La Pera Catering & Events

up having 3 tastings in one day. La Pera was our last stop and we were SO full when we showed up, and still devoured every dish they put in front of us. We couldn’t stop talking about the food for days after, and it was just as good on the wedding day. Honestly, my only regret is not eating more of it. We can’t recommend them enough!

From the incredible flavors to the beautiful presentation, the food was genuinely unforgettable - not just delicious, but creative and perfectly suited to our celebration. Working with Liz, our event manager, was such a gift. She was kind, calming, and so organized. I trusted her completely throughout the planning process, which made such a big difference on the day of. She made us feel confident that everything would be taken care of, and she absolutely delivered. The service was exceptional as well. The team was attentive, professional, and seamless from start to finish, making sure every detail was handled so we could actually enjoy our night. We are so grateful for the entire team and could not recommend them more.

nu selection that they helped us decide on was amazing. We got so many compliments on our food which included butternut chilaquiles and Mexican elote and cotija hash and so many more delicious options. Everyone we worked with was so kind and accommodating. My only complaint is that I was so full of nerves I didn't get to eat as much as I wanted to. If you are looking for a unique caterer in the Austin area, La Pera is the one to choose.

o the day of family style dinner and late night snack! These ladies have it down to a science and they listened to any revisions I had for the quote before payment and the nitpicking I had with creating an authentic Chicago-style hotdog for our guests! Multiple people came up to me and said “this is the BEST wedding food I have ever had!” I cannot recommend them enough! Do yourself a favor and hire La Pera!

presentation and quality of food. Our complimentary tasting exceeded our expectations! I recommend their pie and ice cream bar! I wish I could have gotten it but it was beyond our budget . They work with other linen companies in town to help your vision come together. Communication was quick and reasonable. All our guests raved about the food, which in my opinion is the most important part.

was on point. Our friends were super impressed by the quality and taste of the appetizers and main dishes and had amazing things to say about La Pera. They also went above and beyond in terms of providing zero-waste or compostable serveware; sustainability was an important feature of our wedding. The best way to get in touch with them is via scheduling a phone call; communication was spotty in the beginning but once we got accustomed to only communicating via scheduling phone calls on their online portal, it went smoother from there. Overall, aesthetics and taste were phenomenal.

m was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about creating a special experience for us and our guests. Every dish was thoughtful, seasonal, and full of flavor—guests are still talking about the food, and honestly, so are we. They handled dietary needs with ease, the presentation was stunning, and the entire service ran like clockwork. It’s rare to find a caterer who delivers both elevated cuisine and warm, seamless hospitality. We felt like we were hosting a beautiful dinner party with the most talented team behind us. Truly unforgettable.

he influence of where we got engaged. The service was seamless throughout our cocktail hour, dinner, and late-night snack service. La Pera went above and beyond by assisting with a special request for birthday cake service for three members of our wedding party, allowing us to surprise them with candle lit birthday cakes. They also coordinated with other vendors to ensure an additional dessert was tabled appropriate and plates were always refilled. The unique service items added an elevated touch to the buffet, making it visually stunning. The team was responsive to changes, even on the day of the event, and they worked diligently to manage any weather-related issues without missing a beat. We’d highly recommend La Pera for any event!

Royal Fig's closure, and immediately got us in for a tasting, answering any and all questions with patience and expertise. La Pera's responsiveness and willingness to accommodate all allergies were outstanding. Everything was clearly marked during passed appetizers so guests know what was included. They went above and beyond to make special gluten-free appetizers just for me, the bride, which was such a thoughtful touch. And let's not forget the food and cocktails—they were nothing short of incredible! Being from the northeast, incredible food was a MUST at our wedding and the La Pera team knocked it out of the park. Not only do they have unique and differentiated menu offering, every bite was so flavorful and wowed us. Our guests are still raving about how delicious everything was. We did a full service dinner with hibiscus chicken & braised short-rib with a side of guajillo mashed potatoes and both entrees were some of the best food we've ever eaten. Their team truly put our minds at ease during a stressful time. Planning full-service catering for 100 people within just 45 days seemed seamless under their expert guidance. The staff was very friendly and made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. We are so grateful and happy that we found La Pera to cater our wedding and can't recommend them enough!!

day where the food tasted exactly the same as the first time we tried it (which is apparently rare in the wedding industry according to our planner), La Pera handled all of the necessary details. During and after the wedding, friends and family could not stop complimenting and asking about the food! Even the aesthetic of La Pera's plating and style were a perfect match to our more natural style that we were aiming for on the day. Their servers were also fabulous and attentive. We would absolutely use La Pera again for any big events we might have.

om our guests saying it was delicious and defiantly the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. If you hire them, you are in great hands.

es reminiscing about the La Pera's catering they ate at our wedding. One couple was even out to dinner at a high-end restaurant in Portland, OR when their conversation turned the food they had at our wedding. Beth and her team's food not only tastes great but it looks absolutely gorgeous and the presentation is top notch. We can't recommend La Pera any higher!

