We found Lit Cocktails through our venue’s recommended BIPOC and small business list and we absolutely loved having them bartend for our wedding! The different tiers of packages they had to offer were easy to follow and made choosing very easy. They offered a bunch of fun cocktail choices as well and were even able to help us come up with drink ideas when I wanted to incorporate a Hennessy cocktail. I also very much appreciated that they offered a liquor catering/rental option (that was so easy/flexible to adjust and work with) since we didn’t have the energy to buy and provide our own alcohol for the wedding. It was so seamless for us and our wedding planner to work with Lit Cocktails! They were very professional and provided a fun, smooth bar experience for us and our guests. Diamond and Sade were also just so kind and warm every time we stopped by the bar! We highly recommend Lit Cocktails for any wedding or event bartending needs!

One of the happiest days of my life was my wedding day. Although happy, it was stressful and nerve-wracking. Just prior to walking down the aisle, I took a shot to ease my nerves. Sounds weird but, I thought, "I'd like to ease people's nerves on their big day." Thus, Lit Cocktails was born! Providing you with ease and relief on your big day --- alcoholically.
We've bartended over 100 events from weddings to baby showers, film screenings, birthday parties, business events, bar mitzvahs --- if your event needs drinks, we're there.
We love EVERYONE. As a Black, LGBTQ, woman-owned business, we are all-inclusive.

e us a false sense of security telling us that she had our back and that she wanted to make sure that we had the perfect wedding. We were able to meet up with her and try her cocktails a month and a half before the wedding and were incredibly disappointed in the results. I have bartended for many years and haven't tasted anything that sweet or unbalanced. Her drinks were unimaginative and gave everyone headaches the next day. We knew we had to go with her because of the contract so I politely asked if I could get together with her to show her how I wanted a specific cocktail made to which she told me she didn't have the time. We also added 20 people to the wedding so we asked to add on her wife as a partner (paying her more money) as well as to make a mocktail for our non-drinkers. She told me that adding a mocktail was outside her scope earlier in the week and asked ME TO DO IT MYSELF ON MY WEDDING DAY!!! Without so much as a phone call, she sent us an email to quit ONE WEEK before the wedding at 10:30pm at night as we were packing to leave for our wedding. In her email, she said that we had added on too much and it was now "outside her scope". Unless you want overly sugary "cocktails" for a crowd of 10, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. She caused us so much stress, but luckily, we were able to find someone WAY better than her that included alcohol for less money.

pointed by all the false claims in your review. I was hoping some time and reflection on your part would improve your disposition but I see, sadly, it hasn't.
As you have noted in your review, I do strive to put my clients at ease and provide support for them on their journey to their wedding day.
This includes the tasting you mentioned, which I charge a very small fee to cover ingredients and travel. At the end of that two-hour tasting of over 10 different cocktails, not once did you express any dissatisfaction with any of the drinks, but instead raved about the drinks and asked for refills (specifically the espresso martini, which you chose as one of your specialty cocktails).
Following this tasting, I continued to work with your additional demands of uncompensated site visits to a location over an hour outside my service area and an additional uncompensated tasting.
This still was not enough to satisfy you. I was asked to attend a second site visit, which I politely declined. You then asked for another uncompensated tasting to "practice" making a Painkiller, a drink that I supplied you with during our initial tasting. Unable to accommodate your last minute request, I asked you to send me your version of the recipe, so I could be sure to make it to your standards on your wedding day and you proceeded to send me the exact same recipe I used to prepare this drink at your tasting.
To clarify on which services were "out of scope," meaning, not that I cannot provide these services, but that these services do incur extra charges.
These services include:
• A third specialty cocktail (two are included with my package)
• Pre-batching those 3 specialty cocktails, which I simply added on an hour of service time to be able to prepare this in time for service
• The addition of 20 more guests, which changes the initial service quote
• The addition of 2 mocktails, also pre-batched, which incurs an additional charge for additional ingredients and prep time necessary and is also considered a specialty cocktail. This, you added on a week before your event and insisted on making yourself, so as not to incur the extra charges.
• The addition of a second bartender, who you repeatedly refer to as "my wife". She is, in fact, my business partner and a certified bartender.
All of the above services were added on after our initial consultation, within the weeks leading up to your wedding. And after I updated your invoice (in which I was already giving you a discounted rate) to include some of these changes, you proceeded to call me and scream at me over daring to charge you extra for things you asked for. I am very mindful of budgets and have worked with countless clients to find solutions and services that fit within their budgets. I, however, am a business and cannot work for free.
Any stress added to your plate, was due to your unwillingness to properly compensate me for these additions as well as making constant changes leading up to the week of your wedding. In the 3 years I've been in business and over a hundred events my business partner and I have bartended, you are the only client I have had to part ways with.
I am happy you found someone you trusted more than me to make your wedding a success, and I wish you all the best on your new marriage.
