Our event manager was Olivia Rylander (amazing and so communicative and accommodating). Patti was the catering sales manager, and Traci was our banquet captain. Everything ran so smoothly. So many guests commented on how wonderful everything was.
My son and his now wife had their wedding cocktail [actually mocktail] hour with appetizers, reception and post-wedding breakfast at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort. It was so well done!
First the mocktail hour was held in the room by the Marquee and with availability to go outside. The appetizers were fantastic (we had the shrimp in pastry, beef in puff pastry, and tuna cones). They allowed us to have Indian appetizers brought in from out caterer (Gaylord) as well. The staff made 3 different mocktails (we brought the recipes to them and some of the supplies that they didn’t have. Marriott furnished the rest. There was plenty of space to mingle. Waitstaff was very attentive and professional.
The reception room (the Marquee-we had 400 guests) was very well decorated and comfortable and airy. We had a combination of catered Indian food from Gaylord as well as steak and salmon from Marriott, all in buffet style. They were smart to set up 2 different buffet stations on both sides of the room given the large number of guests.
We had a dessert table with a chocolate fountain which was a HUGE hit. We were able to have catered Indian desserts from Gaylord as well as the Marriott supplied Chocolate fountain with fruit, marshmallow, rice crispy treats, pretzels, etc.
The following morning, we had a post wedding breakfast for 150 guests in the Lakeside Pavilion which was so light and airy with glass all around. Luckily, we had a beautiful sunny morning. It was also nice that people could walk out from the pavilion whenever they wanted to and come back in.
The breakfast food was amazing! We had an omelet station as well. We asked for lactose free creamers and they supplied that as well. Our guests said it was one of the best breakfasts they ever had. The bacon was so good!.
Many of our guests stayed at the Marriott Resort and had a great time and service. We had created welcome bags for our guests who were staying there and the front desk would hand them out as our guests checked in.
So, I would give this facility and their staff a 10/10 rating in every facet! The service, the event team, the hotel, the grounds, the food, the event rooms were so beautiful!
I have another son and if he gets married in the Chicagoland area, I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to have all of my events again at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort and also have my guests stay here.

In addition, working with Olivia Rylander as our main PoC made the entire process of signing the venue, floor planning, and getting everything squared away with vendors was very easy. We'd absolutely recommend the Lincolnshire Marriott to anyone looking for somewhere for a large or small wedding!

Olivia is SO kind. Both we and our families felt comfortable reaching out to her about anything, and she was thoughtful and collaborative every step of the way—from floor plans to choosing our signature drink. She's also someone you can completely trust. She's incredibly diligent, thorough, and really knows her stuff, which made us feel confident that everything was in good hands.
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort made the process so much smoother. We had questions and changes along the way, and they were always accommodating and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions.
Lastly, the event spaces are beautiful. Having both indoor and outdoor spaces gave us so much flexibility, and everything looked amazing throughout the weekend. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of venue. We highly recommend the Lincolnshire (and working with Olivia) to anyone getting married!

The space itself was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for each of our events, but what truly stood out was the hospitality. Every team member we interacted with was kind, professional, and always willing to help with anything and everything we needed.
Planning a wedding with so many moving pieces can feel overwhelming, but having a venue team that was responsive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about our experience made such a huge difference. They took incredible care of not only us, but also our families and guests. ing that could have happened. First of all, once we booked, SO many people who had either hosted a wedding there or who had been a guest there said that their weddings are top-notch. And boy were they right. From the moment we met with Patti to learn about the ins and outs of having a wedding there, to working with Christine (she is the best! So responsive and accommodating! We were so lucky to have been matched up with her!!), to the front desk staff, bartenders, wait staff, business office…..everyone we encountered was so incredibly friendly and spectacular at what they do. Guests couldn’t stop raving about how beautiful the Lakeside Pavilion/Patio were and about how amazing the food (and drinks!) were. Several guests said that this was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. A big shout out to Felipe, our banquet captain. He is the sweetest and most accommodating gentleman and we were so lucky to have him on the evening of the reception. We really can’t say enough great things about the LMR. I am so incredibly happy that we chose that venue for her wedding!!

