LaMalfa

ral copies of someone else’s wedding contract thinking it was us. This included their full names, guest count, wedding total, etc. Personal information no one else should have. He canceled several meeting with only hours notice. The day of the wedding, we were suppose to have two full bars. We showed up to only one bar and two bartenders which made everything very backed up. Not a single staff person informed us of this change, we had to point it out. We understand with the current pandemic everyone is understaffed. But our bill wasn’t changed and no one informed us of this error. Our “custom” seating chart was not to scale and several important family members that were suppose to be in the front next to our parents were now in the back of the room. We specifically asked them to not set out their “complimentary” guest book because we were providing our own and they set it out anyway. Simple things like our names being spelled correctly, having the correct contact information, even remembering what ballrooms we were suppose to have was always incorrect. The overall event was pretty. Our guests did not notice any of these things and had a nice time. But the planning process with Marty and the LaMalfa staff was NOT worth it. I’d tell any family member, friend, or stranger on the side walk: DO NOT have an event here. Simply not worth the haste of dealing with this staff. Safe yourself the time and energy and go somewhere where the staff will respect your wishes and give you what you paid for!

e Katie, Gina, and LeAnn. These three went SO above and beyond what we could have asked for, and without these three, things would not have gone as smooth. I can say so many things about each of them and how amazing they are. We can't thank the team enough for everything and for making our day everything we could have dreamed of. Everything flowed smoothly, our guests had an amazing time, the venue was beautiful, the staff was friendly, etc. I could say so many good things. Our wedding will definitely be one to remember forever, not just for us, but for our guests as well!

Truly picture perfect. Our ballroom was breathtaking, and each guest was well taken care of. I had compliments coming in weeks after the reception about how much fun our friends and family had. LaMalfa's reputation supersedes itself. Thank you Marty and company for making my dreams come true. Truly appreciated working with not only you, but all the wedding planners you guided me to in the process.

nth or so handling every little question I could think of and took everything in stride. I will say it is best to be prepared and organized the more coordinated you are with your timeline and vendors the easier it will be in scheduling your day with the venue. My only disappointment was that our dietary restrictions weren’t met for the meals at the reception, it was unclear how it was intended to be dealt with but I know for a fact we did work tirelessly to create a detailed list to make them aware of the allergies our guests had. Fortunately, no one was affected due to the mix up, even though some guests were served what they couldn’t eat, l would just be aware of that when choosing the menu and discussing your guests needs. On a side note, that doesn’t really affect LaMalfa but may come into play when booking an event there, there is a hotel attached known as Wingate by Wyndham and it is certainly not worth the convenience of staying on property. I’m not sure how they are affiliated with LaMalfa but they are incredibly bad for business for this venue so I hope they consider another hotel company in the future. Aside from our hotel stay, everything with La Malfa from start to finish for our special day was hands down perfect, I couldn’t be happier with our experience and I really appreciate all their hard work in making our wedding a dream come true!

an up/ pack up services, decorations, etc . Nice for a bride or groom who wants to use one main vendor for majority of needs but definitely requires being organized as communication is not their strongest suit. Would still recommend because our day and experience was amazing.

listen to what it is that you want and will accommodate you in any way they can. This part can be stressful but they made it fun. The food possibilities are endless. You will not find another venue who will provide all of the food you get for the price. People raved about the appetizers (you get 8), and everything else. We looked at quite a few different places and for the price you could not get close to what you get at LaMalfa. It is also very convenient that there is a hotel connected to the venue. All of the staff were amazing. The main person running the reception, Jake, was amazing. He made sure everything ran perfectly and he was very professional. We showed up to the reception 30 minutes late due to getting stuck in traffic and he pushed everything back 30 minutes. Most places will not do this. Again, we cannot say enough. LaMalfa made our night perfect and we could not have asked for anything better!

e and beyond; special thanks to Renee, Erika, and Jake! The owner, Marty, was awesome. He was attentive, helpful, and made sure everything went perfectly. I wouldn’t change a thing!

e whole facility was was stunning! Many of the guests commented on how convenient it was to have the wedding and reception at the same location. Everyone at Lamalfa was so helpful. Renee was there to answer any and all questions that we had. Our ballroom captains Erika and Jake were very organized and had everything under control, from start to finish. Marty Lamalfa is the best in his field, always a professional! The quality of service we received was outstanding! And the food is incredible!!!

nt from out of town, which is difficult in itself. Nevertheless, Renee was very helpful and accommodating in answering all of my questions. Marty was very helpful in making last minute decision on the menu and venue layout. Our final meeting went great. Marty was very pleasant with us and our son. I also can’t forget all the extra decorations and items Marty threw in at no additional cost. We were very happy with the venu and the staff, and our guest could not stop talking about how nice everything was!! Thank you Marty and Renee for making our event so special!

answered every question, and made us feel comfortable. I never dreamed that we could afford a venue of that caliber, but even with the silver package, upgraded bar, and many other details, we got the best bang for our buck. Our guests have been gushing over the food and drinks for days. We cannot thank the LaMalfa team enough for throwing us one heck of a beautiful party!!! We would recommend this venue to anyone!

