Laurel Falls

top thinking about.. Laurel Falls. Many of our guests travelled from different states and it was important to us that the venue be convenient for them to get to while still giving them the quintessential Western North Carolina mountain experience. We stayed on site along with some of our closest friends and it was truly such a great time. I’m terribly indecisive, but working with the Laurel Falls team and their recommended vendors was a wonderful experience. If you’re reading this review and wondering if this is the venue for you, we were in your shoes a year ago and can confidently say you won’t regret hosting your celebration at Laurel Falls.

p you plan. Another selling point for us was the history of the venue - they walk you through it when you take a tour - it is so neat! The venue had enough room for an all our our wedding party to stay on site (parents, siblings, bridesmaids and groomsmen) - making it so easy to coordinate the rehearsal dinner and day of. They have a fire pit that you can use for a welcome party the night before which allowed everyone to see the venue and visit with each other. We truly felt like we were able to visit with all of our guests - while still being able to be together and present the day of our wedding. We also loved that the venue didn’t look like your typical wedding venue. There is no heart shaped bushes or anything like that, just stunning scenery and a space that felt like home - because it was someone’s for so long!! Everything was beautiful and cozy and exactly what we had hoped for. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough!!!

e for an incredibly special weekend that felt relaxed and fun (not something you hear people say about their wedding weekend often)! The Laurel Falls staff was amazing to work with from start to finish! We were lucky enough to get a personal tour from the owner of the property where we learned the history of Laurel Falls which was super cool. Kristen, Laurel Falls' Event Director, is an absolute gem! She is personable, kind, and extremely communicative which is exactly what you want when making an investment in planning such an important event.  The accommodations at Laurel Falls are fantastic! Each cabin is incredibly well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and there's plenty of space for your closest friends and family to hang out together for a few days to celebrate in a beautiful location!  We would love to do our wedding all over again at Laurel Falls as it was just so magical and fun! We highly recommend Laurel Falls for your wedding event!!

at communicating and the rules were very clear. I enjoyed getting to spend time with everyone during a four day weekend instead of just one day! We rented golf carts which was very useful because the property is split in two with a hill. I liked how we were able to have all parts of the wedding outside because that was what was most important for us. Overall it was a major slay and so much fun!

e area, we knew Laurel Falls was the perfect place to get married. The property is absolutely stunning — tucked away on a quiet mountain road with breathtaking views, yet only a short drive from all the amenities Asheville has to offer. Beyond the beauty of the grounds and the comfort of the accommodations, what truly set Laurel Falls apart was its history and the people behind it. The owners grew up on the property in the main house after their parents discovered and lovingly restored the abandoned land and buildings in the 1980s. Today, they open their childhood home to others so they can celebrate some of life’s most meaningful moments in a place filled with history, care, and heart. We couldn’t have imagined a more special setting for our wedding and are incredibly grateful to have celebrated such an important weekend at Laurel Falls.

joy the property and help out as needed. Kristen and Jordan were so easy to work with throughout our planning. They provided clear and consistent communication and were SO helpful and insightful (I was someone with lots of questions and asked for a lot of input). We don't live in the Asheville area, but anytime we were in the area, they would allow us to peak in on the venue as needed. The views, layout, and trees on the property are beautiful. We utilized every part of the property for the weekend which was really cool because there are so many options on the property. Absolutely incredible, nature-focused environment, which is everything we wanted and more!

d made it so easy for everyone to stay on-site and feel connected throughout the weekend. The staff were amazing—responsive throughout the entire planning process and incredibly helpful on the day of the wedding. They made everything feel seamless and stress-free. I cannot recommend Laurel Falls enough, especially if you’re planning an intimate wedding. It was everything we hoped for and more. 💛

ter and our guests still tell us how this was one of the best weddings they've every been to, all of whom complemented the amazing views. It is truly a hidden gem, and a great place for friends and family to stay to celebrate. Kristen was a great host, and was very helpful throughout the entire process. This experience far exceeded our expectations, and we are very blessed to have celebrated our wedding weekend at Laurel Falls!