We traveled the hour and 10 minutes from downtown Chicago to tour, and when we did, Patti was so accommodating, kind, and welcoming. She explained how many weddings they had done at our venue, and how we were in great hands with any requests we had. We learned that the staff, including the head chef, had been there for decades. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Lincolnshire Marriott, and received so many compliments on the delicious Mexican food buffet we had. We decided on having our reception at the Lakeside Pavilion, and our wedding day was PERFECT. Olivia, our event manager, was there every step of the planning process to help with tastings, kindly provide direction and guidance when we needed some help with decisions, and was very quick to respond to emails. We specifically requested that our dinner went fast; we've been to weddings where dinner can last 1.5+ hours, and we wanted to get the party started rather than sit and eat for a while. Our amazing servers and banquet manager had salads plated during cocktail hour and dinner was served to guests simultaneously!! The food was INCREDIBLE - we have received so so many compliments from our guests about both the chicken and salmon, as well as our cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres. The event was so seamless and perfect, and I truly would do it 100x over again. I will recommend the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort to anyone who will listen.

The staff was highly professional and communicated with us throughout the process to help create the perfect day. Initially we worked with Marie who gave us a tour and provided all the information we needed. Once we decided on the venue, Christine took over and helped us plan our big day. Christine was very responsive and answered all of our questions throughout the process. On the big day, she helped with set up and gathering last minute items along with helping us stay on schedule. The wedding went perfectly with everything set up as I had envisioned it and seamless transitions from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to the reception. They have a garden on site and they grow all of their vegetables so it is kind of like farm to table, everything was so fresh! We did something out of the ordinary by having our moms officiate the wedding, and the officiant is supposed to lead the rehearsal.. with that being said we didnt really know what we were doing but Marie, one of the event managers took time out of her busy day filled with meetings to help us lead the rehearsal. Everyone there was so helpful during the planning process and responded fairly quickly to the plethora of emails I sent. I would recommend this place to anyone getting married!

All of our guests complimented the staff for their kindness and professionalism. Some of our guests even extended their stay at the hotel to enjoy their beautiful facilities. The Event Manager we worked with was Christine and she did a great job answering all of our questions. She helped my in-laws plan a wonderful welcome party and post-wedding brunch. Christine, along with the amazing kitchen staff, handled all of the food allergies and restrictions with ease. One of the highlights of wedding planning was our tasting. I was able to bring my parents and in-laws for the experience. We had the best time and the food was to die for! As the wedding date approached, I felt we were greatly supported as Christine collaborated with our vendors easily. Not many brides can say that the planning process was largely relaxing and productive.
The staff during the wedding weekend were remarkable! Our banquet captain Felipe was the absolute sweetest! He introduced himself to my family as well as my husband’s family. Felipe made sure to check on us multiple times throughout the reception to see if we needed anything. He also worked extremely well with my day of coordinator during the reception! It helped time out our toasts perfectly and seamlessly transition into the dancing portion of the evening. I want to give a special shout-out to Patti, the catering sales manager, who drove the golf cart to and from our getting ready rooms! It was extremely helpful as we moved from the first look location to the ceremony. My grandfather has been struggling with his health and moving around. The golf cart was a large reason why he was able to join the festivities! The entire weekend was amazing start to finish! Thank you to all of the Marriott staff who made it possible!

The venue was gorgeous with plenty of natural lighting. The venue includes 2 future games of golf for the married couple, as well as the option to take wedding photos on their beautiful golf course. I highly recommend this venue.

All that being said, we struggled all the way up to our wedding. We had to ask most of the questions instead of the coordinator checking in to see what we'd like with decor, location, food preferences. She did show us the original party location but it was changed last minute due to lack of air conditioning in the original tent. Our ceremony location was too damp to walk on so they did offer to move us to the patio in Lakeside pavillion which was great. AV services were helpful. We used our own vendors for the rest.

