I used La Ron jewelers for a custom wedding band to go with my unique engagement ring. I knew I needed something custom (my engagement ring is an unusual shape and I needed somethi...ng made to fit against it and I wanted sapphires in the band, not diamonds). I spoke with several jewelers in the Jeweler's building in Chicago as well as on Wabash and I went with La Ron because I got the best overall feeling from them. In my first brief visit, they were able to sketch out for me exactly what I wanted and gave me a good estimate of price (it ended up costing about $100 more than I was quoted in my rough estimate). The whole process was very easy--I left my engagement ring with them for about a week to get a mold made, and then went back a few weeks later (the process probably could have been completed faster but I was doing this with ample time before my wedding) to try on the band and take it home with me. The result was beautiful, and they were very patient and accommodating when I needed the band (and my engagement ring, which was not purchased there) increased slightly in size. All in all, they are a great business, do excellent work, and I would recommend working with them for any custom jewelry needs!
