We are not people who take a ton of pictures of ourselves, but she made each photo session comfortable and relaxing. When I arrived at the Lewis Dream Home for the shoot, she helped me style both the indoor and outdoor spaces we'd be working with. Kristin has such an amazing eye for those types of things, and really can make any creative vision come to life. I basically said that I wanted "1970's style candids", which might be hard for some people to envision, but she knew exactly what I meant. I'm a pretty shy person, but she made me feel super comfortable while taking pictures, and we actually had a really great time trying out different poses and backdrops. The whole experience was just really great-- I've worked with Kristin in the past (for my senior photos) and plan to work with her again in the future! Besides being a ridiculously talented photographer, she's so sweet and accommodating, and just generally great to be around!

I shifted to seeking photographers whose work I actually liked- Imagine that! Needless to say, Kristin is an artist. Not only is she the sweetest person you will ever meet, but she is incredibly professional and from the first interaction I felt like we had made a new friend. Having your picture taken is a vulnerable thing, and we had never done anything like this before, but Kristin made us feel so comfortable- she's tricky that way! She took our engagement photos in our own backyard, which we adore, and just recently photographed and did some videography at our wedding. Yes, folks this girl does it all! We cannot not wait to see the full set, as she's been teasing us with a few shots so far! Lastly, I have to also commend her assistant Kelly. The two of them are quite a pair juggling cameras! Their calm demeanor is exactly what every couple needs on their special day amidst all the craziness!

What's more, though she could coast on the quality of her photography alone, she insists on going above and beyond for her clients. For example, I've witnessed her purchasing (possibly to her husband's chagrin) two highly expensive items simply for the enhancement of her client's session: an engagement ring and a classic-model VW Bus! Working with Kristin is hitching your wagon to a star; I'm ever-grateful to have done it!

But I have to say, some of my most favorite shots were of the quieter moments throughout the day; like my mom buttoning up my sister's dress, the looks on my dad and brother's faces seeing my sister in her wedding dress for the first time, and sweet little kisses between my sister and her new husband throughout the reception. Those moments are what tell the story of their love, and to have them captured on film is truly priceless.

st to find the perfect photographer. Once I found Kristin's page, I knew I had found the person I wanted to take our wedding pictures. Every photograph had a dreamy quality and the colors were so beautiful. At first my fiancé was unsure because he had a budget on his mind and wanted to make sure we tried all of our options but once we got our engagement pictures back he was sold. They turned out so perfect and Kristin worked with us to take photos at two different locations. We got so many compliments and couldn't wait for our wedding day. The day of our wedding Kristin corralled everyone in place and went above and beyond to ensure that we got the shots we wanted, including a last minute almost first look where my soon to be husband and I exchanged letters through the chapel door. When we got the pictures back they were even better than we imagined. She captured all of the emotion and love from the day and her suggested scenes and poses looked great. If you are thinking about hiring Kristin to be your wedding photographer, do yourself a favor and get it done. You will not regret it and you will have beautiful pictures of your wedding for generations of your family to enjoy.

Kristin's work exposes and preserves atmospheric ephemera without making her images seem staged, or fussy. We believe that there is absolutely a time and place for heavy-handed arrangements and formally staged editorial-minded aspirational editing, but we wanted something less contrived; photographs that captured the magic inherent to the occasion - not an imaginary day in a magazine that we couldn't relate to when reviewing our album, post-wedding. Somehow, Kristin blends her own brand of journalistic style with the ability to carefully frame small, meaningful details, to accurately capture and enhance the day. She understands that your shoes, your earrings, your place cards were carefully thought out, and honors them in a way that takes an ordinary object (or an ordinary moment) to a level of abject timelessness. If you don't want your bridesmaids giggling in your posed shot, if you don't want a lovely inadvertent sunflare in your image, if you're not okay with the shot of your groom nervously fidgeting, or the errant, lovely hair that has made it's way out of your updo, gently floating in the breeze, Kristin isn't the photographer for you. A lot of other photographers spend about 2 hours after the ceremony for portraits but she was really quick and courteous of the guests. She braved a 19 degree morning to capture our first look, and was extremely polite while taking photos in our strict Episcopal Church. I don't know how she blended mingling with our family while still being able to capture our day, but she did so beautifully. We are still trying to select our favorite pictures to frame and hang in our home and are having a difficult time because there are COUNTLESS amazing shots that we would be fortunate to hang as true 'art' on our walls. I would hire Kristin again in a heart beat and have, and will continue to, recommended her to all my friends who are getting married. Yay photos for a lifetime of memories!

We used Kristin's timeline on our wedding day- she kept us on schedule and also managed to capture all the special moments and details that were uniquely us. My only complaint would be having too many gorgeous photos to narrow down favorites for our gallery wall! :)

yone had the same pictures over and over again, the lighting was "meh" and the subjects were.. ya know boring. Then I saw Kristin! AMAZING! I instantly fell in love with her style of photography. Her photos are beautiful and she captures moments that I think many other photographers don't see. Her details in her lighting and subject matter never fail to impress me..even when the situations are not ideal she always makes everything flow beautifully. I also had the pleasure of working with her after my engagement shoot on three separate occasions. One for her personal portfolio which was a total blast, and may I add beautiful, my boudoir, sexy, classic and elegant, and of course my wedding day. My wedding day did not have the most ideal situations with transportation, and a few other unfortunate timing details. However, Kristin remained professional, sweet, and worked her butt off! she even helped with transportation! Which was above and beyond! The end result was fantastic as always! I never had any problems working with Kristin. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she is an outstanding woman. She upholds herself with grace, a high standard of professionalism, and a creative whimsey that is hard to find.
