Larkspur Events & Dining

lf is just perfect. The views are amazing - we walked up the hill right by the event space for photos and there was a little stream and a perfect view of the Gore Range! My guests really appreciated having everything so close together, yet there was still separation of spaces (dinner was spatially separated from cocktail hour and dancing). Also, all the spaces are already beautiful, so I saved money on decorations. I knew that Larkspur was known for their food, and they definitely lived up to the hype!! I have gotten a lot of compliments from my guests about the food. Plus, the whole wait staff was so attentive and did a great job making sure all drinks were filled (shout out to Steve who did great anticipating the wedding party's needs). We also had a s'mores bar which was unique and everyone loved it! I really can't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else - I highly recommend this venue!

a micro wedding and I reached out to the Larkspur events manager for a quote and information. She gave me a cost breakdown and quote for our wedding, and we drove up to Vail to visit the venue. It's a really lovely space, so we decided to book. It wasn't until we were ready to book that we were told about their minimums. Our estimate was LOWER than their minimum and the events manager never mentioned anything about it. And the minimum was thousands more than we were quoted. She told me they never talk minimums until it's time to sign the contract. I think that's a pretty important thing to bring up with prospective brides! After going back and forth, and talking with her manager, we were able to work it out. Our wedding day was beautiful and everyone at the restaurant rolled out the red carpet for us. The food was delicious and everyone had a really great time. The only negative - could have been disastrous - after the ceremony, we were taking family pictures and the sprinklers came on! If it would have been 10 minutes earlier, it would have ruined our ceremony. Luckily, we all managed to run away from the ceremony site for 10 minutes while they figured out how to turn them off. You would think if you're hosting an outdoor wedding you'd make sure the sprinklers were turned off for the night. Overall, our wedding day was pretty perfect. There were just lots of tears and frustrations leading up to it because of their events manager.

rgeous and delicious it was still well within budget as well!

rom our guests on the location just at the base of the mountain, the service (seriously incredible), the food (y'all, the food is seriously so incredible, our guests still talk about it), the drinks (the Larkspur Lightning was a HUGE hit), the s'mores... I could keep going on! Isabel was incredible to work with from the beginning and incredibly accommodating, especially when COVID hit and we had to postpone. The whole Larkspur team really brought our entire dream and vision to life - we will cherish our memories from that weekend for the rest of our lives without a doubt.

gorgeous mountain views and the main dining room is always elegant and set meticulously. The service staff is always helpful and ensure that the client and their guests are well cared for. I would highly recommend considering Larkpsur as your wedding venue.

ntains during your ceremony, but also hosts several wedding reception options. If you have a more intimate wedding the Larkspur restaurant is an ideal location to host your wedding. But if you are looking for a bigger wedding the vast Larkspur grounds allow for a tent setup. And a tent wedding provides you lots of options to make your dream wedding come true. Not only are the ground and views ideal, but also its location in the heart of Vail. With access to many hotels in the area your guests will have lots of options to choose from and will be able to plan their perfect wedding weekend getaway. One of my favorite things at the Larkspur is their catering and their staff. Vendors are provided with excellent meals after a long day of hard work with a lovely catering staff. And it’s always nice to see that vendors are appreciated alongside the wedding itself. Hence, I absolutely adore the Larkspur. If you are looking for your dream Vail wedding I can only recommend the Larkspur after having shot there for several years in a row now. Let your party planning begin here!

oose a new venue because of COVID restrictions. The food is amazing, the staff is professional, and the venue is gorgeous. I would highly recommend for couples looking for a wedding venue!

y impressed. The staff were extremely accommodating to each guest’s requests and needs and the venue was perfect! Many of our guests commented that this was the “best wedding food that (they) have ever had”!! I have to agree! The hors d’oeuvres were amazing and the entrees were cooked to perfection. I would do it all again with the Larkspur!!

modate and were so flexible. All our worries were squashed and we were able to have the most amazing day we had always envisioned. The food was delicious and the space fit our intimate wedding of 32 people perfectly. They even mimicked our original cake flavor for us that we had originally picked at our previous venue (funfetti with cereal milk cream filling!) so we didn't have to change that. They were just amazing with their flexibility during these crazy times. Thank you Larkspur and team!

was wrong on the day of our wedding (but still good!).

g to work with us which I am grateful for. We ended up having 20 people in a private room for dinner and a nice cocktail hour at the bar. There was another event going on but we barely noticed them. Everyone is still raving about the food and service. So glad we found Larkspur!

s and our vendors and plan everything in a time crunch. The lawn was an absolutely beautiful spot for our ceremony. The team there is absolutely wonderful and know their stuff. The food and cake were both amazing. The bar team was a dream to work with. Isabel was a life saver and we are so glad that we were able to get married at Larkspur.