ortantly it was absolutely fantastic.

pare. Beth and her team are truly incredible and I highly recommend booking them for any event. Our guest could not stop talking about how it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding—even those with dietary restrictions!

pliments on the food. We'd recommend their services to anyone planning an event or wedding!

e for our wedding. We felt that she listened to our needs and was very easy and flexible when we wanted a different option or needed to change something. On the day of, her team was very efficient with their time and were very willing to work around our venue's needs in regards to set up. The staff was very caring and attentive to our guests, and it was apparent that they put a lot of love into their work. The overall presentation of our food was stunning, and guests could not stop complimenting the food. We will be dreaming about that meal for the rest of our lives! Beth was a wonderful person to work with for such a stressful occasion, as she made it easy and comfortable to make decisions and work through various options. I would recommend La Pera a thousand times over due to their incredible service they provide. It is clear they have a lot of love for what they do! Cheers. :)

or ~50 people, cocktail bites, limonada (including a boozy version behind the bar), and a dessert table with lots of mini bites. They also made us a special version of the cheesecake for us to cut. Working with the team was such a smooth process as well, they made sure we had all the info we needed and were happy ahead of time. The presentation was gorgeous as well. We had many people come up to us/tell us later that it was the best meal they've had at a wedding!

unique menu and makes most of the food onsite. From their homemade tortillas to creative drinks, they take that extra step to create a menu that is more than just your average Tex-Mex They made the planning phase easy and working with Beth was wonderful. We appreciated their flexibility and approach for personalization. We really wanted to have a fajita family style package and they were willing to make it a reality for us. We loved the atmosphere for our tasting and their willingness to incorporate our tasting notes. La Pera was one of the first vendors we got onboarded. They were proactive in the planning process and would solicit information as opposed to us constantly following up with them. They were great at responding to our emails and setting up phone conversations. They helped us strengthen our vision for the dinner and helped give suggestions for rentals that would tie nicely with the theme. We appreciated their open communication and clear expectations of what they needed from us. They were exceptional during the day of the wedding, they set up on time, food was served warm and the staff was friendly. Our guests praised the food and continued to talk about it months later. We especially enjoyed finishing the leftovers throughout the week after our event. We could not recommend them more.

e wonderful owner and her team - check! Everything was perfect and delicious and amazing. Beth and her team are true professionals and SO lovely and easy to work with throughout the process. Our guests raved about the food and custom cocktails - one of the very best parts of our wedding and reception! The ending…Happily Ever After!

erved family style, and they offered many surprising dishes to choose from (the cabbage was amazing!) in addition to traditional staples like patatas bravas. Speaking to our guests after the wedding, we heard numerous times that the food was considered outstanding. We'd highly recommend them for the food. In looking at the 1 star reviews, they both note poor communication from La Pera in the early stages. We would agree that communication was a challenge at times early on, but once we got things squared away they showed up and delivered on the big day. Definitely would recommend.

ada and a honey chipotle butter chicken biscuit. Our wedding day was a dream, and the food La Pera prepared for us was equally memorable.

hey did not show up to. I took off work/left work early for both of those meetings and they obviously dont care. Horrible service!!!

ld have still signed as we loved the food. Our Venue reached out as well in attempt to help us get a hold of someone and they never responded to them either. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

nevitable changes that occur on event day. During the planning process, their team was friendly and accommodating. As a professional in the events industry, I couldn't recommend them more! Choose La Pera as your event / wedding caterer!

raving about it either. We feel so fortunate that we found La Pera and their team, who truly made my special day even better than I could have imagined. Working with Alex and Beth to plan the menu was such a pleasure. They were both so helpful, patient, and creative in crafting a menu that reflected my vision and preferences. I appreciated how they listened to my ideas and provided expert guidance to help me make the best choices. On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly thanks to the professionalism and kindness of the entire La Pera team. They made sure that everything was set up perfectly, and the service was impeccable. It was so nice to know that I didn't have to worry about a thing, and I could just enjoy the day with my loved ones. I can't thank La Pera enough for making my wedding such a memorable and delicious experience. If you're looking for an exceptional caterer for your event, look no further than La Pera Catering!

entation is gorgeous; the team is helpful and diligent. My husband and I would choose them again in a heartbeat, and you should definitely choose them!!

so amazing day of, making sure everything went off without a hitch. We had a few unique requests such as cocktail table service, specific drink orders, etc., and they were so easy to work with. We highly recommend La Pera to anyone looking for a caterer!

completely floored by the catering and bar and still can’t stop telling us how much they loved it (especially the prickly pear paloma!). They went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary needs with such ease and style. The food was spectacularly flavorful, original, and satisfying (e.g. chili-rubbed salmon, paella, brisket bolinho). The honey lavender goat cheese balls went so fast that our photographer only got a picture of the toothpicks! La Pera’s full-service staff handled every aspect of our reception seamlessly and gracefully. We would work with them again in a heartbeat!

