Ashley with Lavender and Hops did hair for myself and my bridesmaids. She did a great job with my hair and was able to do what I envisioned. She was also very efficient and was abl...
e to get all our hair done with plenty of time to spare.
I did not want to write this review, as I was excited for Lavender & Hops to do the hair and makeup for myself as well as my bridal party for my wedding day in September. I had boo...
ked and signed a contract for my wedding which was over a year away. I scheduled my trial run upon signing my contract. In February, they told me they were no longer available for my wedding and cancelled their services for my wedding day via email. I understand things come up, but it is very unprofessional and a bad business plan for the team at Lavender & Hops as there is no contingency plan. No apology for cancelling, as they state they are just bummed they can't be the hair and makeup artists at my wedding. I felt the verbiage of the email was incredibly insensitive as they tried to put a positive twist on cancelling their contract. I was then referred to other hair and makeup artists who had never heard of Lavender & Hops and did not know they had been referred.
I booked this salon in October of 2020 and they cancelled on me on March 16th of this year for my wedding on June 5th. I totally understand that these things happen but I’m not su...
re how there is no contingency plan in this situation and how all 3 people I booked could suddenly not be available. They also informed me via email. I can’t speak to their hair and makeup services but this caused me a lot of undue stress and I didn’t appreciate being informed via email. Everything worked out in the end and I found an amazing makeup artist and hair stylists but I wanted to warn other brides that if something happens this vendor has no contingency plan and you could end up scrambling like I did.
Ashley, Marleigh, and Abby were all pleasures to work with. All of my bridesmaids' hair & makeup, and my hair and makeup, were the perfect balance of natural and glam. Extremely fl...
attering makeup - not cakey, not clowny - just perfect. Glowing, natural, flawless! Can't recommend them enough for both hair and makeup for a wedding.
I worked with Marleigh Burger from Lavender and Hops. She NAILED my wedding makeup! I was a little apprehensive because I don’t wear much of any makeup at baseline. She assured me ...
that it would look natural and would be beautiful. My makeup was flawless and it didn’t move or come off at all, and I cried a lot that day. All of my bridesmaids were impressed with the makeup. She was on time, efficient and is nice to be around.