r was amazing. He was very willing to work with us and help us out in certain areas. He is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond steering us in the right direction in planning, not wasting money, finding other vendors, etc. Renee his assistant was equally amazing. She is obviously well versed in dealing with crazy stress and stressful families ( or not and we just gave her a run for her money). She was so helpful and answered back all of our emails right away. So when your wedding day actually comes you will have a ballroom captain and I was terrified that they weren't going to be on top of things. Wrong. He was perfect!!! He kept us on schedule, he kept telling us what was next and what exactly we were supposed to be doing. I could write about them forever but I'll just leave it with saying that the day was perfect and they entire staff was perfect. If anything went wrong, I didn't know and they made sure not to stress me out with it. AMAZING!!!!

d to make sure that my special day was superb. Anything that was asked for was received. All staff members were very hands-on and attentive to each guest. The food was excellent. The venue including the chapel and ballrooms were breathtaking. Also, having the hotel in the same vicinity was a huge bonus. Bringing family from all New York, North and South Carolina, Virginia, California etc was not an easy task by far, but LaMalfa was a venue that exceeded everyone's expectations. My husband and I are still receiving phone calls from friends and family speaking on how magnificent the wedding & reception was at this venue! It was a BEAUTIFUL night to remember! I am happy to say that my dream wedding happened at LaMalfa!

tful with the planning and on the day of the wedding. The staff took care of everything for us so we didn't have to worry. The venue looked amazing and so was the food. Well my steak was a little overcooked for my taste but that's because I like mine blue/rare. But overall LaMalfa is a great venue with great food and service. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to hold a wedding or another big occasion.

his team took care of everything so we didn't have to worry about anything. Our guests could not stop talking about how great everything was: the space, the food the bar, the service. We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding here!

e so easy to work with throughout the entire process. Marty provided many helpful tips from beginning to end. Everything was set up as we had planned when we arrived. It was beautiful! Therefore, we were able to enjoy our time with no issues. I would definitely recommend LaMalfa for your big day!

I had growing up, and even throughout the whole planning process, were blown out of the water when I saw what my venue looked like. The room was stunning and could not have been put together any more perfectly. I cannot thank Marty enough for exceeding ALL expectations and making my wedding day more perfect than I could have imagined! I would definitely recommend LaMalfa for a wedding or any event that you are thinking of having. The venue is beautiful and Marty is great to work with!

one thing after another and how issues were handled was extremely unprofessional. I was trying to fix things that shouldn't have been a problem all the way up until the wedding day. I was called three days before my wedding day and told that they never knew I was getting table clothes and that now I have to pay to redo the venue because it's my fault. Even though I got the table clothes with LaMalfa's vendor and have emails confirming that. As you can imagine my stress levels were through the roof and the staff just added to that. On a positive note, the main guy I worked with the day of was great and the two young gentleman who were recently hired were great and very accommodating. They do have a great cocktail hour too. But, I was told a few times that the bartenders were not very nice and turned people away if they just wanted some water. Additionally, my food was wrong and over cooked. We talked about the meal plenty of times and still the chicken was wrong and we were never asked if our meals were okay. Not a huge deal because my guests did say that the food was good, but when things just keep going wrong, it is a big deal. I could go on but basically working with LaMalfa was very unpleasant. Sadly, the one thing I would change about my wedding would be the venue, but with 400 guests, my options were limited.

our guest minimum and also have a discount for a Friday wedding which was so helpful. They truly listen to your requests and do anything and everything to make your wishes come true. The packages they offer are spectacular because it allowed me to not have to worry about the food, bar, ceremony location, or general ambiance. They also have several enhancements that can be added on for that extra something special. The day of the wedding of course is always nerve racking but the ballroom captain, Greg, was amazing. He kept things on track and made sure everything was pulled off flawlessly. The food was amazing and the room looked stunning. I cannot give the staff at LaMalfa enough praise for helping me create my perfect wedding! Thank you all so much!!!

er was married there and our wedding was just as amazing as his was!

es we experienced on the day of the wedding was not having the type of beer we had requested. They did go out and by a few cases for the bridal party however was disappointed that this detail was missed. However, overall the reception was decorated and executed beautifully. I would recommend to someone looking for a good place to have an amazing reception.

, worry free venue for their wedding.

rything from the rehearsal dinner to the last dance. I would recommend this venue for anyone wanting to stay indoors. We also got married in the chapel at LaMalfa which was simple, but beautiful. We got many compliments through out the night (especially on the food) and were very pleased with how smooth everything went.

ur contract no gravy/mushroom gravy...they 'had' to add gravy since chef were worried it was dried. Hmm...bullshit. i have been to top notch steakhouse etc...not one of them had to have brown gravy added to keep it moist. Tables layout was wrong. They HAD three or four weddings going on at the same time. then when I had asked for partial refund for steak. They refused and had add that they have gave us all kinds included. And Which were not said in our contract. At the end, she said its how they do their business. I am being honest I used to work there and knew how it runs and thought it would be great doing it there...I was wrong but our night with family and friends were fanastic partying with dj etc. Funny, overall throughout processing everything was positive, helpful & agreeable until our wedding after our wedding...there weren't any compassion, helpful or agreeable. We spend tons of money to them trusting them to do their contract properly.