wooning over our wedding at Laurel Falls! We got married at the end of September and it was absolutely beautiful. We loved being able to spend Thursday-Sunday on site with our closest people, which gave us the chance to really slow the weekend down and savor every moment. We’re an out-of-town couple but we fell in love with Laurel Falls immediately when we saw it online. Kristen, the events director, and Jordan, the owner, were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Jordan gave us a virtual tour of the venue and shared the site’s special history with us throughout. When we were in town, he also took the time to give us an in-person tour! Kristen is ON IT — she quickly responds to emails, helps navigate any challenges, and is just an all-around rockstar. The love and care the LF team has put into the property is obvious — from the Helene renovations to the thoughtfully stocked accommodations to the prompt communication — they are a dream to work with! We cannot recommend this venue enough!! We’re already planning our 10-year anniversary celebration here 😏❤️

kend) an excellent experience. The ability to stay on site from Thursday-Sunday greatly enhanced our experience as well. Would recommend this venue to anyone!

eam. From start to finish, coordinating with Kristen was effortless, and her attention to detail made the entire process seamless and stress-free. We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful place to begin our forever.

tter than the pictures you'll see online! The views are amazing, the lodging is very comfortable, and it's in a great location (secluded enough that it feels private but still close to grocery stores, coffee shops, etc.). We especially loved being able to host our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception all in one place. It made it so that we could really soak in the entire weekend and be present rather than trying to drive back and forth everywhere. We worked with Kristen throughout our planning and she was extremely helpful and responsive. We had a lot of questions but she was happy to help and made time to have planning meetings so that everything was squared away before our weekend. Most of the vendors we worked with were also recommendations from Laurel Falls which made our decisions a lot easier (and we were very happy with the vendors they recommended). We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding at Laurel Falls, it was truly perfect and we could not have picked a better place!!

ff was incredibly responsive and supportive throughout the entire process and made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the mountain views are unbeatable, and we loved having the option to stay on-site for the weekend. A couple things for future couples: if you're planning to bring in all your own vendors (catering, bar, florals, rentals, etc.) as we did, consider hiring a full-service planner. We used a month-of coordinator, who was fantastic, but given the number of logistics and moving parts at the venue, a full-service planner could have made the earlier stages of planning less overwhelming. Overall, we’re so happy we chose Laurel Falls and would absolutely recommend it to couples looking for an intimate, beautiful, and customizable wedding venue!

- nestled in the mountains with lush greenery, beautiful trails, and the sound of the waterfall in the distance, it truly felt like our own private paradise. We had our families stay in the cabins on the property, and that made the entire weekend feel so special and intimate. The cabins were cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up surrounded by nature and being able to spend time with our loved ones all in one place made the whole experience even more meaningful. Our wedding day was unforgettable. The ceremony space is naturally stunning and didn’t need much decorating - the views did all the work! The reception space was charming and rustic in the best way, with plenty of room for dinner, dancing, and celebrating late into the night. The staff at Laurel Falls was helpful and easy to work with, and we felt supported every step of the way. It was the perfect mix of mountain retreat and elegant celebration. Our guests were blown away, and we’re still getting compliments on how unique and beautiful the venue was. Laurel Falls will always hold a special place in our hearts - it was the perfect place to start our forever.

ans. From plenty of room to have your wedding party stay, and parents of both the bride and groom, to the peaceful cabin next to the waterfall for the bride and groom, it all makes your stay so much easier. The cabins have all your needs that you could think of. This venue offers every kind of atmosphere you could want from an over look of the mountains for a ceremony, to a beautiful atmosphere for the reception and even a great time to get down on the atmosphere. It truly was a memory that we will never forget because of how beautiful and perfect our moment was!

as really important to me to find an intimate venue that we could spend multiple days of quality time in the mountains with our closest people and Laurel Falls delivers! The venue is stunning and we loved being able to spend the whole weekend there with our family and friends. The cabins on the property are all fully stocked and have incredible mountain views. It was so nice having several options for spaces to host a rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Every vendor I reached out to about providing services for our wedding at Laurel Falls had nothing but the highest praises for doing events there. Which I think says a lot about both the venue and their amazing team! Laurel Falls also has a good inventory of items to utilize for anything you need during your weekend there which was a bonus. We truly had the most incredible time and could not have asked for a better venue to celebrate our wedding!