food and drinks at our wedding. Their staff was also so wonderful and helpful! I don’t think there was a single hitch in the day. If you want good food that creates an atmosphere in and of itself, pick La Pera!

for itself - the dishes our unique and flavorful, yet received SO well from a crowd which had both adventurous and pick eaters! The team at La Pera went above and beyond and worked tirelessly on our day to make sure our guest were well taken care of. As for my husband and I, the team completely spoiled us, constantly making sure we had food in front of us and a drink in our hands. I am SO glad we found them and cannot recommend them enough!

our guests couldn't say enough nice things about how delicious the food was or how amazing the drinks were. We worked with LaPera to create a custom menu that incorporated food from each side of our families (lumpia, pierogis) that they used from local shops. In order to promote additional safety measures, we worked with LaPera to have chef-attended food stations (food fest style) and serve passed appetizers. They created these cute 'jarcuterie' cups to serve their famous LaGraza board but individual style. Our guests LOVED this. They were also very accommodating with any food allergies and dietary restrictions that we provided for our guests. For our main courses, we had a perfectly crisp but juicy salmon and a mouth-water short-rib with purple potato mash that our guests still talk about today. Honestly, one of the best meals we've ever had and we are so glad we actually got to enjoy the food at our wedding! They also provided us 'to-go' boxes for us to eat after the fact. For the bar, we had a signature cocktail 'Make your own Gin and Tonic' that had multiple tonic options and fresh berry/fruit/herb additions that you can customize for your drink order. It was a hit! We also were able to serve this in a mocktail format for those guests who do not / or were unable to drink. Would definitely recommend them for bar services as well since it's such a seamless experience! We absolutely loved the taste and service the day of! We did have a few issues with communication - with the pandemic and a few other things (as most places were this past year and a half) - we did not receive as timely of a response as we were looking for, but we were able to work together and get everything sorted out before the big day! Thanks to the staff of LaPera for making our day DELICIOUS! Cheers, Erin & Alan (9-5-21)

wedding and La Pera delivered!! The food was off the charts good and their cocktails were an absolute hit with our guests. Seriously, we ran out of whiskey because the old fashions were SO GOOD (everyone was talking about them). Their staff was professional and kept our guests happy all night. The process of working with the team on the menu was easy. They also created our menus, table numbers, and bar signs and y'all... THEY NAILED IT! They took inspiration from my wedding invitations and really added a cool design to the overall look of the wedding. Look no further, please book La Pera for your event. I am a very happy bride :)

essert. They worked so well with the other vendor team and service was top notch. Would recommend to any that loves food and needs a full service caterer for their wedding, La Pera is one of a kind!

own to earth vendors who care about them and provide them with amazing service. La Pera does all of this and more.

tory and created appetizers that were fun and playful. They executed on site and used fresh ingredients that shined through. On top of that, the service was amazing. The presentation of the dish was beautiful and they captivated the audience by sharing their inspiration behind each dish. The servers were fun to engage with during dinner, creating a warm and inviting enviroment, from bartender / somm, to servers, to chefs. We felt like they were part of our group. I cannot wait to have a reason to work with them again for another event!!

per fresh, colorful, unique, and delicious. We got so many compliments on the food. Even now, many months later, guests still talk about the food. Also Lisa and the rest of the La Pera team were awesome to work with. We were somewhat high maintenance and had a lot of questions, specific needs and requests, and a budget that we wanted to stay within. Throughout the whole process La Pera, especially Lisa, were incredibly accommodating and patient. Thank you Lisa! On the wedding day the staff was excellent and very attentive towards us and our guests. Book La Pera! You will not be disappointed!

he food but also the silverware, linens and favors for our guest. They also did a custom menu and bar menu. Their signature cocktails list is to die for. If you are Looking for friendly service, great conversations and a wedding to talk about for years to come, book La Pera.

de range of dietary restrictions (some people are vegan and others are meat and cheese people). They put together a gorgeous tasting menu and worked with us as we went through to design our wedding's menu that fit our taste and our budget. They were kept in contact through our year of planning., being very flexible as a few needs changed, and when the day came, CRUSHED it! They were very attentive to each guest and as well as my new husband and I. Everyone loved their custom cocktails, apps, dinner, and latte night snack. I could not recommend this group more.

t our wedding day brunch menu for months after our tasting. The team is thoughtful and responsive and was incredibly helpful in making our day special, including bottling their incredible salsa for favors and helping personalize small details, like a boudain fritter tower in place of a groom's cake. Friends and family raved about their food and my partner and I found ourselves looking forward to leftovers when we had a few guests not be able to make it last minute. All this to say - please book with La Pera. Their team and work is incredibly special and unique, and they contributed more to the overall vibe of our wedding than I could have ever believed possible. You will love them!

and every dish (and drink!) fantastic. Will absolutely hire again next time we need catering!

le to step in last minute and create a menu that aligned perfectly with our overall vision. Our guests were raving about the food, and the specialty cocktail (prickly pear Paloma). They turned a disaster into a perfect dinner. All of the staff were excellent as well!
