Nestled between Lazy Mountain and the Matanuska River in Palmer, Alaska, Lazy Mountain Acres is a 39-acre, family-owned wedding venue and peony farm just 45 miles from Anchorage. Mountain views, peony fields, birch forests and rolling hayfields make every corner of the property a backdrop for your photos.
Ceremony Sites - Choose from three ceremony locations: the Amphitheater overlooking our peony field, the Mountain View Deck, and the Woodland Garden.
Receptions - Celebrate in our 40' x 80' pavilion, which seats 200 guests (300 standing), with a built-in dance floor, a dedicated bar area and a vendor entrance for easy load-in. There is room for bands and every part of your celebration, and a 20' x 40' tent is available for overflow. For a more rustic feel, our renovated horse barn hosts receptions of up to 155 guests in the hayloft, with open-beam ceilings, wagon-wheel chandeliers and a large back deck. The barn's lower level has a bridal suite, four guest rooms, a caterer's kitchen and a horse-stall aisle that is perfect for rehearsal dinners. Our restroom building next to the pavilion has men's and women's restrooms with space for changing.
Stay on Site - Two fully furnished residences, the Bridal Suite and the Groom's Quarter, each have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room and dining room, and sleep up to 8 guests. RV and travel-trailer spots and dry camping are also available.
Our Venue & Services - We provide tables and Chiavari chairs for every event and handle setup and teardown, so you can relax and enjoy your day. Quality china, flatware, glassware, linens, arches, candelabras and decor are available to rent on site, with no pickup, cleaning or returns.
Peony Farm - Our fields hold more than 2,000 peony roots in 13 varieties, and peonies from the farm are available for florists and individuals in Alaska.