ical! They were kind and organized.

ally helpful. I got the least expensive package and it was still wonderful. It did seem in the moment that some things that were promised were not carried out at the reception, but in the wedding moment I did not notice until after and realized that things like, announcing certain things and cutting the cake were not taken care of. Which made me a little sad. They took the food away before I was finished, I wish that would have been out longer. Mr. LaMalfa was fantastic to work with. The decorations were great. Food was fantastic! We had a non-alcoholic wedding and they had an open "soda bar" which was wonderful. I felt truly special, the staff was so so so nice! It was a wonderful night and I could not have asked for a better night. There was a bridal room to get ready in, and we got discounts on the hotel. Just you should have your wedding here, you will not be disappointed :)

During the planning process I worked with Jessica the assistant and she made sure all my requests were taken care of. Mr. LaMalfa was there was us the whole time during the ceremony even helping to fix my dress!! He helped the ceremony to go smooth. My only complaint was my request to walk down the aisle to Canon in D did not happen. There was a pianist that took care of the music for the ceremony, so maybe it was their fault. But it still was beautiful. The reception site was fabulous! It was just as I imagined. The food was out of this world. The appetizers was amazing!!I would recommend this place for everyone.

Day before our wedding, Jessica and Kyle were thee to make sure all of my favors and little décor was handled with care. The day of our event, I went down to see if anything needed to be done, Jessica and Kyle were there to make sure I was ok and not panicking. What a great group of people. Food, service, décor everything was amazing and I wouldn't have changed a thing!!

orked with us every single step of the way but when reception time came it got a little messy. We werent sure who exactly our ballroom captain was, our guests were served BEFORE the bridal table and parents table, staff was sitting in chairs watching everyone instead of doing their job, my father had brought his homemade wine (6 gallons) and they lied to a few of our guests saying "they ran out" and luckily my MOH called the one bartender out on it and a gallon just happend to appear, my fathers prosciutto also magically disappeared when he had brought POUNDS of it, some of the serving staff was a little sketchy and Marty was no where to be found at the begining of the reception when we were told he would be there. But in all honesty, our guests had nothing but compliments and we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest. The food was wonderful, they packed our centerpieces and table numbers for us along with picture frames and other things we had brought, ambiance was just perfect, we had the bridal room which was a complete life saver and they even gave us a fan to put in there (wedding dresses are heavy in June!), myself and my husband enjoyed ourselves and honestly are happy with our experience overall.

e things I wanted from our wedding day was for no one to worry about anything - I didn't want my mother to be running around setting stuff up or people driving everywhere making sure everything was where it needed to me and LaMalfa made this possible. They took care of everything! They were prompt in responding to any questions I had via e-mail or phone. My only small complaint would be that when planning the menu we asked for a sauce without mushrooms as both my husband and I don't like them but when we were served that night there were mushrooms on our plates. In the grand scheme of things this was minuscule and didn't impact how wonderful our evening was. Marty was honest and generous and it was a pleasure working with him and everyone at LaMalfa!

your wedding party. They made sure that we were comfortable. The hotel attached is a bonus for guests that are out of town. The ambiance of LaMalfa is perfect. Its a big enough space to accomodate any size of wedding.

uldn't have been a success if it wasn't for the location, value, food, and staff.

uests appreciated that the hotel was attached.

The room was beautiful and everyone liked the food a lot. It's a great space as long as you don't mind being next to another ballroom. We couldn't hear any noise from the other larger wedding. It was also very important to have the hotel since the majority of our guests were from out of town. One drawback is that we had to clean up, dispose, and box the rented hardware for the floral centerpieces on Monday, but they did gather them up after the reception, and let us use the sink. We did not think we would be able to afford LaMalfa, but we checked it out anyways and they gave us a great price that included everything--food, cake, alcohol. We had a beautiful reception, and would highly recommend LaMalfa to anyone hosting a reception on the northeast side.

ked. Pretty decor, does not cover bad manners

was very helpful and the hall, the food, the service, and the decor were everything we'd hoped for and more. I would highly recommend.

he business they know what works and what does not. We as a couple were treated like special guests always. When we walked into to our reception the room took my breath away. We was what I pictured then some. The all around service was amazing from thier caterers to the hotel and the amazing service staff and the wonderful assistant they have. we always felt important like we were the only guest. It is one on one service you never talk to a different person everytime you check in or have meetings. I would 110% recommend LaMalfa. I woke up the next morning not regreting a thing it went perfect.

Know for sure the minimum number of guests you are going to have.

as 4 seperate rooms for events, if you do not want any type of event such as a prom held on the same name make sure you verify and then double check this event is not being held on the same night

they kept us on track as far as bridal dances, cake cutting, etc. They even had plates of food for us to take up to the hotel room afterwards if we were hungry. It was PERFECT!
