Overall, I loved my wedding hair. It was better than I could have pictured. But the details surrounding working with Alyssa were not so great. I became very frustrated by the styl...
ists being late. I had booked with Alyssa well over a year prior and then approximately 1 month before, she told me she was going to assist with another wedding on the same day as mine but she would bring two assistants in order to get done one time. So with that information, we had a set a hair schedule (with approval by Alyssa) to begin at 10am and be done by 1pm. Three days prior to my wedding, Alyssa texted me and said her and the other stylists would arrive sometime between 9:40-10:20am. As this was the week of my wedding and had enough to worry about, I decided to let it go and trust she would still complete all the hair by 1pm as previously discussed. All the hairstylists arrived 20-30 minutes late which lead to putting the rest of the timeline off. The last girl's hair wasn't even started until after 1pm. Thank god it was a simple style or the whole day would have even been more late. It lead to stress on the wedding morning that I was trying to avoid. I had orginally asked Alyssa to start at 8am but she assured me 10am would be fine. It felt as she prioritized the wedding earlier in the day over mine. Also, following the wedding, Alyssa texted me and asked for tips, which I felt was unprofessional. It actually brought negativity to my honeymoon as I was enjoying my newlywed bliss and it was interrupted by her asking for a tip, which I had previously told her that I wouldn’t worry about until after the wedding. Another note if you are considering booking with Alyssa is that all communication is done over instagram or text. Although not a huge deal, it lead to dm'ing contracts through instagram rather than email, which all my other vendors insisted on email for a record of communication. Not a huge deal, but in hindsight, I feel this was a red flag. Again, overall, I am happy with my wedding hair but the stress that surrounding it with the details definitely took away from my peace around my day.
Alyssa was truly one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day! She came to our venue on July 5th, 2025, and styled my hair in a beautiful updo that was everything I envision...
ed and more. She also did my mother-in-law’s updo and styled several of my bridesmaids—everyone looked absolutely stunning.
What really sets Alyssa apart is her incredible attention to detail, her warm and welcoming personality, and the genuine excitement she brings to being a part of your big day. From the trial to the wedding morning, she was consistently communicative, punctual, and such a calming, fun presence to have around.
She made my vision come to life effortlessly, and I felt so confident and beautiful thanks to her work. I can’t recommend Alyssa enough—her talent with wedding hair, positive energy, and professionalism make her a dream to work with!
Alyssa canceled on me 1 month from my wedding date. Before that she insisted on starting around 5am for a 1:30pm wedding-only 4 people were getting hair done….I compromised and was...
going to make an early start work but then she texted 1 month from my wedding offering to bring an assistant so everyone could be done by 7:30?!?!?! Again for a 1:30 wedding. It’s all because she double booked herself and prioritized the other wedding instead of mine, likely because she was making more money from them. Her assistant then decided she couldn’t do it so Alyssa then completely cancelled on me. She offered other options-but I specifically found and booked her based on her work almost a full year ago. Why would I want a last pick hairstylist on the most important day of my life? The lack of professionalism is unreal. He communication is very poor. 0/10 would not recommend. I still can’t believe I was forced to find a whole new hairstylist 1month from my wedding.

n she messaged me to set up a trial and talk about the day itself. For the trial, we met at her salon which was so so cute! We picked a date the week of the wedding to ensure that we both felt comfortable with the look and that it could be duplicated well in a few days. She was so nice and fun to work with - if I didn't live in Lincoln I would honestly would use her as a regular stylist for cuts and colors as well as special events. The night after the trial we talked a little bit more about how many girls and what was all needed. We ran into a bit of a problem where we thought we would not get all of the girls done, but she agreed to come in an hour early and we even finished earlier than expected. My girls all had inspo pics that she recreated beautifully. Not only did she recreate inspo, but I also had a few girls without inspo and she just used her expertise to do what would look good on them. My mom even got her hair done - nervous because she has always gone to the same hair lady and had shorter hair to begin with. Alyssa eased her worries and made her hair beautiful - nothing too over the top and away from her normal, but just a little special.
All in all, she was amazing and I would recommend her to everyone!
