresee potential problems and avert them ahead of time due to her experience, or solve them in the moment (things will ALWAYS come up in a wedding, after all) with excellent problem solving skills. As well, she was experienced with South Asian weddings and very culturally competent. All of that's just about what she's like as a wedding planner. Personalities matter, especially when you are working so closely, for so long, for such a logistically complex event. She consistently went above-and-beyond, and was so warm and easygoing that everyone working with her felt at ease with her, but also assertive and able to advocate as needed. You can tell she has passion for the job. 10/10, she made our dreams come true!

ith her we knew she was going to be the one who was going to bring our dream wedding to life. Carly is prompt, resourceful, professional, confident, and has a strong attention to detail and you can tell she’s just really amazing at her job. Once we signed the contract with Carly we were set up with a Google Drive that became very helpful throughout the entire planning process. We really appreciated how organized everything was and that was the case with every other aspect of planning our wedding with Carly. When you’re in the beginning stages of planning a wedding there are so many decisions to make ahead of you, but it seemed like in the blink of an eye we had just about all vendors booked because of Carly. She offers suggestions, introductions to vendors, answers any questions about the vendors, and makes it an easy process for all parties involved. She always kept us on track and made sure we stuck to our deadlines, which was a HUGE help! When it came to our theme, Carly took all of our inspiration, photos, Pinterest boards, etc. and provided us with a mood board that completely encapsulated what we were looking for. Every little detail was considered, from the flowers to the lighting, creating a wedding day that we’re getting compliments on to this day. The day of the wedding could not have gone any better. It really was the perfect day. Everything was seamless and Carly was always prepared to assist with anything we needed. The timeline Carly created for us went exactly as planned and there was not a single hiccup the entire day.