e last minute due to COVID, and the Larkspur was more than accommodating and flexible. They made sure that my vision came to life. It was the happiest, no stress day, thanks to The Larkspur!

clear and concise. The venue is flexible and stress free. Our wedding day could not have gone better.

t meeting! Not only is the staff the best in the business, but the food and drinks will be something all your guests remember. Larkspur is a beautiful mountain venue that takes all the stress out of wedding planning, they are truly professionals and amazing to work with. They made our day perfect and so memorable we will be going back there for anniversaries to come! If you are a bride wanting to get married in Vail, Colorado and want the best experience Larkspur Events & Dining is the ideal venue for you! Thank you Larkspur for making all our wedding dreams come true!

they were a dream to work with! The ceremony lawn was perfect for our ceremony and the views were beyond breathtaking. Our guest are still raving about how wonderful the food was, saying it was the best wedding food they've had. I couldn't agree more. The food was so delicious! Every staff member that we worked with was knowledgeable and so helpful. My husband and I never had a chance to visit the venue before our wedding, and didn't worry us at all because of the amazing team the Larkspur has. They staff is very knowledgeable and the definitely goes above and beyond for their guests. If you're looking for a venue in Vail with amazing staff, food and views, this is the place! We couldn't be happier!

spur staff always corresponded to us with professionalism, grace and kindness. They helped to execute what was by far the best day of our lives, to date! They answered every question promptly and in detail over the course of our 7 months of planning. Our guests kept telling us how great the service was all night! The food was top notch, we had multiple guests tell us that as well! The signature cocktails were a hit! The cake was absolutely stunning and delicious! The team at the Larkspur also was able to assist with logistics from other vendors and is known by the wedding community in the area to be the best!! You will be in such good hands with the Larkspur, we highly recommend celebrating your big day with them!!

r guests. The food is absolutely exceptional. Every one of our guests said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The staff is great, very professional and helpful.

, look no further. You have to try the homemade donuts and dipping sauce.. AMAZING!

aging our extra wedding cake to send home with our guests.

nt that they love what they do. From the boozy hot drinks served pre-ceremony to the signature cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour, everything was delicious.

re very easy to work with. I was able to put together a menu and plan the event without any hassle. When we showed up the day of the rehearsal, everything was set up and ready to go for us! Their staff was helpful and courteous without being too involved.

ing up to the actual event. The venue was also stunning.

d accommodating to us throughout our planning and wedding celebration process. The venue is tucked away at the base of Gold Peak, giving you and your guests the most perfect quintessential Vail mountain wedding! AND THE FOOD... WOW! Be prepared to get more compliments about the food and service than anything else regarding your wedding! We cannot thank them enough for all that they did for us and our guests in making our big day so unforgettable! Also... we cannot wait to go back during the winter to eat some Larkburgers and Truffle Fries!!! :)

h fun to work with throughout our wedding planning process. I truly can't imagine working with a better group of individuals. Everything about our experience with Larkspur was impeccable. The venue is stunningly gorgeous, the food is world-class, and the service is outstanding. Every single staff member at Larkspur went above and beyond for our special day. Our friends and family are still raving about our wedding being the best they've ever been to, and we have everyone at Larkspur to thank for that. Beyond the stunning beauty of the venue, guests raved to us about how incredible the food and service was. The entire reception flowed perfectly together, and no detail was overlooked. We were absolutely blown away by our experience at Larkspur during our wedding. I can't say enough good things about our experience, and I would highly recommend having a wedding there. I wish I could do mine all over again!

o impress us and their estimation of the amounts and costs of food and beverage for both events was so accurate. They are experienced, professional and do a top notch job. It was a pleasure to work with Larkspur.

. They worked with us to make all our requests happen and totally over delivered on all our expectations. All our guests had an amazing time at our wedding. Larkspur made everything just perfect. Highly recommend using them.

d themselves in such a beautiful setting with excellent food. Thank you Larkspur for exceeding our expectations!!

WITH a mountain view, then immediately start an indoor reception. We knew what we were looking for was very specific, and are so glad we knew about Larkspur! There are very few sites in the entire world that checked all of these boxes, and after having been to Larkspur a few times for different events, we were confident they could make our day perfect! The staff was amazing to work with throughout the planning process, and were patient with all of our questions and "what-if-we-do-this" ideas. After a year of planning, getting married at Larkspur felt like being at home - the team made it all so easy! All of our guests raved about the food, which was hugely important for us, and there were dedicated servers who ensured we got two of each appetizer/a moment to chill before being introduced, got served first at dinner, and never had an empty glass at our head table! The restaurant is beautiful as-is, to the point that our florist talked us out of paying for more flowers - they simply weren't needed to decorate the venue space! There are no bare walls or ugly carpeting to distract guests from, it's simply elegant and requires very little to no additional decor, which was SO NICE to have one less thing to worry about during the planning. It would be impossible to go wrong choosing this venue for your big day - this team knows what they're doing, the outdoor views and indoor spaces are beautiful, and the food is world-class. We will be forever grateful we got married at Larkspur!