to the rhododendron forest to the well-equipped historical lodge and cabins. You may also be aware that you get the entire 18-acre venue and its 4 cabins for three whole days. These pieces alone could easily win you over. What can’t be captured in the photos is the quality of service, thoughtfulness of design, ongoing support, depth of knowledge, and genuine kindness exuded by each member of the Laurel Falls staff. Trust me, when planning a wedding, these things are VERY important, especially when planning from afar. Jordan, the owner, gave my then-fiancé and I the history of the property then took us on a tour of the property (and even did the on-site hiking trail with us). As we visited each area of the property, he helped us envision how we might use it for various weekend festivities. A wedding at Laurel Falls meant a long weekend with our favorite people in a gorgeous place and time to relax and soak in the whole experience - not just a single night that flies by so fast you don’t remember it. Despite my indecisive nature and this being the only venue we’d visited, it felt right and we knew it was for us. From this point, Kristen, the Events Director, was our main contact. There aren’t words to describe how phenomenal this woman is. Kristen is always so kind, helpful, positive, AND she could answer literally any obscure question I had. I reached out to Kristen to ask her recommendation on the ceremony start time because I wanted to be mindful of how the sun would impact the temp and the lighting at our chosen ceremony site. I expected just a discussion, but she blew me away when she also sent me the LF Pinterest page along with the names and ceremony start times of featured former couples married our same month. When I wasn’t sure how to arrange the tables and where to put the DJ to maximize dancing, she gave me insights AND shared layouts from other couples with a similar guest count. These are just a couple examples of Kristen’s meticulousness and level of support every step of the way. The Laurel Falls team truly thought of everything to make the wedding experience easy and pleasant. With the setting, we knew the wedding festivities would be beautiful, but the magical, memorable weekend wouldn’t have existed without the LF team. We’d choose this place - and these people - over and over again!!

ovided a list of vendors that they frequently work with and we went with several of them that were all amazing. Highly highly recommend Laurel Falls. And by the way....the views are absolutely amazing.

w stunning the property was. All that stayed in the cabins and lodge had a comfortable and restful stay. We used the tables and chairs that Laurel falls provides and they were great. We highly recommend laurel falls and would choose them all over again!

event feel unique. Everyone commented on how beautiful the venue was!

with our family and friends was part of the main appeal. That allowed for a much more intimate environment to host our wedding weekend (July 2024), rather than feeling rushed to be in and out in a single day. Because the property is so big and includes several distinct sites, there are many ways to make the wedding your own. That’s something we know the owners have given much thought to and continue to improve upon. The fact that they provide several key elements – chairs, tables, tent, etc. makes it much easier to plan. It also means you can keep things simple or elevate the occasion if you want to add more. The team at Laurel Falls is top-notch. They guided us through the process, ensured we were on track, and were always available to answer questions. We cannot recommend this venue enough. It makes for a one-of-kind, truly incredible wedding experience. We are ready to go back and renew our vows just so we can do it all again!

rom showing the grounds and wedding ceremony areas (yes there’s multiple!!!!) everything through a video call! Eventually we did get the chance to see it in person…yall it is so beautiful. Even when bare the beauty of the houses and nature surrounding is stunning. Being out of state meant finding accommodations for my family but no fear Laurel Falls was able to accommodate all of us! Which was so convenient to have all of our loved ones so close to us! Laurel falls is truly a brides dream come true! They have so much to offer from decor to trustworthy vendor recommendations! Regardless if you plan to have a wedding planner or plan it yourself Kristen will help you out!!!!! On our actual wedding day They sent out Mac to help us with the setting up of everything and i cannot thank them enough!!!! Mac was able to help us get it together so we can enjoy our day! From the helpful staff, amazing views, and on site accommodations this is the PERFECT wedding venue. These views were magical! We even got a rainbow moment along the mountaintops! These pictures truly don’t do it justice! 10/10 experience if i could give 500 stars i would!

e venue’s breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the serene, forested landscape provided the perfect backdrop for our special day. The Laurel Falls delivered on everything they promised. The accommodations were both luxurious and cozy, offering our guests a comfortable and memorable stay. The venue’s attention to detail, from the beautifully landscaped gardens to the charming rustic-chic design of the event spaces, created an atmosphere of elegance and warmth that made our wedding feel truly special. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that combines natural beauty with exceptional service, The Laurel Falls is the perfect choice. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more, thanks to this incredible venue. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our love.