We then worked very closely with Christine who was very professional, helpful, accommodating, and so great to work with! She communicated efficiently (and always had quick responses when we emailed her questions) with us, and made sure that we had everything we wanted for our special day. We had to last-minute change the location of our ceremony and the process of doing that was so seamless and stress-free because of Christine.
We had so many compliments from our guests about the appetizers from cocktail hour, the drinks, and the dinner entrees - everything was so delicious.
The resort itself is HUGE and offers so much! We loved providing our guests with the option to walk to their rooms after, and even had a huge group go to the hotel's bar/restaurant after our reception. I cannot recommend the Lincolnshire Marriott enough for any event. Everyone we worked with was so great and our guests had a blast.

ience with a beautiful lake and flower arch photo opp that our guests enjoyed taking pics in front of. There was plenty of air conditioning inside for the main event in the peak of summer which was a non-negotiable for my mother. I also loved that guests could go to their room and crash when the night was over. The rates felt very reasonable for both out of town and local guests. The large windows in the Lakeside Pavillion were awesome. We had piping and drape to partially block the pool. Guests were able to wander to Three Embers after the the wedding for a night cap. We were also able to do a sparkler send off on the patio at the end of the night. Christine, our event manager had a nice surprise for us in our room. Our suite was perfect and Christine accomodated our request to be in the suite nearest the pavillion so we could see our wedding happening from our room when I did a quick dress change or needed a bathroom. We also fell in love with Marie, our Sales Rep who gave us a couple of extra things we asked for like expanding the number of rooms in our block and 2 nights for the suite instead of 1 so the groom had a place to sleep the night before and a room to get ready in. Christine even let us practice our dance on the floor a couple of weeks before hand during our walk through as no one was in the venue at the time. The property was also a great backdrop for our couples photos. I loved the bridge near the box car. Food was excellent. We had beef tenderloin (per my mother's request - ha!) salmon, a veggie pasta and a very seafood-forward cocktail hour with the sushi cones, crab cake, coconut shrimp and bruschetta. We also had his & her drinks, which I probably could have eliminated. The one thing I wish I would have splurged on was uplighting because we had sunglasses as a party favor and I think it would have made the room pop a little more. My one complaint if there even is one was that I wish we could have hung more decorations from the ceiling, but being able to have string lights was the best so I'm thrilled I was able to do that. We can't wait to come back for our complimentary 1-year Anniversary stay and indulge in our delicious cake top again.

broke our contract (due to issues with the venue and their own contract with their exclusive catering company - nothing to do with us). I was in a sheer panic, because at that point we had already picked a wedding date AND booked all of our other vendors! It could have been an absolute nightmare. But then we reached out to the folks at the Marriott Lincolnshire to get more information about potentially having our reception there. We were blown away by the empathy and helpfulness of their staff, the beauty of their property, and the way they managed their wedding packages. Honestly - my husband and I have said that we think the best thing that happened in our planning process was that our original venue broke our contract, because ultimately it led us here to the Marriott Lincolnshire. We worked with both Marie and Christine. They were both WONDERFUL to work with. They were incredibly professional, had quick and clear communication, and were very organized and proactive in helping to remind me about any upcoming decisions that needed to be made. On top of that, they were so kind and so patient with all of my questions (and all of the questions that my parents had). The food tasting was a hoot - probably one of my favorite parts of the planning process. The day of the wedding was a fairy tale - truly a perfect day. Our reception was in the lakeside pavilion, which is stunning. The food was second to none - we got a ton of compliments, and in particular one friend said she was having dreams about the side of mushroom risotto. Lol. The staff on the day of were professional and executed everything perfectly - I didn't have to worry about a thing. We loved that they partner with Lovin Oven Cakery - that would have been our first choice for cake anyways, so that made it super easy. And finally - I cannot even stress how amazing it was to have our hotel room block at the same place as the reception. More than half our our guests were from out of state, and even a lot of local friends and family chose to stay at the hotel. Our rooms were all located close to the Lakeside Pavilion which made it easy for people to pop back into their room if they forgot something or wanted to change into more comfortable shoes for dancing. (It was also nice not to have to worry about transportation between venue and hotel block, too.) We are so grateful to the team at Marriott and would highly recommend them to any other couple.