the context of our wedding weekend needed to be “inclusive.” We were looking for a partner who could make our 100 guests feel like they were gathering for a special family dinner, while also elevating the “party mode” experience. Moreover, since I would be planning everything on my own, I was looking for a thoughtful, helpful, and organized team. From our first meeting, we knew we would be in the best of hands with Larkspur! Isabel and the Larkspur family made the planning process easy and fun. At our tasting, we were able to sit down with Chef Bill to share our ideas for a custom designed cake to match our invitations, and our wish was his command (and it turned out picture perfect)! And the food…oh my gosh THE FOOD! We chose the Creekstone Farms Strip Loin and the Ahi Persillade for our seated dinner entrees, and absolutely loved every bite! Our friends and family are still raving (over a month later) about our wedding being “one of the best meals they’ve ever had!” Perhaps the best part about Larkspur is the way the evening flowed together. From the beautiful ceremony lawn with sweeping views of the Gore Range, to the cocktail bar and patio, and finishing the evening in the versatile and open great room with the dance floor, it was as if we had four events in one. All in all, our wedding day was perfect, and it could not have been possible without the love and hospitality provided by our friends at Larkspur!!

erfect. We had guests from all over the world and every single one of them was not only impressed with the professionalism and care of the staff, but also extremely pleased with the food. I am still receiving compliments about how amazing the dinner was and not to mention the late night snack (we picked the beef tacos and they were to die for). The bar was another highlight - Chris was super accommodating and took great care of our guests. The desserts were well prepared and mouthwatering. The peanut butter crunch bar was a favorite. Working with Rafal and the Larkspur team was easy and effortless and they really made planning easy. I have been in the events business for almost 10 years and was impressed with their execution. I definitely recommend Larkspur for a wedding in Vail, especially if you love well prepared, incredible food.

ing out some bride's stress -especially if you're a perfectionist. I planned the entire wedding weekend from a distance with a 12 hr trip to only taste apps and cake! The venue is absolutely stunning. Inside and outside! A cold front came in for the wedding day and we needed to have a game time decision - do we have the ceremony indoors? The staff is not only accommodating and flexible but genuinely want your day to be as perfect as it can be. I trusted in the Larkspur and they delivered. I needed their call in the last hour. It was the right call because it was frigid outside by the time we took photos. My guests enjoyed themselves with their hearts and stomachs. That is what made this bride so happy!! Scott and I wanted a loving and a personal ceremony unique to our relationship. We wanted great food and an unbelievable party. We got all of those! Incredible food and cake. Thanks chef Bill! Best Colorado lamb chops I've ever had - all the guests who chose them raved about the dish and the preparation of the tasty potato that accompanied it! I heard the salmon was delicious -I can attest it looked beautiful. They had a great selection of wines but let us order in one of our favorite champagnes. Yum to the speciality cocktails and excellent tasting wedding cakes! You made mom and father in law very happy! They like cake... a lot. Thank you Isabel, Chris, Tony, Meridith and Tom ....and all the staff I didn't personally talk to as you hustled around with excellent service. Gordon Ramsey would be proud of the execution! Thank you all for all your hard work. Being the last wedding of a long season :Larkspur, you made this couple, their friends and families so happy. Vail memories for life! Thank you with all my heart. Xoxo❤️

events coordinator contacted me to make menu selections, but planned the rest of the event on their own. The patio was beautiful, and the food was amazing! Everyone raved about the brunch, and the staff was so nice and friendly. I was so happy we went with them for our brunch.

om for our 250 guests. Working with Isabel Piaggi, the events director, was an absolute dream. She was so on top of everything, so communicative and prompt in responding to our every annoying question, and so NICE. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Isabel and her team, and could not have been more pleased with how the entire night went. The food was exceptional, the staff was attentive, the bartender was amazing, and the whole event went off without a hitch. We HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married in the Vail Valley. You will not be disappointed!

ff was absolutely professional, competent, and so much fun to work with. They were ahead of us at every step of the planning process, and every small detail of our wedding day was flawlessly executed. We just showed up and enjoyed the evening. Even without flowers and candlelight, the venue is gorgeous and elegant. Most importantly, our guests are still talking about the OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS food and great drinks! :) Don't be fooled by their very reasonable pricing--it doesn't get any better than this for a Colorado mountain wedding. Thanks Larkspur!!!