st heartbreaking that we can’t visit every year! When we started planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to find a place that allowed us to spend more time with our friends and family. Everyone knows how quickly the wedding day flies by, so it was important for us to make an entire weekend out of it. We wanted something intimate, whimsical, and relaxed. Laurel Falls checked every box: an amazing location, beautiful views, and cabins to accommodate everyone. I have to praise Kristen for a moment. She is a saint and helped us every step of the way. She was truly amazing. What doesn’t this woman do? She managed everything with unparalleled ease and organization. She made the process so easy, continuously checked in, offered suggestions, and was incredibly patient with my scattered first-time bride brain. I can’t thank her enough! My intimate fairytale wedding was a dream come true. Every moment was filled with magic and joy, and I wouldn’t change a thing. My heart couldn’t be fuller. It was such a special day for everyone involved. My family is still talking about how wonderful it was. My 75-year-old grandfather said it was the most beautiful event he’s ever seen in his entire life, which is extraordinary. All of our family said it was the best weekend; they all needed it and it was the nicest wedding they’ve ever attended. I was constantly asked how I found this place. Everyone was in complete awe. This experience will stay with all of us forever. Our photographer said it was her favorite wedding she’s ever shot, and the videographer echoed the same sentiment. It just goes to show how special this place is. Do yourself a favor and don’t wait! Book the venue! 🥰🌿🌷

ng the ability to stay in the same place where our ceremony and reception was allowed us to have an incredible experience with all of our family staying there with us. Their team is top notch in helping us coordinate and plan while being out of state. If you are looking for somewhere to connect to nature and have a unique wedding experience this is an ideal place

e details were just right.

ception space, everything was perfect. The staff's professionalism and attention to detail ensured that our day (and weekend) was unforgettable. Shout out to Kristen, the Event Director, who was very knowledgeable, kind, and answered any and all questions from our first meeting call until our very last. Cara, a formal LF bride, also gave us the initial venue walkthrough and a bonus optional hike at the end (which won us over because we love the outdoors)! Mac, the Day of Venue Host, was also a tremendous help on the wedding day by moving items and ensuring everything was exactly where we needed it to be at the various sites of the venue. It was the ideal setting for our mountain view wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Things I highly recommend when booking them include; a wedding planner (especially if > 25 guests …. this is a “blank canvas” type of venue, so save yourself the headache and enjoy your day), and golf carts (we had two 4-seaters and it was so much fun!). Thanks for the incredible day!! Pictures coming soon.

ing me pick a wedding date all the way up to our wedding day. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart!

ried on a Saturday, and were able to spend Thursday - Sunday on the property. This was such a game changer. Being able to take our time setting up & getting to know the space took away so much stress that I know we would have felt if didn't choose a venue that allowed us to stay multiple nights. The environment was absolutely beautiful, and each of the cabins had their own unique charm. The team working for Laurel Falls, particularly Kristen, were such a pleasure to work with. They were so accommodating of every question or concern we had, and made us feel like we were their only clients. If you're considering Laurel falls for your wedding, look no further, this place is a dream.

oved to see the work that was put into updates along the property (adding more parking, more accessible restrooms, improving the outdoor space outside the barn, etc) based on clients’ feedback! You can tell Paul really cares about making the space perfect. Additionally, communication throughout the entire year after booking and leading up to the wedding day was spot on. Kristen is so organized and communicative, an absolute pleasure to work with. We also utilized the preferred vendor list to book a lot of our other vendors which was super helpful and a lot of them were very familiar with the space making planning easier. The scenery speaks for itself, but our out of town family and friends were absolutely amazed by the beauty of the fall colors. It was so nice to have on-site accommodations for most of our guests and feel tucked away in the mountains while also only being 15-20’ from the heart of Asheville. I wish I could relive this day over and over. Laurel Falls helped make our wedding day even more perfect than we could have imagined!

d the cabins were perfect for our family. They were very clean and well organized. The staff was super attentive and available for whatever we needed all weekend. Kristen was wonderful to work with throughout the process as she is very responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were all set for our weekend. communication was excellent leading up to our wedding and it felt as though we were becoming a part of the Laurel Falls family. This property is well taken care of. If you’re looking for great mount views and an intimate setting, I highly recommend Laurel Falls!