The cocktail hour was a delightful experience with a range of exquisite appetizers that left our guests raving. The dinner surpassed all expectations, with every dish being exceptional in taste and presentation.
The cake, a true masterpiece crafted by Lovin Oven, was not only a visual delight but also a delicious treat that had everyone asking for seconds!
What truly left us in awe was the transformation of the Grove Pavilion. What was once a nondescript tent became a breathtaking wedding venue thanks to the incredible work of the florist, Kasia. The flowers, up lighting, and candles en masse created an enchanting atmosphere that will be etched in our memories forever.
The service was nothing short of impeccable. The staff, without exception, were friendly, attentive, and highly professional. They went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt welcome and cared for.
Initially, we were unsure about choosing this venue due to its long-standing presence in the community. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the conveniences it offered, as well as the lovely rooms. The experienced team at Marriott Lincolnshire knows how to make every moment special.

We heard from nearly every single one of our guests that our food was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection, as was...
literally everything else. Our guests RAVED about the bacon wrapped briskets, the artichoke beignets, the potato soup…literally everything. We upgraded our bar to add margarita ingredients as our signature drink and we ALSO heard everyone raving about them. They had to pause making them for a few minutes while they restocked the bar because EVERYONE was drinking them. Truly such an incredible culinary experience — from the tasting to day-of food.
We also heard from all of our guests how amazing the whole resort was. We filled around 50 rooms with guests from out of town and they were super appreciative of all the amenities, from the convenient restaurants in the resort to the pool and Starbucks!
The photo locations on the grounds are awesome. I’m not sure what we would’ve done if it rained, but the greenery made for beautiful pictures.
Christine Abbs is a phenomenal resource and event manager, and I was so grateful to have her throughout our planning process.
If I had to provide one piece of advice with this venue it would be to potentially get ready in your hotel rooms or elsewhere, if you can. We were so grateful for the spacious rooms they provided for both the bride and groom to get ready in, but not having direct access to a bathroom was challenging when I needed my last minute bio break before walking down the aisle or when everyone was touching up their makeup and needed mirrors. But truly, that wasn’t even that much of an issue.
5 stars! Would pick the Lincolnshire Marriott 10 times over.

and has so many amenities for your guests (golf course, pool, restaurants, bar and Starbucks all on sight). Christine was so nice to work with, she received countless emails from me as we finalized all the details, and always responded in a timely manner. Phillipe was our point of contact during the reception and him and his staff were wonderful. He was checking in on us, our wedding party, our parents and all of our guests to insure that everyone was enjoying themselves. The food and drinks were just as delicious at our wedding day, as they were at our tasting. We were also surprised with a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room after the reception.
I would recommend asking if the conference rooms can be reserved to get ready in, they are a lot bigger than the bridal suite so you have more space to spread out!

Kassandra, the general manager, and Christine, our wedding specialist, were so accommodating and generous with their time and resources. There are so many wonderful things I would like to share about them and how amazing they have been in this process! This has been such a whirlwind trying to figure everything out, and they have been nothing but helpful and accommodating to ensure our happiness for our special day. Not only did they each reach out to us individually to see if we needed anything, but collectively as the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort Team. I highly recommend this venue not only for the beautiful location and property, but also for the experience of working with such amazing staff members! From the time we walked into the front door until we left the parking lot, each member was so kind and helpful! What an amazing staff and venue for a wedding or event! Special shout out goes to Christine, she is literally one of the best human beings out there. She was so gracious, kind and honest which is exactly what we needed.

Kasandra Liebich walked us through our initial options and set us up with the package and the space and was helpful and friendly.
Christine Donovan then took care of us throughout the planning process. She guided us through our food tasting, she provided written updates to our plan and selections as we made changes, she answered all of our questions along the way, and most importantly she was there the day of our wedding to ensure everything went smoothly - which it did! She was in charge of other eddings the same day as ours but we never once felt that she didn't have time for us. She really is a top notch professional. We can't help but feel so lucky to have worked with her!
The team there handled all of our vendors arriving/setting up everything. When we got to our venue and saw everything all set up it looked absolutely beautiful. They had set everything up according to our requests and it looked even better than we could have imagined!
The food was so good - many people made comments on how much they enjoyed the dinner. The service team was super nice and attentive as well. We really felt that they went above and beyond.
Tips:
*Make sure you have enough space reserved for the wedding party to get ready the day of - we ended up booking our suite for the night before to ensure this and we also booked space for the groomsmen to have a seperate area to get ready in as well.
*Ask for what you need! The team there are happy to help.