The restaurant for dinner was absolutely beautiful, modern, classy, and best of all the chef's pride themselves on their food. We had specific dietary requests for our wedding (vegan & gluten free) and they were so excited to create a menu that was delicious that accommodated our request. Everyone LOVED the food, and set us a part from other weddings they attended! From start to finish we had the best time planning our wedding with the Larkspur team. And they truly delivered on our vision. Did I mention we had a "fried bar" for our late night snacks?! Two types of french fires, fried pickles, onion rings and an assortment of v/gf dipping sauces!! :) Our wedding was a dream come true thanks to Larkspur. Highly recommend!

o get married. Food & Drink was a priority for us at our wedding, and they nailed it! Isabel and her team were incredibly accommodating, responsive to emails, and absolutely a joy to work with. They made our day so special. This is also the perfect venue as the indoor "back-up" plan is an equally perfect venue if you are dreaming to have an outdoor wedding. I would do it all over again, if I could!

single staff member at Larkspur went above and beyond for our special day. Isabel was also so wonderful to work with. She did not overlook any details and brought everything together so seamlessly. Our friends and family are still raving about the amazing food, drinks, desserts, and killer background view during our ceremony on the West Lawn. Our wedding in Vail was a destination wedding, and Larkspur was the best choice for that hands down. They handled food, beverages, ceremony chairs, and several other details. It was very "all-inclusive" so to say, which made destination planning such a breeze (and fun!). Highly highly recommend hosting your wedding (or any event really) here! Could not be happier with how things turned out.

ed and accommodated last minute requests and questions. I am so happy we took a leap of faith to transform the "lodge" for the dancing. It was truly the perfect reception. Our wedding was December 3rd, near 215 guests, 23 person bridal party, and a 14 person band (all which fit comfortably). They were honest about budgeting and worked with us the night of the event to ensure that we were comfortable with the bar spending limits. The only issue we ran into was the ski shop would not close early so rentals / band could set up. We added an additional cocktail party at Frost to give them a little time, and it worked out perfectly! I only wish we could relive this night one thousand times again!

rom and drinks as well. Isabel was fantastic throughout the process - responsive, helpful and patient with us as we made our decisions. Once we got to the Larkspur for the event, we were blown away by how nice everything was. They went above and beyond to make sure our event was top notch. The food was fantastic and the service was superb. I cannot recommend the Larkspur enough and will definitely come back here if I ever host a large event in Vail again.

s. The set up was absolutely perfect. We were so pleasantly surprised when all of our décor had been perfectly handled by the Larkspur staff - when our helper arrived to help with set up, she learned she had virtually nothing to do. The food was absolutely spectacular. From the gorgeous presentation and taste of the table pickles to the amazingly delicious entrees (lamb and the Petaluma chicken) to the gorgeous chocolate wedding cake, we could not have been happier. The food was inventive, beautiful and expertly prepared. Everyone complemented the amazing views from our dinner on the lawn. It was truly an unforgettable location and experience for us and for our guests. When the sun went down, the donuts and coffee in the bar area were a highlight for everyone (especially our kids!!) and the cozy atmosphere you created in the bar area to wind things down was awesome. Every person we spoke to on your staff from our initial conversations and visit to the end of the night was friendly and attentive. You truly have an awesome team in place. Everything was absolutely impeccable and we are truly appreciative and thankful for everything you did to make our day perfect. You exceeded expectations in every way. We spend a lot of time in Vail and we considered just about every venue between Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Keystone. I am confident that we absolutely made the right choice. Thank you for so perfectly executing our vision of a casually elegant, but very special dinner with our closest family and friends. We will never forget our amazing day, and we thank you for making it so special. We look forward to visiting you again during the winter season!

rvice and accommodations from Isabel Piaggi. Our wedding was June 18th, 2016 at the Larkspur. We had our ceremony outside on the Larkspur lawn. The mountains in the backdrop speak for themselves. Once the ceremony was over the waiters were holding wine and water lining the path back to the Larkspur bar for the cocktail reception. We ended up renting a tent for our reception on the Larkspur lawn. What an amazing view to have the clear tent at the bottom of the mountains. We ended up choosing the buffet and what an amazing choice. Not only did our guest get to experience different food as opposed to choosing only 1 meal, but the layout of the food in a tapas style was beautiful. Throughout the night I had people approach me and say it was the best food they had every had at a wedding. As well, days after people are still talking about the food and how truly amazing the day was. Larkspur is a great venue for a wedding space in Vail. They have unmatched service and are willing to work with any special needs you may have. If you want a truly Vail wedding experience with unmatched mountain views and a space to call your own on your special day, the Larkspur is the place! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

eception was impeccable and beautiful. We’ve received nothing but rave reviews from our guests. Every time we looked up, we saw smiles all around. From the service to the absolutely incredible food, Isabel, Cole and the rest of their staff made sure that our day was as perfect as we had imagined. The setting at the base of the mountain is truly magical. We'll forever be thankful for their service and can't wait to eat there again when we visit Vail to go skiing!