o communicate/work with before and during our weekend. We are so thankful for such a beautiful place to remember forever!

g I wish we could do every year. I mayyyyy have shed a tear looking out at the mountains the day we had to leave. If you're thinking about booking, do it! We had 16 folks stay onsite with us, and everyone was so impressed with the venue. If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say "how did you find this place?!" Kristen, the Events Director, was INCREDIBLE to work with throughout the planning process. She always had answers for my random one-off questions, and I enjoyed those emails frankly. She is such a delight. Paul, Laurel Falls' owner, was also amazing as he called us the day of our rehearsal dinner on The Lodge porch with great news that our linens were arriving just in time for the rehearsal dinner. The attention to detail and well wishes were so very appreciated as we shuffled around to make sure everything was just right. Andy was also incredible helping us on the day of to make sure all our wedding guests knew where they were going. You just can't beat this level of service, on top of a location that just cannot be replicated. I felt like Snow White surrounded by cute little gophers and birds and my fully adult human dwarves (aka my friends and family it was dope).

weekday wedding in June before even seeing the venue in person, which I was a little nervous about.. but WOW Laurel Falls did not disappoint. It was everything we imagined and more. We had about 15 family and friends stay with us on site for three days and 47 total guests at the wedding. Everyone was awestruck and continuously asked us how we found this place. The word of the week was ‘magical’. We had friends and family travel in from Minnesota, Florida, Nebraska, Washington, New York, etc. Everyone was easily able to find accommodation in the area and flights were surprisingly smooth with Asheville being just a short drive away. The cabins were cozy, stocked with everything we needed, and allowed everyone to have their own space/cabin for the three days. The venue itself had so many versatile spaces – we had our ceremony at the boulder site, reception at the rustic barn, rehearsal dinner and brunch on the lodge porch. As for Laurel Falls staff – Kristen was amazing. She was always available to chat through questions I had and was so organized in all the information she shared with us prior to the wedding. She even provided a vendor list, which was so appreciated because I wasn’t from the area and didn’t know where to start! The day of the wedding there was a staff member on site who worked with our coordinator to ensure everything was set up and ready to go. I cannot recommend Laurel Falls enough! It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for.

the event coordinator, is a gift to any bride and groom who discover Laurel Falls, and Paul, the owner, knows how to make you fall in love with the special place he created with his family. EVERYONE at our wedding was amazed by the location and especially those who stayed on the property with us asked over and over how we found this incredible venue. Kristen always answered our questions quickly and we always felt calm and like we were in good hands, even when a few last minute things came up and bad weather was threatening our plans days before. We barely needed anything because the surroundings do all the work for you and there are so many other vendors who love working there that putting it all together was a breeze. We made so many memories and are so glad we decided to do a weekend with our closest loved ones instead of just one single night. We celebrated every night, had bonfires and walks on the property, and took so many beautiful pictures. We didn't want to leave but know that our wedding was so unique and special because we found Laurel Falls.

views where we could enjoy time with our family and Laurel Falls absolutely delivered on all counts. The four cabins that are included are so spacious, beautiful, and ideal for bringing together family and friends both before, on, and after the wedding. There are also multiple locations on the property suitable for having the ceremony and reception (all of them gorgeous)- plus a hottub, waterfall, lawn games, and small nature trail! If you're looking for a beautiful venue for a small-ish wedding, this is the place!

perfect place for an intimate wedding. We made so many memories over the weekend stay that we will cherish forever! We had 20 people staying on property and every cabin was well stocked with everything you could need for the weekend (kitchen supplies, irons, dust buster/cleaning supplies, extra linens) and they all felt so cozy. Kristen, the events director, was incredibly helpful and so communicative in the months and days leading up to our wedding. Andy, the property coordinator, helped make our day easy by getting out all of the things we needed (chairs for ceremony, ceremony archs, extra tables, etc.) and coordinating parking the day of. Also the welcome package provided is so thorough and made our vendor selection process seamless. I could go on and on but if you’re considering an intimate mountain wedding, look no further than Laurel Falls! We are so glad we had our weekend here and are so thankful to the Laurel Falls team.
